And, as a bonus we got some nice updates with photos throughout!”

“I knew my dogs would be well looked after with Katie and they were, in fact they looked pretty fed up when they came home 😉 Thanks Katie, I have found someone outside of the family I trust completely with my dogs.”

“Above and beyond 5 stars! This was Barley's second stay with Jack and Georgina, which meant we were able to totally relax and enjoy our holiday, knowing he was safe and happy. They made the effort to really get to know Barley, and his likes and dislikes. The regular updates and photos that we received were wonderful and really set our minds at rest. The photos made us laugh too, as they showed that Barley was having a very enjoyable holiday without us! I can't imagine sending him anywhere that could provide better care than Jack and Georgina.”

“Paul looked after Duggie for two days, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He kept me updated every day with messages and photos, which really put my mind at ease and allowed me to properly enjoy my birthday surprise without worrying. It’s clear that Paul is very knowledgeable about dogs and understands their behaviour well. Duggie was in safe, capable hands the whole time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him, and we will definitely be using his services again in the future. THANK YOU PAUL & FAMILY”

“Jaye and Johnny put us at ease with our elderly miniature schnauzer Salt from the moment we met them. Warm, kind and attentive with a clear love for canine family members we were confident Salt was going to fit right in and they would take care of our old guy who had a few are related health issues. They sent several photos of their time caring for him over the 3 nights he stayed with them and Jaye gave us assurances he was doing just great. They bonded so quickly with him and great they live so conveniently close by to us too so that was a bonus. Would whole heartedly recommend Jaye and Johnny to others looking for a canine home away from home ! Thanks again”

“Kelly is simply great! Clear comms and a pre booking meet up to make sure everyone including the dogs are happy. Left the 2 girls with Kelly knowing they were in good hands with an experienced person. Dogs probably had a better holiday than I did. We’ll certainly be back.”

“Vivianne was wonderful with Binky and made her so welcome, really making so much effort for Binky to feel at home. Binky took a while to settle as she is still a giddy puppy but once she got over the initial excitement she enjoyed staying with Vivianne very much. Really safe gardens front and back for dogs and plenty of superb local walks. We would definitely use again and recommend to others”

About: I am a huge animal lover, have had dogs my whole life and currently have a 3 year old female Cockapoo who loves play dates. I also helped to care for my 2 elderly family dogs who had arthritis and hip dysplasia and needed daily medication. Having been through separation anxiety with my own dog, I know how important it is to get the best care for them, with someone you can trust. I guarantee to care for your dog as though they are my own and give them all the love and attention they need. I also know how expensive dog care can be so I aim to keep my rates low to help people with access to affordable and reliable care. I work from home so can be with your dog 24/7. I can walk them with my dog before and after work and they will have access to the garden all day. I have a completely enclosed garden and my dog Leni will keep your fur baby company. She loves to play but can also be very calm when needed and usually gets along with all dogs.

“Kate made us feel so comfortable and happy leaving Colin with her for the day (on his first birthday!). She was really flexible and responsive and you can tell she really loves animals and cares for them like they’re her own. I would recommend her to anyone :)”

“Kay took great care of Freddie (a Frenchie) when he was booked in for daycare. He was taken for a walks and felt relaxed enough to have a snooze in the sun when he was there too! Kay went the extra mile to get to know Freddie and I received updates on how he was doing, which was appreciated. She was also very understanding when the car I was travelling in broke down, causing me to be later than planned. I’d recommend Kay and hope to book in again soon.”

“Kelsie was great. She even took the time to meet up for a little walk before hand to see how my dog was with her lovely border collie. There is a wonderful field just seconds from the house for walks. Highly recommend!”

“Perfect dog sitter! My greyhound had a fab time with Melanie and she kept me posted as to what he was up to which was really nice and reassuring. Will book Melanie again in future I'm sure!”

“The farm is beautiful. Lots of space to run around and Laura and the family are very welcoming. Laura sent some lovely photos and I'm sure Marley had a great day. Thank you!!”

“Benson's first time at a dog-sitter so I was anxious about leaving him, he's a big boisterous dog who can be nervous - I didn't need to be, he had a wonderful time, was looked after perfectly, very experienced and lovely sitters, highly recommend.”

About: I have been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember. Back in my home country, raised my own dog from a tiny puppy, and he is now a lovely ten-year-old senior dog. Looking after him over all these years has given me valuable hands-on experience caring for older dogs, understanding their slower pace, special health needs and gentle care requirements. 么 I also rescued and cared for six cats while living in China. Looking after this group of rescue pets taught me immense patience, how to help shy, nervous animals feel safe, and how to manage multiple pets with different personalities and needs at the same time. Those wonderful years built my confidence and deep love for every furry friend. Since moving to York in the UK, I now have one friendly, well-socialised one-year-old dog who lives with me at home. He is calm, gentle and happy to meet other dogs. I am home full-time and rarely out of the house for long periods. This means your dog will get constant companionship, frequent daily walks, regular feeding times, plenty of playtime and rest. 1 am also happy to administer medication if needed. I treat every pet that stays with me like a member of my own family. Throughout their booking, I will send you regular photo and text updates, so you can enjoy peace of mind while you are away. I welcome puppies, adult dogs and senior dogs of all temperaments. I am currently not working and stay at home full-time, so I can dedicate plenty of time to look after, play with and walk your dog every single day. I am fully available for pet-boarding services all week with no strict time restrictions. I have rich long-term pet-care experience. I previously cared for six cats and a 10-year-old dog back in my home country. Now I own a one-year-old friendly, well-socialised dog here in the UK. I will closely supervise all interactions between the pets and offer your furry friend a safe, quiet and comfortable home environment.
“Would definitely recommend Christianne, she looks after Ted who struggles with separation anxiety once a week. Updates throughout the day and takes great care of him and his needs.”

“Alicia was great with our 8 month husky/labrador cross, Haribo. She was very professional and provided a pick-up and drop-off service as well. Alicia provided him a whole day of adventures with her dog, trained him with recall and walking to heel, and sitting patiently in cafes. He absolutely had a lovely time with Alicia and his new doggy friend! We got lots of lovely videos and pictures 🥰 highly recommended and we will definitely be rebooking in the future!”

About: Hey, I’m Frances, a York/Selby local! I’ve grown up having many pets – dogs, birds and guinea pigs. ☀️ Being around animals has always felt natural to me. Throughout my life, I’ve lived in a home that has always had dogs, including many Boxers, so my love for dogs grew from there. We adopted Isla, a 10-year-old White Boxer, who still has lots of energy! She’s a strong, energetic girl who requires longer walks and a solid routine, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs with plenty of energy and personality. I’m the main person who will be caring for your dog, and I’ll sometimes be accompanied by my partner, Charlie. Charlie has also grown up around dogs and has lots of experience with them. He’s naturally very good with animals and, like me, absolutely loves getting out for long walks. We both enjoy quiet, chilled weekends and spending time outdoors, so having a dog to join us on walks and relax with is something we genuinely love. 🐾 Clear communication is really important to me. I’ll always respect your instructions around training, routines and care, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and little check-ins so you know your dog is happy and settled. 🐶 I attend dance classes 3 times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 4pm and 8pm, so I've got plenty of time to spare for your dogs during the day. I’m happy to care for dogs in their own home and will always make sure they feel safe, comfortable and well looked after. I love taking dogs on walks and exploring different routes, parks and green spaces so they can get plenty of exercise and enjoy lots of new smells. I’ll follow their usual routine, give them plenty of attention and make sure they’re happy and settled before I leave.

About: I'm El! I had a dog from when she was a puppy right through to old age. We trained her with various commands when she was young as well as monitoring her care and medication when she was older. I have also helped with friends and families dogs with day to day care (fed, walked, bathed etc). I currently only have weekends and evenings/nights available to look after pets. I can also only look after pets in their owners home as mine is under renovations. Caring for pets in their owners home will needs to be discussed on a case by case basis for the pet and the owner. I will always enter caring for a pet with compassion and a nurturing mindset. Looking after a pet in their owners home I would need to understand the boundaries already in place and would want to know their expectations for their home and their pet before before services being agreed.

About: Hello everyone! My name is Oksana. I'm originally from Ukraine, and I'm now building my own small business here in the UK. Like many animal lovers, I've always been surrounded by animals. I honestly can't remember a time in my life when there wasn't a little soul by my side. I've volunteered with animals in different countries, helped save lives, and found loving homes for dozens of stray animals. Through these experiences, I've learned that trust can't be forced — it's built with patience, kindness and love. I'm 36, and it has taken me years to finally find the field I truly want to work in. Now I know that caring for animals is not just something I love — it's where I feel I belong. Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, so I know how important it is to find someone genuine and trustworthy to care for your beloved family members when you can't be there. I hope I can be that person for you — someone who gives you peace of mind, knowing your pets are safe, cared for and in kind hands. Warm regards, Oksana Founder of Kindred Paws Pet care is my full-time job, so your pet will always be my priority. I have a very flexible schedule and can tailor my visits to suit your pet's routine. Whether your pet needs one visit or several visits a day, I'm happy to help. I'm available Monday to Sunday, including Bank Holidays At the moment, I offer dog walking and drop-in visits in owners' homes. I always follow each pet's usual routine to help them feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed in their familiar environment. During every visit, I make sure your pet has fresh water, food (if required), exercise, playtime, affection, and any other care you've requested. I also send regular updates and photos, so you can have complete peace of mind while you're away. I'm also completely comfortable with home security cameras, as I believe transparency helps build trust and gives pet owners confidence that both their beloved pets and their homes are in safe hands
About: Are you looking for a regular dog walker to walk your beloved pooch? I'm offering a solo dog walking service, just for your dog. The walk will be in your local area and can be either a half or full hour. So if your work takes precedent or you are unable to manage the walk because of health or other priorities then I could be your man. Having taken a very early retirement, I've had experience working as a specialist dog handler. I now find myself with a lot of free time and I'm looking to do what I love most and that's, spending more time with dogs. I offer a 9am walk and a 4pm walk and I'm also available for a drop in visit in between, if you need it. These times can be flexed by agreement one hour either side. Skills: • Feeding and administering medication. • Dog walking & exercise. • Patient with nervous dogs. • Previous dog handling experience & training from my previous employment. • Basic first aid. Available Monday to Friday to walk your dog. Puppies accepted and I'm happy to provide some basic training tips to new dog owners if required. I have dog walking insurance ( not that it's needed) and I'm enhanced DBS checked. Your dog will be well cared for whilst in my custody and looked after with love.

“This was Maple's first time staying with Sally and her family, and we can definitely recommend. Maple can be nervous of new people, but Sally was really gentle and welcoming with her (as well as being flexible for a meet and greet beforehand). And, as a bonus we got some nice updates with photos throughout!”

“Domino had a fantastic experience staying with Laura and her family. Laura kept us updated on Domino, with photos and he looked so relaxed and contented, it made our time away more enjoyable. Domino enjoyed walks with Laura's dogs in perfect surroundings and quickly became part of the family. We look forward to using Laura again. Thank you Laura”

“Ewan and Katy looked after Charlie again, they are so caring and we know that Charlie is in safe hands. I would suggest that they would be a perfect sitter for your furry friend... only when I don't need to book....!!! Charlie settles with them so quickly... thank you.”

“Shunqi had the best time with Goldie for the weekend and looked after her wonderfully, sending us lots of videos and pictures of her! It was lovely to see she was having a great time, we’ll book her in again!”

“Laura was fantastic with our spaniel, took the worry away from leaving him. We loved receiving updates from Laura on how he was getting on. Would 1000% recommend Laura and will be using her again ☺️”

“Connie stayed with Nathan for just over a week and had a blast. She loved going to work with Nathan, which is great experience for her. Nathan was super caring and attentive especially in the heat we are having and gave updates and photos. It is definitely a home from home experience as well as a mini break for my dog who is very settled there 🫶”

“Melanie and Lewis were fantastic, befriended Blue very quickly and making her stay with them memorable for Blue. I was so pleased with the photos and updates I received from them regularly. I will be more than happy to use them again and recommend them highly.”

“Our irrepressible dachshund, Parsifal, always enjoys staying with Lesley and returns to us relaxed and happy. For him, staying with Lesley is a great holiday! Lesley always gives us daily updates and pics so while we’re away we know he’s in very safe hands”

“Ruby had a lovely over night stay with Vanessa and family. She’s previously enjoyed day care with them. She enjoyed lots of walks and attention from Vanessa’s boys. She didn’t want to come home! Updates were shared throughout. She’s looking forward to another stay in a month!”

“Frankie absolutely loves her stays with Hollie, Ed & Oscar. They look after her like their own and always keep us in the loop. I always know Frankie is in good hands and can enjoy my holidays without any worries. Thank you as always and I know Frankie is already looking forward to her next stay! X”
