Since Moose occasionally communicates through interpretive dance and questionable life choices, I relayed the detailed care instructions. Julie took it all in stride. Every day she sent adorable pictures along with a little update about what Moose had been up to. It was such a comfort knowing he wasn’t just being watched—he was genuinely being cared for and enjoying himself. Those daily updates made being away so much easier. About: I’ve had a Yorkie named Cooper since I was young and he currently lives with my parents back in Cleveland. I love dogs so much and I believe you should take care of dogs like you do your kids! I work fully remote, so I will be at home and play with the dogs all day! I will show them love and be able to feed them and take them to the bathroom whenever they need it! I also have a dog park at my apartment and a park in walking distance! I will play or walk the dogs whenever they need it, I love to exercise and move around! They will never not be shown love!

Because of the setup here, pups do need to be comfortable being in a kennel/crate at times. If your dog isn’t fully kennel trained yet (like a young puppy), that’s totally okay — I just ask that they can go into a kennel without any aggressive behavior so everyone stays safe. While your dog is staying with me, they’ll enjoy: ✨ A little bit of training and structure woven into their routine ✨ Learning manners and practicing calm behavior ✨ Daily enrichment and exercise ✨ Plenty of love, playtime, and cuddles ✨ Daily updates so you know how they’re doing My goal is to make boarding feel less stressful and more like a safe, structured staycation where your dog is cared for like family. The only times I’m briefly away are for church on Sunday mornings (about 9:30–10:30) and the gym on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings for about an hour. During those short times, all dogs are safely kenneled with fresh water, A/C, and cameras for monitoring, so they’re always safe and comfortable. Your dog’s safety and comfort come first. I have a secure fenced yard and kennel space in my house. Dogs staying with me do need to be comfortable being kenneled at times, or at least able to go into a kennel without aggression (puppies still learning are absolutely fine!). While boarding here, dogs enjoy structure, manners practice, daily enrichment, exercise, and lots of love — plus daily updates so you feel at ease while you’re away.

About: I LOVE animals, I have a dog and birds who I have been taking care of since I was a kid. I have experience pet sitting for family and friends, so I am very comfortable taking care of animals. I have always been the type of person who hangs out with the dog instead of people at parties, so spending time with animals makes me genuinely happy! You can be assured that your pet(s) will be safe with me. I give periodic written updates with photos, I follow instructions carefully, I take attentive notes about your pet from your description and my own observations, I am focused and attentive when caring for your pet(s), and I respond promptly to messages. For pet sitting in your home, I am very tidy/respectful and will leave your home as clean as when I arrived, and I stay in only the designated area(s) and only touch what I need to (please show me where you keep cleaning supplies and your pets’ food or medications, etc.). I pick up after your pet and bring my own dog waste bags, leads, collapsible water bowl, and first aid kit, just in case. About our pets at home: My husband and I have two wonderful cats (1 adopted, 1 we rescued) and two wonderful dogs (adopted by us from the humane society after they were rescued from dire situations, respectively; one of which is a tripod and one is a disabled senior that wears diapers) -- I gravitate especially towards rescues and seniors that need a little extra care, and I especially love cats. I’m a transparent and thorough communicator, and I’ll let you know of any prior commitments that I may have during a house stay request. I also do real-time check-ins/updates, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing, what we’re up to, and when I am present and when I leave your home. My day-to-day work/school is remote and flexible, so I can choose my own hours and follow your pet’s daily routine (waking/sleeping/feeding, etc.), and give them lots of both active, attentive quality time (undivided attention playing with them, walking them, petting them, brushing them, caring for them, etc.) and hangout time (for example, sitting on the couch together). Whenever possible, I can take short-notice and same-day requests. I have evening classes most weekdays for ~2-4 hours, depending on the day, and occasional performances on weekends, but typically no other scheduling commitments from May to September annually. From September through May (9 months, Fall to Summer), I am unavailable Saturdays and some Fridays (mostly First Fridays) due to our performance schedule. For a healthy pet that can be safely left alone, I still always spend as much time with them as possible and only leave the house for meals (and/or can bring food) and/or class, an occasional errand, depending on how long the stay is. I arrive well-prepared to minimize the need to exit the home. I will discuss my availability and your pet's needs in detail before accepting a booking to be sure it is mutually a good fit. For any booking, your pet’s care and safety is my primary responsibility and I take my duty of supervision and care with the utmost seriousness (don’t worry, I’m also fun!). I also care deeply for their emotional well being, so while I have to be realistic about my own schedule and needs (my classes, the need to eat, etc.), I don’t leave them unattended or lonely for any longer than I have to. In your home or on a dog-walk, I will give your pet(s) my full attention to their safety, well-being, and happiness. I am consistent and committed to staying up to date on the latest behavioral and scientific/medical knowledge. I am thorough and I carefully follow directions and will ask for clarification if needed to ensure I am prepared for your pet's specific care. I am experienced and knowledgeable, and you can trust me in your home and with your precious pets. If they have a special need that I am not qualified for handling or have experience with, I will be honest and not overstate my skills (I want your pet to be in great hands with the best fit possible as much as you do). I am gentle, calm, and kind, and can also be silly/fun/playful/energetic, or very quiet; I try to adapt to your pet’s personality, comfort, and needs. I've worked with a range of pets, from quiet seniors and calm cats to rambunctious puppies, giant-breeds, and anxious pets. And while I love them all, I most especially gravitate towards cats, seniors, and differently-abled pets. I unfortunately cannot care for your pets in my own home (such as daycare or pet sitting in my home) because I have four of my own at home with special needs and routines. About: I’ve had a Yorkie named Cooper since I was young and he currently lives with my parents back in Cleveland. I love dogs so much and I believe you should take care of dogs like you do your kids! Our Shepsky hasnt been with us an entire year yet so while she is a good girl, we were reserved wondering if she would feel comfortable and how she'd settle in around strangers. Within a few hours I got a couple of the pictures I needed. Belly up on the couch with some good people and good pets. Rachael seems to know dogs well but is incredibly humble which I believe is SUPER important when it comes to keeping dogs safe and not making assumptions. When our dog was returned to us she was tired and even more friendly and settled in than when we dropped her off. I can tell she was spoiled! Upon eye contact she is now gushing and loving up on people. (Sorry, have to add: she was a day away from euthanasia when I picked her up at the shelter and to see her leave Rachael's home a happy, perfect little princess made me cry) So thankful for Rachael's care!”
About: I’ve fostered and rescued cats and dogs for a few years now , every since I was a kid I would bring in strays and help them . I’ve also pet sat for friends and family for a few years as well :) I currently have a job were I make my own schedule so my availability is very open !
