Our usual dog care fell through right before a long out-of-state trip, and we were genuinely considering postponing because our senior dog, Indi, has recently been diagnosed with IBD and needs a specialized diet, daily meds, and a calm, attentive environment. She can get stressed easily in new places, which has previously led to tummy issues and even skin flare-ups — so we were very nervous about leaving her with someone new. From the very first message, Luna was incredibly warm, proactive, and thoughtful. She even offered to set up a meet-and-greet right away before we could ask, which immediately put us at ease. Once we dropped Indi off, it was clear Luna treats animals like family. Her own dog, Jim, also has IBD, so she had first-hand experience and comfort caring for a pup with similar needs. Throughout the two weeks, Luna provided detailed updates every single day — including meals, meds, walks, and yes, digestion reports (very appreciated 😂). She took so many adorable photos and videos that we could see how happy and relaxed Indi was. Our dog walker also commented on how noticeably happier and healthier Indi seemed while staying at Luna’s — her stools even improved (a true win for IBD dog parents!). Communication was flawless, kind, and reassuring the whole time. We felt completely at ease, which is priceless. We would absolutely book with Luna again and recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a sitter who is caring, attentive, and truly exceptional. “Jeanette and her husband provided top notch care for my 3 dogs! My trio can be tough to please. They are very spoiled and demand pampering almost 24/7! I have a 15 year old Chihuahua mix and he can be very cranky. He was accommodated and allowed to be himself! I appreciated being alerted that my dogs were protesting food and treats I provided. Janette was concerned that the dogs were not eating. I immediately ordered alternative food and treats and Janette was flexible and did whatever necessary to ensure that my dogs ate something. I especially appreciated Janette and her Husband for accommodating pickup time. My flight was delayed about 5 hours. I wasn't able to pickup my dogs until after midnight. Janette was very graceful and helped make a smooth transition for my pets being returned to my care. With Janette, I found reliable and trusted care for my pets. I will use her services again and will recommend others I know to give her pet boarding business a try.”

About: Carly grew up with cats and they have always held a special place in her heart. The cats of her childhood were a somewhat wild things that would roam around her backyard in Tahoe most of the day, checking back in to deliver presents of dead chipmunks and birds, and to cuddle. She’ll never forget delivering the kittens of her cat, Callie the Calico, when she was about 13– a formative experience in her young life. Carly frequently took care of other cats in her neighborhood when their owners went out of town, and is familiar and fluent in the gentle dance of getting to know a new cat, establishing trust and boundaries. “This was Kat's first time sitting for our kitten Peanut, and she exceeded our expectations across the board. Communication was excellent — she shared regular updates and sent us genuinely fun photos that we loved getting throughout the trip. When we hit an unexpected schedule change, Kat was completely accommodating and made it a non-issue. The house was just as clean as we left it. She followed everything we asked, from the litter box routine to stripping the bed before we got back. About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. Growing up my family always had dogs of all sizes. My husband and sons are also big animal lovers and look forward to the day that we’ll have our own family dog. We travel a lot which makes it difficult to be a full time pet owner. If I’m traveling to you or taking your dog to a local park for a walk, I have an SUV that will allow me to transport him/her. My children would not be with your dog unsupervised.

We have an Australian-Shepherd who such a bundle of joy, energy, and excitement, always eager to make new experiences, new pet friends, and new human-bonds! I've been taking care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I've always had at least 2-3 dogs at-home, at all times. These dogs have either stayed for just the day, overnight, or have boarded with me, the longest-boarding being 2-3 months with a German-Shepherd rescue, and we always have a blast. We always seek to find a routine so as to calm any boredom or stress throughout each day! We play, take walks, hang out in the grass yard / property, and go on 1-3 miles hikes in the local area! I love to spoil every dog I have the pleasure to be around, take scenic walks, and of course taking lots and lots of pictures. Daytime Adventures: Available most weeks days (7am-4pm, pickup or drop off) to take your pup on a hike, play yard games, and practice new skills. Sitting and Boarding: Kainoa and Carly are available for night and weekend sitting or longer-term boarding with 1 week advance notice. We live on a large property with a fenced-in yard, lush green-pasture for playtime, and complete with a shaded (puppy-proof) deck! I have no problem with crate-training, my goal is to give your pet what they need to be settled, calm, happy, curious, and playful… and then to give them lots of love and cuddles and kisses!
“Kushram and Family are a wonderful find for dog sitting or doggy day care. Give the initial booking request a bit of lead time, as the confirmation that the day/time works may take up to a day to come through. This time I put in a request 9:30pm on a Saturday, and got confirmation Sunday evening. (I suspect requests are processed daily). The initial booking request was the largest gap we experienced in communication, scheduling the meet and greet by messages was easy - they were very responsive and want to ensure you and your pup will be comfortable with their set up and go over any special needs of the dog. Our elder pup Rick was drawn to Kushram and the whole family even on the meet and greet (I think just his wife and adult nephew), as well the drop off day of, and they were able to make him comfortable enough to eat even on a short visit. Given our short booking (only about 3 hrs) we can't really comment on long term pictures/communication during the visit, but I can say I feel pretty happy that I found some place local where I feel comfortable leaving my dog when I need to go somewhere. They also have some experience with some dog special needs, but can help best when they know about it ahead of time. They were not concerned or put off in the slightest by our pups needs (mostly that he's pretty clingy, can get cold easily, and only has 3 teeth and will only eat small pieces of food, and doesn't love hanging out with other dogs), and described other dogs they had watched with similar or more challenging needs such as dog-sitting a blind dog in a new space. Thank you for taking good care of our pup!”

About: Hi there, I’m Chris! I’ve had some kind of pet in my life ever since I was little, from cats to dogs to aquatic acquaintances! I currently have two cats that bring me so much happiness. I’ve been my friend’s and family’s go to pet sitter for many years due to my obvious love of pets and animals. I’ve taken care of all sizes of dogs and of all ages, as well as mixed species pet families. I establish bonds with the animals I care for which can sometimes make it hard to say goodbye. I adore puppies due to their excitable nature and high energy! Cats have a special place in my heart because of the memories I share with the cats I’ve had but if you were to ask me if I was a cat or dog person; I’d say, “Why can’t you be both?” LGBTQIA+ friendly I graduated from college with a degree in anthropology and am now back in my hometown working a part-time contract job. My work schedule is very flexible so with enough time’s notice I can work any request into it. I am typically free to feed and walk pets in the morning and evening, as typical schedules go. Please let me know if there are any special requests or needs for your animal! I understand the importance of an animals happiness and mental state. I am very much used to taking care of pets in other’s houses and will follow the rules of the house perfectly. I have house sat in Kosher households before so I am familiar with the importance of following set rules. I am okay with pets that sleep on the bed with the owner or having to crate up a pet for the night. I am a private person and often keep to myself; I don’t cause a ruckus! I keep things nice and tidy just like the saying goes, “a place for everything and an everything in its place.”
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was born. We had a lab and a labradoodle, who sadly passed away a few months ago. Now that we have an empty house, I decided to use my experience to help dog parents in need. I have a lot of experience handling horses, so I can take good care of any size dog:) I am currently on summer break, so I have availability. I am a bunny parent and have taken care of her on my own for 5 years. We just lost our dog, but he was my furry best friend for 12 years and I took care of and walked him. I have a large area outdoors for my bunny to play in safely, and she is secured in a hutch inside the play area at night to ensure safely from predators. When it is too hot or too cold, she will come inside the house and be free roam. She is fed unlimited hay, a portion of high quality pellets and a variation of fruits and veggies as treats. She is very healthy and happy and living her best life. I prioritize the health and well being of all animals.
About: I have been a animal lover for as long as I can remember! I got my first dog, Daisy, when I was 7 Years old and quickly found a passion for caring for animals. My family and friends have relied on me over the years to walk, feed, and love their pets. I even spent a few summers volunteering at the Humane Society in Marin County. During the pandemic I got my second dog. With the extra time on my hands, I focused on training Autumn. This training included socializing with other dogs and humans, introducing different environments and sounds, leash training and learning basic commands like siting and healing. About: I’ve had a dog ever since I was about 8 years old. I’m about to be 29 so that’s over 20 years of experience! I’ve had very calm dogs to my now 2 high energy, herding, reactive dogs! I can work with all types of temperaments! I currently work from 8-1 but my hours are very flexible due to being able to remote work! I am available to in home pet sit on the weekends starting Friday until Sunday! I will be sure to keep your pet on their routine in the comfort of their own home. Take normal walking routes and be sure to clean up after them. I am a safe a reliable source. I have pet sat for multiple people and have had no problems.
