“Ana and Mitchell were incredibly caring with Sophie. I needed a last-minute sitter for Sophie, who isn’t used to being home alone yet at 5 months, and they were amazing. What I love about them is that someone is always home and they only take one dog at a time. They were quick to schedule a meet-and-greet and were very welcoming. Sophie got to meet their dog, Ellie, and they got along instantly. Ana and Mitchell were flexible, accommodating, and asked thoughtful questions to make sure Sophie’s needs were met. We set up a short doggy date for a couple of hours, and it went perfectly- Sophie didn’t even notice we had left! Since leaving Sophie is new for us, we appreciated the frequent updates and their respect for her schedule. She came home happy and content, and it was clear she had a great time. Sophie will definitely be back soon. We even forgot a couple of things at their house and stopped by later, and Sophie was eager to go back inside to Ana and Mitchell’s home- showing just how comfortable she feels there.”

But he is nearly 16 years old, and we did not want the chaos of tons of dogs at a boarding place. Now I can't believe we ever used those instead of this service. Jasmine was great! She let us do a little drop-in a few days prior to our leaving, so I could see her place and Oliver could meet her. She took notes on his needs, with him being older. She sent pictures every day that we were gone, with a an update on their activities and how he was getting along. It really put our mind at ease. When we picked him up he had made friends with another dog and had clearly been very well taken care of. Again, with an older dog, you hope the care taker knows how to handle it. Jasmine did a great job....way better than what would have been the case at a boarding place. The best recommendation is that we would definitely use her again.”

About: I have been an animal lover since I was a little kid, I have grown up with cats and dogs my entire life. I have a 6 year old goldador who is the best boy. We love to go on walks, go hiking, go to the beach, or go to the park. Haven’t been active as a sitter in Rover for awhile, but excited to get back into it. I currently work mostly from home, with a day or two at the office once a week to every other week. We go out 3-5 times a day with a morning walk, afternoon walk or quick potty break and long evening walk or go to the park. On the days I need to go to the office, your dog would need to be able to be ok at home anywhere from 3-6 hours. In my home with my dog, your dog will be taken care of like my own. Spoiled for sure with plenty of love and activity.

She has a nice big gated yard with plenty or grass and sunbathing space, and she made sure I brought my doggo some toys and a blanket and feeding instructions to make sure Luna could adjust as it was her first time in a doggy daycare setting. My yard is enclosed with a lawn, so plenty of space for play. I do NOT have a doggy door and dogs are allowed outside only with supervision. Dogs will not be left outside if/when no one is home. Also, bully sticks and other similar chews are NOT given to my own dogs without supervision due to the possibility of a choking hazard. Chews are not kept out in my home, and only given as special treats for a short amount of time. However, I do provide licky mats with yogurt and banana and peanut butter for a fun treat for in-come care.
About: I’ve taken care of and walked dogs of all kinds since I was 10. I grew up with a miniature Doberman and have fostered a lab, as well as volunteered at my local animal shelter walking and interacting with all sorts of different breeds and demeanors! I also have experience caring for older dogs who may have extra needs and have learn a good deal about training. I am current looking for a job for the summer, since I have time off from graduate school, and have all the time available during the week to walk or take care of your pet. About: I've had my own dogs and cats for most of my life ranging from easy going to skittish and temperamental. I've been a go to pet carer for family, friends, and for hire since I was a teenager. I have experience with pets with complex dietary needs, medication regiments, very shy animals who don't deal well with being apart from their families, and high energy critters who need lots of stimulation. I treat them all with the patience and kindness they deserve while they are apart from their owners. I'm not living with a pet for the first time in a long time and miss I am working part time, which leaves me very flexible to care for your pets on your schedule as needed for drop in care or longer stays with your pet in their own home including nights, weekends, and overnights. I have a spacious hatchback that I can use to transport your pets. I cannot care for pets in my own home due to a highly allergic roommate, but I can fetch pets and take them wherever they need to be.

About: I’ve had my first pet since I was 8 and I’ve loved animals ever since I could remember. I had my first dog walking job in my early 20s when I was in college and my first dog bestfriend was a Shiba Inu. I literally loved him like he was my own. I took him everywhere and anywhere that I went. I helped raised and trained him since he was 6 months old up until he was 7. Unfortunately, our journey had to come into an end when I had to move states for my first career out of college. Now that I’m back home in Cali, I’ve been yearning for another dog best friend or few. Sadly, where I currently live doesn’t allow for dogs on the premises so I’d be happy to go wherever to take care of your furry loved one! My experience includes basic obedience skills such as training and leash manners. **I am also extremely protective of your animals so I won’t take them where I know they could potentially be in danger or in harm.** *I am very communicative and will send pics when you’re away! I am available on the weekends, evenings, and holidays! I am sometimes free during mid afternoons. I am also available to board if when it is requested. I like to make sure that I am in constant communication with every pet’s owners. My preference is that I am provided with a list of do’s and don’ts. Otherwise I like to maintain a clean environment and make sure all animals are fed based on the schedule and amount that the owner provides. I like to be in constant observance of all animal’s habits in case for any changes of health or behaviors and I make sure to maintain a healthy amount of affection based on each animal’s needs.
About: I have experience caring for all kinds of pets. I am able to provide care for all different ages, a good variety of breeds I am even able to care for dogs with various health concerns/medical needs. (Blind, allergies, deaf, post surgery, anxiety, etc.) I am very big on positive affirmations and reenforcing good behavior. I love training dogs! I think it can be a lot of fun. (Right now, I’m teaching sign language to both of my dogs. Our oldest is now deaf and has separation anxiety, so we’re working on basic commands.) I work in the mornings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and, Thursdays. Typically, my lessons run from 9-12. I teach swim lessons all year and set my own schedule. I have a fenced in back yard, that is big enough for the dogs to run around and play! We’re always outside during the warmer months. As long as they have a bowl of cold water, my dogs will stay outside until they choose to come in. In my home, there is a basement. It’s not very big, but it is a nice spot to retreat to. It’s a good space to relax in as there is little outside noise that gets in. (Our laundry room is in the basement. If we run the washer or the dryer during the 4th of July, you cant even hear the fireworks going off. This is a plus, for living with dogs).

Usually my neighbors will feed my cats while I’m on trips, but one of my cats crossed the rainbow bridge recently, and it gave me such peace of mind that Meru was not alone and had ample sweet and caring company with Yuhong and her husband.
