“We planned this 2-week trip few months ago and we debated if we should send our cats to the cat hotel or find someone to take care of them. Our cats are older, one is 16 and the other one is 11. We were concern our 16-year-old female cat was sad and hard for her to adjust to the cat hotel. We decided to give it a try to find the cat sitter. We found Wendy who was the first person responded our post. Wendy is a very nice and sweet person. We exchanged a few text messages before the first “cat meeting”. My cats love her, especially my 16-year-old female cat, she came out to meet and greet her. That was unusual. 😊 So, I knew they would be in a good hand after the first meeting. About: I am athletic and like to make sure the dogs not only do their potty but I also like to run them so that they let out their energy. I have a lot of sympathy for these animals and am always looking at what they are smelling on the sidewalk, double checking to make sure the collar is not too tight and that the dog is moving at its own pace when we are on our walk! I am free from early morning to late night, every single day of the week. I moved from Boston to LA for my long distant girlfriend, and I need to make extra money so that I can live out here and be with her! I am violinist and a swimmer, meaning I am hard working and operate promptly! I wipe my dogs feet twice before they enter the house, once with a wet wipe, then with a dry wipe. I run her twice a day, and I make sure that her water is refilled everyday so that it is always fresh. We feed her fish skin, vegetables, rice and rotisserie chicken. About: I have had pets all of my life and they truly bring me so much joy. I have had dogs as pets all of my life and I understand their needs and how to give them lots of love! I have experience with puppies, small dogs, big dogs, and elder doggies. I wasn’t allowed to have cats due to my dad’s allergies, but I volunteered at CARMA cat shelter for over a year to love on kitties in need of homes, and to learn how to understand cat caretaking. I love training my parent’s dog and teaching him fun tricks (rolling over, play dead, stand up). I’ve been trusted enough to take care of my friend’s cats and dogs when they are on vacation, it brings me so much joy to be trusted with and love on good doggies and kitties. In addition to dog sitting and walking I have also fostered dogs and helped over 50 rescue dogs find there forever homes. This has given me lots of experience with simple training, younger dogs, and dogs from more stressful backgrounds. I am working part time and have a very flexible schedule. I am always available for drop dog walking or sitting. I can also work with your schedule to create something more consistent if desired. When it comes to walking I always want to take the safest and most comfortable approach for the dog. So I like to understand their favorite paths, treats, leash, etc. When staying over I generally provide a morning and evening walk with at-home playtime in between, but can always adjust to the dogs needs. I also like to stay with the dog as long as I am able so they feel comfortable. I always want to follow what the dogs needs so they feel at ease while their human families are away and like their regular routine isn't too disrupted.
