She’s very punctual and thorough with communication. She sent me plenty of photos to update me about how he was doing. I could definitely tell he had a great time!”
“She was amazing!! She sent so many pictures and videos of my dogs and was so accommodating and understanding of all the changes that occurred while traveling. My dogs came home so happy and it was obvious they were very loved and cared for while I was away.”

“Lauren was fantastic with Willow! She was very accommodating for our short notice trip and sent us photos while we were gone. She was quick to respond to messages, and I hope to be able to book with her again in the future!”

“Koda really seemed to love his time staying with Nathan and Roxanne!! He was so well cared for. We were updated frequently and he had so much fun going on walks and playing. 100% will be booking with them in the future!”

“Kaycee has great options for dogs and mine, with a disability, was lucky to have time near other dogs, be inside to be cozy at night, have puppy energy around, and a safe place overall. He came back happy, well fed, calm, and curious and I trust that I can book for a compassionate stay again in the future.”

About: I’ve been around dogs all my life, including working at mushing kennels and fostering rescue dogs. I’m a confident, active and loving dogsitter I work part time through the winter months and have 2 playful friendly dogs of my own. I work about 10 minutes away, so it is easy to run home to check on the dogs. Dogs are welcome anywhere in my home. During my absence, trust worthy dogs maybe able to sleep on the couch, otherwise they be kenneled or on a dog run in the yard depending on preference. Dogs will have supervised yard time and leash walks, as well as fenced off leash time if suitable. I can feed on any schedule specified.

About: I have been pet sitting for friends and neighbors since I was 12 and am always down to hike with a dog. I love animals of all kinds and have experience with dogs, puppies, cats, fish, and birds. I would be delighted to meet and care for your pets! I am currently completing an internship during normal weekday work hours, so I am available for walks and drop in visits in the mornings, evenings, weekends, and lunch hours if needed. While I cannot currently host pets in my own home, I have years of experience caring for animals in other peoples’ homes and would be careful to follow any specific instructions related to your pet’s care and routines.

About: I have lived with dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, and rodents my entire life, and currently have two dogs, two cats, and a leopard gecko. I love hanging out with animals and look forward to meeting your pups and kitties! I have helped take care of various pets for friends and others, including but not limited to, a pair of elderly dachshunds that had various medical needs, a lovely cat who loves to hand out, and I took home the class ferret nearly every weekend during my senior year. I am very familiar with administering medicine orally to both cats and dogs, and I have provided shots in the past. I personally had to care for my own dog that needed major surgery, and am familiar with animal's warnings and limits. I currently work part-time on an every other week schedule, but can take care of animals between shifts as needed. My husband and I split the care for our pets and make sure all of them get the proper playtime and food they individually need. I follow all instructions provided by the owner and always meet new animals before the owner leaves so that they are familiar with me. I provide food, play with the pets for a bit, and any other requests while in the home.

“Even with very short notice and my elder cat being fresh out of medical emergency and needing special care, Jodi jumped right on board and took great care of cat for four nights. She communicated daily and followed all instructions closely. My cat was very content and I could tell she was well-cared for when I returned. Jodi also left my apartment as tidy as she found it! I would hire her again :)”

About: Please read through my whole profile and make sure I am the correct fit for your pet! I have been dedicated to animal care from a young age, always showing a strong passion for helping animals in need. Over 15 years ago, I began working with rescue dogs while searching for the right dog to adopt. During this time, I adopted my first and third foster dogs, later welcoming a third rescue into my home. I continued fostering dogs until 2018, by which point I was caring for five of my own, along with chickens, goats, horses, ducks, and other animals. Additionally, I volunteered and worked at an animal sanctuary specializing in behavioral modification training, focusing on rehabilitating dogs with the most challenging backgrounds. I am currently employed full-time, working 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday. I base my life around the well being of my companion! I love my dog and his happiness means everything to me. I currently work M-Thurs 10-hour day shifts. I walk my dog on a leash, unless im in an area that is safe for him to be off leash (Chena or Tanan Lake areas.) I do take my dog to the dog park for some socialization as i believe it is very important to keep him social with other dogs and humans. My dog does sleep on my bed. As far as taking care of clients pets, I will respect their wishes with how they want their loved one taken care of.

About: I love taking care of cats. My friends and family fully entrust me in the care of their feline babies. I just love getting to know them and their individual personalities. I've had ones that are so loving and affectionate and I've also had the independent ones that are content to coexist with you, but everything must be on their terms. One time I was cat sitting for a friend while she was on vacation. I immediately noticed when he wasn’t feeling well and was very lethargic. We lived in a very remote area with the nearest vet was a 3 hour drive. I noticed swelling on the top of his head. I was pretty sure it was an abscess. I dug into my background as a medical assistant and was able to gently apply pressure and extract the thick fluid. As soon as I cleared out the infection area, he was back to his normal self. To this day my friend tells the story of how I performed “emergency surgery” on her little friend. While I absolutely realize the number one option is care from a veterinarian, in a pinch, you do what you have to do and he was getting worse and worse each time I checked in on him.

About: We have both had pets our entire lives, until recently. Have experience in medication and senior care needs. We have had both cats and dogs in the home. Most of our animals were rescue critters, with various backgrounds. We have not only taken care of our own pets but watched friends critters when they traveled. Currently one of us is retired and will be able to be with your pet all day, except on occasion when we go out or errands. Both of us are home in the evenings and weekends and are also willing to take your pet with for rides or errands, if allowed. We enjoy daily walks. We do not have a fenced yard but a nice area for walking behind the house. Your pet will always be supervised. We can crate your dog, if needed or requested, but otherwise they will have the run of the house.

About: I know how hard it can be to leave your pup as he looks at you with those eyes as you walk through the door You know the look I'm talking about. Whether you're leaving for the day or a whole week, I would love to hang out with your pup during your time away and give him or her their daily walks, cuddles, playtime, or whatever else they may need. (Available through board and train, or weekend hourly care!) My previous work experience includes working at a doggie daycare center for 2 years, overseeing playtime, swim time, bath time, feeding, and setting up for overnight stays. Through this company I often brought home client's dogs for overnight stays if they did not want their dog staying on the facility campus overnight. I also worked as a veterinary receptionist, quickly moving up within a year, to a manager position. While here I learned a lot about pet diseases, how to best care for them, appropriately administer medications, as well as be able to quickly recognize any problems that may arise in terms of a pets health. I have had dogs since I was a little girl, and currently share my home with an old pittie mix and an energetic malmute puppy! I love dogs of all breeds and sizes and look forward to meeting yours! References available! I With 3 younger kids at home our house is full of energy! My husband and I strive to get the pups out on a walk atleast 1-2 times a day, weather permitting during winter. My kiddos LOVE playing fetch, wrestling, or just snuggling with our client pups, and often enjoy helping feed or tiring them out every day! -Boarding dogs will be kept separate during feeding events (whether on a separate floor of the house, or in a dog crate during feeding time) to prevent altercations between pups. -We have a fenced in 'potty' yard for the pups, otherwise dogs will be leashed when hanging out outside with us or going on a walk. Repeat client pups may be kept off leash after comfortability has been determined and owners have agreed and are comfortable.

“We booked Alana while traveling to the KOA in Fairbanks. Did a pre-meet with Alana the day before our scheduled walks. Alana was very friendly and knowledgeable about dogs. She came 2 days to take our dog out for a walk while we were on tours in the area. She was easy to contact, communicated very well, and even sent pics and the walk they did with notes! Great experience! We would use Alana again if in the area!”

“Kristen has been walking my Alaskan husky for the past few weeks. She’s been super communicative, reliable, and awesome at adapting to my dog’s individual quirks. My dog is particularly shy around new people, but Kristen’s great at trying different things to make him feel more comfortable. It’s clear that she’s skilled in reading and adapting to different dog behaviors.”

“Rhonda saves the day once again! I have times I get called in to work and I’m away for several hrs. Levi loves to have Rhonda walk him or just drop-in when the weathers yucky. Thank you Ms Rhonda! 💕”

“Jodi has been our regular dog walker in town for many months. She is friendly, reliable, and loves the animals. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to feel safe with the person caring for their pets.”

“Nathan and Roxanne were great. They came over and met Buddy the day before. They came and walked him and played with him. I would highly recommend them for anyone who cares for their pet.”

“This was my first time ever using Rover, and needed someone to come help take care of my two dogs at a rental house. Not only did Sofia accept on a couple hours notice, but she went so so far above and beyond and went three seperate times to the house, followed instructions perfectly with no questions, and provided absolutely perfect care to my two dogs. She took them on a big walk, fed them dinner, let them out to play, and provided exceptional communication the whole time. I am so impressed and grateful that I was lucky enough to get Sofia’s help today. 10/10, a million stars, and massive tip for her coming. thank you so much, you are a bright star in a dark world.”

About: I’ve been a dog owner in the past for many years and enjoy walking dogs, playing fetch or just showing them lots of love! I currently have a dog and 2 cats of my own that my parents watch for me while I’m doing a sitting job. I do have some experience with training and teaching commands if needed. I am not able to have your dog at my apartment but am willing to come to you to help any way I can! I am using this service out to make some extra cash but also to appease my animal loving heart as well! :) Your pet(s) will be in good hands with me! I work “bankers hours” so I am free on nights and some weekends depending on my schedule and previous commitments but generally plenty of free time. I am always concerned for my own pets health and happiness and do any and everything I can do to make sure they’re living their best life. I will mostly be free for nights and weekends. I don’t usually plan much, especially in the winter, so I have plenty of free time! My cats have plenty of toys and 2 towers to climb on. They are always fed and watered and are always good for a cuddle.

I live on a 10 acre property and all my animals are trained to be off leash. Currently building a fenced in yard. The sled dogs stay on chains until I let them off- and the cats mostly stay inside. Not a deal breaker if your dog isn’t off leash trained, I have a long lead or leashes that can be used. I feed twice a day but always have fresh water available. Dogs get lots of potty breaks or play time outside. Sometimes they’ll go on a kick ass adventure like the park, trails to run around and play or some recreational mushing. Overall, I’d treat your pet as if it was my own. We have fun and do things safe.

Typically dogs go out in the morning before I leave, get a lunchtime trip outside and will have a longer activity like a walk, swim, or trip to the dog park in the evening.

I am highly safety-conscious, meaning all potentially hazardous materials are securely stored, and exterior doors and windows are strictly monitored to prevent any escapes. I closely supervise all activities and make sure your pet has constant access to fresh water, clean litter boxes, and engaging toys in a totally hazard-free zone.
“Sam was wonderful with Winston, spending time with him and taking him outdoors. She sent photos and videos of our sweet boy everyday and it really comforted us to know he was in such good hands. Thank you Sam!”

“Our dog Steve had a great time with Julie-Ann. She took great care of him and sent at least one picture a day. I highly recommend Julie-Ann and her husband, and we will definitely try to use her again the next time we go out of town.”

“Abigail did awesome with my dog. She took care providing my dog with activities, keeping me updated frequently while I was out of town for work. I will rebook with her and no doubts about it. Highly recommend. Thank you Abigail.”

“Londyn is a wonderful sitter! She and her dog Onyx welcomed my pup into their home and gave him the time he needed to adjust and relax before I departed. She gave a few updates through the duration of his stay and included a couple of pictures each time. Londyn helped us to feel at ease while she watched our pup and I would highly recommend her to anyone. Should we need a sitter again she will definitely be our first choice!”

“Andrea was awesome! We booked with her for a few days and didn’t have any issues. She communicated quickly and consistently kept us updated as well provided pictures. She was also very flexible with the drop off/ pickup times. I would definitely recommend her”
