“We are SO grateful we found Luna! Our usual dog care fell through right before a long out-of-state trip, and we were genuinely considering postponing because our senior dog, Indi, has recently been diagnosed with IBD and needs a specialized diet, daily meds, and a calm, attentive environment. She can get stressed easily in new places, which has previously led to tummy issues and even skin flare-ups — so we were very nervous about leaving her with someone new. From the very first message, Luna was incredibly warm, proactive, and thoughtful. She even offered to set up a meet-and-greet right away before we could ask, which immediately put us at ease. Once we dropped Indi off, it was clear Luna treats animals like family. Her own dog, Jim, also has IBD, so she had first-hand experience and comfort caring for a pup with similar needs. Throughout the two weeks, Luna provided detailed updates every single day — including meals, meds, walks, and yes, digestion reports (very appreciated 😂). She took so many adorable photos and videos that we could see how happy and relaxed Indi was. Our dog walker also commented on how noticeably happier and healthier Indi seemed while staying at Luna’s — her stools even improved (a true win for IBD dog parents!). About: I’ve taken care of cats for all my life. Since I was little my family always had a cat in the house and I continue on this lifestyle by owning two precious cats of my own. I especially love meeting cats because of their ranging temperaments and having to typically earn their trust rather than being instantly friendly. She did a wonderful job during the drop in visits twice a day with Baron Von Bubbles including administrating insulin shots, giving medicine, feeding, scooping the litter & giving him fresh water. I've been taking care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I've always had at least 2-3 dogs at-home, at all times. These dogs have either stayed for just the day, overnight, or have boarded with me, the longest-boarding being 2-3 months with a German-Shepherd rescue, and we always have a blast. We always seek to find a routine so as to calm any boredom or stress throughout each day! We play, take walks, hang out in the grass yard / property, and go on 1-3 miles hikes in the local area! I love to spoil every dog I have the pleasure to be around, take scenic walks, and of course taking lots and lots of pictures. Daytime Adventures: Available most weeks days (7am-4pm, pickup or drop off) to take your pup on a hike, play yard games, and practice new skills. Sitting and Boarding: Kainoa and Carly are available for night and weekend sitting or longer-term boarding with 1 week advance notice. We live on a large property with a fenced-in yard, lush green-pasture for playtime, and complete with a shaded (puppy-proof) deck! I have no problem with crate-training, my goal is to give your pet what they need to be settled, calm, happy, curious, and playful… and then to give them lots of love and cuddles and kisses!

“Kushram and Family are a wonderful find for dog sitting or doggy day care. Give the initial booking request a bit of lead time, as the confirmation that the day/time works may take up to a day to come through. This time I put in a request 9:30pm on a Saturday, and got confirmation Sunday evening. (I suspect requests are processed daily). The initial booking request was the largest gap we experienced in communication, scheduling the meet and greet by messages was easy - they were very responsive and want to ensure you and your pup will be comfortable with their set up and go over any special needs of the dog. Our elder pup Rick was drawn to Kushram and the whole family even on the meet and greet (I think just his wife and adult nephew), as well the drop off day of, and they were able to make him comfortable enough to eat even on a short visit. Given our short booking (only about 3 hrs) we can't really comment on long term pictures/communication during the visit, but I can say I feel pretty happy that I found some place local where I feel comfortable leaving my dog when I need to go somewhere. They also have some experience with some dog special needs, but can help best when they know about it ahead of time. They were not concerned or put off in the slightest by our pups needs (mostly that he's pretty clingy, can get cold easily, and only has 3 teeth and will only eat small pieces of food, and doesn't love hanging out with other dogs), and described other dogs they had watched with similar or more challenging needs such as dog-sitting a blind dog in a new space. Thank you for taking good care of our pup!”

About: Hi there, I’m Chris! I’ve had some kind of pet in my life ever since I was little, from cats to dogs to aquatic acquaintances! I currently have two cats that bring me so much happiness. I’ve been my friend’s and family’s go to pet sitter for many years due to my obvious love of pets and animals. I’ve taken care of all sizes of dogs and of all ages, as well as mixed species pet families. I establish bonds with the animals I care for which can sometimes make it hard to say goodbye. I adore puppies due to their excitable nature and high energy! Cats have a special place in my heart because of the memories I share with the cats I’ve had but if you were to ask me if I was a cat or dog person; I’d say, “Why can’t you be both?” LGBTQIA+ friendly I graduated from college with a degree in anthropology and am now back in my hometown working a part-time contract job. My work schedule is very flexible so with enough time’s notice I can work any request into it. I am typically free to feed and walk pets in the morning and evening, as typical schedules go. Please let me know if there are any special requests or needs for your animal! I understand the importance of an animals happiness and mental state. I am very much used to taking care of pets in other’s houses and will follow the rules of the house perfectly. I have house sat in Kosher households before so I am familiar with the importance of following set rules. I am okay with pets that sleep on the bed with the owner or having to crate up a pet for the night. I am a private person and often keep to myself; I don’t cause a ruckus! I keep things nice and tidy just like the saying goes, “a place for everything and an everything in its place.”
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was born. We had a lab and a labradoodle, who sadly passed away a few months ago. Now that we have an empty house, I decided to use my experience to help dog parents in need. I have a lot of experience handling horses, so I can take good care of any size dog:) I am currently on summer break, so I have availability. I am a bunny parent and have taken care of her on my own for 5 years. We just lost our dog, but he was my furry best friend for 12 years and I took care of and walked him. I have a large area outdoors for my bunny to play in safely, and she is secured in a hutch inside the play area at night to ensure safely from predators. When it is too hot or too cold, she will come inside the house and be free roam. She is fed unlimited hay, a portion of high quality pellets and a variation of fruits and veggies as treats. She is very healthy and happy and living her best life. I prioritize the health and well being of all animals.
About: I have been a animal lover for as long as I can remember! I got my first dog, Daisy, when I was 7 Years old and quickly found a passion for caring for animals. My family and friends have relied on me over the years to walk, feed, and love their pets. I even spent a few summers volunteering at the Humane Society in Marin County. During the pandemic I got my second dog. With the extra time on my hands, I focused on training Autumn. This training included socializing with other dogs and humans, introducing different environments and sounds, leash training and learning basic commands like siting and healing. My First dog is now 14 years old and requires a bit more senior care, this includes giving proper medications and more often bathroom breaks. About: I have taken care of my own dogs and helped family friends with theirs for about 7 years. I have 2 dogs at home and love them so much! I also volunteered at my local animal shelter with dogs many times growing up! They have trusted me with walking, feeding, bathing, and just spending time with their dogs, and would love to spend time with yours! I am currently working part time Wednesday (10am-3pm), Thursday (10am-3pm), and Friday (9am-5:30pm). And I would love to help out either before or after those times and on weekends!
