About: I love animals and have had them in my home growing up my whole life, however my current building does not permit pets. It’s important to me to be around animals every day and I truly value the time I get to spend with them. I love getting to know new animals and their quirks, understand their needs and how to respond to their specific needs when their owner may be away for lengths of time. I have experience with senior care in ushering my own dog through the final years of his life and providing him with as comfortable and dignified an existence as I could, while also following doctors orders and administering prescriptions. I try to get outside at least once a day and am very sensitive to meeting your dog at their activity level. About: i had 3 dogs in my life. 2 of the dogs i had. i had since i was born. then i adopted another dog in 2014. wanting to adopted more dogs in the future. i have dogsit before in the past 3 years before i knew about rover. i love and adore dogs. i cant imagine life without one. Dogs are everything to me. Having dogs around get me outside more and walking more. i have trained my 3 dogs. so i know a tiny bit about trainging them. I do live in an apartment in the 3rd floor on the top. If the dog needs it I can carry him/her up and down the stairs no issue at all. Make sure to take your time to read and make sure your 100% sure to want to book with me before you click book. i currently dont have a job. i would make dog sitting a part time job for right now. i have alot of time to care for a dog. i give the pet alot of play time. i give the pet bathroom breaks as much as needed. i walk the pet like an hour or 2. ill feed the pet when he or she needes it. of course ill him or her water. ill give the pet as much exercise as he or she needs. The dog must have a leash for me to watch them i would have the pet come over to my apartment. im around a place where i can take the dog on a long or short walk. the apartment im at is very pet friendly. I say you would have to bring your pet to me at my apartment.

About: Current medical student with so much motivation to get outside with my dog in between studying. I'm also a professional photographer, so expect lot's of photos of your pup! When I was a kid, I always wanted a dog….but we owned everything except a dog due to our lack of a yard. To solve this, I would knock on my neighbors doors to walk and play with their dogs everyday. One of my most meaningful experiences was caring for my late dog, Roo, who battled cancer for about a year before we lost her in September. About: My husband and I lost our great Pyrenees a few months ago. :( We have an older shihtzu and would like to watch another dog because our dog is getting older and does not like to hike anymore. She does enjoy her walks tho. We like all types of dogs as long as they are well behaved and get along with cats and other dogs. Our home is 2,800 sq ft and we have a 10,000 sq ft yard. We can only host 2 dogs max at a time so your dog will be well taken care. We prefer only one at a time tho since we also have a cat . I am currently working part time but work from home most of the time. My husband also works from home . We walk our dog 2 -3 times a day. We like to hike and during the summer and in winter we walk the trails that are right next to our home. I have a fenced yard , but can also crate your baby if you prefer. About: Roughly two years ago, I received a call from a colleague asking to house sit for a weekend after a previous bad experience with boarding two dogs. Both with health issues and one of them not sociable with other dogs. My colleague came back to a clean home, garden watered, mail organized and the dogs very well loved and walked everyday. Ever since, I have housesat for anywhere from 48hrs to nearly 30 days at a time with zero issues. Bed time rituals, feeding songs, walking a slightly reactive dog, cuddling very closely at night were the priorities at the top of the to-do list. Now that two years have passed since that first call I have decided to try my hand at truly making dog walking/house sitting/drop-in playdates a side gig! I work 12hrs a day, rotating weeks 3 days or 4 days a week. Typically Wednesday/Thursday-Saturday off every week. I am up early most mornings in my time off, can make myself available for late nights Wednesday-Friday as well. In your home, I will follow all requests diligently, check all doors and windows before leaving or before bed. I am MANDT de-escalation trained, CPR/BLS certified and will soon be training to further my EMS-adjacent skillsets. In emergencies, I understand the importance of prioritizing the fur babies and keeping them out of harm’s way.

About: I have lived with cats my entire life, and own two currently. I regularly check on friends cats and dogs when they are out of town (for the past 10 years), so I am confident in my abilities to give your pets the attention they need while you're away. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care with patience, attention, and respect. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, medication reminders, enrichment, or just some extra companionship while you're away, I’ll make sure they feel safe and cared for. I work remotely as a postdoc for UAF and my schedule can be flexible to work with yours/your pets needs! I enjoy spending time outdoors, and I’m happy to provide walks, drop-in visits, and active outings tailored to your pet’s needs. I’m reliable, communicative, and will always send updates so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away. I have two cats and will generally not be accepting any stay-over visits at my own house. They are really friendly and love humans but other pets would be stressful for everyone!
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my experience caring for dogs who may be reactive or selective around other animals. I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust when your dog requires extra awareness and responsibility. I’m attentive, proactive, and committed to keeping every dog in my care safe by avoiding risky situations and managing walks and interactions thoughtfully. I also grew up in a dog-loving household with four or more dogs at any given time. Our home was the go-to place for family and friends to leave their dogs while traveling or working, and at times we even cared for entire litters of puppies. Because of this, I have hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments, and I’m comfortable providing dependable, attentive care tailored to each dog’s individual needs. I currently work from home on freelance engineering design projects, and my own home improvement projects. This means I have a heaps of availability to pay attention to your pet! I am an active individual that recently moved to Anchorage, I love walking with dogs to explore neighborhoods and get exercise. I also have a yard at my home, which is unfenced, and I look forward to romping around with leashed dogs. Regarding situations where dogs stay at my house, I currently have two young cats which any visiting dogs will have to be okay with. Because my house has two levels, I do have the ability to block the stairway and provide my cats with a sanctuary if the cats get tired of dog games.

I love animals very much and I am very good at taking care of them. I’ve been pet sitting since I was about 14 but not really officially since I was 16. About: Hi! I’m Susie. I’ve always been an animal lover and know how much our pets mean to us. For years I’ve cared for my friends’ dogs whenever they traveled, and after realizing how much I enjoy it, I decided to join Rover. At home, I have a dachshund named Nugget and a cat named Cosmo, so caring for animals is already a big part of my everyday life. I live in a single-family home with my son, and we have a fully fenced backyard with a medium-sized doggy door, giving dogs plenty of room to safely play and explore. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, relaxed, and at home while they’re with us. I’ll follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible and send regular photo updates so you can see how they’re doing while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I work from home 4 days a week so I am available often. Thursday I go into the office 9-5, so animal would need to handle some alone time (crated/house trained) I follow instructions left by owner and if I need any further instructions I would contact owner. I am pretty laid back and animal would have full access to home and backyard.
