About: I am experienced with caring for all kinds of dogs. I have access to many dog parks and walk them up to 5 times a day. I adapt to the pet’s needs to give them the best care. I have a golden retriever (6 mo.) and a labradoodle (10 yrs). My golden (Sunny) is super friendly and loves to make friends! “Clyde was boarded for a week with Kathleen on New Years while we were out of town! She did an amazing job keeping us informed on how he was doing and sent lots of pictures throughout the trip! She was very vigilant in asking us how we have trained Clyde and what we do to curve some of his bad habits; she used the same training techniques that we use so it wouldn’t confuse Clyde. Kathleen also has her own pup (Honey) who played with Clyde the whole week. He came home super tired and beat (which is rare for him). The following days after his visit were also a joy because he still listened and followed most of our commands/routines. Usually when we leave him at my moms, he comes home and acts differently (bad) because she lets him get away with so much. Overall, Kathleen did a great job with Clyde and we will definitely be having him boarded with her and Honey again!”

About: I’ve always been around animals growing up and have walked for various family friends! I used to have a boxer dog who was my best friend, and I’m looking to be around dogs again! I’m a college student who is home for the summer that loves to walk and exercise while hanging out with your furry family member! I’m free in the mornings until 12pm, Tuesday-Saturday. I grew up on a ranch with dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and sheep. I have volunteered at my local animal shelter off and on for a few years and was in 4-H for many years. I have experience with extremely large dogs to tea cup chihuahuas, three legged dogs, dogs needing end of life care (medication administration, pet inhalers), puppies who haven’t been house trained and even service animals. I always talk to the owners to ensure that I am following their routine and keeping an eye out for any bad habits the dog may have- chewing on cords, digging by fences. I am aware of what food is toxic to dogs and never leave it out. I avoid other dogs on walks and look out for unknown food on the sidewalks that they may be tempted to eat.

About: I've grown up and lived with dogs most of my life. The best part of visiting home is getting to see our long haired terrier and our chihuahua mix. I've dog and house sat multiple times for friends who live in Davis. It’s always been a great experience as I find walking and hanging out with dogs to be a good way of decompressing from classes. I currently have more flexibility in my academic schedule, so I'm open for short or long term pet and house sitting. If you think I may be a good fit, please feel free to reach out. I'm currently helping in a lab on UCD, but my timing is flexible. I can easily work pet and house sitting into my schedule. My current living situation doesn't allow for me to have pets. When it comes to caring for a pet in their home I would follow the existing routines and refer to how the owner cares for their pet. I am a firm believer that it's far less stressful for a dog or cat to be able to stay home while their owner is out of town.
About: I have been a dog lover ever since I was young and I got my first dog when I was 7. I took care of him until he left me. I feel like all animals around me are my best friends. I also volunteered in a non governmental organization in the Philippines to help out with animals who are in need and needs love and attention. Interned in a pet clinic which taught me how to prepare their medicine and inject them in their IV lines If only I could adopt all those animals who need a home I would rush to any animal shelter and provide everything they need. I think that’s what makes me different from other sitters and walkers because in the future I want to be a veterinarian and save animals. It has been my dream to help these lovely creatures. I’m currently a full time veterinary assistant who works Monday to Friday. I have an hour lunch so if its close or they are staying with me, I can swing by and check in on them. During weekends, I am available. I provide a safe environment by dog/cat proofing my place. I am very particular about making sure they don’t get into absolutely anything. These pets are treated like my own. Under my watch, they are treated the best care they possibly can get.
About: I grew up with dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, and turtles. they were family pets and i learned a lot watching my siblings raise their dogs. i have a 7 year old cat that i've raised since he was a kitten. I have also fostered another cat for a few months. although introducing my cat with the foster was time consuming, it was worth to see them get along. I work part time as a barista. i don't have set days off but i work very early mornings. i am also taking a couple online courses, but i go at my own pace so im flexible with afternoons and evenings. just like with little humans, i make sure cleaning supplies, little choking hazards, and toxic foods are stored high in storage closets where my cat can't get into. i vacuum regularly in case i have dropped small pieces of plastic (that my cat loves more than toys for some reason). i will occasionally pet sit for my sister when she is away on vacation. i don't assume i know her pets better than she does, so i have texted her before about a concern i had about her dog. i fed both her pets at the same time, but one refused to eat. instead of assuming that her dog would eventually eat, i reached out to know if there was anything i could do differently and the solution was a change in environment. i would then feed them in separate rooms and that did the trick. i loved sending her pictures of them unprompted and when asked.
About: **I don't charge for additional pets!! I’ve always been an animal enthusiast growing up in the country I did whatever I could to be around animals constantly. In our home we had four dogs, two hamsters, a corn snake, a half-blind horse, countless hermit crabs, and a parakeet. There is truly no animal I don't love and won't do my best to care for. Growing up with these animals I've had the privilege to be there when they were puppies/kittens/babies all the way through the end of their life, so I have extensive experience with care in every life stage. I've carried that love and passion with me into adulthood. As an adult I've worked for a year as a kennel technician at a humane society enriching, socializing, training, and advocating for dogs, cats, and small animals. I also regularly volunteer time at humane societies when I can and regularly foster cats, to date I've successfully fostered over 10 cats who are now all in happy homes. Through fostering I've experienced some harder care cases. Including fostering 3 week old sick kittens requiring syringe feedings, multiple medications, and detailed weight tracking. I've also had the privilege of fostering a hospice case who required food, liquid, and medication administration through an e-tube along with extensive monitoring. No matter what kind of care your pet needs I will do my best to ensure they receive the love, respect, and attention they deserve. I look forward to helping you and your furry (and maybe scaly) family members! I'm avaliable for drop-ins, boarding, and walking M-F after 2:30 PM! I can also do breakfast drop-ins during the week between 5:00-5:30 AM, or earlier if need be. I'm open and available most weekends for all pet care, I keep my schedule updated 3 months out! If you want to book further than 3 months just send me a message and I'm happy to work with you! My top priority is making sure your pet feels comfortable and safe. Each visit, walk, or stay is individual and entirely customizable for your pet. About: I am experienced with caring for all kinds of dogs. I have access to many dog parks and walk them up to 5 times a day. I adapt to the pet’s needs to give them the best care. I have a golden retriever (6 mo.) and a labradoodle (10 yrs). My golden (Sunny) is super friendly and loves to make friends! I ensure that your pet’s needs are met and they have the highest form of care. I’m a junior at the University of California, Davis. I have a flexible schedule with my course work that allows me to be fully engaged with the dogs in my care. I live in a gated community so pets can’t easily get out. I take my puppy on long walks at the Davis Arboretum and have a dog park where I live which ensures they are getting their exercise and playtime. My apartment is clean for health safety. If I am staying at the owner’s home, I will apply the owner’s directions.

“Clyde was boarded for a week with Kathleen on New Years while we were out of town! She did an amazing job keeping us informed on how he was doing and sent lots of pictures throughout the trip! She was very vigilant in asking us how we have trained Clyde and what we do to curve some of his bad habits; she used the same training techniques that we use so it wouldn’t confuse Clyde. Kathleen also has her own pup (Honey) who played with Clyde the whole week. He came home super tired and beat (which is rare for him). The following days after his visit were also a joy because he still listened and followed most of our commands/routines. Usually when we leave him at my moms, he comes home and acts differently (bad) because she lets him get away with so much. Overall, Kathleen did a great job with Clyde and we will definitely be having him boarded with her and Honey again!”

About: I am currently a student at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine to become a vet! I have had pets at home since elementary school including dogs, cats, and chickens. At home I play an integral role caring for each of my pets. My love for animals extends outside of the house as I look to work with animals professionally as a veterinarian. I have 8 years of experience volunteering and working at veterinary clinics. Through my work, I have learned to handle all kinds of breeds and temperaments.
