About: I’ve had a dog pretty much my whole life, so I’m very used to taking care of them and being around them every day. I also spend a lot of time around my girlfriend’s cat and help take care of her, so I’m comfortable with both dogs and cats. I genuinely love animals and I’m someone you can trust to make sure your pet is well taken care of and gets plenty of attention while you’re away. I’m a commuter engineering student at Stony Brook, so I have a pretty flexible schedule and spend a lot of my week at home. Most days I’m only on campus for a few hours at a time, and I’m free all day on Saturdays. I do have an occasional longer class day, but even then I’m able to plan around your pet’s schedule. A lot of my schoolwork is done on my laptop, so when I’m pet sitting I’m happy to study and do my work from your home, which means I can spend plenty of time with your pet throughout the day. I also usually go to a local gym for about an hour and a half in the evening, but otherwise I’m around and can be pretty flexible. I’ll follow whatever routine you already have for your pet so they can stay as comfortable as possible while you’re away. I’m active and in good shape, so I’m more than happy to take dogs on long walks or give them as much exercise as they’re used to. I can handle feeding, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, litter boxes, and whatever else is part of their normal routine. I’m also completely comfortable sleeping with your pets if that’s what they’re used to, or giving them their own space so it’s really whatever you and your pet are most comfortable with. sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
