About: As a child we weren't allowed to have cats despite wanting one. My brother and I secretly fed and cared for a stray in our garage until we were caught and had to find a proper home for her. Now my parents have a cat! I've cared for Cali a few times in recent years when they would travel. Most recently I spent three months in Italy at a villa and part of my job was to care for Tinker, a brave and friendly male cat whom I adored. My friend Beth also has cat I have grown to love and care for along with her dogs over the past two years. I've cared for both indoor and outdoor cats.

About: I’m the mom to a cat named Zeppelin, a dog named Stevie and a horse named Cece. I successfully trained both Stevie and Zeppelin (yes you can train a cat!) myself and have dabbled in equine training as well. Being the guardian of a nervous, reactive pup, I pride myself on understanding animal behavior and dog body language. After bringing Stevie home, I was quickly thrown into the world of dog training and behavior modification out of necessity and I have a special place in my heart for nervous pups. I've even started training other people's dogs on the side! After training my own dog, I fell in love with the process and couldn't put it down! I’ve also worked in a veterinary office and feel confident in my abilities to keep your animals safe and know how to handle emergencies. I’m a lab assistant for an environmental toxicology lab and train dogs on the side. I am available for drop ins and walks in the late afternoon and evening most days as well as any time on Sunday’s. At this time I am not available for boarding or overnight stays. I’ll treat your pets like I treat my own, all of mine are rescues that took time, patience and trust to get to where we are now. “While visiting Carmel, we needed someone to care for our miniature Australian Shepherd for a day. With no experience leaving Blu with anyone locally, we chose David through Rover. We met David for an introductory visit and he gave us a tour of his excellent facilities, introduced Blu to his own dog and cat, and immediately put us all at ease. When our plans changed at the last minute, he was flexible and accommodating. At drop-off, Blu quickly settled into his surroundings, and the photos David shared showed he was comfortable and had made himself right at home. She responds extremely quickly to all messages and was very friendly and happy to have Bruiser in her house, which was beautiful and very clean. We could tell she had prepared to watch Bruiser and listened to all of our notes and instructions for him. Bruiser can sometimes be antsy when in a new place or with strangers, but he seemed more at home with Athena than at our hotel! About: I have the most experience with various dog breeds young and old. More recently I have grown to also love and care for cats. Most of my full time experience has been with my personal dogs. Zoe, an Australian Shepard, was a shining light in my life for 14 years. Prior to Zoe I had Max, a sweet and gentle Rottweiler I was with for 6 years. For the past 4 years I've been spending a lot of time caring for the beloved pets and homes of my friends and family. I'm a retired teacher so my schedule is pretty flexible. I do some regular volunteer work with cancer patients a few hours each week. I walk or hike daily and a furry companion would be welcome. It's one of the main reasons I signed up for Rover! About: My boyfriend (& roommate) and I both have a lifelong love for animals and am really missing having pets around! I’ve grown up with all sorts of dog breeds ranging from Pit Bulls to Havanese and feel comfortable around them all. I’ve also opened my home to foster dogs, embracing the joys and challenges that come with caring for both older dogs and newborn puppies. My commitment to the well-being of these animals extends beyond routine care to creating a warm and loving environment that caters to their individual needs. About: I've had dogs nearly my entire life, enjoying them from puppyhood to senior age. As my kids grew up, I have also taken care of hamsters, bunnies, lizards, turtles, and parakeets. But most of all, I love dogs. My dog Rainie is an English lab, half chocolate/half yellow who loves playing with other dogs, especially other labs. My regular routine includes walking and gardening with our guest dogs. I have a large fenced yard and a single level home 8 steps above ground. Your dog will spend most of their time wherever I happen to be and will be given regular potty breaks. Your dog will enjoy romping in the yard for extended periods under supervision, but will not be left unattended in the yard. Please provide detailed feeding and medication instructions and I will follow them to the letter. Tell me about your dog's special likes, dislikes, fears, and behavioral quirks so we can make dog feel at home. Your dog must be able to manage the steps to get in and out of the house, be willing to use the doggie ramp, or be small enough for me to carry up and down. Must be housebroken. Please provide crate if crate trained and more comfortable in the crate. Or, provide favorite bed or blanket. Otherwise, we have a collection of blankets. Please bring your dog's favorite toy. Some large dogs accepted, depending on size, breed, and degree of training. A meet and greet is a must for most dogs. Pit bulls, Rottweilers, and Dobermans will not be accepted under any circumstances. I realize that many individual dogs are very sweet, but as a rule, these breeds unnerve me, and the dog will sense that.
