About: I’m a WFH dog mom in Berkeley with decades of experience caring for small and senior pups. I specialize in 0–40 lb dogs, seniors, and dogs who need a little extra patience or medication support. I’ve cared for dogs since I was 8, starting with neighborhood pups and eventually my own dog, Silky, who was with me for 17 years. Since then I’ve had two more dogs and regularly care for friends’, family’s, and neighbors’ pets. I’m comfortable following detailed routines, giving oral medications, and reinforcing training you’re already working on. My goal is for your dog to feel like part of the family while you’re away. PS If your dog enjoys (or needs lots of) exercise, I’m happy to provide long walks or gentle runs. I'm currently working from home so have plenty of time to spend with your pups! I am available during the day on weekdays and can coordinate nights and weekends. I live in a single‑family home in San Jose with a fully fenced, pup‑proofed yard. Your dog can relax on the couch, nap in the sun, or hang out with my friendly 14‑year‑old poodle‑terrier mix. Because I work from home, dogs are rarely left alone and can go out for potty breaks every 0–2 hours. I keep a close eye on introductions and always do slow, supervised meet‑and‑greets so everyone feels safe.
“Bee is very responsive and caring. Ruby had a slightly hard first night being away from us but Bee was so caring and kind that Ruby quickly adjusted and had a great time with Soju! We will definitely be back.”

“Jenna took fantastic care of my little epileptic dog while I was gone for a week. It can be nerve wracking to leave him because his medication schedule is complicated, but she was kind and communicative and I felt so comfortable knowing he was having a fabulous time with her. Thank you Jenna!”

“Karen is great! She kept my dog Olive over the weekend recently. When Olive and I went for the meet and greet, Olive made no growling noises(which she usually does either new people), and was prancing around smiling while we were there. She sent lots of pictures and took great care of Ms Olive. Her dog Tulip was also a generous host. Don’t hesitate to book a stay or walk with Karen 🌸🐾”

“Emily was awesome with my slightly anxious rescue dog. Sent updates, very responsive, and flexible about drop off and pick up times. Much appreciate the care she gave my little doggo over the course of a weekend and always felt she was in safe hands.”

“Deborah was fantastic! She was nice enough to accommodate us same day and could not have been nicer. We could tell instantly when we arrived that she was going to take great care of our dog Otto. She took him on walks, took him to the beach, sent lots of great photos, and even bought him some pup cups! Her children were also absolutely lovely and obviously made Otto feel comfortable and welcome. Highly recommend using Deborah services! You cannot go wrong!”

“Thanks for taking great care of Pluto! I appreciated your fast responses, many photos & daily updates. Thanks for making sure Pluto had plenty of walks & was well fed!”

“Shannon was wonderful. The boys loved her. I was worried about leaving them for days, as I never had, but once we met Shannon, those fears evaporated. About: I’ve cared for a variety of pets over the past 10+ years, including my own animals and multiple repeat clients. I’m experienced with cats who love attention as well as those who prefer space and independence. I’m comfortable handling multiple pets at once and always prioritize keeping your cat safe, relaxed, and comfortable in their own routine and environment ☺️
About: I have had pets my entire life since I was a child and I absolutely adore them! I consider myself a highly sensitive person and that helps me stay attuned both to humans and pets! I have a flexible work from home job and because of that pet sitting fits smoothly with my daily and weekly routine. I can adjust as needed! I feed them on time, play with them during play hours and make sure that they feel safe and take care of. I would make sure to read the pet body language and make sure to give them enough space when they’re shy or not ready to interact!

“Cecilia checked in on our cats for a week while we were gone and kept us updated on every visit, how the cats were doing, as well as pictures of them. Everything was great when we returned to happy cats!”

“Laura did a couple drop ins to check on my kitties while I was gone! She was amazing. The best pictures, made sure they were taken care of, and I felt like my home was safe with her checking in. Definitely do not hesitate to book her!”

“Genna was amazing! She took great care of my cat Nutella. She brushed her, played with her, fed her and gave her lots of love. She offered to meet before and noted down everything on Nutella routine. Also a bird got into the apartment and Nutella killed it, and Genna took care of everything, even vacuumed. Genna was amazing, I highly recommend her”

“This is the second time Anjali has watched my two cats, and I couldn’t be happier! Even my shy cat, who usually hides from everyone, came out to spend time with her, which says a lot. She clearly cares about animals and takes the time to make them feel comfortable and loved. I always come home to happy cats and a tidy space, which I really appreciate. It gives me such peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands while I’m away. Highly recommend!”

And did some nice extra things like taking out the trash and vacuuming before she left. Would definitely recommend her!”

About: Howdy I’m Serena! I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. Growing up, I raised and looked after a variety of animals—including turtles, bunnies, and kittens—which taught me early on that every pet has their own personality, needs, and boundaries. As I got older, I became the go-to person for walking dogs and helping friends and neighbors care for their pets, gaining experience with everything from large, high-energy dogs to shy small pets and senior cats. Core Skills & Experience: -Comfortable with all sizes and temperaments (large dogs, small dogs, cats, kittens, seniors) -Kitten & puppy care, including play, supervision, and positive engagement Senior pet care with patience, gentle handling, and routine consistency -Skilled with high-energy pets and structured walks/playtime -Strong at building trust with shy or anxious animals -Cat-focused care: playful engagement + respecting boundaries and cues -Detail-oriented with feeding schedules, routines, and updates -Experience managing multiple pets at once -Basic pet CPR knowledge What sets me apart is my ability to adapt to each animal. Whether that means keeping up with an energetic dog who needs structure and exercise, or taking a slower, more gentle approach with older pets who need extra care and consistency, I focus on meeting them where they are. I especially love caring for cats. I enjoy playing with them, keeping them mentally engaged, and just as importantly, respecting their boundaries. I pay close attention to their behavior and take the time to build trust at their pace—something that’s especially important for shy or more independent cats. Above all, my goal is simple: to make your pet feel happy, secure, and cared for—like you never left. For safety and peace of mind, I also make it a strict rule to never board dogs and cats together, ensuring a calm and secure environment for every pet in my care.

“As a Rover myself, I'm discerning in choosing caregivers for my service animal, Angel. Samantha recently looked after Angel for the second time, and her care was outstanding. Her understanding and respect for the unique needs of Angel truly set her apart. Her genuine affection for animals is clear, and it's evident that Angel adores her. I highly recommend Samantha for any pet care needs due to her sense of responsibility and compassion. We definitely plan to use her services again!”

“Ellen did a fantastic job watching our pup for the weekend. She sent updates and pictures throughout and was extremely responsive. Would absolutely recommend and trust Ellen!”

“This was our first experience with Kevin and Rosa and we were nervous about our newly adopted puppy who had separation anxiety. It turns out that she had a wonderful time with Kevin and Rosa, who showered her with individual attention and she bonded with their big friendly other dog. Kevin and Rosa were responsible, kept in close touch, and we hope to work with them again.”

“We were very happy with the care our dog received. Mila was communicative, attentive to our instructions, and clearly took great care of our dog while we were away. It gave us real peace of mind knowing everything was being handled so well. We’re grateful to have found someone we can trust and would gladly book with her again.”

“Kazu was great. Our dog Charley ran off the first day and Kazu had to chase him down. But he kept working with him and Charley learned to follow along with the pack for the rest of his stay. Kazu took him for long walks every day, some of them in off-leash areas I didn’t know about. Overall we were very happy with the care he received.”

“Betty is amazing! She is an obvious dog lover and truly enjoys being around them. My oldest girl, Penny, took to her immediately during our introduction meeting and continued to love her during her stay with Betty. My little one took a bit longer to warmup but that was not for lack of trying on Betty’s part. Betty was great with updates and pictures during our trip. She listened to any concern I had without judgement. I highly recommend Betty for daycare or boarding and we will definitely use her again!”

“Our dog had an amazing time with Diana! We got frequent updates on their fun adventures from the dog parks to running around her house and helping with homework (lol), and much more! Honestly our dog has been so well behaved after spending ~6 days with Diana. Highly recommend to everyone!”
