“I boarded my 20 pound Miniature Schnauzer with Ron for a period of ten days while in Hawaii. My pup is an important part of my family and I want him to feel as if he is also having a vacation while I am away. After carefully researching every available boarding option I decided on Ron. I met Ron for a meet and greet before the actual boarding and his responsible and trustworthy nature was evident. Ron also has a beautifully landscaped and secure back yard. Lastly, Ron's Poodle Lily made an excellent companion to my proportionately sized Miniature Schnauzer. In my opinion, the combination of these qualities make's Ron the best choice for small dog boarding in Tucson. My schnauzer had a joyous time frolicking and cuddling with Ron's poodle while I was away. Ron did a great job of sending photos. The photos showed that my pup was eating, enjoying time on the couch and even cuddled in bed next to Ron's poodle. I received photos throughout my trip (not just the first few days) and these photos convinced me that my pup was having just as much fun as I was. Ron is a primary school teacher which is an occupation that I have much respect for and is illustrative of his good character. Ron also has a love of plants which is evident in his beautiful green yard with lots of shady places for dogs to rest and play. I was also very pleased that Ron has a dog door that my 20 pound schnauzer was able to fit through easily for constant back yard access. Overall, I do not think there is a better choice for small dog boarding in Tucson. My pup actually seemed sad to leave Ron and his poodle Lily. It was a great opportunity for my dog to socialize and play with another well trained dog. My dog came back happy, well exercised and without a trace of anxiety. In conclusion, Ron is a kind, intelligent, and caring animal lover. I would not hesitate to board my much loved miniature schnauzer with him next time I go on vacation. Ron's tranquil home and general attitude make the experience a vacation for your pet.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was a kid. I finally adopted my own 13 years ago as puppies and rescued 2 in 2021. They are all senior dogs now with special needs- diet and medical. My one is diabetic and requires 2 injections a day. They all take medication and follow a schedule. I work from home which allows me to care for my four dogs. I have the ability to help others at this time and would love to make sure their pets are well cared for. I know how challenging it was to find care for our boys when I didn’t work from home. I care for someone’s pet as they ask me too and as I do my own. No feeding food they aren’t allowed (treats that aren’t authorized), hand feeding if necessary, plenty of potty breaks in the backyard to run (my dogs prance) and roll in the grass. I have beds and blankets for them to choose from and cuddle time on the sofa too.

About: Hello! I am a stay at home mom which means I am pretty much always home and available to help you with your pet related needs. Currently I have an 11 month old lab retriever who is very friendly and playful. I also have 2 kids who love playing with animals too! They help feed and pick up poop 🙌I know it can be scary when trying to find someone to look after your fur babies but I hope I can make the experience easy and pain free. I can send pictures or respond to texts frequently and give any updates you would like. Things I will ask about your dog: how do they get along with other dogs and children? Obviously my kids and dog are my #1 priority so I can only have pets who get along well with other animals and little kids. Some animals get really skittish around little ones so they wouldn't be a good fit for me. Does your dog have toy or food aggression\territorial? This is important so I know if I need to feed pups separately or put up any toys. Please note- boarding rates are based on 24 hour increments for example if you drop off at 10 AM they should be picked up by 10 AM. If you are late then late fees will apply and need to be paid before pick up. For example $15 if 2 hours late and daycare fee will apply if over 4 hours. If you're running late please communicate with me! I'm a stay at home mom and homebody so I am available often. I do vacation to California quite often but I will try to keep my schedule as updated as possible! I have a fenced in backyard, an 11 month old puppy who is very playful and entergetic, I also have kids who love to cuddle and love on your puppies too! Boarding will require your dog to be crate trained for sleeping! This means they can't whine or bark in their cages all night! If they do bark\whine all night I will add a fee of $10 per boarding night.

About: I am currently a first-year veterinary student at the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine, here in Oro Valley, AZ. As a student, I work with all kinds of animals, from companion animals to reptiles and farm animals! I graduated with my bachelor's degree in pre-veterinary science from Arizona State University in 2025 and hope to graduate with my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2028. - I've been an animal lover since I was a child! I've worked in veterinary clinics as a veterinary assistant throughout undergrad so I have a lot of experience with all kinds of pets. I love pet-sitting through Rover as a de-stressor from school, as animals always make me happy :) - Meet and Greets are a must before our first booking to ensure I’m a good fit for you and your pet(s). - Lastly, pet safety is my priority at all times. I ensure that homes are left in the same original condition as upon arrival and lock up according to the owner’s instructions. I am currently a full time professional student doing Rover on the side to help pay off my student loans! - I still have school over the summer! My classes are from Monday-Friday. The times we have are variable for each day and are range from 8am-5pm. - Drop-ins/dog walking: We usually have a 1-hour break at 11am where I can stop by if you live close to my school, or I can come when classes are over for the day. - House-sitting: I am fully available to house-sit on weekends, but I have classes on weekdays. I can send you updates with photos as often as you'd like so that you feel confident that they are in good hands. I will reliably follow the directions you provide for me, making sure your pet feels safe & secure. - Please provide specific instructions for pet and home care, including safety protocols in your home. Otherwise, I am careful to not disturb anything inside your home and will ensure your home is locked up properly.
About: Our family's schedule allows us to be home most of the time, aside from occasional errands, so your pet will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and care. While we don't currently have pets of our own by choice, we truly enjoy caring for animals and would love the opportunity to become an extended part of your family. I understand that every pet is different, and that they like to stick to their routine-especially if their owner is away. Whatever your pet needs (specific feeding times, their favorite walking route, toys, etc.) I will be able to provide! In my home, I own two dogs- one pug (Bella) and one lab (Penny.) For their safety I do not bring client's animals into my home, but since I own my own dogs, I know how important it is to trust whoever is taking care of them. When letting someone into your home and around your animals, I understand first-hand how important safety is on both ends. I have nannied and pet sat professionally since I was 16 and am now 21, and I can assure you that safety and respect for your pets and your home are my top priority.
About: I have had dog and cats of my own from childhood to adult. I grew up with cats and continue to care and love our friends kitties. Unfortunately a family member is allergic so I don't get to have them in my home but love to play with them in yours. We have had Australian Shepperd mixes, cattle dogs, mutts, and pugs. When our old pugs died, we decided to just foster or pet sit. We fostered pugs and pug mixes for 3 years and continue to volunteer our time with the rescue organization. We pet sit for friends and house and pet sit through another service. I love to cuddle and play with all the furr-babies. A loved, exercised dog or cat, is a happy pet. I also have no problem with older animals who need medication or shots. I have done all of this and am comfortable with minor animal care. Can't wait to care for your babies. I am retired but do volunteer and attend other activities during the day and the evening. Some of this is flexible to meet your needs. I can stay in your home or drop by for feeding and walks, whatever fits your needs. You can book either a drop in or an overnight stay. I would keep your dogs and cats in your own home. Dogs and cats are typically more comfortable and behaved in their own surroundings. I would follow any safety rules you have established for your pets. I can keep small to medium potty, and preferably crate-trained, dogs in my home.

He had never seen a horse before but learned to walk alongside one and also alongside their buggy pulled by a miniature horse! Going to Lara’s is like sending your dog to a 5 star resort. (I kind of wanted to stay at their beautiful home and property myself!) It was a comfort to know that Clancy was well cared for. I cannot recommend Lara enough! Clancy will be going back!”

“We needed someone to watch our older dog while we were away for a week. Being new to the area we really didn't know anyone and we wanted our dog to be in a home environment where she wouldn't be alone. My wife found Cynthia on Rover and we went over to meet her. We were immediately impressed by the secure yard and surroundings. Our dog immediately bonded with her little dog Chewey. To make sure, we arranged two "play days" to make sure that all went well. Everything went better than expected and I, being an overly protective pet parent, felt at ease with leaving our dog for a week. I had nothing to worry about. Cynthia took great care of our dog, sent us regular updates including pictures and videos. She let our dog settle-in at her house where ever our dog felt most at ease and took her out for regular walks and time in the yard. When we came back we found that our dog had such a good time that I'm not sure she wanted to leave! Needless to say that Cynthia will be our first choice to watch our dog whenever the need arises! Your dog will be in good hands.”
