“Sophie, with a lifetime of experience taking care of dogs, was wonderful with our yellow Lab. Her home has an ample backyard area and is quite welcoming to dogs. Her Boston Terrier plays very nicely with others. Our Lab got lots of love and attention from Sophie, including regular walks in the low-traffic neighborhood near Dominican U. It is abundantly clear that Sophie, an energetic college student trying to earn some money on Rover, could not be more motivated to take phenomenal care of your cherished companion. She did so with our 4 year-old Lab.”

“Tatiana and Renat took such good care of Chewie!! I really appreciated all the updates and pictures and kind words about Chewie - it's so comforting to know your dog is so loved! Thank you so much! ❤️”

“Mary and her husband Mark were such sweethearts and I felt so good having Enzo in their home. Mary was able to accommodate me on super short notice and was flexible with my drop off and pickup schedule. I got lots of pictures from their various walks and I would 100% use Mary again! Highly recommend!”

“Emily was awesome with my slightly anxious rescue dog. Sent updates, very responsive, and flexible about drop off and pick up times. Much appreciate the care she gave my little doggo over the course of a weekend and always felt she was in safe hands.”

About: Growing up, I have always been around animals. I currently have a dog and two cats of my own that I love unconditionally. I have house sat for families with a variety of pets. From taking care of cats, dogs, geckos, and chinchillas, I have found myself to be very responsible person and loving towards all animals, giving them all the attention they need. Being a very active person, I will always give your pet plenty of exercise.
“Our Luna girl stayed with Adam and Julie for over a week and this was herfirst stay with them. We did do a meet and greet a couple months before the actual stay so we had an idea if Luna liked Adam and Julie. Luna is normally a fairly reactive young puppy like adolescent with frequent barking and lungeing at people and dogs that distress her which can be many people and dogs. We went to their home for the meet and greet and Luna was fairly comfortable with Adam and Julie right off the bat. That was definitely a good sign. Two months later and Luna now 2 months older and more mellow has her stay with Adam and Julie. We picked Luna up after our trip and she was happy, playful, and reacted like she had a good stay. Julie and Adam gave us a full report and it seems everything went well. We got a daily picture of Luna sent via text which made us very happy to connect with her. Thanks to Adam and Julie for taking good care of our girl while we were on vacation.”

“We had a wonderful experience boarding Zoe with Wenxin and her partner. We’ve been dealing with some allergies and they helped us keep up with her probiotics and cleansing foam. Zoe was well exercised and came home fully relaxed. They also went above and beyond with dropping her off at our house since they were in the neighborhood that evening, as well as supplementing her food when I forgot a meals worth. Highly recommend especially if you want your dog treated like family!”
“Ashish was amazing ! Very Punctual, Consistent updates about your pet, and lots of pictures. I typically get very anxious leaving my pup somewhere while I’m out of town, but Ashish took the stress away. Definitely going to be a repeat customer!”

“We were worried that our Mimi would be very anxious away from us - but she fit right in to Deborah’s home and we were able to enjoy our time away knowing she was truly cared for. Deborah was great at communication too and seeing Mimi’s smiles in the pictures was wonderful. Definitely will ask Deborah again if the need arises. Thank you!”
“Morgan and Svet were amazing! They took wonderful care of our dog and kept us updated with messages and photos. We could tell he was happy and well-loved while we were gone. Highly recommend!”

“Jana was absolutely fantastic! We left our pup, Stella, with her for two weeks while we were out of the country. It was our first time leaving her for that long with a sitter, but Jana made us feel completely assured and comforted with daily updates, photos, and videos of how much fun they were having together while we were gone. 10/10 recommend Jana as your trusted pet sitter!”

“Thank you Bianca! Bianca took wonderful care of Kuma and we appreciate her excellent communication and flexibility. We would absolutely ask Bianca to dog sit again. Thank you!!”

“Drake had such a wonderful time with Tula. I loved the updates throughout his stay, which gave me comfort knowing he settled in ok and was having a good time. Would definitely recommend her to anyone needing their dog watched, especially since Drake can be reactive to strangers and other dogs. She was very understanding and handled him with a ton of care.”

“Banksy had an amazing time at Luna's and loved playing with Jim. I felt extremely comfortable leaving Banksy with Luna, based on the questions she asked about Banksy, her attention to detail about his needs and safety, and just her kind warm personality! I loved the pictures each day. I wholeheartedly recommend Luna and will definitely be having her watch Banksy again!”

“I was a bit anxious if my dog Shanti would be doing fine at a sitter's place as it was my first time away from her in almost 2 years. But it seems she really enjoyed staying with Kyle and her pup Frankie! Kyle took great care of her and sent lots of happy pics and videos every day (on Halloween day, she even put a cute costume on Shanti ?). She was also responsive before and during the stay. I highly recommend her.”

“Christian was great taking care of our little Fig. He was very prompt at responding to our last-minute request and was a good communicator overall. It sounds like he has a lot of experience taking care of a variety of breeds. We will definitely be using Christian again!”

“Anne was amazing with my cats and home over an extended 2-week assignment. I am reliable, responsible, and trustworthy, and I take great pride in the trust that pet owners place in me. I would be thrilled to have the opportunity to care for your beloved pet and treat them as my own. I also have a dog-walking business license. My husband & I are both self-employed, so our schedules are flexible, we have plenty of time to take care of your pet and always have someone at home. Additionally, I walk my clients’ dogs 3 times a week, so I can take your pet on a long walk with others. If needed, I can also run your dog or play fetch in the park or on the beach. I can also crate your dog if necessary.

“Gabby took great care of our kitties for a couple of days while we were out of town. She communicated with us well and see the care she puts into each session with them. We would hire her again in a heartbeat.”

About: I’ve always had cats and truly love everything about them from playful kittens to gentle seniors. I bring 15 years of veterinary technician experience along with lifelong cat ownership, giving me both professional expertise and a deep personal understanding of feline needs. I currently care for my own 14‑year‑old diabetic cat, who is healthy and thriving thanks to consistent insulin administration, close monitoring, and routine‑based care. I have extensive hands‑on experience with insulin injections, oral and topical medications, Sub‑Q fluid administration, special diets, and recovery care. I’m especially comfortable supporting senior cats, cats with chronic conditions, and anxious or shy cats, using calm, low‑stress handling and patience to help them feel safe and secure. I’m equally happy being playful and engaging with younger, high‑energy cats, tailoring care to each cat’s personality whether that’s interactive play, quiet companionship, or structured medical routines. I’m trained to notice subtle changes in behavior or health and respond quickly and appropriately in emergencies. You’ll also receive daily updates and photos, so you can feel completely at ease knowing your cat is in knowledgeable, loving hands.
“Devon was so great with my cat Peanut and helped me out when my other sitter had to cancel last minute! She was very prompt with her responses, came on time to feed Peanut, and sent the cutest updates and photos! Felt super comfortable leaving Peanut in her care and would definitely recommend her services! Thank you!!”

“Lydia is amazing. Not only did she know how to gain my kitty’s trust and keep her happy and occupied, she also administered daily medication. Lydia is also a great communicator, flexible with her time and clearly devoted to my pet. I couldn’t have left her in better care and will definitely be booking her again.”

About: I’ve worked with many different animals, including cats, dogs, birds, hamsters. I love working and caring for them. Patience is needed to make your furry friends feel comfortable. I’ve worked with many large dog breeds, which include malamutes, German shepherds, pitbulls and even Akita’s. I’m currently work during the day so I am free most evenings Sunday through Thursday. I have more availability on Fridays and Saturdays during the day. I make sure the pets are in safe areas for them so that they don’t get into anything that isn’t safe. I make sure to give them space but follow them just in case. I want them feel comfortable in their space.
“Liza was great. She was able to watch my cat even without much notice. Though I was not able to meet her in person first, after chatting with her I was confident she was the right choice. I loved the pics she sent of my pet. I would definitely rehire her and recommend her to anyone.”

About: I've had dogs in my life since I was a middle schooler. Between my family dogs and dogs who have lived in my home since then I have been responsible for at least 7 dogs, of all shapes, sizes and demeanors. I've kept moody Dachshunds, energetic Shelties, even tempered Retrievers and even rescue Pitbulls. I love hiking and getting outdoors, and bringing a canine friend along. I currently have one dog of my own, a peppy rescue mix, and he is my best friend I am available to dog/house sit very regularly. I am an ecological land designer working most days from home with the exception of days where I need to do a site visit or connect with my team in person. I can pretty much work from anywhere with a good internet connection, so most days would be able to be around in case your dog needs more frequent walks or attention. In addition to dogs I love other pets and plants! If you have house plants, a veggie garden or other plants that need some watering or attention while you're away I'll be able to help in the department as well! I work from home most days, so I am able to be flexible around a pets needs regarding feeding, walks, and medication. Ocassionally I do have to leave home for work, and that is typically up to 4 hours. We have one dog at home and since we don't have a yard, we typically take him up on the ridge to walk, or to the Red hill Dog park or San Quentin beach. These are great places to have some fun exercise

“This was the second time that Kathryn has watched over Peanut. We never have to worry when she watches over our kitten. Peanut is always so comfortable and playful with Kathryn - it makes it easier to enjoy our time away when we know she is in such good hands. Not only does Kathryn take great care of Peanut, our house is somehow always more sparkling when we return which makes for a great homecoming.”

About: I have 2 dogs of my own at home! We love spending our nights after work at the dog park or going on hikes together on the weekends. Most of my friends and neighbors ask me to take care of their pups whenever they travel and it’s something that brings me a lot of joy! I work from home so my schedule is flexible. I can take breaks and go for long or short walks throughout the day. I am most free before work, during my lunch break 1:00-2:00pm or after 5:30pm I am very attentive to the needs of each pet and make sure they feel relaxed in any situation. I have dogs of my own at home and understand the importance of keeping them leashed and safe.
“Jackie care for our shy cat, Mick, over the Thanksgiving break. She did an exceptional job. Communication was frequently and clear and service provided went above and beyond! Will 100% work with Jackie again!”

“Poppy ran happily to Sophie when I dropped her off after only meeting her once during the meet and greet. That says a lot since Poppy is an anxious little girl. She looked very happy when I picked her up as well. Sophie sent updates and photos and was very sweet and easy to work with. I highly recommend her!”

About: Hey, pup friend! I am so excited to meet and love on your pup. I am a UX/UI designer with a nonprofit and I work from home, so whether your dog needs a buddy for the weekend or a work day, I’ve got you covered. I have one sweet pup, Potato, a mini Australian labradoodle who never met a friend he didn't love - human or doggo or otherwise. If you're looking for a personalized boarding experience where your pet gets excellent care and comes back as happy-tired as after a full day at the dog park, I’m your gal. I love taking dogs on hikes near Mount Tam and to the beach when we're on our turf and I firmly believe in the importance of treats and scratchies. I live in an apartment by a dog-friendly beach so we’ll definitely be playing at the playa. I follow your rules so your pet has the same high caliber of care here as at their home. I offer flexible drop-off and pick-up times from 8 am to 8 pm. I take my pup on a daily walk and play with him pretty much constantly whenever he’s not snoozing. Please keep in mind, I only board pups over a year old and cannot board dogs who are not fully potty trained or who need to be taken out more frequently than every 3 hours to potty. I like to follow the rules you've established for your pets - if they aren't allowed on furniture, I’ll make sure that stays. If they are, they're welcome to snuggle on the couch with us. I work from home and take my dog to the beach daily as well as on frequent walks and hikes. We are pretty flexible around here! In my home, we follow your rules. Potato is used to snuggling on rye couch during movie night and on the bed overnight. We welcome snuggle buddies! I am home most of the day working so pets get LOTS of attention and love.

About: I grew up around all kinds of animals and I’ve cared mostly for dogs on the smaller side, but I am good with bigger dogs too. I have some beginner training experience as well. I’m currently working only as a pet caregiver so I have plenty of time to tend to your pet! I have class on Thursdays from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. I live in a very dog friendly apartment building. Dogs are allowed on furniture. They will get frequent walks (morning, afternoon, and evening) and potty breaks (every 2-4 or 4-6 hours depending on dog) and I will set alarms for meals/medications.
About: I have loved animals all my life. I have a special place in my heart for all animals. I have owned and taken care of animals for 40 years. I have a way about myself that puts animals on ease and makes them feel welcome. I can not wait to take the best care of your loved and cherished pet. Thank you for your consideration. I am currently on a sabbatical so I have plenty of time to pet sit. I am available weekends, evenings, and mornings. I am available for long-term arrangements. I have a small fenced yard and I love to go on long walks. I give pets lots off affection and attention if they want it. I also just let them relax if that is what they need. Either way I am a very attentive caretaker.
“Halee was very welcoming and kind towards Teddy. He had a couple of long walks during his visit with her, which he loves to do. He was well-cared for and we appreciated her support”

“Hir and Mitchell were absolutely wonderful with Sheba! From the moment I arrived, they greeted me outside, which immediately made me feel comfortable and confident leaving her in their care. It was clear right away that they are true animal lovers. They took Sheba on a walk right away and kept in great communication with me throughout the time she was with them, which I really appreciated. Everything felt easy—from finding their place to coordinating drop-off and pick-up. I’m so grateful to have found them. Highly recommend!”

Whether it’s a high-energy puppy, a senior dog needing special care, or a shy pup who needs patience and love, I adjust my schedule to meet each dog’s individual needs. I've cared for puppies and seniors needing medication, and everything in between. I'm located right near beautiful walking trails, and beaches, and dog-friendly parks—perfect for pups who enjoy both exercise and social time. When your pet stays with me, they’re part of the family. “I've had one dog daycare with Yvette and was thrilled with how it went. Yvette and John both took such great care of my dog. He had been so nervous, but they went above and beyond to put him at ease. And it worked! He had so much fun with them, he didn't even want to leave at the end of the day. They made it so easy for me coming home after a long day since they tired him out! I'll definitely bring my dog here again.”

“We were traveling and had last minute need for a sitter. What a lucky break finding Carla & Lenny! Not only was our boy well cared for, but he went on a gorgeous hike and made friends! He may have had a better holiday than us! Definitely will use again when we’re back in the area.”

About: I grew up with all kinds of animals in Hawaii and have cared for dogs since I was a child. I have fostered from a local organization in San Francisco while living there, looked after many clients dogs since 2015 and now I am lucky to have found my own sweet baby, a Maltipoo named Frankie. She is very sweet and loves being around other dogs even though it takes her a bit to warm up. Definitely not aggressive. Our house has a fully fenced yard, mostly concrete with some grass on our hill behind the house. I will send pics throughout the visit and you can text me at any time for updates. I know how hard it is to be away from your fur babies! I am currently working remotely, so your dog will never be left home alone! My schedule is also flexible so I can always be available. I have a fully fenced yard. We also have smaller pet gate system that we can use to create smaller areas or keep dogs from specific areas. For car rides, we do have a pet bed with clip on harness for safety.
“Amber was great! She took the trouble to come over for a "meet and greet" with Leo and Bailey the day before her job, which not only established a relationship in advance but gave us a chance to discuss the drill with them in unrushed fashion, ahead of time. Amber has a great chill way with dogs and is a reliable and cheerful person to work with. Would definitely use again.”

In addition, my experience working at Starbucks taught me how to stay calm under pressure, communicate professionally, multitask efficiently, and provide excellent care and service in fast-paced environments. I have a flexible and well-balanced schedule that allows me to consistently make time for pet care throughout the day. About: I have owned a dog since I was 8 years so for 13 years I have lived with a dog. I successfully navigated college with a dog and became a dog walker two years ago for a full time job. I am best at building relationships with the dogs and gaining their respect. I have trained difficult breeds as puppies and I also have much experience with senior care, including bowel problems, joint and bone problems, and distributing medicine. Out of the 15 jobs I have worked since I was old enough to work, this is my favorite one! I find time every day to implement pet care because it has become a part of my own routine as I enjoy it very much! I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both the space and the pet’s habits, whether that means sticking to feeding schedules, walks, medications, crate routines, or just giving them extra attention and playtime. I know every animal is different, so I try to pay attention to their personality and energy level instead of forcing them into a routine that doesn’t fit them. I also prioritize safety during walks and visits by keeping pets supervised, avoiding unsafe environments, double-checking gates/leashes, and making sure they have fresh water, exercise, and a calm environment (and of course cuddles and attention.) I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so I want them to feel relaxed and cared for while their owners are away.

About: Lifelong dog owner experienced caring for dogs at every stage of life, from puppies to senior dogs with ongoing health needs. Comfortable with medication routines, special diets, and following detailed care instructions. I provide attentive, reliable care focused on keeping each dog safe, comfortable, and well looked after. Pet care fits into my daily and weekly routine as my primary focus right now. I’m currently dedicating my time to building consistent availability for walks, drop-ins, and sitting, and I plan my schedule around each booking to ensure reliable, attentive care. This allows me to be flexible, responsive, and fully present for each pet I’m caring for. I care for pets in a way that prioritizes safety, routine, and comfort in their familiar environment. In a client’s home, I follow all provided instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication routines, walk guidelines, and house rules to keep the pet’s routine as consistent as possible. I take time to understand each pet’s temperament, energy level, and needs so I can adjust my approach accordingly, whether that’s a calm drop-in visit, an active walk, or extended sitting care. During walks and potty breaks, I stay attentive to surroundings, use secure leashing at all times, and avoid risky interactions with unfamiliar animals. For drop-ins and sitting, I focus on companionship, play, feeding, and maintaining cleanliness, including litter boxes or accident cleanup as needed. My goal is always to provide calm, reliable care that keeps pets safe, comfortable, and stress-free while their owners are away.
“Sarah was excellent to work with -- communicative, friendly, and great with our girls. They are each 40lbs of energy and not the easiest to control sometimes -- but she worked with them to earn their trust and be their walk leader. Additionally, even though most of the walks were scheduled during a heat wave, zero complaints from Sarah, and she smartly knew to make the sure dogs didn't get overheated by limiting the distance and making sure they had water. Highly recommend her for anyone who is looking for a conscientious person to take care of their pets!”

“Gabby did a great job with my dog, Murphy! Murphy’s a rescue chihuahua mix who takes awhile to warm up to new people. I know it was not easy, but Gabby got him out for two walks while I had to travel out of town for the day. I really appreciated Gabby’s patience with him and it was a relief to know he was in good hands.”

“Kelsey was awesome! She communicated very well, and Tonks (our very shy Corgi) quickly opened up to Kelsey! She also considered the day's heat and adjusted her walking schedule to ensure they were shaded. Awesome service!”

“Good communication and sense of humor. Accommodated my dogs needs even if they didn’t fully align with the Rover plan. I booked a walk but my girl decided she didn’t want to and Leslie hung out with her in the yard and gave her cuddles and attention instead.”

“Lydia is great! She helped us walk Nova while we were on a trip and had my mom staying with Nova. My mom cannot handle Nova due to her reactivity to other dogs, squirrels, and cats. Normally they would just play in the back but our yard was too flooded to permit it. Lydia jumped in to help on very short notice and in the middle of some crazy weather. She was punctual and took Nova out on a different walk each morning that we needed her. She is communicative, responsible, and took good care of our spoiled princess baby. I highly recommend her!”

“Our pup had a great time with Kim and his wife! They went for a few local hikes and hung out by the pool. Communication was super easy. Happy to have Kim watch our pup again anytime.”

About: I’ve had dogs for most of my life. I grew up with 4 bigs dogs. Recently I’ve been doing walks on apps, I’ve done over 70+ services ranging from taking care of old pets to very young ones. People always set me as their preferred walker since they love that I listen to their rules and go on long walks with their dogs. For a 60 minute walk I average about 2-3 miles, depending on the dog. I’m currently a student at San Jose State University and I look forward to doing some walks or other services on the weekends when I’m back home, also I can do walks or sittings on the weekdays when I off school. I have a fenced yard, the dogs and cats are allowed in the house and my room. I will make sure to always keep a lookout and have them be where I am at.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities for 15 years. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, play with, and care for their pets while away. I’m patient, attentive, active, and genuinely love animals. I understand the importance of making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I love taking dogs on hikes and to the beach as well. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pets. I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week and on weekends. I enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors, and making sure pets get the care, attention, exercise, and companionship they need to feel happy and comfortable. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving, and attentive environment and always follow the owner’s instructions carefully regarding feeding, routines, medications, walks, and special care needs. I pay close attention to pets’ behavior and body language to ensure they feel safe, secure, and well cared for at all times.
“Ross was phenomenal! He sent me pictures and updates every few hours over the several days that my dog was with him. I could see how happy my dog was with Ross, and they had lots of fun time together. I am definitely going with Ross in the future for my dog boarding needs!”

“Lillie and her family were so kind and welcoming to my pup. She sent lots of pics while we were away and was very communicative around how he was doing. She seemed genuinely affectionate with him too so I know he was not short on receiving love. Super thankful for her care ❤️”
