About: You can include that preference naturally in your Rover description: “I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs in my home, providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment where they are treated like family. I specialize in caring for small dogs, particularly Shih Tzus, and understand their unique needs, personalities, and routines. During their stay, I provide plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and regular walks to ensure they feel happy and secure. I prefer to board small breeds only, allowing me to give each dog the individual care and attention they deserve. My goal is to provide a calm, home-from-home experience and complete peace of mind for pet owners while they’re away.” “Pet care fits well into my routine as I enjoy spending time outdoors and going for walks. I offer boarding on weekends and during school holidays, giving dogs plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship in a safe, loving home environment.” I have a secure fenced garden and my own fur baby who is kind and gentle to keep yours company. I love dogs and will take care of yours and treat them as if they were my own.

It was great to see photos during the day too so that we knew he was happy. I'd definitely trust Laura to look after him again in the future.

I really can't praise Michelle enough for how she took care and looked after Bella and Bertie. I was quite worried as we had never been on holiday and left them for 11 nights before but I had nothing to worry about at all as they settled in so well and Michelle made them feel so much at home and sent me photos of them on a regular basis enjoying themselves. When we picked them up they were giving Michelle cuddles and kissing her which was a great sign that they had become really close to her. I will definitely be using Michelle again when we go away on our next holiday and I can't thank her enough for everything she did for them. I will certainly recommend her too.

About: Hi there, I’m Adam! I have a lovely greyhound and looking to socialise and work from home during Monday, Friday and I’m free the weekends to look after your furry friend. I have a 4.5 year old Greyhound who is called Lady, she is very good with other dogs, very gentle and well behaved. I know how important dog care is and have over 10+ experience looking after dogs throughout my life. I am doing this mostly for fun, I love dogs and love spending my free time with them! I am only free during Mondays/Fridays and weekends due to traveling for work. I am able to offer a daily walk for them while they board and plenty of play time. I live in a rural cottage in Droitwich and I have a large garden which is full enclosed. There is plenty of space for them to run, but also relax. I work from home and can make sure they have plenty of rest and playtime. I’m happy to walk them in the countryside during lunch!

About: Hello! My name is Patrycja and together with my partner we are caring and experienced dog owners with a lovely 4-year-old neutered dog called Lily. We understand how important it is to leave your dog with someone trustworthy, loving, and responsible. We offer a calm, safe, and cosy home for small dogs, where your pet will receive plenty of attention, care, and love. We have experience looking after dogs and we are comfortable giving medication if needed. What makes our service special: • We only take care of 1 dog at a time alongside our own dog Lily • Your dog will never be part of a large group or crowded environment • Meet & greet available before any booking, so you and your dog can meet us • Dogs are allowed on the sofa/bed and treated like part of the family • Fully fenced and secure garden for safe outdoor time • Smoke free home • No children in the home, providing a calm and peaceful environment • Plenty of supervision, cuddles, playtime, and regular walks • Regular updates and photos sent to owners for peace of mind Our goal is to make your dog feel safe, relaxed, and happy while you are away. Feel free to message us with any questions - we’d love to meet you and your furry child! As I work from home, your dog will have company, care, and regular attention all day. Your dog will receive lots of cuddles and love, and they’re welcome to relax on the sofa and sleep with us if that’s what they’re used to at home. I have a secure fenced garden and live in a lovely, quiet neighbourhood with plenty of great places for dog walks. I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

Saffi doesn’t want to come home at the end of the booking - think she’d be happy to move in permanently! We’ve got a week away in May and it’s so reassuring to know that Saffi is going to be well cared for and that I don’t need to worry about her while I’m away. Would highly recommend.

About: My experience with cats is limited to the personal, having cared and sat for my Grandma's cat (Tuppence, RIP) many times as a teenager. I was there for every part of her life with us - from picking her up from the shelter, to helping her feel relaxed in her new home, to her troubles as a senior cat and saying goodbye. I understand what it takes to love a cat and so I know how important it is to provide the best possible care for them.

About: When caring for your pets, they will always be treated as our own. We want to build a bond with them so they trust us and feel safe in their owners absence. Since we were young, we have always had a passion for animals and decided what better way to make use of our passion by looking after your furbabies 🐾 I currently work as a Civil Servant and I work from home. My job is extremely flexible working, which is why I have taken the leap to begin making my passion come to life. I am able to do walks before work, at lunch time and after work and can also do home visits around my work day. I am an active person, who loves my daily dog walks and being outdoors - but who also loves a cuddle too! We have a secure fenced garden, and 2 of our own dogs to keep your fur babies company. We will provide your pet with the stimulation and love they want and need!

About: I’ve always loved spending time with animals and have cared for cats and dogs for family and friends over the years. More recently, I’ve been house sitting and realised how much I enjoy looking after pets and keeping them happy while their owners are away. I’m a patient and caring sitter who takes the time to get to know each pet’s personality and routine. I’ll always make sure everything is clear by asking questions, and I love sending daily updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pets are in good hands. Whether it’s house sitting, walks or drop-in visits, I’ll treat your pets with the same love and attention I’d want for my own. Pet care fits smoothly into my daily routine. I set aside dedicated time for walks, play, feeding and attention, so I can give pets consistent care and companionship. During house sitting or drop-in visits, I make sure to follow each pet’s routine closely and can easily adjust to special needs or schedules. I also make it a habit to send updates and photos to owners daily, keeping them connected while they’re away. When caring for pets in a pet owner’s home, I treat their space and routines with the utmost respect. I follow any instructions carefully, making sure pets are fed, walked, and given plenty of attention and playtime according to their usual schedule. I’m patient and observant, so I notice any changes in behaviour or needs, and I make sure to communicate with owners through daily updates and photos. My goal is to keep pets happy, safe, and comfortable while their owners are away. My partner, Harry, joins me during house sits, we're more than happy to do a video call or meet up before hand so you can feel safe and comfortable with us both!

About: I have been caring for animals since childhood from dogs and cats to birds and small animals. Throughout my whole life I have always had a dog ranging from small breeds to the larger breeds and have considered each and every to be part of the family. With this came the experience of caring for puppies, training and all the way through to the senior years. My Monday to Friday schedule is dedicated to pet care, dog walking etc and I am available for house sitting during both weekdays (after 3pm) and weekends. When house sitting during week days I will be with your pet throughout the late afternoon to the morning taking care of their needs, feeding, walking, playtime, toilet trips etc calling in throughout the day and full time during weekends. I also typically like to schedule a meet and greet before any house sitting bookings in order to confirm that I am the right person to meet your pets needs. When caring for your pet in your own home I will try to keep to their usual schedule as much as possible and treat them as if they were my own. I would appreciate it if you would tell me about your pets in advance, things like are they sociable with other dogs while out and about, do they have any allergies or medical needs, if they dislike strangers or certain noises. I would also like to know what they are like in your home, do they have a favourite place to sleep, are they allowed upstairs or on the furniture or do they have a specific routine that you would like kept to. I also hold a full DBS and am fully insured, which I can provide evidence for.

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover, and caring for dogs is truly at the heart of my life. Nothing makes me happier than spending my days walking, exploring, and going on little adventures with them—followed by cozy evenings snuggled up together on the sofa. I believe a house full of dogs is a happy home, and I couldn’t imagine life without them. I take pride in being completely dog-focused and always giving them the love, care, and attention they deserve. I have a little chihuahua myself who is my baby. I work part-time Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays. If needed, I can work from home and just pop out when I need to for work purposes. My dog has the roam of the house and is allowed on the sofas and beds and so will other peoples doggies to! And when I’m out walking I don’t ever let off the lead just in case I use a long leash so I can still control.

Daryl & Becky were so lovely and couldn’t have made Rolo more comfortable at their home. They gave him an enriching walk as well as lots of cuddles and fuss throughout the day. They updated us with messages and photos throughout the day meaning we could see what Rolo was up to! He’s already booked in for another day soon ☺️

We would highly recommend Kirsty as she’s looked after our frenchie (yoda) for the past couple of weeks. She’s treated him like he’s her own, by little touches such as the paddling pool and doggie ice cream as well as lots of long walks and photos daily. He always gets really excited when he goes there. Will definitely be rebooking again. Thanks so much. Emily :) x Yoda will look forward to seeing you again!!!

About: I’ve looked after dogs for years as a sitter and walker, building up hands-on experience with all sorts of breeds and behaviours. That passion led me to start my own dog training business, where I now specialise in helping working breeds become calm, well-mannered companions. Whether it’s walking, feeding, training or general care — I treat every dog like they’re my own. Pet care is my full time focus. I run my own dog training business and work with dogs daily whether that’s walking, training, boarding or running structured sessions. I have a secure garden and two well-socialised dogs, so your dog will have calm, confident company during their stay. About: Hi, I’m Claire I’m a photographer by trade, but outside of work I’m completely dog obsessed. Friends and family are forever joking that I care more about the dogs than the humans, and honestly… they might be right. I offer dog walking and pet sitting, and I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s little personality. I’m confident with puppies, older dogs, nervous dogs, and dogs with routines that need sticking to properly. If they need medication, specific feeding times, slower walks, training consistency, or just a bit of patience, that’s absolutely fine. I know how hard it is leaving your dog with somebody else, so I’ll always keep you updated properly with messages and photos so you know they’re happy and settled. I’m reliable, calm, and very used to handling animals with different temperaments. Your dog will be treated like one of my own while they’re with me. I work from home as a pet and portrait photographer my studio is in my garden, if I have a shoot it's for 1 hour or a maximum of 3 hours editing a day on my pc so lots of time for attention and walks. I take my dog Cooper for very long and varied walks daily. I have a very secure garden that has a 7ft high perimeter fence, my dog can jump very high and he can't get out. I am very tidy and if caring for pets in your home take security very seriously, I will leave your home as you left it and happily clean any mess left by your pet

About: I've been around all creatures great and small for longer than I can remember, and have loved animals than I can remember still. My experience as a pet owner is with smaller mammals - I am the proud parent of two rats - while other pets I have experienced through relatives and family friends. I spent long summer days as a teenager cat-sitting for my grandma - I don't think Tuppence (the cat) ever quite warmed up to me, but she enjoyed using me as a place to sunbathe and very much liked when I would attempt to bribe her affection with treats. I have been around dogs my entire life and, more recently, have enjoyed work as a dog walker for a family friend and their animal-care business. This is where I have gained my professional experience in animal care, having completed a Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Diploma as part of this placement. Overall, I have experience with every variety of pet, including rescues and especially seniors. I'm currently formally unemployed, doing some casual work as a dog walker. Most of my time is spent with my gorgeous pair of rats (Baba Yaga and Kugrash), who are endlessly amusing and endlessly keeping me busy cleaning the out and creating new and incentive ways to engage them. As it stands, I have plenty of free time to spend caring for other people's pets - because every animal deserves the same love and companionship as my Mischief! I would be offering my services to care for your pet in your own home, so I would want to understand your typical routine and dynamic. In my Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Diploma, I learnt best practices for maintaining safety and trust for all involved, including rudimentary pet first aid (which I intend to learn more about).

About: I’ve taken care of a range of dogs over the last few years, from a super cute and cuddly cockapoo to a slightly stubborn but adorable staffy. I have the most experience with my own family dog who is almost 6 years old, which I take a lot of responsibility for. I am available for dog walks, pop-ins to check up on your dog, as well as house-sitting for your dog. I know how your dog is another member of the family, and I will be sure to take care of them like they are my own! I am currently a university student working part time, with the break for summer I have a lot more free time and availability on my hands. I am available for dog walks & check-ins most day, and boarding throughout the week! I currently don’t care for pets at my own home for safety reasons as my garden is not fully fenced in & my family dog (even though he likes other dogs) wouldn’t be happy with another pet in his house

About: ***TRAINING AS A DOG BEHAVIOURIST*** ***FULLY INSURED*** ***ENHANCED DBS CHECK*** ***CANINE FIRST AID TRAINED*** I have always loved animals and as we couldn’t have a dog of our own when I was younger, I did dog walking and sitting for friends and neighbours. We got a puppy 18 months ago, and he has changed my life in so many ways. When we first got him he lacked confidence and could be shy with strangers, but through all the research I’ve done to try and help him live his best life, I've realised just how passionate I am about dogs and how much joy I get from being around them. 🐶🐾 I can offer walkies, drop-in visits and dog sitting in your home. I’m happy to stay overnight with your pup, however due to having a young daughter I can only do this for one night at a time. I'm also currently studying for a Level 6 Diploma in Clinical Canine Behaviour through the Canine Behaviour College. This course is the first of its kind as it's Ofqual-regulated and was developed by well-known veterinary behaviourist, Tom Mitchell. This means I have a good understanding of dog behaviour and body language and am learning new force free training games and solutions for problem behaviours. Happy to talk about how I can incorporate training into walks or dog sitting if this is of interest. Please get in touch with any requests or questions, and I'll do my best to help! I work 4 days per week, but 3 of these are from home and I have a lot of flexibility with my workload. Happy to discuss how I can be flexible and move my schedule around to meet your needs. I know from personal experience how nerve-wracking it can be to leave a member of your family with someone unknown. I’m committed to making sure your pets feel happy and relaxed with me and I’ll follow any instructions about their care that you would like to provide. Please give me as much information as possible about them - they're all individuals and I want to put your mind at ease that they’re being looked after as if they’re my own.

I love getting out and going for walks so this is a perfect opportunity for me to be able to help someone else in the process! About: I’ve grown up with dogs all around and absolutely love them, the past year I have worked for a dog walking company. But would like more freedom and have decided to go out on my own. I’m currently doing a canine behaviours course, to give me a better understanding of why a dog could be reactive in a certain way and different ways to help them if I’m the right fit for the dog. I’m currently in the process of making my own dog walking company, I absolutely love going out on walks and being outside. And when you can combine that with a love of dogs, it makes the perfect job. I’m doing little jobs here and there so I can spend most of my time building something for myself, while doing my behaviour course. While doing a sit depending on what you would be wanting in the day, I will be with your pet from 6:30 till 8am the next morning. This way your pup will have plenty of company and can keep their evening routine. Depending on what your pups need I can also hire a secure field, so they can still get a good run around.

About: I am very loyal, trustworthy and reliable. I absolutely love dogs and dogs love me! I am experienced in looking after a variety of dogs and will offer you the upmost love, care and attention that your dog needs. I am very adaptable and very good at taking direction, so I will listen to your instructions and your dogs needs and follow them as necessary, just because I am really loving with some dogs, if you don’t want this with your dog, I know everyone is different I totally understand that and will do what’s right for you and your dog so please be re-assured you are in the right place. We can have a trial first if this helps to put your mind at rest. I want you to be able to be at work or on a night out, or even a long holiday and not be worrying in the slightest that your dog isn’t being taken care of properly, I know that feeling when our family dog was put into kennels for 3 weeks for a wedding and from that time I knew this is what I needed to do as some dogs just hate kennels if they have been bought up in a way and that’s when I decided to start taking care of people’s dogs that feel like they can’t go on holiday or go out as there’s no one like them to have them, non sense! I am your lady :-) xxx

About: I’m a qualified veterinary nurse who wants to ensure your fur babies are comfortable, fed and loved and cuddled whilst their parents are away! As a full-time veterinary nurse, I work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8am–7pm, with one in seven weekends. This means I’m available for evening visits on weekdays, and I have regular availability for weekends, Tuesdays and most weekends for longer stays. I’ll always keep my calendar up to date so you know exactly when I’m available. Your pet’s safety, happiness and wellbeing will always come first. As a qualified veterinary nurse, I’m experienced in recognising signs that a pet may be unwell and I’m confident caring for pets with different personalities, ages and medical needs. I always respect each pet’s boundaries, never force interaction, and take time to build their trust. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel relaxed, secure and loved while you’re away.

Veronika and family took great care of little Jules and I think she was a little sad to come home! Highly recommend and Jules will be back as I know she loved it.

María was very accommodating and friendly. She kept us updated with information and photos which made us feel reassured. Nova clearly had a great time playing with Willow. Overall an ideal boarding service for us and Nova. Very happy to have found María and Willow.

What a lovely lady. Loads of updates sent over the 24 hours (first time my dogs were with her so I was quite nervous). Both dogs seemed to have been happy whilst with her. I’ll be happy to use her again for my two.

Daryl and Becky did an excellent job of looking after our greyhound, Al, last weekend. They went above and beyond to make him feel at home and sent us lots of updates so we felt comfortable. They're lovely, trustworthy people and we feel confident leaving our baby in their care 😊

Chloe was a lifesaver - she looked after my dog when I went to my sister's wedding between Christmas and New Year, even though she was ill. It meant I could relax and enjoy the weekend, knowing my dog was happy and well looked after.

Laura was great with our Westie, Percy, looking after him during the day and overnight. It is clear that she loves dogs and that they had fun adventures together!

This is the third time we’ve left Saffi with David. Would always be my first choice of dog sitter. Saffi doesn’t want to come home at the end of the booking - think she’d be happy to move in permanently! We’ve got a week away in May and it’s so reassuring to know that Saffi is going to be well cared for and that I don’t need to worry about her while I’m away. Would highly recommend.

Bailey’s first weekend with Alana and Pasha and he was shattered when he got back home. We was informed daily with videos and pictures. They both really knew Baileys personality and taught him some tricks during his stay. I feel at ease with the care they both give to Bailey and will always use them going forward.

We left our Spaniel with Ian as we were on holiday, it was the first time we’ve left him and we were very anxious. Ian and his family kept us updated on how he was doing and sent us some photos. They are an experienced dog family, especially with Spaniels and Barney settled in well. I would definitely leave Barney with Ian and his family again. Thank you 🙏

A family friend usually dog sits for our dog Walter, so when, unfortunately, plans changed, we were stuck. I came across Rob on the Rover website and we apprehensively booked Walter in for a weeks stay. I can now say that there was no need for apprehension as both Rob and his wife Sarah treated Walter brilliantly and we feel as though he has actually had a holiday of his own. When we choose to go away again I know Walter will happily pack his bags ready for his own, next vacation, with them.
