About: I’ve had cats since I was a baby. I had a diabetic cat who also had seizures. I nursed her basically back to health and she lived 5 more years after her first seizure. She was 19 years old when she finally passed. My whole family has had cats all my life. Every fur animal has a different personality that you just have to learn.

My own pets pile on me the second I sit down. I've never had a pet pass the rainbow bridge before the age of ten. About: Homeport - Indoor accommodation for your pet with large wooded lot on a private road in Harris County. A large deck to lay in the sunshine on pretty afternoons. Indoors we have an open floor plan that the pets are free to roam in. The pets are free or crated overnight based on your preference. We have a 7 pound Yorkie Poo who gets along with our houseguests, dogs or cats! We should have a meet and greet prior to them checking in at Homeport. We can schedule a meet and greet at my home for you and your pup to meet me and I y’all. I’ll be very flexible on the schedule of that. I walk them twice a day if your babies are accustomed to leash walking and have them out on the deck with other guests for playtime twice a day. You will receive at least one picture of their romping or napping everyday. I charge by the calendar day. The day you pick up (or I pick up) your pet and the day you drop off (or I drop them off) are both days that I have to accommodate you and your pet into my schedule and pet care is provided.I offer the service of taking your pet home the day of your arrival so that they will be there when you arrive home. Please let me know when you make your reservations what times you wish to schedule for pickup/drop-off and give me at least 24 hours notice if you need to make changes. If your dog is not fully house trained or has any accidents during their stay there is a $5 per day charge. All pets must be neutered and spayed. They must be dog friendly. For your protection, all pets are screened prior to acceptance. If pets are not picked up by closing they will board over night at owners expense. All pets will be checked for fleas and ticks. When we later brought home a puppy, I took on much of the responsibility for raising and caring for it. The puppy stayed with me in my room, so I was responsible for feeding, supervising, helping with potty training, keeping a consistent routine, and making sure it felt safe and comfortable as it grew. I don’t like to leave my baby for more than 4-5 hours max. That’s why I offer going to drop in 3 times. I don’t mind traveling to make sure your fur baby is taken care of throughout the day. I can take your fur baby walking giving them water and some love. If you have a fenced in yard I will still go and watch them outside you never know what could happen. About: I’ve been around and caring for dogs for more than 20 years. My love and experience with dogs started at home—my dad was a dog trainer who worked with his own dogs as well as dogs belonging to friends and family. About: I’ve been a “dog person” (personally & now professionally) all my life, and have experience with big and small pups of all breeds, ages, and energy levels. I work at the vet school and have lots of home/yard space, time, and a social dog of my own that would happily welcome your fur baby! On weekdays, I either wfh or go into the office just 5mins away, so I’m always able to come home midday for potty breaks. I’m an active dog mom & love to walk around the neighborhood or nearby trails, but also have a large private fenced yard and a million toys if your dog prefers to get exercise that way. I also love & welcome the couch potatoes - all furniture is open for lounging and cuddles. I have been fostering & training dogs for the last 15 years and have basic medical training - so if your pup has any special considerations just reach out to discuss! My life pretty much revolves around my own dog, with a regular feeding/potty/play/lounging schedule, so guests would fit right into that routine. My schedule is very flexible & pups are never left alone for more than a few hours at a time. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space to zoom and sniff around. I have a ~2yr old mixed breed dog (Mac) who is extremely social and loves making people/dog friends. He is playful, but often goes to dog parks and seems to adapt to whatever energy level the other dogs are, so he’s adaptable & loves chill time just the same.
