About: Hi! I’m a dependable and caring animal lover based in Huntsville. I’ve had dogs as pets in the past, so I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and attentive to care for them. I’ve also personally used Rover for my own pets’ care, so I know what pet owners are hoping for when they leave their animals with someone else: clear communication, reliability, patience, and genuine kindness. I work in education, which has made me calm, responsible, flexible, and very attentive to individual needs and routines. Whether your pet is energetic, anxious, playful, shy, or just wants a calm companion nearby, I’m happy to meet them where they are and help them feel comfortable and safe. I’m comfortable following feeding schedules, medication instructions, walking routines, and any specific care requests. I also love sending updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away. Your pets are family, and I’ll care for them with the same attention and respect I would want for my own. I am a teacher so I am at home for the summer. Your pet will have many opportunities to go outside during the day in a fenced yard, we can play in the yard, and we will have time for two walks a day. When pets are at my home, they can make themselves comfortable! They are allowed on all the furniture, I have a large screened in porch, and there is a fenced yard. I spend most of my day at home, so they will have company and time to go outside.
“Knight thoroughly enjoyed his first nights away from home with Jamie. He took several days for his energy to return after a play filled weekend with Dunkel ?. Jamie sent picture updates daily and responded practically immediately whenever I had questions/concerns. We will definitely place Knight with Jamie for future needs. Thanks Jamie!!”

“Haley was so accommodating to our dog. She sent frequent updates with pictures and videos. It was our dogs first time getting boarded so I was a little nervous , but my anxiety went away with Haley.”

“Belinda and James went the extra mile to make our anxious dog feel comfortable. We truley felt like they treated her as one of there own. We looked forward to all of the messages and pictures they sent to us while we were away.”

“Barbara and Keith are prepared and thorough dog sitters! They have an outdoor space setup to keep pets out of the dirt and weather, but entertained and active. They took our bernedoodle on multiple walks a day and played games with her. We had a meet and greet prior to our pet’s stay and I received pictures and communication while she was there. Great care and peace of mind!”

“Dalia is outstanding and our go-to sitter in town. She lovingly cared for our two girls and they feel at home with her. Dalia’s experience and personal care is apparent in the way she handles our pups. She gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Can’t rate her high enough!”

“Steven and his family were the best! We had never left our pups at anyone else’s house before and they had the best time. He took several pictures every day so we could see our babies. Our one Aussie is very shy and he warmed right up. I feel like they had a vacation right along with us. They were definitely spoiled. 😂 I will be using Steven again no doubt.”

“Shume was fantastic! We had never used Rover before, but all of our usual dog watchers were unable to accommodate a last minute trip we needed to take. We found Shume on Rover and she was able to accommodate us. She was very communicative and responsive. Our dog loved her, and seemed very comfortable with her. When we picked her up, she was healthy, happy, and safe! We highly recommend Shume to care for your fur babies.”

“My Mila Jean had a great time, especially getting lots of outside time to play, and was well taken care of. Annie is a kind and wonderful sitter with great accommodations for your fur baby’s stay!”

“Jenn was AMAZING. We had our 3 dogs stay with her at once and she handled them with such grace and ease. She sent us pictures and videos during their stay and they seemed very relaxed when we returned. She even washed their bowls for them!! Jenn will be our go-to for all future trips!!”

“Lindsey and John are fantastic. They went out of their way to send us many updates with pictures and videos while we were out of town! They treated our sweet puppy like she was their own. I recommend John and lindsey to anyone looking for someone to take care of the furry friend! Freya is already missing them!”

About: Hi I’m Hailie, I have 2 ferrets who have their own room in my home. I also have a fur baby named flounder! I’m a dog lover with 4+ years of hands-on experience in doggy daycares and grooming salons, and I currently work part-time at a daycare. Basically—I speak dog fluently 🐶 I’m used to all kinds of pups, from high-energy goofballs to shy or anxious dogs who need a calm, patient approach. Whether your dog is staying in my home or heading out for a walk, they’ll get lots of attention, structure, and love! What you can expect: • 🐾 A safe, comfy home environment • 🐾 Walks, playtime, and plenty of affection • 🐾 Someone who understands dog behavior and body language • 🐾 Updates & photos so you can relax while you’re away I treat every dog like they’re my own (yes, that includes talking to them like a best friend). Can’t wait to meet your pup! 🐾 Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. I currently work part-time at a dog daycare, so my day naturally revolves around caring for dogs, understanding their needs, and making sure they’re safe and happy. On days I’m home, I structure my schedule around the pets in my care—making time for walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention. For boarding, dogs in my home get a consistent routine with regular potty breaks, exercise, and a calm, comfortable environment. My home is a calm, clean, dog-friendly space where your pup can relax and be themselves. I stick to their normal routine as much as possible—feeding, potty breaks, walks, all of it—so they feel comfortable and settled!
“Fantastic! Went above and beyond making sure we knew everything was going well with our cats. Took plenty of photos, even got our mail for us. 10/10, will be scheduling with her next time we need exceptional care for our pets!”
“Taylor took wonderful care of our two cats while we were away, including our blind and elderly cat, Taffy. Normally when we come home, Taffy is disoriented and upset—but this time, she was totally at ease. Taylor sent us photos every day, which gave us such peace of mind. She was kind, reliable, and clearly cared for them like her own. We’re so grateful and would absolutely book again!”

About: I have had many cats over the years and currently care for about five of my own, along with several neighborhood strays that I feed and watch over. I’ve even had stray cats give birth in my garage, so I’m familiar with caring for newborn kittens and supporting mama cats during those early, delicate stages. I’m comfortable with all aspects of feline care—from feeding and deep-cleaning litter boxes to brushing, playtime, and administering medication—as long as the cat is calm and cooperative during the process. For safety reasons, I will need to decline if a cat becomes aggressive or extremely fearful when being medicated. I’ve been bitten before and have experienced infections, so I understand the risks of cat scratch disease and Pasteurella. Your cat’s well-being and my safety are both top priorities. I will also make any needed accommodations for cats on special diets and will follow your feeding instructions to the best of my ability. Whether your cat needs specific food prep, scheduled meals, or separate feeding from other pets, I’ve got it covered. What sets me apart is my genuine love for cats, years of hands-on experience, and a strong attention to detail. I go the extra mile to make sure every cat in my care feels safe, relaxed, and truly at home—just like I do for my own.

About: My wife and I both grew up with pets and lovingly cared for our dog and two cats for over 17 years before they crossed the rainbow bridge. We recognize that each pet has their own unique needs, and are patient and responsive to ensure they are well cared for. I work from home full-time and my wife works from home part-time. Between the two of us, we are available to provide dogs with two short walks and one long walk a day and make sure they have plenty of food and water - and of course plenty of cuddles if they like that. Our home offers a clean and calm environment for any pet adjusting to a new place temporarily. Any well behaved pet is free to roam throughout the main rooms, and we have a fenced in backyard for dogs that like to be outside. We can accommodate any dietary restrictions and feeding patterns you have. If you prefer for your pet to be in a crate, we can set that up as well. We also have a well behaved six year old daughter who adores animals. We also do in-home visits and can do any feeding, walking, and litter box cleaning as needed.
“I recently left my 3-month-old Goldendoodle puppy, Willie, in Fortune’s care, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! She provided a loving and safe environment, and made sure that Willie was well cared for throughout his stay. Her communication was excellent—I always felt informed and reassured. It’s clear that she truly loves what she does, and I would absolutely recommend her services to anyone looking for quality pet care. I’ll definitely be using her again! 🐶✨”

About: I’m 31 years old, a single mom, and the owner of Daisy’s Creative Cuts & Colors LLC, as well as a REALTOR and photography business owner. I have a genuine love for animals, and because I spend a lot of time at home, I’m able to be with them almost all of the time. I can groom the dogs in my care so they go home fresh and clean, and I also work on light training while they’re with me. This is my career, and I take great pride in the work I do. I’m willing to care for dogs that others may turn away, because I truly believe dogs are incredibly intelligent and intuitive animals. I see dogs and cats as very special, and I treat every fur baby as if they were my own. If you choose me to care for your pet, you won’t regret it. I also love meeting my dogs’ families, I’ve met some amazing people and formed long-term friendships through this journey. I spend plenty of time with my animals I keep since I work from home a lot. I update you on how they are through the day as well. I have a fenced in yard. We will be outside most of the time. We go for walks and to the park. I also send pictures everyday so you can feel closer to your fur babies.
About: I have hands on veterinary assisting experience, strong understanding of animal behavior, and my ability to care for a wide range of species not just dogs and cats. I’m comfortable supporting pets with structure and routine. I have experience caring for neonate puppies who need consistency and extra monitoring, as well as senior pets who require patience, and gentle handling. I’m also confident handling large and powerful breeds. Pet care is already a central part of my daily life. I run an online freeze-dried raw pet treat business and spend most of my time working from home or actively caring for animals. At home, I spend a great deal of time with my own dogs through structured activities like long wooded walks, socialization, and desensitization work. I also work with clients who need support with whelping and early puppy care. I provide structured, calm care with safety as the priority. Dogs are supervised during free time and I believe in crate training as a positive tool for rest and security. Feeding is done separately to respect space, followed by quiet crate time after meals to help prevent bloat. Once rested, dogs return to supervised free time.

About: I have owned and taken care of pets ever since I was 9 years old. I have trained my last 3 dogs that I have and two of them live with me now. I also make homemade dog treats for my two babies so I know exactly what it is they are consuming. I am a part time baker and work mostly during the mornings so I would be able to see your pet in the morning before i have work and be able to come home a little after lunchtime to take them out, take them on walks/runs. I can also be there overnight to insure their safety and keep them from making a mess. I have a fenced in back yard and two very friendly dogs. one is 3 years old and the other is almost 1. I have a big back yard so enough room for the dogs to run around and have fun playing with one another! I love taking dogs out for walks. I know not everyone has a fenced in back yard or one in general so taking dogs on walks and allowing them to get out there and blow off some energy. I also make homemade dog treats for my animals so I know they aren't consuming things that can cause health problems down the road. I also have allergy tested both my dogs so that way I know what treats I am making them are for their consumption.
“Taylor is great. She says hello to Marshmallow and loves on him every time she comes over to walk him. Marshmallow gets excited when he sees her and he only gets excited for food.”

About: I am a college student at Auburn University looking to pet-sit over the summer. I've been pet-sitting since I was 13, and I have plenty of experience pet and house sitting. About: An animal lover of all shapes and sizes, I’ve grown up around animals all my life. I have been professionally pet sitting for almost two years, and during this time have amassed many different breeds and knowledge of their behavior during this time! My birth family primarily owned cats, including a diabetic old grump and kittens, and I’m generally known as a “cat whisperer”! Later on, my grandparents and I adopted a toy poodle named Pierre, who eventually developed diabetes as a senior, which we had to medicate. After he passed away we adopted our standard poodle, Isabelle, who was my soul puppy. She unfortunately passed away in January of 23 after a long struggle with pancreatic cancer, so I’m accustomed to providing all sorts of medical care as well as extremely customized diets and medication schedules. And right now my family and I are raising another standard poodle- Nova! She’s 2, and the light of my life. I raised and trained Nova and Isabelle, so I’m used to the puppy stage also. I’ve also grew up around fishkeeping & small animals of all kinds, and as a high-schooler/adult I’ve been a reptile/amphibian keeper. Specifically, I’ve owned hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, frogs, axolotls, snakes, geckos, chameleons, hermit crabs, and a hedgehog. While I have not personally owned birds, I’m very knowledgeable in their care also! This is currently my job! I am in college and attend class Mondays and Wedsnesdays 11-2. Next spring semester has classes Monday&Wedsnesday from 11-2, and Tues/Thurs 11-12:30 Depending on the dog, we’ll spend the day relaxing or playing and at the end of the day we’ll be all tuckered out. Your pups safety and wellbeing is always my top priority! I will follow any instructions given and provide frequent updates & pictures. I am also well-versed in pair dynamics & anxious dogs!
