For the past 16 years, I’ve raised my own pups and for more than 13 years, I’ve fostered and volunteered at various animal shelters in Los Angeles and New York. I also have a lot of experience with pets who need regular medication. I work at home with a flexible schedule. I have the ability to take care of your pet whether it's for a few hours, a day, or more! I have a very friendly dog and cat. I have a gated house with an outdoor area but no grass or dirt. If boarding at mine, the pet will need to be friendly with my own pets.

About: A little about me, before the pandemic I walked dogs daily for 3 years for a local dog walking company as a side hustle to acting. The past 6 years I have housesat dogs, boarded dogs, and fed & cared for cats. I am joining Rover to expand back to walking dogs, and to continue feeding cats, boarding and dog sitting. About: I have always loved animals. I grew up with labs in my home and a cat. I had my first pet care job when I was 6 and I would go to my next door neighbor’s to feed and check on their dog and cat since they were frequently out of town. I began dog walking at the age of 12. I have 2 dogs now, a 6 year old puggle and a 1 year old terrier/brussels mix. They love other dogs and are good with cats and would love another playmate. Jack and Rocco would also be happy to just share space in their home. I have cared for them as well as my brothers boxer mix since puppyhood and have experience with walking ,medication administration, bathing, feeding/special diets. I have fostered 2 kittens recently and am comfortable spending time with them as well. I also have 2 turtles and have cared for other types of reptiles. I am currently home full time so I have plenty of time to dedicate to caring for and hanging out with pets. Animals are really what I love and I like being able to put the love into caring for them that I feel from their presence. I live in an apartment with a large patio that my dog loves to spend time on for play and relaxation and also have a section for bathroom use if needed, but they are also taken for walks 3-4 times per day. My little dog sleeps in a kennel, there’s an extra large kennel for another dog or doggie siblings to stay. We love to play in our spacious open front room and soak up sun in our private outdoor area. I live close to Silverlake dog park which I frequent and am happy to take other pets along with my little dog. I can care for cats, dogs, fish, reptiles, rabbits, etc. in my home. I will ask for clear instructions so that the separation is as easy as possible for the pet and owner. I will always make sure that the pet knowing someone is there for them is the highest priority and that individual preferences of animals and owners are valued.

She set up a meet and greet to ensure our dogs were a good match and gave me a tour of the space. She took great care of my dog even when he was scared by the 4th of July fireworks. On top of that she was willing to keep him for a bit extra when I ran into car troubles on my way back from my trip. About: I have worked at a dog daycare, pet rescue, and have a lifetime of owning pets including dogs, cats, and rats. I love hiking and running and can care for high energy dogs, as well as making sure senior pets are pampered. I am a very early riser, so have time in the mornings for walks, runs, and hikes. I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of time for pets. I am available nights and weekends. I have a gated courtyard and patio, a very friendly small black lab mix, and a medium sized dog crate in my home. I can help with positive reinforcement training for dogs, and administer medications for both dogs and cats.
“There is no better feeling than coming back from a trip to find that your dog wants to stay and play some more - though it was sad to find out i was so easily replaced! Of course he was happy to see us but then pretty much went back to playing with the other dogs and then ran back over to Margaret to visit her. This was my experience when i came to pick up Snickers and this is definitely not always the case when i have had him stay elsewhere. Also, from what i can tell he seemed to have eaten all the food we had alloted and didn't seem especially hungry once we got home. All that to say that it points to him having a great and stress-free time. He was just tuckered out from playing so much :) This was our first stay with Margaret and I found her to be very responsive and clear in all our communications. Ours was a last minute request where we needed to go out of town for long weekend to finish up our move to LA. When our return trip got delayed, she accomodated a request to delay our pickup until the next day. She really removed all the stress of boarding our little pup . One the the perks of boarding with Margaret was the cast of playful dogs you might find in her shaded backyard/play area. She seems thoughtful in assessing how the various dogs will get along and has plans in place should any dogs need to be in separate areas. Mr. Snickers hasn't had a lot of opportunity to socialize with dogs since we moved so this was a real boon for us. Last point to add is that she regularly sent us updates with pix and videos so we had a sense of how it was going each day. In short, she does her best to make a home away from home for the dogs she cares for and I'd highly recommend her.”
