“Poppy and I visited prior to Poppy’s holiday. She took to Nicky immediately and was very happy with her. When I took her back for her holiday, Poppy knew exactly where to go and was excited to see Nicky again. Nicky and Adam were well and truly amazing as well as their daughter who helped with walking and caring for Poppy. Poppy was very happy with them and all the love they gave her was wonderful. They all went above my expectations with her care and her finicky moments with feeding and treats. Even to the extent of Adam running with her in the garden and back to make a game of her feeding time too. Poppy loved having so many people paying attention to her and I will not hesitate to have Nicky and Adam to look after her again, I know Poppy will not accept going anywhere else in future. Thank you Rover and a very big thank you to Nicky, Adam and family for making Poppy so happy and content in your home.”

“We felt very happy leaving Rosie with Joanne. She clearly loves animals and Rosie really enjoyed her time with them. We only left Rosie there for the day as she hasn’t been away from us before, but she had a lovely day, we will definitely be booking for longer next time!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with a particular soft spot for dogs of all shapes and sizes. I grew up with a brilliant border collie, and as an adult I’ve shared my life with a valley bulldog and a throwback Pomeranian—so I’m no stranger to different temperaments, energy levels, and care needs. I regularly look after my mum’s poodle and happily jump at any chance to walk or care for friends’ dogs. Being around dogs has always been a natural part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pup’s unique personality. I’m very active and love spending time outdoors, so dog sitting and walking is the perfect way for me to combine my lifestyle with something that brings me joy. Whether your dog prefers long adventures, gentle strolls, or lots of cuddles, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’d love to meet your furry friend and give them the same care and attention I give my own. I’m currently taking some time off from teaching, which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to care for your furry friends. I’m reliable, experienced, and genuinely love spending time with dogs. I have lots of availability throughout the week, with the exception of school‑run hours, and I’m always happy to fit in walks, playtime, and cuddles whenever you need an extra pair of hands. I have a fenced garden and currently no other dogs at home after losing our beloved pomeranian Winnie. I have two children aged 5 and 8.

About: I've been a cat owner since I was 14 and have always had a cat in my life. I currently have my own cat, Flo, who means the world to me and has taught me just how important patience, routine, and affection are when caring for cats. I understand that every cat has their own unique personality, whether they're playful, shy, or independent, and I'm happy to care for them at their own pace. I'll make sure your cat feels safe, comfortable, and well looked after while you're away, giving them plenty of attention, care, and cuddles (if they want them!).

“Absolutely over the moon with Kayleigh! She has done a fantastic job looking after our two babies. Every day she has visited our cats, Kitty loves Kayleigh. She has gone above and beyond, watering our many plants too. We will definitely use Kayleigh again when we go away. She is highly recommended”
“Mark has recently looked after my 4 cats for the last 6 days. Mark came for a meet and greet when I initially booked which was some time before the actual visit, he also came again for a refresh the day before which I really appreciated. He was friendly and chatty and put me at ease and I knew the cats would be well cared for. I had updates everyday and lots of photo's. The house was clean and tidy and he was happy to go and search for the cats under the bed to make sure they were all ok. My 4 cats are rescue and not all of them good with strangers so this was very much appreciated. Thanks Mark!”

About: I’m a full time marketing executive for a company in Oswestry and photographer part time with my photography business Seren Neve Photography. I tend to work from home a little bit so anyone local that needs someone popping in to check in on their animals I’m happy to! I have over 10 years of experience with being around and looking after dogs, I used to have a Labrador so I’m capable of looking after a bigger dog also. One of our french bulldogs has severe allergies to where we have to give her medication 24/7 so I’m also capable of looking after a dog/cat who needs to take tablets in foods. I love to keep fit and I love going for long walks so I’m very capable with taking dogs on a nice long and calming walk, or if they prefer short I’m more than happy to do that as well and then come back to play with them in the garden/house. I love all dogs and cats, from big to small so I would be really happy to look after any! I tend to be free most evenings after work and majority of the time on weekends if I’m not out and about - again this can be handy if people need someone to walk their dogs. I will only visit other peoples houses as I already have 3 dogs at my family home. I would prefer going to other peoples houses.

“From the very beginning when I found Sue on Rover, I have felt relaxed that my boy is going to be in the best hands. We met up for a meet and greet first so he could meet her, and today he went for a day with her. Sue kept me updates throughout the day on how he was doing, which meant a lot to me. He is looking forward to his week holiday in April :) we couldn’t be happier knowing he is going to be so spoilt with Sue and Kim. Thank you both I have a very tired little boy now 🩵”

“Chloe did an amazing job taking care of Snoop! He can be a little aloof and not bothered by people but she settled him and sent so many pictures throughout the day to reassure us he was ok :) it meant we could relax knowing he was having fun on the hottest day of the year and was safe. Her pup is beautiful and I think he wore out our antisocial Snoop but he loved it ! Thank you”

All pets have free range of the house and are more than welcome to have a cuddle in bed at night.

About: I had my first puppy when I was 11 years old and helped my family train her. She became one of the nicest dogs I've known to date. At the age of 10, she unfortuantely developed a nasty cancerous growth of her mouth and during her final months, I helped care for her and was there for her final breath. I've helped family, friends and neighbours walk their dogs during school ages to make some pocket money and became very fond of my job. As a late teenager, I adopted an ageing dog from a friend who could no longer care for her. As she already knew me, her transition was an easy one. At 24, I bought my first puppy, who I trained by myself. He turned into a fantastic animal and at the right age, went and worked on a local farm. I've used both my energetic side and calming tendencies to help puppies develop and find their place in society and their family, and guide and care for elderly or sick dogs. We bring young puppies into our world, and it's important we're there as they leave our world too. From small to giant, I have love in abundance! I currently work part-time (roughly 16-20 hours p/week). Most of my work is from home. On the jobs I'm required to leave the house, I'm not away from my home for more than 2 hours. Therefore, I have plenty of time either side of my working commitments to dedicate towards various pet care. I have a well secured back garden with enough grass space to provide a good amount of play time for your pet. In the house, I provide a warm home with easy access to water and food throughout the day, and a cosy spot to snuggle up on the sofa or chairs. My house offers plenty of indoor space on the downstairs floor and a quite space can be provided for your pet should they require it. My two children are dog lovers like me and have been coached on the requirements dogs need. They know how to feed, water and take care of your pet. They are gentle and respectful at all times. I am a strong believer in teaching young children the values of respect, love and kindness towards all animals.

“Sarah is simply amazing! She recently looked after our excitable teenage Golden Retriever who we had never left with anyone else before. Our dog was initially nervous but Sarah knew how to ease him in. Sarah sent so many lovely pictures and videos which really showed how much fun he was having, but also how much Sarah cares about your dog during their stay. Sarah also understands how you as an owner may feel when leaving your dog with someone and built trust with us and communicated with us daily. I would certainly recommend Sarah and I think our pup howould be thrilled to go back!!”

About: As a teacher, I am naturally patient, reliable and caring, and I bring those same qualities to looking after animals. I absolutely adore pets and treat every animal as if they were my own. I do not have children, so my own dog is very much my baby, and I understand how important it is to find someone you can completely trust with your pet. I have experience caring for both cats and dogs, including looking after neighbours’ pets while they are away on holiday, regularly caring for my parents’ and sister’s pets, and dog walking for elderly neighbours. I am confident with animals of different ages and temperaments and always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable and loved. What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give to every pet. I know every animal has their own routine, personality and needs, and I am happy to adapt to what makes them happiest. Whether that is long walks, lots of play and attention, or a calm and gentle approach for older or more nervous pets, I will always provide the same level of care that I would expect for my own dog. I currently have 6 weeks off over the summer holidays. Due to not having children, I can be incredibly flexible with pet care. I take my own dog for 3 walks a day anyway and enjoy physical activity. I have one cavapoo boy dog who absolutely loves company. We have a lovely fenced garden that we will often play in, an endless supply of toys and even a small paddling pool for the summer hotter months.
