“Kaitlyn and John took amazing care of my dog while I was away. This was the first time I left her at someone else’s home for an extended amount of time and it seemed as if my dog fit right in with their family and was given so much love and attention. They sent pictures and updates daily and my dog returned to me happy and healthy. I would love to have them watch my girl again next time I am in need of a pet sitter. Highly recommend!”

“Sinead was great with Vincent and sent photos/check-ins almost everyday. This was my first time using Rover and I booked daily check-ins instead of housesitting (what I wanted) so I can’t blame her for not being here as much as I expected but can’t blame her either. I would definitely use her again, just with the clarification up front of what exactly we expect. Overall, Vincent was happy and well taken care of!”

“Shelley was great! I appreciated the daily text updates and she even went out of her way to do things like watering my plants and pulling my garbage cans in off the street. Will definitely use Shelley again in the future!”

“Natalie was amazing! She was so kind and flexible with our plans. She took wonderful care of our pet and supplied terrific pet photos from her visits. Thank you, Natalie!!”

“Jacob was amazing! He took great care of our dog Dex while we were out of town. He took care of everything just as we had discussed and even spent time with our cats during his visits. Our very moody cat who doesn't like many people even liked Jacob. I would without a doubt recommend Jacob to anyone.”

About: Had 2 siamese back in the day and boy were they loud at times but faithful friends and beautiful animals. Rescued a stray in 2010 and come to find out she had hidden 5 kittens, they all ended up staying except one which went to a friend. We named them after the 4 seasons (including Fall and Autumn to give us 5 names). The mom we called Polly. Big fluffy mama cat. There’s only one left now but they all lived good long lives. My ex has the remaining one now.

“Izabelle is Absolutely Wonderful! I would definitely call on her again to care for my cat and my home. She let my 11 year-old rescue cat take his time warming up to her, and eventually had him lounging in her lap. I had to go out of town for a family emergency - Izabelle kept me updated with texts and photos, reassuring me that all was well, and enabling me to focus on my family. I returned to a happy, very well cared for cat and a spotless home!”

“Annika has been a lifesaver as I return to the office three days a week. She is so good with my puppy, and cares for her just as I would. She is super communicative and makes me feel like I am her only client. Highly recommend!”

“Maleah is very consistent, sweet, responsible, great communication and cares for my little elder chihuahua like her own! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a consistent reliable dog walker :)”

About: I’ve been taking care of a couple of kitties pretty routinely for some friends for the last 5 years or so, and before that i was living with a different pair for a couple years. Lulu and Morey are the two i’ve looked after when their parents go on short and long trips, and besides attending to their litter at least once a day, sometimes twice and checking their food dispensers to insure they are working, i’d give them their supplements and play with them.

“Thank you Katy. I love how you got to know my animals. I would trust you to take care of my animals anytime. I did not worry because I knew my cats were well taken care of.”

“Lauren did a phenomenal job taking care of my boys while I was out of town. 10/10 recommend booking her if you’re looking for a great sitter for your pets 😊”

“Alex did daily stop in visits for our two bunnies while we were out of town and did a great job - very communicative and conscientious. And very willing to do extra things like bring in our mail and put our garbage bin out to the curb. I definitely trust her with my pets and we would definitely will hire her again :)”

“Teagan took such good care our little girl Neighla. She was absolutely wonderful and I am sorry she is relocating out of state as I would not hesitate to reach out to her again.”

“Rachel was incredible, I left my kitty for a 12 day international vacation. She ensured that my kitty was well cared for as well as my home. When I returned, my cat was happy and the house was clean. She updated me frequently with pictures and responded promptly if I had questions. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a sitter. Thank you Rachel!”

“Book Margarita! We never met her before we went overseas for almost 3 weeks, and didn't even have to worry about our place or our pet once! You can tell she's good people. Great updates every single visit. Our fussy-britches cat was clearly happy. The litter and food/water stations were inspection ready when we got home. It's soo good to have people you can count on when you need it, at a realistic price.”

About: Ever since I was a toddler, I’ve been around cats. I love cats so much and I feel like I understand them very well! I enjoy feeding, playing, napping, relaxing and talking kitty cats. I also volunteer at a cat shelter every Friday night and had been for about 4 years!

“Sarah was an amazing house sitter. She was great with both of my cats and empathetic to their individual needs. The house was spotless and both cats loved her.”

About: I’ve cared for cats for friends, family, and neighbors and genuinely enjoy being around them. I’m comfortable feeding, cleaning litter boxes, playing with them, and giving them attention while their owners are away. I know every cat is different and try to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for.

“I take my pup here every week for 2 days of doggie daycare and he loves it. They take great care of my pup, he has had minor scratches and they notify me and take care of cleaning. Highly recommend them for day care and overnights”

“Very appreciative of Trey's care for my dog! My dog Willow can be quite loud but she had a great day with her canine friends and I'm grateful for the patience she was shown.”

“Danielle was wonderful from the very start! This was our first time using Rover for Smoky and Danielle provided updates and photos throughout the day, which was very reassuring. Smoky clearly had a wonderful day with her and was exhausted when he got home! Already planning to rebook with Danielle.”

About: During my childhood I often spent time with my grandmother and her pack of boxers. Now I have a Boston Terrier named Jack. I can handle a pack of up to 8 on my own I do currently have a job so I can be a bit busy sometimes. I live with quite a few people, we all help out with caring for the dogs in our care. I can usually feed the dogs in the morning and night. I can adhere to your dogs rules, whether you want them on furniture or not, whether you want them crated at certain times or not. I have not administered medicine before but I am willing to learn if need be.
“Tommy was wonderful to our 13 week lab puppy! We were worried about leaving her in a boarding kennel, so we chose Tommy to watch her while we enjoyed a fishing charter! The boat came back later than expected, and Tommy was so understanding ! He met us at the docks to pick up our dog and dropped her off which was so convenient !”

“Mandy took amazing care of my dog Ophelia. I didn't even have to worry. At the end of the day, Ophi was happy and sleepy. Mandy was very responsive and sent awesome photos of Ophi. I WILL be rebooking with her, and I'm so grateful to have found her!”

About: Current medical student with so much motivation to get outside with my dog in between studying. I'm also a professional photographer, so expect lot's of photos of your pup! When I was a kid, I always wanted a dog….but we owned everything except a dog due to our lack of a yard. To solve this, I would knock on my neighbors doors to walk and play with their dogs everyday. Now I can finally live out my hotel for dogs dreams. My rescue dog, Cowboy, would also love a furry friend. He was the dog the shelter used to socialize their dogs and I’m sure he misses it. I hope I can help you out and use the experience I’ve gained from training him and the dogs in my childhood to love and care for your friend! I work from home and have plenty of time to care for your pet. I take my dog on 2 walks a day and spend a lot of time playing, training, and cuddling. I would love to share this time with your pet too. I have a fully enclosed private back yard. Right outside my front door is a short walk to a park and many other walking trails.
About: Your pup will be treated like family! I have always been an animal lover and have treated all animals with kindness and compassion. I grew up with dogs (and a variety of other pets) and understand the commitment involved in taking good care of your beloved pet. I love watching Cesar Milan and know that rules, boundaries and limitations are also a key part of making a dog feel at ease. That being said, I'm quite a softy so there are generally very few rules as far as the house goes! :) My yard is completely fenced with lots of room to play. They can sleep wherever they choose and will always get plenty of time outdoors ( if they would like). I love walking and will take your pup for as many walks as you would like. My job is very flexible so while dog sitting I will always be at home and with your dog for the entire duration. I know that calmness and kindness are key to reassuring your pup and allowing them to feel happy and comfortable. Boarding can be stressful for animals and parents and I assure you that I will do everything I can to make the experience a joyous and pleasant one. Looking forward to caring for your beloved pup! I have recently lost my 17 yr old chihuahua so looking to have some more dog love in my life right now. Sincerely, Jackie I have a very flexible job as a vending machine owner/operator so I have lots of time to give love and walks to your fur baby! I like to keep pups stimulated with a variety of activities involving exercise, games and love. I enjoy creating fun games for them to do around the house!

About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember and have been caring for them since I was a little kid. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and they are truly family to me. One of my most meaningful experiences was caring for my late dog, Roo, who battled cancer for about a year before we lost her in September. During that time, I gained experience providing medication, extra comfort, patience, and specialized care. I now have a 10-month-old puppy named Tilly and a 13-year-old dog named Leo who keep me active and remind me every day how important exercise, playtime, routine, and affection are. I treat every dog in my care as if they were my own! Whether your pup loves to play, go on walks, or curl up on the couch for cuddles, they’ll receive plenty of attention and care while staying with me. My goal is for every dog to feel safe, happy, loved, and right at home while you’re away. I work from 10 AM to 4 PM Monday - Thursday. Friday-Sunday I am off! Before and after work, I make sure dogs get plenty of attention, exercise, and potty breaks! Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a secure fenced yard for supervised play and plenty of space for dogs to relax indoors. My own dog is friendly, playful, and accustomed to being around other dogs. I carefully introduce pets, follow each owner’s instructions, and maintain routines as closely as possible. I provide lots of attention, updates, and photos throughout their stay.
About: My husband and I lost our great Pyrenees a few months ago. :( We have an older shihtzu and would like to watch another dog because our dog is getting older and does not like to hike anymore. She does enjoy her walks tho. We like all types of dogs as long as they are well behaved and get along with cats and other dogs. Our home is 2,800 sq ft and we have a 10,000 sq ft yard. We can only host 2 dogs max at a time so your dog will be well taken care. We prefer only one at a time tho since we also have a cat . I am currently working part time but work from home most of the time. My husband also works from home . We walk our dog 2 -3 times a day. We like to hike and during the summer and in winter we walk the trails that are right next to our home. I have a fenced yard , but can also crate your baby if you prefer. We have everything needed for a big or little dog.
About: Hi! Both my husband and I have grown up in Alaska helping care for small chihuahuas all the way up to wolf-hybrids. While I work, typically my two doodles spend their time snacking and watching TV! Once the work day is up, to the park we go! I have two miniature sized doodles to keep your dog company. Additionally, we have many toys available to play with, ample treats, and a small backyard area for potty with an additional park right next door. Both of my doodles are fixed and crate trained. :)

About: Hi! Like most of us here i’ve been looking after dogs and cats for most of my life. From my own, to family, to friends and roommates pets. Recently i had the experience of looking after an elderly dog for a friend, he was 12 and had a failing hing leg, cataracts and arthritis. His eyes required drops, and pain meds with his food. Walking him was hard, but only to see him struggle, it gave me great joy to be able to give him all of my patience and attention in love in such a difficult time. I recently moved to Anchorage and haven’t been working here yet, taking time to enjoy being able to explore and have fun with winter sports. My schedule is completely open, i have no other obligations at this time, other than taking care of my own pets We have a large backyard here that our dog can run around and play in during the potty breaks, which is great for her as she loves to run. I take Chuli with me for most all of my hikes and drives around the area.
About: Hello! My name is Elise! I’m from Alaska, I moved here in October. I grew up with many different animals. I’ve had many dogs, cats, as well as bunnies, horses and I’ve cared for birds. I love animals very much and I am very good at taking care of them. I’ve been pet sitting since I was about 14 but not really officially since I was 16. I’ve trained quite a few puppies and I’ve helped birth a lot of cats and dogs. I joined rover because I love animals and with just moving here I definitely wouldn’t mind a little side gig to help get me though the winter. Hope to hear from you! Thanks for reading! I can’t wait to meet you and your pets!

I have a 10 year old Australian Shepherd named Oliver so I am very familiar with high maintenance/active dog breeds. I'm currently taking a month long break from work before starting a new job. What better way to make some extra money in the down time than taking care of dogs? I am located close to several wooded trails as well as Kincaid park, where I frequent with my own Australian Shepherd Oliver. With such an active breed, we are out and about multiple times each day.

I also volunteer at our local animal shelters and am passionate about finding animals good homes! I value communication and will update you on your pets mood, send pictures, etc. I have a lot of experience with anxious dogs, so rest assured your pets are in good hands even if they tend to be nervous when you leave.

About: I’ve always had a love for animals since I was a little girl. I’ve also known that my future career path was going to be something to do with fur babies. I have taken 2 years of a veterinary medicine course in high school, which also gave me the opportunity to get a certification. I was also part of Veterinary Medicine CDE and we went to state and got runner up. This is sort of like a competition that tests you on the basics of veterinary medicine. I worked for Ashcroft Boarding facility and worked there for about a year before leaving for college. I have been pet sitting for 3 years now! At the moment I’m a student at CSU. I coach high school and club volleyball. I work at Facette medical spa and hair salon. My normal hours are 8:45am to 1 pm. My work schedule is very flexible. Something that I think is important is listening to the fur babies wants and wishes when it comes to overnight stays. My big thing is I will always check in with the parents before making any decisions. I want the parents to feel the most comfortable when they have me in their home.
“Katy has been great with my dog, Scruff. He needed a ton of patience starting out and she worked with him to get him used to a dog walker. He actually got a little grumpy with me one day when I stayed home sick and she didn’t come.”

“I booked three hour long walks with Jessica for my dog, Lilo. By the second walk, Lilo recognized Jessica and absolutely loved her! Polite, on time, and great communication.”

About: I don’t remember life without dogs. I truly enjoy meeting new dogs. I currently have a mini Maltese that has traveled the world with me. I once spent a few days in quarantine with him prior to entering a foreign island. I’m currently working from home and have all the time in the world to love your pet. I prefer to pull up to the pets home to keep them comfortable in their own environment. I have a fenced back yard. I also live one block from the coastal trail and love to take walks enjoying the fresh air and safe trails.

About: Our dog passed away and I miss her very much. Recently relocated to Alaska and loving it! Have extra time on my hands to care for your furry bundle. I’ll take care of her/him/them like my own. Sorry I can’t commit to a reoccurring schedule at this time. Currently between jobs (indefinitely!) so I have plenty of time until then to give your loved ones attention. I love being outdoors so plenty of fresh air is not an issue or playing inside and curling up on sofa with your fluff ball is cool too. No problem if your pet prefers their own space, I am open to all types of personalities. Happy to care for pets in your home according to your normal routine. I am currently renting so care in my home is not an option. Thanks for understanding.
About: Ive had dogs in my life for just about all of it. I figured why not walk dogs and make some side cash while I walk around. Taking care of pets and walking dogs is more of just a part time thing I'm doing to pass the time and get to hang out with animals. Before I moved to Anchorage my family had 4 dogs that I took care of on a daily basis. I always make sure the dog is secured to a lease before I bring them out. Currently on a part time seasonal schedule with more time going to be available in the winter. Figured this would be a great way to stay active and outside while going into the winter months I've have plenty of experience with dogs and their care growing up in northwest Alaska. My siblings and I all had dogs growing up from newborn pups to our fathers dog that lived until he was 21.
About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I’ve spent years caring for pets for friends and family. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. I make sure every animal gets plenty of exercise, affection, playtime, and care while their family is away. I love creating a fun, safe, and comfortable environment for every animal I watch. I am great with any communication requests/requirements and I hope to help make this process easy and smooth :) As a General Manager in retail, I have a very flexible schedule and am able to create my own work hours. I can adjust my day as needed and take breaks when necessary, making it easy for me to return home for feeding times, potty breaks, exercise, and general care. My schedule typically ranges between the hours of 9am to 9:30pm, but I have the flexibility to structure those hours around the needs of my pet. I worked in child care for a couple years and I am the oldest four siblings. I also grew up with our family dog named Pookah. While I understand that caring for humans and dogs are different, I have experience caring for others with the upmost respect, care, kindness, and patience. I love taking walks and getting outside. Overall, I strive to create a very warm and fun environment for any pet I care for.

“Olga did a great job of taking care of my senior dog. Took her on short daily walks, sent me lots of pictures and updates every day. She definitely has a repeat customer.”

“Our dog seemed to enjoy her stay. Great yard for play, and neighborhood for walks. Kaitlin gave great updates during the stay and was flexible with us for drop off and pick up.”

“Ashley was great! We needed to find a place at the last minute for our dog for a couple nights. Great communication and she was able to accommodate some minor schedule changes, which was a big help. And, she took great care of our dog, who said he had a blast!”

“We are first time pet owners and this was our first time in the almost 3 years of having him that we set out to find a sitter. Sharon & her family were very supportive, patient and kind. Sharon introduced our dog to others and it went extremely well. We received prompt replies to our check in texts and she even sent us photos! We definitely recommend their services!”

“Kerry is so thoughtful, communicative, and caring! I appreciate her clear affection for doggos, and her patience and understanding about Petra’s quirks. Thank you so much!”

“Danielle did a fantastic job with my lab. He had injuries his leg right before our trip. Danielle went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and didn’t injury any thing else. Country be more pleased.”

“Prospect was in great company and thoroughly enjoyed his time with Aiko and her family :) Great communicators, flexible with my changing pickup & dropoff times, and my boy was returned to me safe & happy. Would recommend to anyone!”

“I’m so happy that we found Lisa and Joe to mind our two pups while we were in Anchorage. They took great care of Ruby and Chance, made them comfortable in their home, and provided updates. Lisa is very responsive and easy to work with. I highly recommend them!”

“Ashlee and her husband were great care takers for my dog over the weekend. Their dogs are so friendly and my dog Chunk had a blast. Lots of playtime outside, walks and pictures throughout the whole stay! Ashlee takes such good care of them and treated my dog just as I would. I will absolutely reach out again when we need a sitter.”

“My boys had another great stay running around and making friends with other pups boarding with Crystal. Anytime I need to board them I'll be using her.”

“Ashley was great, keeping me updated and sending pics. She was responsive, communicative and flexible. I will absolutely use her again. Thank you 🙏”

“He did a phenomenal job. My husky loves to try to run away but was unable to, and the GPS tracker he has just in case made me feel more safe with the dogs in his hands. He took them on walks, played with them, and gave them the company they needed to not be stressed out. He kept me updated and sent pictures of them during the time away. Will definitely be using him again if I need to travel.”

“Hawken is a genuine ‘dog person’! What a gift. Our boy, who is always hesitant with people took right to him and even went back to him to say goodbye before getting in the car. We are thrilled!”

“Mandy watched my dog for the first time on a BIG trip and was absolutely amazing! She shared occasional pictures, and was willing to provide allergy medicine when needed, and I was relieved my dog was so well taken care of while I was gone.”

“Zhenya is awesome. This was our dogs first stay with her and they loved their time. She is easy to communicate with and responsive. We will definitely book with her again when we need a sitter.”
