About: Hi! My name is Victoria, and I’m 27 years old. I work a hybrid remote schedule, so I’m home most of the time with my three-year-old Husky, Thorfinn. I grew up around dog rescue and was used to having 8–10 dogs in the house at a time. That experience taught me how to care for dogs with all kinds of personalities — including the stubborn, sassy, energetic, teething, and occasionally mischievous ones! I’m comfortable with dogs who need patience, consistency, and a little extra attention. My rescue experience has also given me hands-on experience with dogs who need additional care. I’ve helped care for a Rottweiler recovering from a serious hip injury, including assisting her with mobility, medications, and getting around in a wheelchair. I’ve also administered eye drops and other medications and have experience caring for dogs who may not be thrilled about their treatments. 😊 I’ve also transported rescue dogs to foster and forever homes throughout California, which gave me the opportunity to work with shelters, rescue organizations, and fosters across the state. Dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds, and personalities are welcome! I’m pretty active, so if your dog loves hiking, swimming, running, playing outside, or going on adventures, I’d be happy to keep them moving and entertained. “We came into town from the Bay Area and wanted to do some whitewater rafting that wouldn’t allow dogs. Sara was kind of enough to watch our 12 pound shih tzu. Sara asked for his vaccinations records to make sure no dog would get sick, which was very reassuring to us. We felt very comfortable leaving him there and believe he had a lot of fun at her place playing with the other dogs. Sara checked in multiple times with updates and pictures and was very accommodating when we asked to pick him up an hour later than originally discussed. If we come to the area again and need a dog sitter, we won’t hesitate to reach out to Sara. We highly recommend her!”

About: I have loved animals my whole life and have had many pets; dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits, sheep and more. I thoroughly enjoy being with animals, loving and caring for them. Some of my first jobs were at animal clinics, where I learned a lot about caring for animals. I was in FFA as a youth, where I raised and showed sheep, and where I also learned a lot. About: I have been a full-time puppy whelper for the past 8 years and come highly recommended with lots of references. I welcome all different breeds. I am always home. While I do have to pick up and drop off my children for their various sports and activities, it’s just a five minute drive away.I am always available. Plus, I’m attending school online from the comfort of my home. I live on 1 1/2 acres with a mini horse, two small goats that like to visit the neighbors and two potbelly pigs. Additionally I have two older French bulldogs who are house trained and very friendly, as well as two cane corsos who get along well with all animals including pony,goats, and pigs- they’re all pals! All of my animals are well-behaved , and I’ve often been told I should’ve been a vet or a dog trainer because of my love for animals. I have two separate backyards-one for the smaller dogs and one for the bigger ones. However I’m accustomed to rotating them due to my experience as a whelper. I know how to manage introducing new dogs and keeping them separate if needed.My dogs have access to indoors and outdoors, and they sleep in the house at night. I’ve set up set up my garage to be cozy and welcoming for dogs to stay in at night.

“Amanda was very gracious towards our very naughty puppy. Apparently, some of the nervous behaviors that we don’t see at home came out with an unholy flourish at Amanda‘s home. But I appreciate the fact that Amanda gave us a full and honest report (which is helpful for us to gauge the areas he still needs significant training) and was very kind about the negatives. The most important thing, though, was that he settled down in the car almost immediately. Our dog is a very nervous dog, so if he has had a rough time at a dog sitter, we know right away because he whines and whimpers all the way home. After leaving Amanda‘s house, he winded for about 60 seconds and then went to sleep. Hallelujah! Thank you, Amanda, for the top quality care you have given to our very low quality puppy. I am especially grateful that Amanda was willing to take the puppy at the last minute, because my husband had a hospital procedure and I had completely forgotten about making arrangements for the dog. About: I have cared for and loved animals since I was a little girl. I was raised in a house with dogs of all types and have continued to have them in my life. I have two rescues, a 6-lb sweet female chihuahua and a 30-lb shy male terrier mix, that love to be around other dogs but who also are submissive to and respect other dogs’ needs for their own space. Having been a zookeeper and vet tech, I have worked on training various critters, as well as cared for elderly animals that need special attention or medications. I work from home with my husband full time and we are always ready for fur baby snuggles on our couch and bed. We also live near a canal and trails, so dog walks are very frequent in our home. Because we live farther away, we are also willing to come do pickups to keep you from having to drive to us, but we understand completely wanting to see where your pups are staying. I work from home nearly full time except Tuesdays, but my husband is home full time everyday. I am an early riser and can do early walks/pickup/potty breaks. As we are working on house projects due to this being a new and first home purchase, we are home a ton on the weekends too. If I am staying at your home, I can arrange to be there constantly because my husband is home to care for my pups. I don’t have a fenced yard, but live very close to a dog park that is fenced. I also have a canal trail right off my driveway and we walk our two dogs on it all the time. My two babies are extremely sweet and friendly with other dogs. I am an extremely tidy and organized person, so whether your pup stays with me or I come to your home, I can guarantee I will always leave things as good or better than I found them. Also, if you have any last-minute travel issues, I can almost always adapt to host longer to make sure you don’t have to stress about what will happen to your pup.

About: Served as a volunteer and foster parent for many rescued animals in Bali during the pandemic. My experience with animals is vast. Ive grown up with many different kinds of pets. Cats. Dogs. Birds. Reptiles. Rodents. Chickens. ducks. Donkeys. Horses. Pigs. Goats. You name it. I love all animals. I was raised in the foothills in the redwood forest. I’m a very down to earth and healthy lifestyle human who just loves fur babies of all types. I’m attentive and loving and playful with animals. I really need it as much as they do. I work early in the mornings off around 9am and then have most of the day to myself. It’s nice to have an excuse to take a dog on a walk or to lounge around with some kitty cuddles. Having animals in my home makes it feel more like a home. In my own home I will be in close proximity at all times and I will be home the entire time so I can sense when potty breaks or walks are needed. I really enjoy taking walks myself so it’s a perfect fit to have dogs over. Cats are similar with the exception of walks unless you want to leash train them or already have. I love to keep an eye on them so they don’t hurt themselves and I give lots of play time.
About: I have worked for boarding facilities before, one that had no kennels and one that did. I have had lots of experience taking care of dogs and cats, giving oral medications, and watching them during the day to day. I love animals and always think of them as a part of your family. I am available everyday except for Tuesday's and Thursday's. As long as I have two days notice I have no issue doing check-ins, walks, or watching your furry friends with whatever schedule works best! Due to my previous experience with boarding facilities, I am well trained to follow instructions left by owners. Whatever schedule my clients have I will adapt to and perform, so that their pet won’t get confused or distressed by the change in schedule. I’m available for boardings Thursday through Sunday, and during the week I can easily fit in walks and drop-in visits. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, a longer cuddle session, or a good outdoor adventure, I can make it work. About: I've had a love and passion for animals since I was a child. I adopted my first pet in 2014. A beautiful female Queensland Heeler and American Pitbull mix named Sadie. She has been my service animal for over 5 years. I began my pet care career as a pet shelter assistant. A few years later, I became a Grooming Salon Assistant and have been grooming every since. I have knowledge of most breeds and am comfortable working with any sized dog, any temperament. I have also worked as a Kennel Assistant in a Veterinary office. I learned the in and outs of boarding, administering medications, and making sure all pets get adequate care. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your pet(s)! I'm currently working part time but need extra money as I don't have enough hours. I have a fairly flexible schedule and can work out overnight stays. While caring for pets, I greet them and make sure they're comfortable with me. I like to offer treats and take the time to have them trust in me. I ensure all food bowls and water bowls are filled. I take them out for potty and walks every 2-4 hours. I ensure they get adequate play time, whether inside or outside. About: Hello! I’ve been loving and caring for local pets for around 25 yrs. Some pets were young pups and kittens; some were older seniors. I specialize in petsitting at my clients homes. My longest pet sitting job was 3.5 weeks while the owners were in Italy. I have many referrals. I’ve taken care of miniature horses, Friesian horses, and a pig. (We have a lot of rural homes in Auburn area). I’m retired from a construction accounting job. We’re gladly at home most days! My shedule is flexible; if you have an emergency need for pet sitting, I’m your gal. I prefer to petsit at my client’s homes. The animals rather appreciate this. I like to meet the animal(s) before sitting so when I arrive, we have a connection. I give the animals plenty of one-on-one attention. This may include doggy massage to calm them and get to know them. Lots of walks if they like that. Potty Breaks every couple of hours to begin with, as they’re sometimes nervous or have stomach upsets. I’d like to know your favorite names for them, what your routines are, rituals, their favorite things to do. I’ve also stayed with animals after their surgeries to monitor when the owner has to work.

“Sara's is the perfect place for our dog, Maggie. There's lots of open space and fresh air, a lovely pond and a great covered patio where she can be outdoors and supervised. We previously had experience with a dog sitter who took in a large number of dogs at the same time as Maggie, and Maggie reacted negatively to that situation. We sincerely appreciate the fact that Sara is willing to limit Maggie's visit to just Maggie and Sara's own sweet dog. Maggie gets lots of walks, lots of love and attention, and comes home happy.
