About: I have three pets, two dogs and one cat. I am responsible for feeding them, replacing the pee pads, cleaning up the litter, and walking the dogs. I have had my dogs for over ten years and they have helped me through tough times, and I want to help other dogs who need help whenever the owner is busy. My cat follows me wherever I go and climbs on my shoulders like a parrot, and my dogs come to me when they are scared. I am available every day including holidays (I rather hang out with your pets than be with my family, don't tell them). However, I am a college student. On Mondays, I'll be unavailable from 2:30-8:00 p.m. On Tuesdays, I'll be available by 1:00 p.m. On Wednesdays, I'll be unavailable from 12:30-4:00 p.m. On Thursdays, I'll be unavailable from 10:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. & 6:00-8:00 p.m. From Friday to Sunday, I'm free. I am someone who is emotionally attached to animals, so I will do everything I can to make sure your pet is safe and healthy, such as not letting them go outside by your request, keeping them away from toxic and poisonous foods, and keeping a sharp eye on them to make sure they don't hurt themselves.

“We took our fearful little guy, Charlie, to Mariah and Neil’s house as a get- to - know- you- while -Mom- and Dad- are present visit. This was a first venture for our doggie Charlie and us, not a traditional dog-sitting event. We really liked Mariah and Neil. We were impressed with their kindness and awareness in dealing with dogs in their home. We felt they were honest in describing Charlie’s expected behavior in first being boarded with them, and we loved that. We know our dog well enough to know that leaving him in a strange new house wouldn’t immediately (particularly for a fearful dog like Charlie) be all roses and chumminess. We did leave him for about 15 minutes alone with Mariah and Neil (“ fearful parents, not so much fearful dog!”) and Charlie reacted just as Neil and Mariah predicted. Their home feels warm and loving. They have two really adorable pups who are obviously loved and well-adjusted. We would recommend Neil and Mariah as carers and will definitely be trying to book them again soon!”

Both are known to struggle with other dogs, including each other. I was honestly preparing for this to simply be a safe, calm stay...what we got was something truly incredible. From the very beginning, Mark asked all the right questions about behavior, needs, routines and safety. It was clear he understood these were not "easy" dogs and approach their care with thoughtfulness, patience and professionalism. “Amanda took care of our home and cats for multiple weeks while we were out of country; she was attentive during our orientation and made sure to pay attention to each one. Useful since two of them don't get along. When we got home the litter was scooped and messes were swept. Incidental messes like hairballs were cleaned up and reported on during her daily write ups. We had a remote camera set up in the living room (we informed her about) and our check ins always showed us how she took care to ensure our local escape artist was shooed from the door with care and safety in mind. About: I've had animals all of my life. My parents kept getting me more animals because they said as long I was taking good care of them, then I could get more. I would keep journals about their well being( Funny, I know) The point is, I love animals. I have had dogs,puppies, cats, lizards, hamsters, chickens, horses, ferrets, and chameleons, I have 2 dogs of my own and they are my children. It's of the utmost importance to me that any animal under my care feels very loved, and taken care of. I know it can be traumatic being away from your animal, and it can create anxiety. About: I have experience with dogs and cats, young and old, easy and "difficult". I am very adept at walking and caring for reactive dogs who can have a hard time with other dogs and/or humans, and do my best to avoid any situations that can trigger reactive behaviors. I'm also happy to help keep up any training routines, I'm pretty proficient in general dog training, but I know it always comes down to the individual dogs for what works best. I often have people remark about their pets who usually don't warm up to new people immediately taking a liking to me! I make sure to take extra care with reactive dogs and avoid any situations that may trigger them as best as possible.

About: Hi There! My name is Bailey and I am an experienced pet sitter with repeat clients who continue to trust me for ongoing care. I specialize in providing calm, consistent, and attentive care for pets while their owners are away. I have been caring for animals for many years, starting with family and friends’ pets, and have been active on Rover since January 2025. I provide dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding, and pet sitting, always focused on keeping pets comfortable and maintaining their normal routine. I am available for stop-in visits, feeding, walks, and overnight house sitting, and I do my best to accommodate regular or recurring clients whenever possible. My top priority is always the safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet in my care. I treat each home and animal with respect and follow all owner instructions closely to maintain your pet’s normal routine. I provide care in the client’s home, where pets are most comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I am not currently able to offer boarding in my home, but I am fully available for in-home visits, walks, and house sitting. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pets and home, and I make sure to provide reliable, attentive care along with regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing.
About: I have been a sitter for 4 years for friends and neighbors. My care has included walking, potty breaks, overnight care, and more! I’ve lived with Dobermans my whole life and am capable of care for any dog of any size! I am a full time student at Cal Poly humboldt, my classes are in the morning and I am completely open in afternoons, weekends and holidays! I am active and love to play with animals!! My dogs at home are escape artists so I know how to avoid an escape due to fences. I have kennel trained multiple of my dogs and prefer to use kennels for bigger dogs.
About: I am a 26 year old graduate student attending Cal Poly Humboldt. I have always loved animals from a very young age and have owned a variety of animals since I was a child that include; mice, snakes, hamsters, dogs, and cats. I also have experience dog-sitting and cat-sitting for extended periods of time. I love animals and am excited to meet your furry/non-furry family members. I have classes throughout the week but have a good amount of time in between them so I am able to pet-sit and dog walk with a pretty flexible schedule! I have pet-sat for many families within the setting of their homes. About: I had a small dog for over 10 years who was a beloved member of our family. She passed this previous winter and I wasn't able to be there because I was away at university. I want to make sure other pet parents feel secure that someone is there who genuinely cares for their pet. I also have two cats and a blue-tongued skink at my other house in southern California, and I've also had a scorpion and vinegaroon. I have a snake here with me in Arcata and I've cared for snakes since I was a young child. I've also petsat a bearded dragon. Cats and dogs are both fond of me, but I'm capable of caring for unique types of pets, as well! I'll be in Arcata the entire summer except for a week in early June, so if your usual university student sitter isn't around, I will be! I don't currently have a full-time job over the summer nor over the school year, so I'll be free to spend as much time with your pet as you desire or need. I don't have a yard, but if you need your pet to get some fresh air, I'm willing to take them wherever! I have a car that can fit your best friend if they like the beach, or the woods, or another fun spot that'll help them get exercise and stimulation while you're away.

About: I am a grounded and compassionate person, who absolutely loves animals! Dogs and cats are my specialty, but have cared for goats , chickens and bunnies! Ive been filling my free time dog/cat walking and house sitting for the last 6 years, and have thoroughly enjoyed each visit. “We took our fearful little guy, Charlie, to Mariah and Neil’s house as a get- to - know- you- while -Mom- and Dad- are present visit. This was a first venture for our doggie Charlie and us, not a traditional dog-sitting event. We really liked Mariah and Neil. We were impressed with their kindness and awareness in dealing with dogs in their home. We felt they were honest in describing Charlie’s expected behavior in first being boarded with them, and we loved that. We know our dog well enough to know that leaving him in a strange new house wouldn’t immediately (particularly for a fearful dog like Charlie) be all roses and chumminess. We did leave him for about 15 minutes alone with Mariah and Neil (“ fearful parents, not so much fearful dog!”) and Charlie reacted just as Neil and Mariah predicted. Their home feels warm and loving. They have two really adorable pups who are obviously loved and well-adjusted. We would recommend Neil and Mariah as carers and will definitely be trying to book them again soon!”

“Outstanding care, a True Dog whisperer. Sequoia Humane Society hired Mark to care for Browner an d Odie over the Thanksgiving holiday - Two large dogs! Both are known to struggle with other dogs, including each other. I was honestly preparing for this to simply be a safe, calm stay...what we got was something truly incredible. From the very beginning, Mark asked all the right questions about behavior, needs, routines and safety. It was clear he understood these were not "easy" dogs and approach their care with thoughtfulness, patience and professionalism. I encouraged him to try socializing them only if he felt right about an opportunity. To our complete surprise, Brownie and Odie became best friends almost immediately in his care. This is something we have not been able to achieve in a shelter environment and seeing that transformation was nothing short of amazing. This experience has opened new doors for both dogs and given us real hope for their future success in foster and forever homes. Both dogs had the time of their life in Mark's care. About: Having extensive knowledge on dog nutrition as well as domesticating feral dogs with specialized training. I am also skilled in administering all types medication. My dog Axl and I completed AKC canine good citizen certification. This has increased my skills in dog training and behavioral corrections.
