About: I grew up with a boxer/beagle mix and from a young age I learned to take of my dog. My parents won’t let me have a dog now so I will give all my attention to any dog I care for! I’m a college student so I would be mainly home for breaks. But I do come home pretty often and I don’t have classes on Fridays now. I ensure to care and do what is best for the pets. My journey started in 2010 with my first rescue, Cheeto, who was with me for nearly 16 wonderful years. About: We have lots of experience in raising and loving dogs for over 40 years with the ability to care for any age or size. We've had dogs all our married life and our most recent dog, Reba is looking for some friends to play with. We're able to cater to your dogs special diets, continue to implement your training techniques and provide that loving home while you are away. As a retired husband and wife duo our schedules are quite flexible and we spend most of our time at home with our dog Reba. Drop off anytime between 7 AM - 8 PM (please inquire for drop off outside these times for availability). A doggie door provides easy access to our fully fenced in backyard with plenty of grass, a lovely patio and lots of shade to create the perfect space for your dog to lounge outside. Inside the home we're able to provide a safe space to eat and a cozy environment where dogs can lounge on the couches and escape the heat. While we don't allow dogs in our bed you're more then welcome to bring their favorite bed/blanket and we'll provide a quiet space for them to dream away. Our grandchildren visit often (ages 10 +) so kid friendly dogs are a must.
“Mel is an excellent dog sitter! We booked our first day care before my dog, Lucifur, was diagnosed with some limiting orthopedic issues that will soon require surgery. That means he now has to have his movement someone restricted to protect him from injury. When I gave Mel this update and asked if he would still be able to care for Lucifur, he was enthusiastic to watch him. In fact, when I arrived on the first day, Mel had thoughtfully set up a secure area for Lucifur to relax in AND had a plan to keep our dogs separated so Lucifur wouldn't get over excited and run/jump around. Mel was really thoughtful in ensuring that Lucifur had an environment that was safe and he put me at ease. Lucifur enjoys hanging out with Mel and Roxy and I feel confident that he's in great hands. Zefram absolutely enjoyed his time with her and her dog Kona. She sent me many pictures as she took Zefram on regular walks. She kept telling me how Zefram is such a "sweet boy"! “Josephine was wonderful with my sometimes feral kitty. It was my first time leaving her and so nervous about how my kitty would react. I was so nervous I forgot a lots of things so i had to send her many things later on, but she was very kind and patient with my panic mode and reassured me that She will take care of my wild one. My kitty has food issues and trauma from being a stray. She fed her 4 times a day to special food to reassure her. Handled her so well, my kitty was happy and calm, i hope. Josephine did not complain about anything and went out of her way to make sure my kitty was comfortable. And also this was a short notice boarding and she accept it kindly.Thank you so much .”
