She provided regular updates and photos of Teddy having a great time with all his friends, Brandi dropped off and picked up for us which was so helpful during our wedding weekend. “They've done it again! My little Miss Lemon was so happy when I picked her up, she went right by me. This was her second stay. I wish I could put into words, the difference in her. She's a timid rescue girl. It's just me and her at home. The interacting with other dogs and people has changed her so much. She's my baby and I've never left her. When she's there Lauren sends pictures and updates which is so comforting. I can see the happiness. She thrives there! I'm going to do my best to give her "sleep-overs" for a couple days a month. About: My name is Nicole. I have been an animal lover since I was old enough to know what animals were. Between catching potato bugs, feeding the spiders in my windowsills, and moving worms off of sidewalks, I’ve always had a particular connection with the animals that most people don’t understand. As soon as I was old enough, I marched off to the Sonoma County Animal Services to volunteer. From there, it was love at first bark. When I turned 18, I immediately went to animal care as my first real job and was lucky enough to work at Rohnert Park Animal Services for several years. I opened my home to many different rescue critters including snakes, tortoises, rats, lizards, and birds. I rescued my first dog and she is still my best friend to this day 10 years later! Over the years, I was blessed to foster many different exotic animals and worked with the Sacramento SPCA through the pandemic. Shortly after, I made a huge cross-country move and ended up in Louisiana working with all kinds of critters at Northshore Humane Society. From there, I ended up back in my hometown of Sonoma County. Throughout all of these changes, the one variable that never changed was my love for animals and passion for making sure they were safe. Through my 8+ years of shelter experience I have worked with the most feral of feral cats, wildlife brought in shoeboxes, all sizes and shapes of dogs, and so much more. I have met and befriended many pets that were reluctant to be befriended and worked with virtually every breed of cat and dog on the planet. I am fear-free certified and have extensive experience with medication management, basic first-aid, canine CPR, and basic training for both dogs and cats. I am experienced with walking large breeds including reactive dogs and can handle heavy pullers (I have TWO huskies!). I have also volunteered with the Bird Rescue Center of Sonoma County and have a special skillset with exotic animals. My two personal rescue dogs are half husky and bully breed which are two of the most misunderstood dog breeds, so there will be no breed discrimination from me. My favorite furry friends are often shy, tricky to befriend, or nervous. Making a scared baby comfortable means the world to me and I love the challenge. As stated above, I also have extensive experience caring for exotic pets including rats, mice, birds, snakes, tortoises, turtles, fish, lizards, invertebrates, and spiders. I am perfectly comfortable with your exotic pet’s diet and am familiar with feeding snakes and other reptiles frozen-thawed rodents. The only animals I won’t consider petsitting for are species that are illegal to own or venomous. We don’t expect perfection from humans, but we so frequently expect it of animals. Because no pet is perfect, but they are perfect for you. My promise to you is that I will do my best to be your baby’s new BFF. I work from home as an administrative assistant for my husband's guitar studio, so I have a flexible schedule to meet your specific needs. I have access to a reliable car and am happy to do multiple drop-ins so your buddy is comfortable all day long. My motto is that ALL animals deserve humane, kind, and compassionate care. About: Fully vaccinated even have a booster shot and work at Paradise Pet Resort as a Dog Play supervisor. Have been petsitting since I was a kid and have volunteered many times at Sonoma County Animal Shelter and even worked at Sonoma Humane Society. Currently have a beagle and 2 cats. Through petsitting and volunteering I also learned to give meds including insulin and learned to care for all different size dogs and cats from small to large. My favorite part is getting to know your pets and spending time with them. I have experience with dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, fish and even small mammals such as hamsters and guinea pigs. Even have watched some chickens before. Have an AA in Natural Science and working towards another AA in Natural resources then I get into internships from there. Work at a pet resort. Typically take care of them In the morning and try to come somewhere in the middle of the day to check on them and feed them at night. I check in on them 2-3 times a day and if needed I can stay with them at night. Will walk them at least 30 mins or more 2x a day unless asked other wise cats I will try to spend time with them unless they don’t come won’t chase them. Will clean up after them make sure they have necessities and play with them.

About: I've been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember, growing up with a lovable dog named Marley (in my profile picture). At just 10 years old, I started walking dogs around my neighborhood, and that grew into a passion for pet care. While I’ve mostly catsat over the years, I’ve also had the unique experience of snakesitting! Whether furry, scaly, or somewhere in between, I love all animals and treat every pet like my own. She provided regular updates and photos of Teddy having a great time with all his friends, Brandi dropped off and picked up for us which was so helpful during our wedding weekend. “Ari is the best sitter we have ever worked with. She gave our two shy skittish rescues, Ares and Carter, nearly three weeks of truly loving & fun care. We never once had to ask for photos or updates. We were able to fully enjoy our lengthy vacation without worrying about the dogs at all, which was huge given how we had to cut our last two trips short due to our dogs’ being unsafe with past sitters. I was so reassured by how she cared for them that I booked her for our next trip before this one had even ended. Ari's thoroughness stood out from our very first meet and greet. She asked detailed questions about our dogs that went well beyond the basics, and it was clear she genuinely wanted to understand them and their needs. She gave our pups space and didn’t force any interactions. Ari's patience & care with shy dogs sets her apart. Both of our dogs are Jindo rescues who are reserved with new people and need time to get comfortable in new spaces. Ari respected their timing and let them come to her instead of pushing for attention or constant handling. That approach made a huge difference. Within a week, our very shy dog was curling up to sleep on her bed with her. Both dogs were greeting her with happy barks, kisses, and full-body tail wags. They have never done that with anyone besides my partner and me…not even with friends and family they have repeatedly seen. Her home is a dream for dog parents. Ari secures different areas of her home so that dogs are not only safe but also have a quiet space to retreat to, which matters a great deal for nervous and fearful rescues. Her yard felt very secure, and our pups had such a great time playing in her outdoor space. Since their breed are notorious escape artists, these thoughtful setups gave me reassurance that the pups were secure. The moment that made me happiest came at pickup. Both dogs were happy to see us and still kept taking short breaks from us to go back to Ari on their own, wagging their tails and giving her kisses. Seeing them acknowledge her in the middle of reuniting with us showed how deeply they had bonded with her. Ari completely exceeded our expectations, and it is hard to overstate how much that meant after two horrible experiences that broke our trust. Both happened back to back right before finding her, and we had to end both bookings and trips early because our dogs were not safe. I had vetted those sitters carefully for weeks, and one of them weekly for four months, and it still wasn't enough. Those experiences left us anxious about traveling again and shrank our hopes to one thing: that our dogs would simply be safe.Ari's care went far beyond keeping them safe. Carter & Ares were happy, playful, affectionate & adore Ari. On top of all this, Ari a wonderful person. She is kind, flexible, humorous, and easy to talk to, and that warmth shows in how she cares for the dogs. Since coming home, both our dogs clearly miss her, which is a first. It means so much to know that when we go on vacation, they get a vacation of their own with the fun and care they deserve. We have finally found the person we can trust with our dogs.”
