About: I’ve always loved animals and grew up with dogs! I have experience caring for dogs with a variety of personalities, ages, and needs. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual routine, whether that means keeping up with an energetic pup, providing extra patience and care for senior dogs, or giving a nervous dog time to feel comfortable in a new environment. I’m also comfortable with administering medications when needed and making sure every pet gets plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and, most importantly, lots of love! I work from home three days a week, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time to care for dogs throughout the day. “We have only left our dog with anyone else once, nearly a year after adopting him. It was a disaster because of his severe separation anxiety. When we met Sandi and her husband Jeff the first time, our dog was very relaxed and more friendly and affectionate than he ever is with new people. He seemed very comfortable in their home and their yard and we were relieved to have found a place that we felt comfortable trying again. During the 2 days and nights we were away, we were certain he would need to be given CBD or tranquilizers to keep him calm, but he didn't need them! He missed us but did not exhibit the behavior he had before and Sandi and Jeff said that he was happy at his chosen place in the window or on his bed in front of the fireplace, and responded to their affection. I can't say how relieved we are to have found a solution for our occasional needs to visit places where he can't come with us. Sandi made us feel confident that she could handle his anxiety, and she clearly made him feel more at ease and relaxed. About: Your dog deserves a good time. You deserve not to worry. Most of my adult life has involved figuring out how to have a full career, move around, travel, handle the occasional life curveball—and keep my dog happily built into the mix through all of it. Before Mario, there was Bruiser. He came to me with significant health issues and severe anxiety from his life before me. Early on, I had a trainer helping me simply get a collar onto a dog who wouldn’t come out from under the bed. He had essentially never been on walks. Everything was new, and trust had to be earned slowly. Eventually, Bruiser became a rockstar. He traveled throughout the Pacific Northwest with me while I built ski and snowboard retail spaces for work. He hated the snow (I couldn’t really blame him), but loved the car, loved being in the store, and became the unofficial mascot everywhere we went. The biggest thing he taught me: the dog you meet today may not be the dog you see once they feel safe. Since then, friends, coworkers, and even shelters have trusted me with their dogs. So have hotels—after years of business travel with a dog in tow, we were still welcomed back as return guests. Anyone who has traveled extensively with a pet knows that’s not a particularly low bar. I’m comfortable with puppies, seniors, big dogs, little dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs who need some extra patience. I care much more about understanding the individual dog than whatever assumptions come with their breed, size, or age. After years of being the person who relied on trusted sitters to make work, travel and life possible, I finally have the time and space to be that person for someone else. I’m returning to LA and building my next chapter here—new goals, freelance and startup work, a few side ventures, and a social life I’m happily filling back in as I go. My work has never fit particularly neatly into a 9–5 box, and right now neither does my life. I work independently, much of it from my laptop, which means I have more control over my calendar than most people working a traditional schedule. That flexibility is part of what I can offer you. I’ve spent plenty of my own life being the person whose meeting ran late, trip changed, work suddenly needed me somewhere else, or opportunity appeared with very little notice—and having a dog never made any of those logistics simpler. Right now, I can be the person who absorbs some of that unpredictability on your end. There are fewer dinner reservations I absolutely have to make at 8, fewer gym classes at 6 sharp, and more room to say, “Sure, I can make that work.” I like a life where you catch the show, take the trip, meet people along the way and let some of the story write itself. So I don't inherently mind a last-minute request. If I’m available, your dog is a fit, and the logistics make sense, ask. I still have work, plans and a life of my own—your dog is joining it, not filling an empty calendar—but at this particular moment, mine has a lot more give than the average 9–5. One limitation remains firmly outside this new era of possibility: despite everything podcast culture has promised me, I am still not a 6 a.m. person. I’m a big believer in prevention—but also in paying enough attention to react when prevention meets real life. My home has a large, fully fenced yard that Mario and I use as our outdoor living space. Over time, I’ve continued adapting it based on what I actually observe rather than assuming that because something should keep a dog contained, it always will. When Mario demonstrated that the small gap beneath a fence was apparently plenty of room to begin an unauthorized neighborhood outreach program, I added guards along the bottoms of the fencing. When gardeners or anyone else needs the garage opened, an additional folding barrier covers the temporary gaps. Gates stay secured while work is happening, and the people who regularly come onto the property know the routine: Mario gets his mandatory affection, barriers go up, dogs go in, work begins. I also have cameras covering the outdoor space as another layer—not because I expect disaster, but because I want to know when something changes. Unexpected motion at night progressively gets my attention through the house and outdoor lights and eventually my phone. Usually I’m not looking for an intruder; I want to know whether an animal entered the yard, weather shifted something, fencing moved, or a gate isn't sitting the way it should. That’s generally how I approach safety: prevent what I can, notice what changes, and react before a small problem gets the opportunity to become a big one. This is also a real home in a real LA neighborhood, not a sealed dog-care facility. Guests staying in a separate studio cross the courtyard when coming and going. My neighbors and I have long maintained fencing and boundaries so their small dog stays on their side and ours stay here. Neighborhood cats occasionally hop fences on their way home. Dogs bark. Deliveries happen. Wildlife exists. Life occasionally ignores the plan. So while I take managing the environment seriously, I also need dogs staying here to encounter normal surprises without becoming dangerous. That doesn’t mean perfectly trained, never anxious, or friends with every creature they meet. A dog who needs redirection, space, patience or thoughtful introductions can be completely workable. Aggression is different. I cannot host a dog whose response to an unexpected dog, cat, person or ordinary neighborhood stimulus could reasonably be to attack. Once you leave your dog with me, managing everything I reasonably can becomes my responsibility—and I take that part seriously.

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have experience caring for both small and large breeds. I grew up with dogs, have owned my own, and can’t wait to welcome another furry friend into my life soon. Before pursuing acting full-time, I successfully balanced a traditional daytime job alongside auditions and bookings, so I’m very organized and dependable. I live in a spacious apartment in a safe, dog-friendly neighborhood right next to the Whitsett Soccer Field, making it a great area for walks and outdoor time. About: Pet care is built into my daily routine. I work from home and my cats and I are pretty much attached at the hip. Their feeding schedule is four times a day, so my day naturally includes consistent check-ins, meals, playtime, and care. I focus on making cats feel safe, calm, and as low, stress as possible, especially when their routine is disrupted. I follow their lead and give them space to adjust at their own pace. Patience is key; I never force interaction and instead build trust through consistency, gentle care, and respecting their boundaries.
About: My family had dogs (including very large breeds like Shepherds and Corso) even before I was born, and because of that I spent every second of my life around dogs and animals in general. After moving to LA I don't get enough free time to have my own pup so I try my best to work with dogs every day and help other people care for their pets. I have also completed American Red Cross course in Cat and Dog First Aid I work in commercial photo/video production, so it's really different from one gig to another. I'm also doing my apprenticeship in a dog training. Whenever I have a chance to spend my time working with animals, I take it. I also work every other Saturday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, so on my Saturdays off I have much more flexibility throughout the day. Sundays are also a great day for me to provide pet care. I’m dependable about scheduling and will always make sure I only accept bookings that I can give the proper time and attention to. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their normal routine consistent so they feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. I carefully follow all instructions for feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications, playtime, and any special needs your pet may have. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment while also respecting their personality and boundaries. I keep their space clean, make sure they always have fresh water, and pay close attention to any changes in their behavior or well-being. About: I’ve had the pleasure of caring for 2 dogs, Max & Layla that were unwanted and abandoned, both lived long and happy lives under my care, reaching ages 16 & 13. Sadly Max passed away in June of 2017 and Layla passed away in September of 2024 I’m based in North Hollywood and available most afternoons and evenings. I currently work in the health and fitness industry, typically from 5:30am - 1:30pm. About: Animals have been apart of my life from a very young age and I’m constantly looking for ways to make their lives more playful and fun. Over the years I’ve gained experience caring for senior dogs as I have had several family pets who needed treatment towards end of life. In addition I have also had two dwarf rabbits who were my entire world and required a completely different diet, grooming, and living space which gave me more knowledge on how to better care for pets. I’m currently working full time inside a school district and will be starting a masters program in the fall. Currently I can do house sitting primarily on the weekends and daily drop ins/walks after 4pm on weekdays. When at a client’s home I will always make sure that doors are securely closed and/or locked to ensure pups will remain safely inside. When on a walk I make sure to notice body language and if it seems to be a stressful situation/route I will take them a different way to provide extra safety. Depending on personality of the dog when house sitting I always keep it at a noise volume that they are use to, and when afraid of loud noises I like to follow your care instructions clearly as to not interfere with their normal routine.
About: Hi there! I signed up for Rover for a little extra cash and to get my fix of spending time with animals! I have been an animal enthusiast and pet lover all my life. I enjoy dogs of all ages but seniors hold a very special place in my heart. My dog passed a few years ago and being with him from puppy to senior was such a blessing to have known such a special dog. I often take care of my friends's/sibling's dogs and cats too. Patience and kindness are what they deserve! I have extensive experience with cats as well, particularly with administering medicine or specific health care needs. In my free time, I also do volunteer work to take care of horses. I have experience in horse, tortoise and saltwater fish care. I am more than happy to care for any creature! I make sure to pay close attention to detail on care instructions to make sure I am caring for the pet the best as I can. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since i was a little girl and have taken care of different sizes and breeds of dogs and cats. The longest i’ve taken care of a furry friend for is about a month and a half until the owner came back from vacation. I currently work part time and go to school so my schedule shifts a bit but i am looking for regular pets to care for and see! I have 2 of my own furry friends! About: For House Sitting- it's an honor to be privileged with that kind of trust of your lived one and things. Id defend both with my life. Can totes give baths for extra! Hell, Id even do your dishes lol Drop-Ins- who doesn't love a play date to let them know they havent been abandoned lol It's proven they have no sense of time, but built up habits make for happy babies! Play, feeds, walks (if needed) and allllll the cuddles and pets. Walks- great for theirs and mine mental and physical health. Able to stay attentive and in control, even with the temptiest of mail persons or squirrels that'd cross our path! Animals appreciate and sense true vulnerability, it leads to belly rubs! Win win! My schedule is completely open, as I was recently laid off. Just give me as much time as possible for a heads up for any bookings or requested changes. About: I'm a lifelong animal lover who grew up with a small menagerie of pets. I also took care of my neighbors' dogs when they traveled. When I was 13, I started volunteering at my local animal shelter, where I learned how to handle cats and dogs with different levels of socialization. As an adult, I adopted a dog with severe separation anxiety and later managed his other health issues as a senior. I also rescued a feral kitten from the street and then foster failed with another kitten. So if your pet is a rescue and/or nervous around strangers, I will be sure to treat them with extra patience and care. I have a fairly flexible schedule at the moment, so I'm available for both one-time and recurring care for your pets. I would love to make their care part of my routine! It is important that your pet feels safe and like their routine is minimally interrupted while in my care. “We have only left our dog with anyone else once, nearly a year after adopting him. It was a disaster because of his severe separation anxiety. When we met Sandi and her husband Jeff the first time, our dog was very relaxed and more friendly and affectionate than he ever is with new people. He seemed very comfortable in their home and their yard and we were relieved to have found a place that we felt comfortable trying again. During the 2 days and nights we were away, we were certain he would need to be given CBD or tranquilizers to keep him calm, but he didn't need them! He missed us but did not exhibit the behavior he had before and Sandi and Jeff said that he was happy at his chosen place in the window or on his bed in front of the fireplace, and responded to their affection. I can't say how relieved we are to have found a solution for our occasional needs to visit places where he can't come with us. Sandi made us feel confident that she could handle his anxiety, and she clearly made him feel more at ease and relaxed. I loved the photos she sent, updating us several times over the couple of days we were gone, and we will definitely call again the next time we leave town. What a relief!”
