About: I am a musher with 15 dogs, and just finished my rookie Iditarod. Training and exercise plans - assuring each dog gets the right amount of exercise per day and creating “jobs” for the dogs who need that extra task. One of the cats, Herman, is extremely shy and generally hides when strangers come to the house. About: I love taking care of cats. My friends and family fully entrust me in the care of their feline babies. I just love getting to know them and their individual personalities. I've had ones that are so loving and affectionate and I've also had the independent ones that are content to coexist with you, but everything must be on their terms. One time I was cat sitting for a friend while she was on vacation. I immediately noticed when he wasn’t feeling well and was very lethargic. We lived in a very remote area with the nearest vet was a 3 hour drive. I noticed swelling on the top of his head. I was pretty sure it was an abscess. I dug into my background as a medical assistant and was able to gently apply pressure and extract the thick fluid. As soon as I cleared out the infection area, he was back to his normal self. To this day my friend tells the story of how I performed “emergency surgery” on her little friend. While I absolutely realize the number one option is care from a veterinarian, in a pinch, you do what you have to do and he was getting worse and worse each time I checked in on him.

About: We have both had pets our entire lives, until recently. Have experience in medication and senior care needs. We have had both cats and dogs in the home. Most of our animals were rescue critters, with various backgrounds. We have not only taken care of our own pets but watched friends critters when they traveled. Currently one of us is retired and will be able to be with your pet all day, except on occasion when we go out or errands. Both of us are home in the evenings and weekends and are also willing to take your pet with for rides or errands, if allowed. We enjoy daily walks. We do not have a fenced yard but a nice area for walking behind the house. Your pet will always be supervised. We can crate your dog, if needed or requested, but otherwise they will have the run of the house.

I work “bankers hours” so I am free on nights and some weekends depending on my schedule and previous commitments but generally plenty of free time. I am always concerned for my own pets health and happiness and do any and everything I can do to make sure they’re living their best life. I will mostly be free for nights and weekends. I don’t usually plan much, especially in the winter, so I have plenty of free time! My cats have plenty of toys and 2 towers to climb on. They are always fed and watered and are always good for a cuddle.
About: I have taken care of and grew up with dogs, cats, and many other animals since I was 3 years old. They are fenced off in a separate yard, but all are very friendly. If you have a dog that loves to play, we basically have our own dog park right here with lots of friendly dogs! I like to go with the energy of the pups I have in the house- if it feels like a lazy morning, we will relax and cuddle until we are ready to go. I do not have a fenced yard but will be outside with your pups while they are at all times. If you are most comfortable with them remaining on-leash, I will happily leash-walk them for potty breaks.

Most of our animals were rescue critters, with various backgrounds. We have not only taken care of our own pets but watched friends critters when they traveled.
