Please no fence-fighters as we have neighbors with friendly pups :)

“Amy spent extra time getting to know Auggie (rambunctious mini schnauzer) so that he would be comfortable during her visits. They got on after some introduction and Amy quickly engaged with and showed love for our fur baby in the way we were hoping. She was very responsible and communicative while we were away for the day. Amy sent messages and pictures after each visit and Auggie was clearly very happy and well taken care of. We will absolutely be booking her services again.”

About: I have been around dogs for 41 years and taken care of them for over 36. I've also worked with and cared for cats, goats, horses, pigs, chickens and some other exotic animals here and there. I have experience in training dogs both on and off leash with e-collars. I also have a dog and indoor/outdoor cat and have trained them to get along and perform jobs.I I am a work from home entrepreneur with 1 acre who also works with a local farm on 20 acres, so there is always plenty of space and time to take care of animals. I have a half acre fenced yard with a standard 4' fence so as long as your doggo isn't tiny or able to jump fences they'll be able to stay outside longer if they like. Otherwise I can monitor them or walk them around the property. I have en elderly dog who may play with your dog(s) or who may keep to himself. I have an outdoor cat that takes care of snakes, bugs and rodents who also comes in the house sometimes. I have access to 1 or 2 small to medium crates, &/or if you prefer to provide a crate, I can crate your dog as well. If dogs are well trained and well behaved, I also have access to a 20 acre farm in the neighborhood so we can go there for exercise.

“Stephanie did an excellent job caring for our pets over a four day trip. We have one dog who is blind and elderly. We came to find everyone in high spirits to see us but sad to see Stephanie and her little one leave. They loved being cared for by this family much more than any boarding process. The home was cleaner than when we left it. We are very grateful for Stephanie!”

During our initial meet-and-greet, she was so attentive and asked all the right questions about chiefs routine and needs. It was clear that she genuinely cared about my pet's well-being and went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and comfortable. I highly recommend Jissell to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter. I will definitely be using her services again in the future!”

Carla G.
“January 22, 2023 To Whom It May Concern: I have known Carla Gustka, formerly of Hair of the Dog Walking service for seven years. She became a trusted caregiver, friend and guardian of my dog, Perry. Perry is a small rescue dog who can be fearful and reactive. I was impressed when Carla took him out for “walking interviews” before she agreed to take him on as a client. During that time, she watched how Perry interacted with the rest of her pack and assessed his potential as an added member. I so respected the fact that she made no promises, but observed the needs of all of the dogs for whom she is caregiver and guardian. Carla watched Perry as though he was her dog. She communicated with me about his days, if he had loose stools or needed his nails trimmed. Carla has a wealth of knowledge about resources for animals from grooming to feeding. Most importantly, Carla loves working with dogs. These animals speak to her and she interacts with them and their owners in a respectful and caring way. I was sad to see Carla relocate to Texas because Perry and I lost a trusted friend and caregiver. Honest and loyal, Carla will be a wonderful addition to your company. Feel free to call or email if I can answer any other questions for you. Respectfully, Pat Forte 415 297-7315 pattforte@gmail.com”

“Valerie has been an animal lover since she was little. She started riding horses when she was in elementary school. Her love for horses took her to the rodeo scene where she was a champion barrel racer. She was also involved in her high school FFA program. She has always had dogs and loves them like they are her actual children. Just recently, she and her family have recently acquired chickens and goats to raise. Any family would be lucky to have Valerie look after their pets; she will definitely be attentive and make sure nothing happens!”
