In October 2021, we adopted and welcomed our own four-legged family member, Shyla, an American Terrier. She’s been an incredible addition to our lives and absolutely loves making new furry friends. Shyla has a friendly and welcoming nature, and she’s yet to meet a dog she doesn’t get along with. Whether your dog is playful or prefers a calm companion, we’re confident they’ll feel right at home with us and Shyla. We both work hybrid schedules with our full-time jobs, which gives us the flexibility needed to care for your pup. We typically schedule our work commitments between 10am-3pm, so we aim to have drop-offs and pick-ups outside of those hours. However, with prior communication, we can typically accommodate different times as needed. The great thing is that there are two of us, so we always have more hands on deck, and one of us is almost always home or near home to ensure your pet gets the attention and care they need. At our home, we have a fenced-in backyard with high brick walls where your dog is welcome to roam and play safely. We believe in maintaining your dog’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure, so please share any specifics about their habits. I have always loved animals, so this sounded like a great opportunity to make a little extra money and to do what I love. I have experience taking care of dogs as small as a Chihuahua to as big as a Great Dane. I currently do not have any pets. In the past 2 years I have lost my cats who I had for 16 and 18 years. Also in the past I have owned dogs, cats, parakeets, and beta fish. I love all animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, potbelly pigs, snakes and lizards, etc. Please pick me to care for your pets and/or fur babies. I promise to give them lots of love and attention! My kids are good around animals. They especially love cats and dogs! We make sure that they pet them gently. If the animal seems upset or irritated we make sure our kids do not pet them. I require a meet and greet before booking a request. I also would like to only watch dogs that are house trained and at least 2 years of age. I do watch 2 dogs at a time, but only if they are from the same household and smaller. I am a stay at home mom so most of my time is spent at home. My kids and I will give your fur baby plenty of attention. I have a gated patio and a fenced in side yard that wraps around to the back of the house. Your pet will be perfectly safe in my yard and at my house.

About: I have had the ability to have 2 small shelter rescue dogs, Neptune and Apollo. Neptune is no longer with us, but he and Apollo were both well trained and loved life. She was welcoming and the experience was positive throughout - even when she told us my dog Sydney was a little homesick. She sent regular updates, including pics of Sydney & Rocket throughout their stay. In addition, she was very accommodating with both the drop off and pickup times. “Alani and her family took great care of my dogs. My oldest dog is blind and has diabetes. He needs insulin every 12 hours; nonetheless, Alani handled him very well. Both of my dogs typically come home after being boarded at a dog hotel with some weight loss, but with Alani that was NOT the case. 10/10 dog sitter.”
