“We left our 1-year-old pup with Nayla and Zeina for 5 days and they took SUCH great care of him! He loves being outdoors and Nayla took the dogs on off-leash walks twice a day, as well as made sure our pup was comfortable and ‘at home’ in her home. It was our first time leaving him with someone and Nayla very kindly sent lots of photos and videos. It was clear our pup was LOVING his time playing with Nayla, Zeina, and their many other dog friends too. Nayla was also super helpful and flexible in coordinating drop off and pickup for times that would work with our flights. Overall it was such a great experience and we can’t recommend Nayla enough!!”

About: I have experience working at a doggy day-care. I was responsible for watching and entertaining up to 25 dogs at a time of all ages and sizes! I work 10 hour shifts 4 days a week Tues-Fri. About: I'm Rachel, a writer with a flexible schedule and a love of all things canine. I live with my husband, and my chocolate Labrador retriever, Ellie, in our West Shore cabin near Homewood. About: I love my dogs , and will love yours just the same! My home is small and cozy, with near access of hundreds of acres of woods with amazing hiking trails! A number of dog friendly beaches are close by for summer swimming as well. I prefer pups that are ok off leash for romps in the woods, as I take my dogs there for exercise daily. About my yard I do not have a fenced in yard. My home is located in the Tahoe Donner neighborhood, and backs up to hundreds of acres of forest. That is where we do all of our adventuring. I am self-employed, and my work days typically start at 3. That gives ample time for morning adventures! Our current daily routine typically goes as follows - 7:30am wake up, on-leash bathroom time, breakfast, post breakfast snooze, 10am adventure, noon treats and chill, 3pm bathroom break, 7:30pm dinner, after dinner chill, bathroom break, 9:30 bed time! Most pups that stay with us fit very well into that routine. I am very hands-on and attentive to my fuzzy friends. My dogs are never out of my sight. They have full range of the house (couch, bed, chairs, laps!).

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I raised a Beagle (Billy) from puppyhood and proudly attended dog training classes with him (Billy and I both learned alot !) I've also had the joy of rescuing Summer, a gorgeous ex-show dog Golden Retriever, who was by my side for 13 years. After that was Bammer, an Alaskan Husky Lab mix. He was my adventure buddy, and always kept me on my toes! Besides my own dogs, I've had lots of experience caring for my friends' dogs while they are travelling, so have been able to adapt to all kinds of personalities, temperaments and levels of energy. The silver lining is that I currently have no pets of my own, which means your dog will get all the love, attention, belly rubs, walks, playtime, and couch cuddles they can handle. Whether your pup is an energetic explorer, a pro napper, or somewhere in between, they'll be treated like part of the familly. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, and my goal is simple: to make sure they're happy, safe, loved, and maybe just a little spoiled while you're away. 🐾 I work from home and have a flexible schedule, allowing for plenty of attention, potty breaks, and playtime throughout the day. I also love getting outside for neighborhood walks, so your pup will get lots of fresh air, exercise, and cuddles. I have a fully fenced yard for safe play and potty breaks, and dogs are welcome inside the home as part of the family. About: I received formal education and receive continual education of cat and dog behavior at my job as Lead Animal Caretaker for the Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe. I understand that every dog is an individual and should be treated as such. I have experience working with and handling dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages. About: I’ve taken care of of many dogs over the past several years ranging from longer stays (I watched the sweetest pitbull for 6 months), to short stays. I have a lot of experience with puppies, as well as dogs from a variety of backgrounds, as I frequently foster dogs for my local Humane Society. I am a mama to a sweet 5 year old German Shepard/ Husky mix named Zeina. She is very active and playful. I love animals and truly value their companionship. I take the responsibility of being a dog auntie very seriously and will give your pup all of my care and love. I’m very active and spend a lot of time outside. The best compliment I got was from my friend Juan who had to leave his dog with me for 5 months. He came back and told me his dog was in better shape and healthier than when he left him! I am comfortable caring for dogs who need medications, and am happy to care for dogs of all ages, but definitely do best with dogs who can go outside, and are okay off leash, as my dog and I go on two walks a day where she runs around off leash and gets to release all her energy! I prefer to go on off leash walks with a pack that has good recall. If your dog needs to be on leash, that is fine just please let me know. I work from home, so your dog would really never be alone for more than a couple hours. I can do potty breaks whenever needed and have lots of dog toys at the house. I have a couple acres around my house, but it’s not fenced, so the dogs are never out alone there. I have an enclosed deck where they love to sun bathe during the day. I’m close to walking paths, fields, and Donner lake dog beach which are all great for the dogs to play. I'll treat your dogs just as I treat my own...my dog is a very happy pup!

He loves being outdoors and Nayla took the dogs on off-leash walks twice a day, as well as made sure our pup was comfortable and ‘at home’ in her home. It was our first time leaving him with someone and Nayla very kindly sent lots of photos and videos. It was clear our pup was LOVING his time playing with Nayla, Zeina, and their many other dog friends too. Nayla was also super helpful and flexible in coordinating drop off and pickup for times that would work with our flights. Overall it was such a great experience and we can’t recommend Nayla enough!!”

I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.
About: I have experience working at a doggy day-care. I was responsible for watching and entertaining up to 25 dogs at a time of all ages and sizes! I work 10 hour shifts 4 days a week Tues-Fri. I am not home for pick ups/drop-offs between 7:15 AM-6:30 PM on those days. However my 3-day weekend gives me plenty of time to give your pup the love and attention they deserve!
