I have also helped a handful of wild animals heal and thrive, such as bats, rats, and opossums. About: I've owned dogs and helped in their care since I was young. I've pet sat for friends and neighbors as well. My current dog has been trained by me to be a service dog, so I'm good with puppy training, as well as patience. I currently have two dogs of my own and a cat as well. I’ve grown up with all sorts of animals, such a horses, chickens, sled dogs and cats. I’ve also worked as a kennel tech at a boarding/training facility and then moved on to become a trainer at that same facility. I always recommend crates for any situation but in my own home I would crate all dogs and rotate based on how they all get along. Feeding in the crate or separate from other animals. Daily walks or hikes depending on the animal. Cats would get daily enrichment. If weather doesn’t permit or the animal isn’t able to get that day I’d offer mental enrichment such as lick mats, food puzzles, play, training, etc.

The fences are regularly checked for holes under them to ensure our dog can't get out. I also have two large cat cages in my home where each of my cats sleep, but if needed, they can sleep in the same cage and the other one can be used to provide your pet some privacy, with their own food and water dishes. I have many many many interactive cat toys so even while i'm working, they can play with the toys that are attached to my desk and walls, along with scratching posts.

I am very adept at walking and caring for reactive dogs who can have a hard time with other dogs and/or humans, and do my best to avoid any situations that can trigger reactive behaviors. About: I’ve had animals since I was a kid and have fostered numerous pets (mostly cats). I have accommodations for dogs and cats with safety being my top priority. I only work 2-3 days of the week. The days I watch pets are days they have my full attention. If they are active pets, playtime, parks, and hikes it is! I’ve also worked as a kennel tech at a boarding/training facility and then moved on to become a trainer at that same facility. I always recommend crates for any situation but in my own home I would crate all dogs and rotate based on how they all get along. Feeding in the crate or separate from other animals. Daily walks or hikes depending on the animal. Cats would get daily enrichment. If weather doesn’t permit or the animal isn’t able to get that day I’d offer mental enrichment such as lick mats, food puzzles, play, training, etc.

“I requested services from Amy to walk my dog Penny while I was out of town. Although I was unable to meet her in person, Amy exceeded my expectations. I was a little apprehensive about someone else walking my dog because she is still a young lab in training, Amy understood my concerns and made me feel comfortable with her services. On the days Amy would take Penny out, she constantly sent me updates with photos and videos of Penny playing with other dogs. Penny was also very well behaved with Amy, which was my concern, and that she listened to Amy. When penny was dropped off at my parents house, my mom would tell me how exhausted Penny would come home after a day with Amy and how well behaved she was after the walks. Weekends I have more flexibility during the day and can watch your companion overnight on saturday and sunday if needed. I have a fenced back yard and a very friend shiba inu and chow chow mix who is a spayed female dog and is the light of my life and a black outdoor cat.
