“Alina was so wonderful. Our regular dogsitter had to cancel on us last minute. Alina came to the rescue and watched our dog for a 4 night stay. We were nervous to leave our senior dog (who has some special needs) with a brand new person. Usually we book an initial one-night stay with a sitter before doing anything more than 24 hours. It turns out we had nothing to be worried about. Alina checked in with us regularly and had very accurate descriptions of how our dog Bedu was settling in. By the end of her stay Bedu was in love. We brought home a very happy pup who was so well looked after, I can happily say she also had a little vacation herself. Alina’s residence is right next door to Petco, which was very convenient for us as we had forgotten to pack some supplies and stopped there on the way.”

About: I grew up mostly with dogs until my twenties. I found a small kitten in my yard. Three Cats later I was a Cat Mom. A Foster Mom helped me to learn how to bottle feed and care for kittens. I fell in love. I’ve learned to administer medications as well. Most of my experience comes from my own cats, and sitting for friends.

“This review is kinda late because it took me a little longer than expected to get settled back in post-vacation, but I'm finally able to sit down and get it done today! This might be a little lenghtly so don't say I didn't warned you. I have have a 7 month old kitten named Ooffies that I've had ever since he was 1 day old (he was abandoned by his mommy and needed lots of attention) so it's safe to say that I have a very close bond with him and he's my actual baby! We don't usually take trips because we hate leaving my pets behind (I have 2 dogs as well) but we made an exception this Thanksgiving only because we were able to bring our pups along on the trip, but we were still faced with a huge issue, how were we going to find a trustworthy person to watch Ooffies?! Well, we stumbled upon Samantha and to be honest it was the best thing we ever did! We were VERY skeptical at first because we never used Rover before, plus the thought of a stranger in our home just didn't sit well with us at all, but all of that changed when we finally met Samantha in person. Samantha is such a kind individual, she made us feel so comfortable and at ease about taking our trip and booking the pros of booking with rover. If you've ever met her in person, you can tell that she is a very genuine person! Ooffies isn't that socialized, but for some reason he was so comfortable with her from day 1, which made us feel very relieved. I can go on, and on, about how great Samantha is but I don't want to make this review longer than it already is. Long story short, Samantha did an excellent job at checking in with Ooffies everyday! She fed him his special dinner, and provided us with great pictures and a daily report card (which we looked forward to reading/viewing everyday of our trip) and the best part about booking with her was when we returned Ooffies was A MILLION TIMES more affectionate, which seriously shocked us because he's a very independent kitty, and doesn't like to be smothered at all, but when we returned he was like a little magnet! I have no idea what miracles took place while we were gone but hey, I'm not complaining! Overall, Samantha made a huge impact on our little home, and we were grateful to have her watch Ooffies while were were gone. We will most definitely be booking with her again, and I'm happy that we will be able to take more trips without feeling guilty about leaving our pets behind, because we know they will be in great hands with her, thank you so much Samantha!”

The longest i’ve taken care of a furry friend for is about a month and a half until the owner came back from vacation. About: Animals have been apart of my life from a very young age and I’m constantly looking for ways to make their lives more playful and fun. Over the years I’ve gained experience caring for senior dogs as I have had several family pets who needed treatment towards end of life. In addition I have also had two dwarf rabbits who were my entire world and required a completely different diet, grooming, and living space which gave me more knowledge on how to better care for pets. When on a walk I make sure to notice body language and if it seems to be a stressful situation/route I will take them a different way to provide extra safety. Depending on personality of the dog when house sitting I always keep it at a noise volume that they are use to, and when afraid of loud noises I like to follow your care instructions clearly as to not interfere with their normal routine.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since my family got our first dog in 1997. A bichon/poodle mix named Snowy who quickly became the love of my life. Since then, my family adopted multiple dogs! Since moving out to Los Angeles, I’ve watched dogs professionally and recreationally. I currently work in the entertainment field and my schedule is extremely flexible. I’m available during day time hours as well as overnights. If I do leave the house, it’s typically for no more than 2-3 hours. I always make sure to leave your home exactly how I found it. About: I have had 3 years of experience pet sitting in New York City and recently moved to the LA area with my 4 year old mini goldendoodle! We are looking to take care of some new friends here on the West Coast. I also have 2 dog loving roommates that are excited to have more pups running around :) I am currently working from home so I have full availability. I am a dancer that trains in the evenings typically but I have 2 roommates so there is almost always someone home. I am a very active person and am new to the gorgeous LA weather so I am always down for a nice long walk. We take our time and I let the dogs really sniff. I also have a very active 4 year old mini goldendoodle that loves to play, has a great demeanor, and is well socialized. I let dogs on the couch so they will always be nice and cozy at my place!

About: I grew up raising animals (big and small) in Texas and when I moved to LA for work, I started to take care of animals for friends and colleagues. If I can give a pet owner peace of mind their fur baby will be taken care of, plus have the joy and being with that animal, that’s a win-win I work from home as a freelance creative and have plenty of time and energy to care for animals. I’m very used to every client having different needs, there’s no “one size fits all” approach. I live in the first floor of an apartment with a community yard and I have a patio with grass for quick potty breaks. I enjoy Long walks in my Valley Village neighborhood which is very safe, and I love walking dogs multiple times a day if needed
