“We connected with Dorian for the first time recently, and are delighted to report that everything worked out well. Dorian stayed at our house for a week while taking care of our 2 kitties. He met both cats prior to our trip, and they (the cats) approved. All indications are that he was able to make friends with them despite the fact that they have been leary of strangers. They enjoy a catdoor, which they use extensively, and he was here for them even when they weren't around. Communiation with Dorian was strong and the house was left in very good condition Although our cats were very happy to have us back, they didn't appear to be stressed, as opposed to their reaction to some other sitters we have had. We will definitely contact Dorian again when the occasion arises. Hopefully he'll still be available.”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I’ve spent years caring for pets for friends and family. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. About: Hi! Both my husband and I have grown up in Alaska helping care for small chihuahuas all the way up to wolf-hybrids. We are a fun and loving couple with 2 small doodles of our own, 3 stories of house to play in, a small backyard/potty area, and located right next to a doggy park. We can’t wait to meet your furry friend! I work from home permanently, so I am able to provide care all day long for your fur baby. While I work, typically my two doodles spend their time snacking and watching TV! Once the work day is up, to the park we go! I have two miniature sized doodles to keep your dog company. Additionally, we have many toys available to play with, ample treats, and a small backyard area for potty with an additional park right next door. Both of my doodles are fixed and crate trained. :)

About: i had 3 dogs in my life. 2 of the dogs i had. i had since i was born. then i adopted another dog in 2014. wanting to adopted more dogs in the future. i have dogsit before in the past 3 years before i knew about rover. i love and adore dogs. i cant imagine life without one. Dogs are everything to me. Having dogs around get me outside more and walking more. i have trained my 3 dogs. so i know a tiny bit about trainging them. I do live in an apartment in the 3rd floor on the top. If the dog needs it I can carry him/her up and down the stairs no issue at all. Make sure to take your time to read and make sure your 100% sure to want to book with me before you click book. i currently dont have a job. i would make dog sitting a part time job for right now. i have alot of time to care for a dog. i give the pet alot of play time. i give the pet bathroom breaks as much as needed. i walk the pet like an hour or 2. ill feed the pet when he or she needes it. of course ill him or her water. ill give the pet as much exercise as he or she needs. The dog must have a leash for me to watch them i would have the pet come over to my apartment. im around a place where i can take the dog on a long or short walk. the apartment im at is very pet friendly. I say you would have to bring your pet to me at my apartment.

About: My husband and I lost our great Pyrenees a few months ago. :( We have an older shihtzu and would like to watch another dog because our dog is getting older and does not like to hike anymore. She does enjoy her walks tho. We like all types of dogs as long as they are well behaved and get along with cats and other dogs. Our home is 2,800 sq ft and we have a 10,000 sq ft yard. We can only host 2 dogs max at a time so your dog will be well taken care. We prefer only one at a time tho since we also have a cat . I am currently working part time but work from home most of the time. My husband also works from home . We walk our dog 2 -3 times a day. We like to hike and during the summer and in winter we walk the trails that are right next to our home. I have a fenced yard , but can also crate your baby if you prefer. We have everything needed for a big or little dog.

About: Current medical student with so much motivation to get outside with my dog in between studying. I'm also a professional photographer, so expect lot's of photos of your pup! When I was a kid, I always wanted a dog….but we owned everything except a dog due to our lack of a yard. To solve this, I would knock on my neighbors doors to walk and play with their dogs everyday. About: During my childhood I often spent time with my grandmother and her pack of boxers. Now I have a Boston Terrier named Jack. I can handle a pack of up to 8 on my own I do currently have a job so I can be a bit busy sometimes. I live with quite a few people, we all help out with caring for the dogs in our care. About: Roughly two years ago, I received a call from a colleague asking to house sit for a weekend after a previous bad experience with boarding two dogs. Both with health issues and one of them not sociable with other dogs. My colleague came back to a clean home, garden watered, mail organized and the dogs very well loved and walked everyday. Ever since, I have housesat for anywhere from 48hrs to nearly 30 days at a time with zero issues. Bed time rituals, feeding songs, walking a slightly reactive dog, cuddling very closely at night were the priorities at the top of the to-do list. Now that two years have passed since that first call I have decided to try my hand at truly making dog walking/house sitting/drop-in playdates a side gig! I work 12hrs a day, rotating weeks 3 days or 4 days a week. Typically Wednesday/Thursday-Saturday off every week. I am up early most mornings in my time off, can make myself available for late nights Wednesday-Friday as well. In your home, I will follow all requests diligently, check all doors and windows before leaving or before bed. I am MANDT de-escalation trained, CPR/BLS certified and will soon be training to further my EMS-adjacent skillsets. In emergencies, I understand the importance of prioritizing the fur babies and keeping them out of harm’s way.

About: I am a Certified Veterinary Technician with many years of experience in the veterinary field and a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, giving me a strong background in animal care and behavior. I have raised and cared for dogs for over 20 years and love playing, walking, pottying, and spending quality time with them. I am also trained to help animals in emergency situations. My dog, Pico de Gallo, is the love of my life, and I would treat your dog/cat/animal with the same care, patience, and love as if they were my own. I work for myself, so any animal that needs care would be worked into my schedule. I can do stop-ins, walks, play time, anything that is needed for your pets to be taken care of. As my calendar fills up, I ensure the times requested for pets come first before overloading my schedule. I would take care of pets in my clients' homes. I would do potty breaks and ensure the house was not used. I would take the dogs for walks and play with them to burn off some energy before bringing them back home, if the owner allowed it. I would also feed and make sure they drank water before I left, updating the owner on how they are doing. Otherwise, I would utilize the spaces given to me ( a fenced yard, etc.). For cats, I would check in on them and make sure they are fed and watered. i would play with them with their toys and then update their owner on how they are doing.
About: I have 2 puppies, one is a year old and the other is 7 months! I have dog sat my friend’s and family members dogs before I moved to Montana! I haven’t had much experience with cats but I would love to start! I usually walk my dogs twice a day and I feel like walking other dogs during those days would be so fun! I also love to meet different pets :) I clean very well and I love dogs & cats! I haven’t been able to take care of a cat yet but I want to at some point!
About: Ive had dogs in my life for just about all of it. I figured why not walk dogs and make some side cash while I walk around. Taking care of pets and walking dogs is more of just a part time thing I'm doing to pass the time and get to hang out with animals. Before I moved to Anchorage my family had 4 dogs that I took care of on a daily basis. I always make sure the dog is secured to a lease before I bring them out. Currently on a part time seasonal schedule with more time going to be available in the winter. Figured this would be a great way to stay active and outside while going into the winter months I've have plenty of experience with dogs and their care growing up in northwest Alaska. My siblings and I all had dogs growing up from newborn pups to our fathers dog that lived until he was 21.

About: Hi! Like most of us here i’ve been looking after dogs and cats for most of my life. From my own, to family, to friends and roommates pets. Recently i had the experience of looking after an elderly dog for a friend, he was 12 and had a failing hing leg, cataracts and arthritis. His eyes required drops, and pain meds with his food. Walking him was hard, but only to see him struggle, it gave me great joy to be able to give him all of my patience and attention in love in such a difficult time. I recently moved to Anchorage and haven’t been working here yet, taking time to enjoy being able to explore and have fun with winter sports. My schedule is completely open, i have no other obligations at this time, other than taking care of my own pets We have a large backyard here that our dog can run around and play in during the potty breaks, which is great for her as she loves to run. I take Chuli with me for most all of my hikes and drives around the area.
About: I’ve spent my life around animals, including time as a dog mushing handler, so I know how to manage high-energy breeds and diverse personalities. Now, I’m passing those skills down to my 11-year-old daughter, teaching her about pet care. If you need a different time within these days, just message me — I can manually enter custom times and often accommodate outside my listed hours With my background as a former dog mushing handler, safety and structure are my second nature. During check-ins and walks, I use my experience to keep every outing controlled and fun. My 11-year-old daughter assists me as she learns the ropes of pet responsibility, and my one-year-old often joins us in her stroller. Because my girls are a big part of this journey, we only care for dogs who are comfortable and friendly around children and babies. We treat every pet with the same care we give our own family—focusing on fresh water, consistent routines, and lots of positive reinforcement.
