“I had a trip planned a year ago and since then, adopted a puppy. I almost had to cancel my trip because my puppy was 13 weeks old and not yet fully vaccinated. I was nervous leaving a puppy who is still working on his behaviors (eg chewing!) and is not reliably potty trained. Fortunately, I found Duya. She was able to accommodate my puppy and ensure he was the only in the home, which was important for me because of his vaccination status. Duya was kind, patient, and gracious! She is also a great dog photographer/videographer judging by the pictures she sent me during his stay. I highly recommend Duya if you’re in the area and looking for a sitter.”

I graduated with my dog grooming certificate in 2023 including my Pet Cpr certification. Pet care is always important to fit through my school routine I have currently going on. Although it is online, I can always make time during breakfast, lunch, and dinner windows. Weekly I am not too busy and barely have any unexpected surprises, especially on the weekends where I’m completely free. UPDATE: I will be starting EMT school August 3rd (yay!!). I will be busy between 6pm-10pm but anything before 5:30 I can fit into my schedule! I also don’t mind doing late night stops after 10pm! :) For my pets I care for, I always walk them during the breakfast, lunch, and dinner windows making sure they go potty and eat/snack for their part of the day. For clients, I always take photos on my walk and update whether they went restroom or even ate their food.

She sent me photos and when I arrived to pick him up I could tell Willow felt comfortable with her and he was actually calm. Usually Willow is so frantic and scared when I pick him up that I know she bonded well with him and provided him a comfortable day. I’m pretty sure he was traumatized before I got him from the shelter so I am always aware of his reactions towards people at the end of the shift when I have to leave him. I highly recommend Jessie as a sitter and I appreciated the feedback she gave me about my baby when I picked him up. They also have a beautiful, spacious backyard where dogs can safely roam and play freely, which Toro clearly loved. In every update, he looked happy, relaxed, and like he was genuinely enjoying himself. They gave him so much affection, attention, and care throughout his stay. Honestly, I think Toro became attached because when I picked him up, he was whining as we were leaving! That says a lot. About: I’ve owned 6 dogs over the past 9 years, one as small as 5 pounds and two retriever mixes at over 90 pounds. I’ve worked with and trained dogs of all sizes, and am comfortable with all breeds, from fear reactive to lap dog! I currently have a standard poodle, and comfortable with most grooming and cleaning needs. I’m a pre-med student with a passion for medicine, both for humans and our pets alike. About: I have two cats. One is named Tiger—she’s an American Shorthair who used to be very aggressive and feisty. I’ve been very patient with her, and now she’s a cute little fur ball who loves sleeping next to me. My second cat, Kupo, is a 2-year-old Ragdoll. She has a great personality but loves to destroy my curtains and blinds. With my experience handling both a feisty cat and a mischievous one, I’m confident I can take good care of your cat as well.
