“We adopted a 7-month-old kitten this past summer and none of our usual cat sitters were available for an out of town trip we had scheduled for October 2022. Fortunately, we stumbled upon the Rover service and decided to give it a try. Katie was our first choice and things turned out very well. We booked a 4 night, 5 day stay. Inital communication was prompt and Katie came over to meet the little guy and scope out the house. We were greatly relieved to receive an initial report and picture within a day of our leaving, since we had no idea how our guy would react. About: As a dog owner myself, I’ve had the joy of a furry companion by my side for many years. Additionally, I was a dog bather throughout college and have experience with an assortment of breeds. I enjoy connecting with pets and giving them the chance to get adequate exercise and socialization, especially in Alaskas dark months. I hope that we can find a good fit! I am currently working full time, so most walks and visits will be in the afternoons and evenings! Most weekends are fairly flexible. I do have a young child, so there are some limitations with certain availability. I prefer to check on your critters in their own homes frequently each day giving them plenty of time to run around and play or have some love and companionship. When I check on your pets in their homes I will be sure they have everything they need to be comfortable and safe while I’m away. I will also spend an hour with them to make sure they have plenty of time to do their business outside and get their wiggles out if they need it.
About: I have watched my friends and family’s pups like they’re my own countless times! We always have such a great time. I have one dog, Ricco, who is great with other pups of all sizes and ages. We have a large intended yard that’s great for fetch and trails nearby for walks or runs! I work 7.5hrs per day, MWF I work from home and TR I work in Wasilla. I like to take the fur babes everywhere that I can, just to get them out of the house, even if it’s mundane post office runs or whatever. Per manufacturer’s (owner’s) instructions! Try to keep pets apart when feeding. Let out as often as requested (and feasible per my work schedule). Like to let pets play together if they’re friendly to each other.
About: I’ve had cats most of my life but have also had dogs, fish, birds, hamsters, mice, and guinea pigs! Spiders are the only pets I can’t handle. I’m currently unemployed and haven’t been able to find full time work due to the bus driver strike. So, Monday-Friday I take my high schooler to and from school and am free to take care of people’s fur babies all day and night! I love animals and treat them as my fur babies! I spoil them with attention and make sure they are well taken care of and happy!

About: Spent six years mushing with a recreational team, down to one dog now & just love dogs and skilled at caring for & managing many sorts of dogs. Very active lifestyle and love getting outside and exercising dogs. Pet photos will be sent to the client after our walk. For house boarding & Doggy Day Care: all pets including my own dog, will always be crated upon leaving the home for their own safety. I will only allow dogs to stay in my home upon meeting the dog first, and making sure they're dog friendly and okay with cats. I prefer to keep only one other dog in my home at a time but will make exceptions for the right dogs/fit. dogs are expected to be well behaved in my home and not have destructive or aggressive habits.
About: Growing up I always wanted to be a veterinarian. I still do. I just love the critters! Dogs, cats, lizards, chickens, guinea pigs... They're all fun! I treat your animal like my own. They're allowed up on the couch, on the bed. They ride around in the car with me and go visit friends. Looking forward to our next adventure together! I work part time and make my own schedule. About: I know we all love our pets like they're our own children (which is exactly what they are) I have experience with a wide variety of animals from small rodents to dogs, and I love each and every single one of them. About: Hey all!! I’ve been caring for my own animals;horses,dogs,cats,rabbits,etc for most of my life(30+yrs) I’ve also always been the friend whom everyone asks to care for their furry friend. I went to school to become a veterinary technician and have practiced in animal hospitals for a couple of years but now work seasonally as a wildlife biologist in the Mojave Desert. I love to be active with our pets, whether it’s a short or long walk or I can even take them out in the trails! If they want tons of love and affection, I’ll give it to them. If they are not so social, I can give them their space but still talk to them to let them know they are safe and still being loved, even when their family is not around. Love cats and completely understand them, ha ha! I work a few months in the spring and fall down in the L48 but while I’m home it’s nice to have part time work while also enjoying my outdoor lifestyle. I won’t be staying at homes because I have my 13yo cat who has recently bend diagnosed with kidney failure so am trying to be w her as much as possible. Allowing the animals to feel how they want about me or whatever it is we may or may not do. Most important to me is gaining the trust and confidence and going from there.
