“Phoebe had such a lovely time with Imogen. She loved spending time with Imogen’s two friendly dogs, and the overall environment of her home was safe and friendly. I would highly recommend Imogen, and will look to use her again when needed!”

“Pablo had such a lovely time staying overnight with Heather and her daughter. It was our first time using Rover and she made us feel so reassured and comfortable! Pablo loved playing with Heather’s dog Honey in their garden, and he came back such a happy and snoozy boy who had clearly had a fab time. We received regular updates and photos too - a perfect stay! Thanks so much Heather.”

“Our dogs spent the weekend with Daniel and have returned very happy. They’ve had a great time running around the big garden with Daniel’s family dogs. Daniel was very responsive and our dogs were comfortable with him from the start, I would recommend and we will definitely use Daniel again.”

“We were very apprehensive about leaving our 3 month old puppy but due to prior commitments we decided to give it a try with Cath - so pleased we did! Our pup had a great time and had the opportunity to socialise with Cath's and others dogs and came back after very happy. Cath sent through updates and pictures each day too. Would definitely recommend Cath and will be looking to book again.”

“Thank you Alex for caring for Thistle so well, and for all the photos, updates and kindness. You have gone above and beyond. She can’t wait for her next holiday with you!”

“Yan and her husband were amazing and most accommodating--they came and picked up Campbell and were very patient with her when she didn't exactly want to go! And then they brought her back to the pub where we were after the play. Great great experience! Will use them again--which is much higher of a compliment than anything we can say in a review!”

“Aoife looked after our 18 month old cockapoo Syd for the weekend while we went to a wedding. She did an amazing job, catering to Syd’s normal routine and habits, booked her into a dog park to play, and took her on outings as part of the family. Her communication was excellent and she regularly updated us so we could see how happy and content she was (Syd’s is a clingy girl so this was so reassuring!). Syd obviously enjoyed herself and had the best time playing with Mabel. She came home tired and happy. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Aoife again!”

“My dog Rupert had the most wonderful time with Jo - so much so he didn’t seem to want to leave! It’s evident how experienced Jo is with dogs, I’m very selective on who I leave Rupert with as he’s a nervous dog and requires eye drops administering every few hours but there was no concern leaving him with Jo who is so professional and put me at ease. She sent me updates throughout the day and so I was sure he was being well looked after. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jo and will definitely be booking Rupert in regularly!”

“Bellatrix had a fabulous stay. It was our first time using a sitter and all my concerns were alleviated upon first meeting. Rachel and her family made sure Bella’s felt at home and she settled v quickly. Cannot recommend enough”

“Absolutely superb care for our dog, who came back with a spring in her step after a week with Megan. Megan has lots of open space to explore safely, in a lovely area. She helpfully accommodated a necessary last-minute change and is approachable and friendly. Can't recommend her enough.”

“We cannot say enough good things about Jennifer! Our dog, Dookie absolutely loves spending time with her. It’s such a relief to go away knowing he isn’t just being watched, but truly cared for. Whether he’s having the time of his life out on the farm or relaxing at home, Jennifer ensures he gets tons of stimulation and attention. Dookie always comes back happy, and we can tell he’s been treated like family. If you’re looking for a sitter who genuinely loves animals, Jennifer is the best!”

“Sophie is brilliant! I left my little Maltipoo with her for a couple of days and she was so lovely and caring and attentive. Good communication and regular updates / photos throughout. The little guy was super happy, and was keen to go back. Would recommend Sophie any day!”

“This stay was great as always! My dog loves staying at their house. I received many updates with photos throughout and I could see my dog was genuinely relaxed and happy. I will definitely be coming back!”

“Dominika was able to help us out last minute thanks to her responsiveness. Bailey had a great time in a safe and caring environment and from the photos he was clearly very happy during his time with Dominika.”

“Lara was absolutely amazing with Olive and Bailey. They both are full of energy and Lara made sure they get enough of exercise. We also received regular updates with photos and videos. I could see they both were well looked after and happy. I highly recommend Lara and would love if she looked after Olive and Bailey again.”

“Julia really looked after our two girls amazingly for a few days. She gave them so much attention and walks, which they loved and they were so happy in her care. Thanks Julia, we won't hesitate to ask you again next time!”

“James took great care of Bailey and I couldn’t be happier with her stay. He sent me regular updates and photos throughout, which was really reassuring and gave me peace of mind. Bailey came home happy, relaxed and clearly well looked after. Communication was excellent, and the whole experience was smooth from drop-off to collection. I would definitely book with James again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

About: I absolutely love cats and have plenty of experience keeping them happy, safe, and comfortable. I am highly attentive to their unique personalities, whether they love energetic playtime with feather toys or prefer quiet company and gentle head scratches. I strictly follow feeding schedules and keep litter boxes perfectly clean.
“Annie and Benjamin provided a drop in visit for us. They did a meet and greet a few days before, and on the day they did exactly as we had asked. We had never left our dog before but unforseen family circumstances left us worried about what to do. We had no need to be worried, it was so reassuring knowing that our boy was in good hands, Annie and Benjamin were brilliant and cannot thank them enough.”

“Naomi was fantastic from start to finish. Friendly, organised and highly reliable. My cat warmed to her very quickly and I was completely at ease while away for nearly 3 weeks. Would definitely use again and highly recommend. Thanks Naomi 🙏”

About: Growing up locally, we have always had cats in the house! Across my lifetime, I have owned a total of 10 cats, ranging from 5 week-old kittens who unfortunately left their mum too soon and teaching them basic life skills, to our previous 19 year-old cat who needed a bit of extra TLC.

“It was Holly’s first visit but she took the time to get to know the dogs. I have one who’s really not good with new people, but the fact she was able to take a pic of him sitting quietly in the garden speaks volumes. Delighted to have found someone reliable and fairly close by who I can call on when I can’t be there myself.”

About: Hi! I'm a genuine animal lover who works from home, so your pet will have plenty of company, attention, and care throughout the day. For cats we can offer separate secure spaces and tailor to specific needs like feeding and medication. I share my home with my friendly 18-month-old female Cockalier and my laid-back 5-year-old male cat, both of whom are used to being around other animals. My home has a large, secure garden for playtime and exploring. I aim to provide a relaxed, home-from-home environment where pets feel safe, happy, and loved. Whether your pet enjoys playing, snoozing on the sofa, or receiving lots of fuss and cuddles, they'll be treated like part of the family. Of course, there will also be plenty of treats (with your permission!) and regular updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I

“Annie was absolutely lovely with my cat. Very attentive and caring, and she got many lovely photos from the days she visited. I'd highly recommend her, and will definitely be using her services again in the future 😁”

About: I have my own cat who is a huge part of our family and happily mixes with our family dogs. He’s calm, loving, and such a comforting presence, which has given me a real appreciation for how special cats are. I understand their need for routine, gentle interaction, and quiet company, and I always let cats lead the way.
“We were so pleased that we found Sarah to drop in on Poppy, our little working cocker spaniel. Sarah came to see us the evening before, to meet Poppy and discuss the arrangements, and then fed and walked Poppy during the drop ins while we were at our son's wedding. She sent us some lovely photos of Poppy and details of the visits. It gave us such piece of mind, particularly as Poppy hasn't been well. Poppy was very settled and content when we returned. I can heartily recommend Sarah, and, if we lived closer, we would be more than happy to use her services again.”

“I went away for more than three weeks, leaving my four cats, for longer than I had ever left them before. Olivia, was excellent sending daily reports and photos and videos. Even when one of my cat's, Claudious became ill and had to go twice to the vets, Olivia, took him to the vets and cared for him and gave him his medication. So, at a distance I could watch his recovery, and feel reassured he was in good hands. I can't thank Olivia enough, for her excellent care and loving affection she has given to my four cats. Whom, I am sure will miss her!”

I felt assured that the boys were in good hands during our holiday and we’ve found our new local cat sitter :) would defo recommend and use again. Thanks Brittany”

About: I've always had cats, and to me, a home isn't quite complete without one wandering about or curled up at the foot of the bed. I'm a genuine feline fan and currently share my home with two cats of my own. I understand cat behaviour, independence, and the little quirks that make each one different, from confident lap cats to shy hiders who need patience and space. Whether it's feeding, litter care, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I treat every cat with the calm, attentive care I'd want for my own.

“Laura arrived at the agreed time for a drop in visit, followed entry instructions gave our dogs plenty of time and sent us photographs of them in our garden. When she left the dogs were secured and the house locked properly. Many thanks. A good job done.”

“Jo is absolutely fantastic! She took amazing care of my dogs—they adored her. Every morning they were so excited to see her, they’d practically drag me down the street just to get to her. It’s clear she truly loves what she does. Highly recommended!”

“Julia was truly amazing with Ripley! Really kind and loving. Would definitely recommend! Her house is so lovely and the garden was a great place for Ripley to be out and about in! :) 🐾”

About: We are Claudia and Sean, a married couple in our mid 30s, living in Blockley with our 3 year old Cavapoo Milo. We have been home and dog sitting for 7 years professionally, through Trusted Housesitters with over 20, 5* reviews and now we have dogs to stay at ours for boarding, day care and sitting. Having relocated from London, we understand how important it is for dogs to continue socialisation and training and company. We are comfortable caring for dogs in all types of weather, capable of managing the heat and ensuring your pets safety. We have experience with a variety of dog breeds, however at this time we are only able to accept smaller dogs. Our usual dogs are cockapoos, cavapoos and dashounds. We are comfortable administering oral and other medication, eye drops etc. We run our own pet sitting business and therefore all dogs will be cared for by both of us, unless notified otherwise. We have been on trusted house and pet sitters for years and have just transferred over to this platform. We live in a rural setting with an enclosed garden, dogs feel right at home in our cottage. We have great walks on our doorstep. We are happy to have your dog overnight with us, or housesit for you within a 20 minute radius.
“It was the first time I’ve left my 2 poms with anyone other than family but Alex was so good with them, made me feel reassured and sent me lots of updates. They were very happy and look forward to their next play date with Alex and Bella 😍”

“Scarlett is amazing. My dog always seems happy and relax staying at hers. Gets some amazing walks in so we have a tired pup when he’s home. Her flexibility has really helped with our jobs so we know our pup is in good hands while away.”

“Cath and the dogs in her home were all amazing with my 7month old puppy who can sometimes be a bit anxious of meeting new people and dogs. Cath kept me updated with pictures and videos of the pups playing and snuggling together which was really reassuring. Can’t recommend her enough, my puppy can’t wait for her next visit!”

About: I’ve taken care of people’s pets from big to small for over 15 years. I have grown up with dogs from Jack Russels to labradors. Friends and family often trusting me with their furry family members. I also have two friendly dogs of my own. I have flexibility with my work so am able to work from home very often depending on the week. I often walk our dogs before and after work, and allow them to have a relaxing time during the day with plenty of cuddles in the middle if they’d like them. I understand it’s important to allow dogs to have their own space, and it’s great that we have a fenced garden with plenty of room to get outside and play. Being situated in a village in the countryside means some lovely walks. You can rely on me to care for your dog just as if they were my own.
“Eddie absolutely loved his stay with Aoife and her beautiful dog, Mabel and we couldn’t be happier! Aoife is so lovely and caring and we felt comfortable from the moment we met her. She sent us photos and updates during Eddie’s stay which reassured us that Eddie was enjoying himself. He was very “happy” tired when we got home which is always a good sign! We cannot recommend Aoife highly enough and will be booking Eddie’s next daycare very soon.”

About: Hi, I’m Alice! 👋🐾 I’ve always been the person my family and friends call when they need someone they can completely trust to care for their pets and home while they’re away. After years of looking after dogs, cats and homes for the people closest to me, I decided it was time to turn something I genuinely love into a professional service. As a dog owner myself (my energetic Springer Spaniel, Ernie, certainly keeps me on my toes!), I understand that every pet is unique. Some dogs thrive on long countryside adventures, while others are happiest with a gentle stroll and plenty of sniffing. I always tailor walks and care to suit your pet’s age, breed, energy levels and routine. Ernie happily walks for up to an hour, so I’m more than comfortable with active dogs, but I’m just as happy taking things at a slower pace for puppies, seniors or more relaxed companions. Outside of pet sitting, I work in creative production where organisation, communication and attention to detail are part of my everyday life. I’m also a volunteer with the British Red Cross Emergency Response Team, so remaining calm, dependable and prepared comes naturally. Whether I’m caring for your pets or your home, you can be confident everything will be looked after with the same care and respect I’d expect for my own. What you can expect Every visit is centred around keeping your pet happy, comfortable and sticking to the routine they’re familiar with. Depending on your booking, this could include: 🐾 Walks tailored to your dog’s individual needs 🐾 Feeding, fresh water and administering medication if required (provided I’m given clear instructions) 🐾 Playtime, enrichment and plenty of fuss (if they enjoy it!) 🐾 Cleaning up after pets and keeping their living areas tidy 🐾 Lots of cuddles, companionship and reassurance while you’re away 🐾 Regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy If I’m staying in your home, I’ll also happily bring in post, water plants, put bins out, and leave everything clean, tidy and secure. Caring for different personalities Not every pet is instantly confident—and that’s absolutely okay. I take the time to let nervous or shy pets get to know me at their own pace and always use positive, patient handling. For energetic dogs, I’m happy to provide plenty of exercise, play and mental stimulation to keep them occupied. My priority is making sure every animal feels safe, respected and cared for as an individual. My aim is simple: to give you complete peace of mind while you’re away. I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own, keep your home safe and well looked after, and ensure you return to happy pets and a home exactly as you left it. I can’t wait to meet you and your four-legged family members! 🩷🐶 I work full-time but have a flexible hybrid schedule and work from home on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, so I can offer plenty of company, walks, toilet breaks and attention throughout the day. I’m also available for evening visits, overnight stays and weekends. As a dog owner myself, pet care is already a big part of my everyday routine! I’m used to planning my day around walks, feeding and making sure my own dog gets plenty of attention and stimulation. I know how much trust it takes to leave both your pet and your home in someone else’s hands, so I’ll always treat both with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, toilet breaks, sleeping arrangements and any specific instructions you leave. I’m careful with doors, gates and leads, and I’ll always make sure pets are safe and settled before leaving. I’m also very respectful of people’s homes and will keep everything clean, tidy and secure. Most importantly, I’ll send regular photos and updates so you can relax while you’re away knowing everything is in safe hands.
“Mikey was punctual, very pleasant and happy to chat about his experience with dogs. He accompanied my husband on a walk with Sully so hubby could brief him on Sully's traits and habits and also to see if Sully took to him. All went smoothly and I'm now feeling happy that we've sourced a great dog walker for those times when we are unable to do it. Thank you so much, Mikey!”

“Annie completes weekly walks with our dog and she’s great! Ralph loves her and enjoys his walks. She’s friendly and communicates well and we feel comfortable with her coming in and out of the home whilst we’re working. We recommend Annie! X”

“Shannon is so great. My dog enjoy his walk with her and is always happy and relaxed when I get home. She is reliable and great at communicating. I would not be without her!”

About: New to the game of pet sitting because of a terrible experience with a cattery, want animals to feel safe and not stressed. What else can I say? I am currently working full time but doing 12 hour shifts so regularly only work 3 days a week but am looking to drop down hours to fulfil this even more. I am not offering any over night stay in my own home as there's no space or garden. I do have my own furbaby who stays indoors but has the run of the house at any given time.
About: I am currently studying Bio-Veterinary Science and have spent the past three years working alongside veterinarians as a helper as part of my course, gaining valuable hands-on experience in animal care. I have also worked at a dog kennel since the age of 15, giving me over five years of practical experience with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. On top of this, I have always had a pet dog of my own, so caring for animals comes naturally to me I truly understand the love, attention, and patience they deserve. I would give them love and attention whilst your out and walk, feed and look after your loving animals ! Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine as I only attend university three days a week, and each of those days I’m only in for about an hour. This means I have plenty of free time and flexibility to dedicate to walks, playtime, feeding, and giving pets the attention they need throughout the day. In my home, pets will have access to a safe and secure garden ( fenced ) where they can play and enjoy fresh air. I make sure they get regular walks, tailored to their energy levels and needs, along with plenty of playtime, cuddles, and attention. In a pet owner’s home, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible whether that’s feeding times, walks, or any special instructions—so pets feel comfortable and cared for in their own space.
About: I have an 8 year old female Cocker Spaniel. Experience with drop in visits to friend’s dogs. New to Rover as a sitter myself. I am a teacher by day working 4 days a week. Mondays are my free days so have full availability on a Monday to suit your needs. I have a small fenced in garden. My garden does have astro turf. I can drive so happy to travel with your pup or to walk in your local area.
About: I currently work at a vet practice - I love cuddling pets everyday! I unfortunately lost my dog at the start of the year so I am looking to fill the hole with cuddles and pet sits! I’m currently working around 32 hours a week, so I can be available for morning and evening drop ins. I don’t work the weekends so I can be available full time then. I feel pets are better in their own environment so I prefer coming to their homes to sit! I can crate difficult dogs if needed :)
About: I absolutely adore animals, and my gentle giant Loki and I love welcoming extra furry (and feathered!) friends into our world. Whether it's a quick pop-in to check on your pet, a refreshing walk, or staying over to keep them comfortable in their own home, I treat every animal with the same care and patience I give my own. At home, I share my life with Loki (a giant breed dog), 2 cats, 2 chickens, and 3 quail, so I'm genuinely comfortable with all kinds of animals and their quirks, big, small, feathered, or four-legged. As a giant breed owner myself, I know how much trust it takes to hand over care of a large or strong dog, and I bring that same calm, confident energy to pets of every size. I live in the countryside and spend much of my own time outdoors, so walks are never rushed. I know beautiful routes right from the front door, plus a short drive to woodlands, parks, and National Trust grounds 🌳. For house sitting and pop-ins, I focus on keeping your pet's routine consistent and stress-free, so they feel safe and loved while you're away. Your pet isn't just "looked after" with me. They're cared for the way I'd want mine cared for. I work from home so your pet will always have some company. I can accommodate your special pet care needs and happy to provide whatever you need! I have a gated courtyard and a large grassy garden for your pets to enjoy! Your pet will be welcomed into our loving, caring and secure family cottage.
About: I have had pets my whole life and looked after family, friends and strangers animals for over 10 years. I believe all animals deserve the best care from their owners and/ or pet sitters. I have experience administrating/ injecting diabetes medication for dogs and have looked after deaf, blind, big or small dogs. I’m currently working part time, so roughly 3 to 4 hours a day so pet care works really well with my schedule as there is no long periods where they are left alone! I have a secured garden where my own dog roams and has not managed to escape for 10 years! There is grass and lots of various things for them to sniff around and explore.

“Thank you Alex for caring for Thistle so well, and for all the photos, updates and kindness. You have gone above and beyond. She can’t wait for her next holiday with you!”

“Sophie is brilliant! I left my little Maltipoo with her for a couple of days and she was so lovely and caring and attentive. Good communication and regular updates / photos throughout. The little guy was super happy, and was keen to go back. Would recommend Sophie any day!”

“Willow spent a lovely weekend with Deborah and Paul, who kept her safe and comfortable during the heatwave. Willow loved spending time with Deborah’s two dogs and they all got along really well. I always have complete faith that Willow is in safe and competent hands with Deborah. Thank you.”

“Kate was so lovely and was great with Zane! Zane is typically a bit nervous with new people and Kate really took the time to allow him to feel comfortable with her. Kate gave lots of updates as well as showed a genuine care for Zane (and also my house bunny Sunny who was also at my house when she sat). Kate is very kind and gentle in nature and is also great at communicating. Very easy going. Would definitely book Kate again :)”

“Piper had a good 3 week stay with Daniel. We received updates throughout, which really put our minds at ease, and by all accounts she was very well looked after. When she was collected happy and content we’d definitely recommend Daniel and would happily book again!”

“We had a last minute booking with Scarlett and we were so lucky to have her looking after Luna. Scarlett was very chilled with Luna which is great as she is high energy and sensitive. She was more than happy to do Lunas eye drops and make adaptations for her too, very happy with her care.”
