About: I grew up with large dogs breeds and have owned my Rottweiler for 7 years. She is currently on an extended visit with my parents so there is no other dogs in the home. I recently closed my business so I will be able to dedicate 100% of my time and energy to caring for your dog. As someone who owns my own dog, I know how stressful it can be to trust someone to care for them - I can provide a safe, loving home with a large fenced garden offering security and peace of mind. I recently closed my business and am taking some time to recalibrate and rest. This means that I have no daytime commitments beside your furry friend. I have a fenced in 1 acre garden that your pet will be able to enjoy fully without any risk. I normally have two dogs, a spaniel and a Rottweiler but both are with my parents till the end of the year so it’ll be just me and your pet/s.

I was a bit anxious since she was diagnosed with diabetes earlier this year as she has to eat to get the insulin and she can be funny with new people and places but I needn’t have worried. About: I’ve been around pets my whole life and grew up with a family dog from the time I was 8 into adulthood. I developed a love for caring for his needs, which lead to becoming passionate and taking initiative about his training. The more involved I was, the more I wanted to learn and deepen my understanding and care for animals, from bathing, training, different breeds and their behaviours, and overall care. Over the years, I’ve looked after a wide variety of pets for friends and family, from playful puppies to senior companions. About: I’ve loved and cared for pets since I was ten, and over the years I’ve looked after more than 10 cats and 5 dogs. About: Ive had 2 dogs for the last 17yrs . Of which we had 2 litters from . I adored the whole journey from puppy to seniors all come with different challenges and demands but Sooo rewarding to have relationships and experiences together. Since my 2 dogs have passed find myself caring for friends and family's pets .. so it seems the natural order to board for those who dont have that facility. I love having the company of dogs in my home. Gets me out exploring our beautiful walks . I am at home most days although I have an art workshop close by so can often be found there. In which case the dogs come with me and have space to raom there securely too. So I am around for enjoying each other's company and there for treats cuddles and toilet breaks . I live in a home with both front and back garden both fully enclosed . Although I do like to make use of our many gorgeous walks locally so aren't stuck in one place all day. I can offer a crate for your dog to sleep in if required although happily have them loose if they prefer.

They love her as much as we do and we really feel so relieved knowing she is not only being very carefully looked after but being shown the love they show their own beautiful dogs. We absolutely love that we get hand written daily schedules with little cute notes and advice, also a score of how good Orla has been(only ever 10’s so far!) hehe but it’s just another thoughtful thing they do to show us how much the care. We are so lucky they really know how to train dogs too and are helping us massively by training Orla too! We get lots of pics, videos and messages throughout the day to keep us in the loop and it’s brilliant seeing Orla have a great day. I always try to give every dog a home boarding experience that makes them feel comfortable and like they are in a home away home. Our daily and weekly routine is as follows. 7am - I complete breakfast time and morning walks allowing the doggies to enjoy waking up, enjoying locating sticks, sniffing spots and exploring till 9am. 9am-12 - Working from home I ensure the dogs have constant supervision with the doggies free to enjoy the garden and partioned part of the house until 12. 12-3pm - After the afternoon walk (12-1.30pm) we have rest time where the doggies can enjoy relaxing in the house, watching Bluey or dog TV and the most important things (doggy yoghurt ice lolly and cuddles). If everyone has been good we stop at Starbucks for a well deserved Puppacino. 3-5pm - I usually finish work by 5pm where I organise dinner time and evening adventures (Roslin Glen, Musselburgh Lagoons & Holyrood Park are my favourite evening walks). 8-10pm - Winding down time is where we begin to get settled in for the night with relaxing in the garden and movie night with popcorn. Each dog is different and we make sure to make them feel comfortable and make their stay with us as much as like being at home as possible. For dogs boarding with us my non negotiable is that every dog upon arrival will be checked in and issued with a GPS collar with our contact details

About: I am a sign language user and bikepacker with a love of dogs and cats. I have a mixed chocolate Labrador dog named Molly back home in Edinburgh, who is very lovable with a huge personality. I also had a cat called Socks who used to love coming on walks with me and the dog through the park and up the Braid Hills. Over the past year since I started providing my services on Rover I have looked after a cat for a family on holiday, a spaniel puppy for a couple, my neighbour's two labrador dogs Zephyr and Pyrrha for a month house-sitting while my neighbour was away on holiday. And more recently house-sitting three British Bulldogs. My father is also a local dog-walker so sometimes I join him on walks with the pack. So I have experience house-sitting at someone else's place. I am flexible when it comes to short-term or long-term arrangements, with different breeds and range of ages from puppy to elderly. I also have experience and the ability to handle larger dogs like Irish Wolfhounds, such as during my bike-packing adventures through Ireland where I met an Irish Wolfhound named Sétanta and walked him. I find that animals are naturally drawn to me and feel easy going with me. I am very observant of dogs' body language, and I wear a hearing aid so I am able to hear if that's the case. I am a bikepacker currently at home, not travelling at the moment. As I move to a different location, if I am travelling, I usually update where I am as I normally stay in an area for 3-7 days. I provide pet care as a way to make some extra income while I travel. Very flexible with the duration of time staying at a pet owner's house. Possibly long-term of multiple months, with daily pet care (multiple walks, exercise, treats, wash/baths). Dogs and cats are naturally drawn to me and almost always approach me in public. I am very laidback and easygoing but I can be firm when needed to be. Capable of handling large dogs such as Irish Wolfhounds, as i have experience walking them. I am 6ft4 and strong enough to keep Irish Wolfhounds heeled. Since I am deaf, I am very observant. Though I do wear hearing aids and am able to hear dog and cat sounds (barks, whining, meowing etc), I rely more on my visual skills, so this enables me to develop a good rapport with the animals I care for. I am very attentive to the needs of pets in my care, and I will ensure they look to me for guidance.

As I work from home, dogs staying with me won’t be left on their own. My home has plenty of space and a secure garden, giving them lots of room to relax, play and feel comfortable. Getting to know each dog’s personality is something I really enjoy, and I always want them to feel happy, settled and well cared for. I’d love to get to know your dog and make them feel at home while they’re in my care! I work from home, so I’m around throughout the day and can give your dog lots of attention, walks and playtime. About: Myself and my partner Lorimer have both owned and cared for animals for most of our lives. Whilst we do not have any furry friends of our own right now, we would love to spend time with yours! We are both comfortable with cats and dogs of any size. I work full time from home Monday to Friday with a very flexible working pattern. They’re all boys and all very different, so I’m used to different personalities, routines, and giving each pet the care and attention they need. I’m comfortable with automatic litter boxes, pet feeders, and water fountains, and I know how important it is to keep everything clean, topped up, and running properly. Looking after my own cats has made me patient, reliable, and very aware of the little things that help pets feel safe, settled, and cared for while you’re away. I work part-time from home and study Law full-time at Edinburgh Napier, so I’m used to managing my time well and have a fairly flexible schedule. I also have my own car, which means I can be flexible with travel and visit times. I have five cats of my own, so caring for pets is part of my everyday routine. At home, I use fully automatic litter trays and clean them daily, including emptying waste, topping up litter, checking the app, and cleaning the sensors to make sure everything is running properly. I also use automatic water fountains and feeders, so I’m used to topping up water regularly (especially with five boys who drink a lot), keeping everything clean, and making sure food is given on a set schedule with the right portion sizes—not too much and not too little. In a pet owner’s home, I’d follow the same level of care and attention, keeping everything clean, consistent, and comfortable for your pet.

About: I grew up with energetic spaniels and labradors for most of my life and in more recent years have started dog sitting for friends. Myself and my fiancé Emily love spending time with dogs but unfortunately are not able to have a dog of our own due to work travel commitments mid week.
