“I recently entrusted my furry companion, Mara to the care of a wonderful dog sitter. From the moment I met her, I knew Mara would be in good hands. Vicky genuine love for dogs was evident. She welcomed Mara with open arms, treating her like family. Throughout Mara’s stay, the sitter kept me informed. I received delightful pictures of Mara exploring her new surroundings and even enjoying cozy nap times. It warmed my heart to see Mara so content. Vicky’s home became Mara’s second home. The environment was safe. The sitter always ensured Mara’s well-being. Whether it was mealtime, walks or playtime, she was there, ensuring Mara’s needs were met. I felt confident that Mara was in capable hands. If you’re looking for a dog sitter who genuinely cares, look no further. I wholeheartedly recommend her services. Your beloved dog will receive the same love and attention Mara did. Thank you, dear Vicky, for taking care of Mara as if she were your own. You’ve made a lasting impression, and we’ll be back!”

“Jaye and Johnny put us at ease with our elderly miniature schnauzer Salt from the moment we met them. Warm, kind and attentive with a clear love for canine family members we were confident Salt was going to fit right in and they would take care of our old guy who had a few are related health issues. They sent several photos of their time caring for him over the 3 nights he stayed with them and Jaye gave us assurances he was doing just great. They bonded so quickly with him and great they live so conveniently close by to us too so that was a bonus. Would whole heartedly recommend Jaye and Johnny to others looking for a canine home away from home ! Thanks again”

“Amazing service from start to finish. Cariana provided regular updates throughout Benny’s stay and was more than happy to accommodate any special requests we had. With Benny only being a 13-week-old puppy, he’s definitely not the easiest guest, but Cariana was absolutely amazing with him and went above and beyond in every way. It’s such a shame she doesn’t live closer, as we would 100% use her again without hesitation. Highly recommended!”

“Thank you to Lesley and Phil who took great care of Betty we will not hesitate to let betty stay with them again. They are very friendly and professional and kept in touch regularly we loved receiving messages and photos on how she was doing lovely people 😊”

“Chrissy has been amazing looking after our doggo for 6 nights. She kept us updated daily with photos and we returned to a relaxed and very at home pup when we went to pick her up. Would use again and can highly recommend.”

“Eva is absolutely incredible, she looked after her 10th-14th. Bare in mind I didn’t want too leave her but Eva kept reassuring me that she’s okay and she brought her a new collar as the one she had broken and she brought her some treats and taken her on loads of walks and playing with her favourite toys and then her a wash too and lots of cuddle I’ll be hundred percent booking her in with Eva again she was so understanding kind and caring I will deffo recommend her to anyone as my dog has anxiety and separation anxiety and she made our baby girl settled thanks EVA xxx”

“We were so happy with our decision to have Gregory board with Jennifer and her family. Shortly after making the booking, Jennifer reached out and we planned a short pre-meet before so that Gregory and her lovely dog Coco could meet, and we could share some information about them both. It was clear immediately that Jennifer and her family very much cared about making sure Gregory was going to have a comfortable stay with them, and he definitely did. During the boarding, Jennifer kept us updated with pictures of Gregory doing all his favourite things and he looked to be having an absolute splendid time, seemingly as comfortable as he would be in his own home! We will definitely be asking Jennifer to look after Gregory again in the future! 5 stars.”

“Our first time using Rover as our usual kennels mixed up our booking and left us needing to find somewhere at short notice. After drawing a blank at all nearby kennels, I gave Rover a try. Was simple to use and we were quickly matched with Jo. She arranged a pre-meet to get to know our dog and see if we were comfortable. She asked loads of great questions to make sure she knew all about our dog's needs and habits. We went ahead with the booking and Jo was superb - kept us up to date with photos, videos and details of what they'd been up to. Really helped set our mind at rest! Would highly recommend!!!”

About: Hello everyone! My name is Oksana. I'm originally from Ukraine, and I'm now building my own small business here in the UK. Like many animal lovers, I've always been surrounded by animals. I honestly can't remember a time in my life when there wasn't a little soul by my side. I've volunteered with animals in different countries, helped save lives, and found loving homes for dozens of stray animals. Through these experiences, I've learned that trust can't be forced — it's built with patience, kindness and love. I'm 36, and it has taken me years to finally find the field I truly want to work in. Now I know that caring for animals is not just something I love — it's where I feel I belong. Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, so I know how important it is to find someone genuine and trustworthy to care for your beloved family members when you can't be there. I hope I can be that person for you — someone who gives you peace of mind, knowing your pets are safe, cared for and in kind hands. Warm regards, Oksana Founder of Kindred Paws

“Kay took great care of Freddie (a Frenchie) when he was booked in for daycare. He was taken for a walks and felt relaxed enough to have a snooze in the sun when he was there too! Kay went the extra mile to get to know Freddie and I received updates on how he was doing, which was appreciated. She was also very understanding when the car I was travelling in broke down, causing me to be later than planned. I’d recommend Kay and hope to book in again soon.”

“What a woman?! From the off, Claires correspondance and communication was brilliant! We had a weird circumstance that we couldn't meet beforehand to introduce her, as we were travelling from outside the area, for just a short amount of time. This didn't put her off though, and despite me never having used Rover before, she seemed the perfect fit for my slightly nervous wee boy! On rocking up, she made him feel welcome immediately. She gave the fuss pot a wee chew, then took him down to her fully enclosed courtyard garden and let himself sniff about whilst tossing a squeak ball for him. She sent me photos throughout the day. (Though our signal was poor, we had them through all at once which was lovely!) On pick up he was happy to see us, but also not in any rush to leave! Thank you Claire for looking after my boy with such care. If we are ever in the area again and needed help, I would not hesitate to reach out!”

“Vanessa and her family were lovely with Maya and she has come back happy, and ready for bed! Vanessa sent lovely photos of Maya and her home felt a safe welcoming place to leave my lovely dog. Will definitely take Maya back there. Thanks!”

“Kelsie was great. She even took the time to meet up for a little walk before hand to see how my dog was with her lovely border collie. There is a wonderful field just seconds from the house for walks. Highly recommend!”

“Kate made us feel so comfortable and happy leaving Colin with her for the day (on his first birthday!). She was really flexible and responsive and you can tell she really loves animals and cares for them like they’re her own. I would recommend her to anyone :)”

“Benson's first time at a dog-sitter so I was anxious about leaving him, he's a big boisterous dog who can be nervous - I didn't need to be, he had a wonderful time, was looked after perfectly, very experienced and lovely sitters, highly recommend.”

“Eva took care of my dog Wanda for an afternoon. Everything went great and Wanda had a great time with Eva. I would definitely leave my Wanda with her again, she spent a great afternoon with lots of treats and cuddles.”

“Joanne was amazing . Our Cavapoo Freddie and our sons Cockapoo went to Joanne for day care while we had a day out . We dropped them off and Joanne brought them home , they were both very well looked after . We’ll definitely use Joanne again.”
“Our dog has such a lovely time with Amrita and her gorgeous dogs. It’s wonderful to know that she is happy and safe. Their house is gorgeous and they take really good care to make sure all of her needs are met.”

About: I have my own professional dog training business and have worked professionally with dogs for around a year. I have my own dog, who I have had from a pup. I have worked with service dogs in training at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. I have worked with multiple other dog walkers and trainers. I am fully insured privately and have an enhanced DBS check. I have experience with a lot of different dogs, including old dog, puppies, reactive dogs, aggressive dogs, and nervous dogs. I have recently finished university and gone full time self-employed as a dog trainer. I am very flexible to work around your schedule as needed. I have my own pup and a large enclosed back garden. “Would definitely recommend Christianne, she looks after Ted who struggles with separation anxiety once a week. Updates throughout the day and takes great care of him and his needs.”

“Hendrix came back happy and healthy.. puppies are super energetic and I felt bad Hendrix just wanted to play all the time he was there and didn’t rest (as he slept in the car on the way) Very appreciated Octavia-Louise, thanks for looking after him!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs since being a little child. From being puppies to adult hood I have the experience and knowledge of how dogs can behave and interact. I have experienced many different situations which has given me the knowledge and skills to be able to overcome any issues effectively. I understand how dogs may react differently depending on the situation and how to manage this. I currently work from home full time 5 days a week on weekdays. This gives me more flexibility regarding my work life balance along with my home life. I also have access to a car. In order to care for pets in the owners home I will get to know the animal and have through interactions with them in order to access their needs. Conversations with the owners will also provide me with more information in order to care for them in the best possible way.
About: My husband and I have looked after dogs for a number of years. These have varied, from puppies to adults, small to large, as well as high energy, confident to more nervous rescue dogs. What their stay looks like, is shaped around the needs of the dogs, their current routines, enrichment activities, exciting walks and any specific requests from their owners. We are passionate about creating an environment where a dog can thrive and develop in a home away from home. We have our own gorgeous pooch called Bonnie. She is very relaxed around other dogs, as she has socialised with dogs both inside and outside the home since we adopted her in 2024. She's very independent and calm in the house, but loves to explore with her fellow dogs when out and about on a walk. We also volunteer at a dog shelter, where we walk, train and lead enrichment activities with Romanian Rescue dogs. Through this experience working with a brilliant dog trainer and head of the charity, we understand that every dog is totally different, therefore, their care plan and routine need to reflect as much and be tailored to their personalities. As a result, we are confident with rescue dogs or those who are anxious and less confident. We typically take the dogs out for a morning walk, which will be roughly an hour. I work full time from home, which allows me to be home all day with the dogs. We will then have a shorter second walk, with playtime and enrichment thrown in! We have a fenced garden, as well as a field two minutes from our house, where dogs have plenty of space to run and play as they wish!
“Sue was wonderful with our cavapoo Toby. She scheduled a meet and greet before so he had his bearings, provided regular updates and pictures/ videos through the day and took him on two walks. Would recommend Sue to anyone in the area looking for daycare!”

About: I'm El! I had a dog from when she was a puppy right through to old age. We trained her with various commands when she was young as well as monitoring her care and medication when she was older. I have also helped with friends and families dogs with day to day care (fed, walked, bathed etc). I currently only have weekends and evenings/nights available to look after pets. I can also only look after pets in their owners home as mine is under renovations. Caring for pets in their owners home will needs to be discussed on a case by case basis for the pet and the owner. I will always enter caring for a pet with compassion and a nurturing mindset. Looking after a pet in their owners home I would need to understand the boundaries already in place and would want to know their expectations for their home and their pet before before services being agreed.

“I was staying in York for a week and Georgia and / or her partner Will took my dog for a walk each morning. It's a huge leap of faith to hand your dog over to someone you don't know, in a city that you don't live in but they both brilliant. Quick to respond to the booking, and flexible when both traffic and meetings meant we had to move the 2 of the booking times. They were prompt, friendly, kind, so knowledgeable and brilliant with my one year old cavapoo. I would wholeheartedly recommend them and will be calling on them again when I come back next year.”

I offer a 9am walk and a 4pm walk and I'm also available for a drop in visit in between, if you need it. These times can be flexed by agreement one hour either side. Skills: • Feeding and administering medication. • Dog walking & exercise. • Patient with nervous dogs. • Previous dog handling experience & training from my previous employment. • Basic first aid. Available Monday to Friday to walk your dog. Puppies accepted and I'm happy to provide some basic training tips to new dog owners if required. I have dog walking insurance ( not that it's needed) and I'm enhanced DBS checked. Your dog will be well cared for whilst in my custody and looked after with love.

“Sally couldn't give better care to my reactive border collie. With all the walks, play at home and her ability to help her calm down and relax I feel fully confident leaving Peppa in her care.”

“Milo had a longer stay with Jack a d Georgina - the first time we have left him for a couple of weeks. As always he was well cared for and we were kept updated with lovely photos whilst we were away.”

“River had an absolute blast with Laura. Laura kept us updated and sent us daily pictures of their adventures together. She was flexible with our collection and drop off times which was really helpful as our journey home took us longer than we expected. Would definitely recommend.”

“Vanessa was fantastic. Luna had a great time with her and her little family. Lots of updates and pictures, and made sure Luna felt fully at home away from home. Brill service!”

“Tom was great with our dog over Christmas. Local to us so our dog was very happy and settled in well. It was clear the stay went extremely well and we recommend tom, no hesitation. Will certainly go back next time. Thank you Tom.”

“Sharron is a lovely person, very caring and just perfect for our much-cherished Labrador. She made him feel at home and he seemed very happy, which was important to us. Highly recommended.”

“Anastasia did an absolutely fantastic job looking after our puppy. She asked all the right questions beforehand, which really reassured us that he was in great hands, and she kept us updated throughout with messages and photos. It was clear he was very well cared for and happy with her. Thank you so much - we wouldn’t hesitate to book again!”

“Our first time using Helen and she was fantastic; her communication and professionalism were apparent from the outset, as was her warmth and caring nature. Our retriever was grumpy when he got home which shows he’d rather have stayed with her 🤣”

“Rocko and Fred had the best time with Octavia, they seemed very at home when we went to pick them up and we would happily leave them with her again. Had so much more piece of mind that they were having a nice time and being well looked after rather than being at a kennel. Very friendly and accommodating with arranging a meet up before the booking, and our late pickup time after a flight. Kept us up to date with plenty of photos of them making friends with her own dog ?”
