About: I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember, growing up with them from birth and owning my own for the past 15 years. From the age of 10, I was walking dogs for neighbours and local families, which gave me early hands on experience and a real love of caring for dogs of all ages, breeds and personalities. I have trained a number of dogs including my own dogs and feel confident supporting a wide range of needs, from energetic puppies who need plenty of stimulation to older dogs who enjoy a gentler pace and extra cuddles. We are a very animal loving family made up of myself, my husband and our daughter, who has grown up around animals and understands how to be kind, gentle and respectful with them. Our home offers a genuine home from home environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. We share our home with Rosie, our 14 year old Collie x Poodle, Daisy, our 1 year old Labrador Retriever and our 16 year old Cat Bella who tends to keep herself to herself. As you'll see from the photos, they are very happy, friendly dogs and a huge part of our family. They both enjoy the company of other dogs and are used to sharing their space. We have a secure, good sized garden for safe outdoor play and love exploring the beautiful North Devon countryside, beaches and woodland walks. Whether your dog enjoys adventures, games or simply relaxing at home, we'll make sure they feel happy, comfortable and well cared for. Both my husband and I between us ensure one of us work from home each day of the week, which means dogs in our care have company and supervision for the vast majority of the day. Aside from short school runs or quick errands, someone is usually at home. If your dog is unable to be left alone, please get in touch as we can often accommodate this too. I know how important it is to feel completely confident that your pet is safe, happy and loved while you're away. Whether you're heading off on holiday, need regular daycare, or are visiting North Devon and want to enjoy an activity where dogs can't join, we would be delighted to help. Any dog staying with us will be treated as an honorary member of the family, with plenty of affection, attention and care. I'm also happy to provide regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your dog is having a wonderful time. As a dog owner, I use pet sitters myself when we travel, so I completely understand how difficult it can feel leaving your dog with someone new. I'm always happy to answer any questions and arrange a meet and greet so you can feel reassured that we're the right fit for your dog. I'm not the best at remembering to take photos of myself, but I've included some of our favourite pictures, along with our garden and a few snapshots from adventures with Rosie and Daisy. I hope they give you a feel for the happy, dog loving home we can offer. We both work from home, meaning your dog will have company and supervision for the vast majority of the time (around 95%), aside from short periods such as school runs or quick errands. We always prioritise being with any dog in our care, ensuring they feel settled, safe and never left for long periods. If they could not be left we can also work with this! I understand how important it is to feel your pet is safe and happy, whether you’re away on holiday or just need support during the day. If a working day our dogs get 2 - 3 walks a day from 30 minutes to 45 minutes in a range of different settings. We can meet any timetable for feeding required. I have a fenced garden and 2 friendly dogs that will support in keeping your pup entertained and engaged in games (they love tug of war and ball games!) and lots of cuddles and fuss throughout the day. We live in a quiet estate. We also can offer quiet area’s of the house if they need a little downtime to themselves where we can sit with them if required away from our pups.

I have a lovely Labrador called Ginny, who is almost 10 years old. She's extremely friendly, calm and absolutely loves meeting other dogs. She's very well trained, non-aggressive and easy-going...although she's a also a typical lab who's definitely easily won over with a bit of food and attention! I live with my partner, Joe, in a comfortable, dog-friendly home where visiting dogs can relax and feel part of the family. Dogs are welcome on the sofa and will sleep downstairs, so they can settle into a familiar and relaxed routine. We have a fully secure back garden and we're in a fantastic location for dog walks. There's an open field and woodland area directly opposite our home, with beaches and a canal also within walking distance as well as plenty of other wooded areas to explore. I also have a secure car suitable for transporting dogs, so I'm happy to take dogs out for walks or adventures further afield when appropriate. I'm happy to care for dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages, provided they are house-trained and not destructive or prone to chewing. I only take a maximum of two visiting dogs at a time, so I can give each dog plenty of individual attention and make sure they feel comfortable and settled. “I can’t quite express how thrilled and thankful we are to have found Julia! She’s everything we could ask for in a sitter and our little dog, Heidi had the best time! She was warm and friendly, and loved and cared for Heidi as if she was her own. Communication was excellent - she sent lots of pictures and updates, and responded quickly to messages. When we first met Julia at our meet and greet, she asked lots of questions and took the time to really get to know Heidi and us. Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond to make Heidi comfortable in her home. She even gave us a tour of her property so that we’d have an idea of where Heidi would be hanging out. Knowing that our girl was in such good hands made it easy for us to relax on our trip, and we didn’t worry about her once. When we arrived to collect Heidi, it was clear that she had really bonded with Julia and they’d become the best of friends - Heidi didn’t want to leave at first and kept running back for more cuddles! Safety, calm handling, and patience are always my priority. Drop in visits / home visits: If your pet is happiest staying in their own environment, I offer 30 minute or longer drop in visits. Visits can include letting dogs out for toilet breaks, feeding and fresh water, playtime and enrichment, litter tray cleaning, administering medication, and plenty of company and reassurance. I am also happy to help with small household tasks while you are away, such as watering plants, bringing in post, or turning lights on and off. You will always receive regular updates, photos, and messages so you can relax knowing your pets are safe and cared for. Dog boarding: I also offer short periods of home boarding for well matched dogs. Dogs staying with us become part of our daily routine and enjoy walks, enrichment, and lots of company. Our own dogs have morning and evening walks, shorter lunchtime enrichment, including plenty of sniffing games and brain work or just playing in the garden! They aren’t a terribly high energy bunch, so they’re just as happy relaxing by the fire with us too. We have a secure fenced garden and visiting dogs are always supervised. Introductions are done gently, often starting with a short walk up the lane so everyone can settle naturally. We are used to supporting nervous or reactive dogs and understand the patience and calm approach they need. Quiet spaces and a separate room are available for dogs who prefer their own area. About: I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember, growing up with them from birth and owning my own for the past 15 years. From the age of 10, I was walking dogs for neighbours and local families, which gave me early hands on experience and a real love of caring for dogs of all ages, breeds and personalities. I also have a secure car suitable for transporting dogs, so I'm happy to take dogs out for walks or adventures further afield when appropriate. “I can’t quite express how thrilled and thankful we are to have found Julia! She’s everything we could ask for in a sitter and our little dog, Heidi had the best time! She was warm and friendly, and loved and cared for Heidi as if she was her own. Communication was excellent - she sent lots of pictures and updates, and responded quickly to messages. When we first met Julia at our meet and greet, she asked lots of questions and took the time to really get to know Heidi and us. Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond to make Heidi comfortable in her home. She even gave us a tour of her property so that we’d have an idea of where Heidi would be hanging out. Knowing that our girl was in such good hands made it easy for us to relax on our trip, and we didn’t worry about her once. When we arrived to collect Heidi, it was clear that she had really bonded with Julia and they’d become the best of friends - Heidi didn’t want to leave at first and kept running back for more cuddles!
