Some people may want more frequent updates, but personally we appreciated that she wasn’t sending us a million pictures every day lol. It was the right amount of updates to know he was ok while still enjoying our vacation when we couldn’t be on our phones all that much. Also, she even offered to pick him up and drop him off which made things so much easier for us with all the packing and crazy travel. About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 10. I have cared for a blind senior cat as well as a cat with hip problems, which required patience, close monitoring, and adapting the environment to keep them safe and comfortable. I currently help care for my friend’s senior dog, who also has hip and dental issues, so I’m familiar with administering gentle support, maintaining comfort, and being attentive to mobility limitations and pain cues. In addition, I have experience caring for younger animals, including kittens and puppies around 12 weeks old. Pet care fits into my routine pretty easily because I currently have a part-time job with a very variable schedule. Since my shifts change from week to week, I’m generally flexible and available most days with some notice. This flexibility allows me to adjust around pet care responsibilities like feeding, walks, check-ins, or overnight stays when needed. I’m also used to planning my time in a way that ensures animals are consistently cared for, even on busier days, so I can reliably fit pet care into my weekly schedule. In my home, I would make sure any pet is cared for in a safe, comfortable, and supervised environment. While my apartment doesn’t have a backyard, there is a fenced-in area nearby where dogs can run, play fetch, and get exercise. I also have a car, so if the owner is comfortable with it, I can take the dogs to a dog park for additional enrichment and activity. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions are followed closely. I’m also very mindful of respecting the home itself. I was raised to always leave a place cleaner than I found it, so I make sure everything is kept tidy, organized, and exactly as I found it. Communication is also important to me, so I always update owners and let them know right away if anything seems off or if there are any concerns about their pet’s health, behavior, or well-being.

I was planning a longer trip and d/t the length of the trip I needed her to coordinate with another sitter while I was in a country with limited internet accessibility and eletricity. Nonetheless she was able to coordinate with the sitter and complete the handoff. And Milo was a happy camper as usual in her house. When I got internet connection I got to see the photos she sent of lots of cuddles, pijama days, and he wrestles all day with her dog Fritter.”

About: I’ve owned pets from bearded dragons, tree frogs, Guinea pigs, hamsters, and dogs big and small. I love animals and I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, tarantulas (assisting with shedded skin stuck), and exotic frogs. I’m currently working full time until August where I will then work full time as a pet sitter. I’m available after 5:30 PM M-F and the entirety of the weekends. I have a small dog that could keep your dog company. I don’t just consider it my responsibility to keep your dog safe, but mentally stimulated as well. Expect walks, play, pupcups, and hikes upon owners permission or request .

About: I have seen and taken care of many different pets. I have a lot of energy and will show your pet the attention it deserves. I have been around many cats and dogs and have had birds in the past and currently have a dwarf gerbil. I am a 21 year old student at the University of Idaho. I have had all sorts of pets and really just enjoy the happiness they bring me. I have a part time job and school but am still pretty flexible. I am very detail oriented and like to think I am pretty responsible. I love pets so I would never want anything bad to happen to one of my pets or anyone else's.

About: Taken care of dogs, cats, bunnies, chickens, horses, and hamsters since I was 14. I’m reliable and show up on time. I will always put the animals needs before my own. I’m just moving up to Pullman so my schedule is wide open currently. I will be updating my schedule as life happens and updating my availability. A job will not keep me from checking in on a pet before or after work as needed. It will all depend on what type of home the owners have and if a leash will be necessary. Dog walking will of course have a harness/leash present.

Growing up, my family always had dogs and cats around the house, and it’s a tradition I’ve proudly continued into adulthood. Sadly, both of my beloved pugs passed away over the last few years. Right now, it's just me and my cat, Vader, so I would absolutely love to welcome a canine (or another feline) presence back into my home! I work at WSU and live a quiet, peaceful life here in Colfax. Because my home is a kid-free environment and I spend a lot of my time here, your pet will get plenty of focused attention, companionship, and love. I understand how hard it is to leave your pets, so I am committed to treating yours like family - providing a safe, comfortable, and fun home away from home. I’d love to chat and see if I’m the perfect fit for your pet! I work at WSU so it's a short commute each day, allowing me to spend more time at home. My weekday evenings are pretty quiet. I sometimes go out on the weekends but would be quite happy staying home if there is pet-sitting to do. I have a large fenced yard. I have a large linoleum dining and kitchen area that can easily be blocked off where messes are easy to clean up. I'm totally fine sharing my bed and furniture with a pet. It's a quiet, kid-free house well suited for even the most nervous dogs.
