About: I Grew up with dogs and have two of my own. Boarded dogs since I was in college. Worked with different types of dogs and families! I work different jobs and mostly from home. I have two boys (12 & 10). They are well behaved and always help me with the boarding pups whenever they can The backyard is closed and fenced. I have artificial turf for pups to go potty. And the rest is concrete and river rocks. Fence on both sides to provide privacy and protection

About: No, I had already been working with cats at my job. I never had a pet. About two years ago I decided to adopt my first cat at the harbor shelter. That was an entire different experience than taking care of a dog. They’re mostly on their own, but they definitely love love and cuddles. Then a year later I was blessed with the second cat that my mom found on the street. This cat was a neonate kitten. I have never taken care of such a small kitten before, even in my own profession, the biggest cats that we see, or at least two months. This kid and was a couple of days old I managed to bottlefeed him and woke up at every meow, took him to work with me, and he survived and grow to be a phenomenal cat.

Significantly, both cats took a shine to him during our first meeting, which is rare and turned out to be a good sign! John is a cat person, and cats pick up on this immediately. It's amazing to see. John gave us constant updates, and even made extra visits. He played with the cats and watered our plants, and even gave one cat medication each day. He even sent us very artful photos of our cats! We felt so at ease being away with John caring for our cats. About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a child. We had 3 dogs, unfortunately they all passed due to old age recently. We would love having your dog as part of our family while the visit. I treat them like my own kid, lots of play, cuddle, balls and going on nice walks. Dogs have been a big part of how I describe who I am, I also rescue dogs and help them find loving forever homes. We have a huge fenced yard and leave close to a park, we love to go on walks and stay active. I currently work part-time so I have the ability to mindfully attend to your fur baby. I am also a very organized person and send updated timely with photos. I have a super large fenced large and lots of tennis balls (left overs from my dogs who passed last year). Services I offer: Drop-in visits: All sizes welcome, as long as your dog is friendly House sitting: Available for friendly pets Dog walking: Small to medium dogs preferred; larger dogs are okay for walks during evening/night hours when my baby is asleep (for everyone’s safety) Boarding: Small dogs only (apartment rules), must be friendly with babies and cats My goal is to keep everyone safe, comfortable, and happy me, my baby, and your pet 🐾💛 I live in an apartment (not fenced), so for boarding in my home, I can only accept small dogs. Your pet must be very friendly and comfortable around a toddler and cats, as I have an 18-month-old and two cats at home. My cats are used to dogs as long as the dog is respectful, and my little one is gentle, but safety for everyone is my top priority. Because I’m a stay-at-home mom during the day, pets need to be especially friendly if I’m caring for them while my child is awake. For evening/overnight services (after 8 PM), I’m able to care for pets on my own, but I still require them to be friendly and safe to handle. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Humboldt State University and also have my veterinary assistant certification. I’ve worked at CAMP LA in San Pedro for 5 years as a veterinary assistant and currently work as a relief technician on weekends while continuing my education to become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). I’ve also volunteered with Marine Mammal Care Center and have two sweet male cats of my own. About: I have loved animals my whole life what sets me apart from other is I treat any animals like it’s my own, I have empathy on how they feel and just how I want others to treat my pets with love and compassion I’ll do the same in return with my experience and love I have for our animals. About: I have been a sitter for years. It’s just something I love to do because I love animals :) Once I got a fur family of my own (Dog & Cat) I thought it would be fun to be a sitter and do something I love. About: Our pets are just an extension of our family. I grew up in a house with pets and farm animals. I was taught to treat these animals with love and respect and ensure that they had fresh water and food every day.and that they were cleaned-up after, exercised and that they were comfortable. And having their pet in their own environment is less stressful of the whole family. I ensure that a regular routine is maintained and that fresh food and water is always available. I walk and/or play with them to entertain and exercise your pet on a daily basis. I am happy to provide updates and pics while you are away. And I make sure that the poop is cleaned up, as well. I am recently retired and have lots of flexibility in my schedule so I am available to walk or provide over-night stays when needed. I care for your pet as you would care for them. I do my best to keep them safe and cared for in the environment they are used to, their own home.

About: We live in a very dog friendly and safe neighborhood. I’m experienced in taking care of special needs dogs as well as non-special needs. If your pup is on a special diet, I have no problem weighing food. As well as administer any meds. I’m currently available to play, walk and take care of your pup. I can take your pup out to go potty every 2-4 hours. Taking care of pups needs is my first priority. I do ask that your dog(s) and cat(s) be current on flea medication and their vaccinations, just to safe as we go for walks around the neighborhood and/or parks.

“This was our first overnight stay we booked for Bruce through Rover. He has never really been away from us since we brought him home at just 5 weeks old, and now at a year and 3 months old, we were understandably a little nervous.
