About: Dogs have been and always will be one of my greatest loves! My childhood dogs made my life so much more meaningful. When our own kids were growing up we had two dogs which we adopted as puppies and had the pleasure of having until they passed from old age. Both our son and daughter are Rover dog sitters and we have greatly enjoyed helping them care for these amazing dogs. Now, we are ready to take care of our own! We are a retired couple who loves dogs and will almost always be home to provide companionship and love to your pup. We also enjoy taking dogs on neighborhood walks and making sure that they have a fantastic vacation while in our care! We have a large fenced yard and a grassy area for the dogs to run around in. We also have a swimming pool. Our peaceful neighborhood is perfect for going on walks with the dogs and we will send daily photos of your dog to you!

But the moment we went for a meet-and-greet at Joyce’s home, both our puppy and we felt completely at ease. We took a short 3-day trip and left our dog with Joyce, and she and her family took such wonderful care of her. Joyce sent us daily updates and pictures, which really helped put our minds at ease. Before the boarding even began, she took detailed notes about our puppy’s routine, including things like her feeding schedule and even her poop cycle, so that her entire family could be on the same page. My Leeloo was absolutely spoiled with daily pack hikes in the redwoods and lots of puppy rumbles. Kara even helped work on her off-leash recall! She shared daily videos of their redwood romps and I picked up a very happy, very tired pup. We will definitely be booking with Kara whenever we can't bring our pups with us on trips.”

About: I raised by dog from one month old and trained him his whole life! I grew up around dogs my whole life and love them. Animals mean so much to me and I love caring for them. “I am so excited to have found Kara! Finding a great dog sitter who is comfortable taking my 100 lbs. Newfie mix is no easy feat, let alone one that is local to the SC Mountains! My Leeloo was absolutely spoiled with daily pack hikes in the redwoods and lots of puppy rumbles. Kara even helped work on her off-leash recall! She shared daily videos of their redwood romps and I picked up a very happy, very tired pup. We will definitely be booking with Kara whenever we can't bring our pups with us on trips.”

“Hi, I can tell when my dog was not stressed upon return from a boarding experience and our dog, was happy when no the caring hands of Steve and co. I got regular updates and My dog went on long walks and hikes. He had the company of other dogs and behaved in Steve’s presence- him being a trainer himself. Rachel and her husband offered a meet and greet, were curious about rules I have for my pet so they could adhere to them too, they gave her great exercise and an opportunity to play with their dogs, they are experienced and have a safe home, and it seems like my puppy just really liked it there. She came back tired and happy. I would rebook.”
