“This was our first ever time using home boarding for Kaiser and it went even better than we could have hoped. Kaiser had a better holiday than us! Anne provided him with a loving home and a stimulating social life. We know now that we have found the perfect home from home every time we go away and it’s guilt free as he has a ball!”

“Kirsty was reliable, timely and checked in with me while Benji was with her. He was a happy boy on both leaving and returning. I’d happily recommend Kirsty and use her again for overnight boarding.”

“Nicky and Craig were brilliant with our dog Durham while we were away for a couple of days. They were great to deal with, friendly, and being local made everything so easy. We'd happily recommend them! Durham says he enjoyed his stay! 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾”

“Tilly had a great time with Gillian, on one of the wettest days of the year she got some lovely walks and cosied at her house. Gillian is so lovely and I would highly recommend her and Tilly wants to know when she can see her again. 😊”

“Absolutely brilliant! I'm confident that my dog had a great stay with Claire. My dog is quite a sensitive soul and Claire was clearly attuned to her and kept me updated with honest feedback about how she was doing. My dog also got on really well with Claire's dog and made a new pal. I'll definitely be making more bookings in the future. Thank you Claire!”

“Monika was great with our cockapoo Jessie. She was very helpful and arranged a meeting before Jessie stayed with her which was helpful because Jessie can be a bit wary of people she doesn't know but once she's warmed to someone she is very happy. Although a bit nervous at first Monika helped Jessie feel settled and she sent me updates with pictures throughout the brief stay. I would be very happy for Jessie to stay with her again.”

“I couldn't recommend Marcela enough! This was the first time I'd left my puppy with a dog sitter, so I was naturally a bit little nervous, but she made the whole experience so easy! She made sure I felt comfortable, kept me updated with lots of photos and videos, and it was clear Picanha was happy and well looked after 😍 Marcela was also really reliable and flexible with timings, which I really appreciated. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after. I'll definitely book with her again in the future, and I'd happily recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter. Thanks so much, Marcela ❤️”

“Rocky had the best time with Dani and Dougie. We got regular updates about all his walks and the people he met who all loved him. We got photos and you could see how happy he was everytime. Dont think he was happy about us picking him up from his holiday from home. He was spoiled. Would recommend to everyone and will book again without a doubt. Thank you Dani and Dougie 🐾”

“John we can’t recommend you enough, your care and attention with Eddie has been amazing. You adapted walks to help with Eddie’s anxiety which we are so grateful. We could relax on holiday knowing Eddie was in great hands with lots of love and care. Thank you so much and we will definitely be booking again. We are so lucky to have found you for our precious boy. Thanks again John x”

“Oh my goodness, I cannot praise Kim highly enough, she was absolutely brilliant with my very sensitive poodle from start to finish - plus I received regular reassuring updates throughout his stay - I shall definitely be booking with Kim again, Kipper loved her!!”

“Thank you so much to Jessica who was such a perfect dog sitter for us today. The whole experience of booking/exchanging information/making arrangements for drop off and collection was perfect. Jessica sent updates throughout the day and gave Kipper such a nice day. We could not have asked for more.”

“We couldn’t ask for a better sitter for Loki. Derek looked after him for 4 days while we were away. He kept us updated with pictures and videos on daily basis. It’s clear that both Derek and his wife are great dog sitters. They both made sure Loki was getting his medicine regularly, lots of walks, and even good night sleeps in their own bed. Loki was really happy when we picked him up; looked well fed and brushed. He clearly got all the attention and love he needed, while we could enjoy our holidays.”

“Perfect sitter. We were looking at short notice for a sitter who could take Flapjack overnight so that we could have a night out in Edinburgh as part of our camper van tour of Scotland. Lien was amazing. Flexible and helpful. She sent cute photos too. We felt totally reassured that our boy was in good hands.”

“Katie and Lorimer were excellent with Alfie. He is quite nervous when meeting new people but they gave him space until he felt comfortable with them. They took him for lots of lovely walks and gave him lots of play time in the garden. They kept us updated with plenty of photos of him which kept our minds at ease as this was the first time we had ever left him with a pet sitter. Would highly recommend them and will be using them again.”

“Thanks to Giulia and family for looking after our little dog, Lola, taking into account, as we asked, that she’s getting older and so can’t walk as much as she used to, and to make sure she drank plenty of water, especially in this warm weather. Giulia is also extremely good at communicating and always answers messages very promptly. Highly recommend.”

“Jemma and Keira welcomed our dogs into their home and made it a home from home while we were away. They took them on doggy adventures above and beyond expectations. They were both well looked after.”

“Our two dogs are just back today and were incredibly well looked after. We got daily photos and videos and the dogs were treated as their own. They were very well looked after with lots of walks an d cuddles and we will definitely use Ginerva again for our dogs.”

“Great people. Very good with Eddie and clearly understand dogs. Sadly Eddie didn’t get along with their young Alsatian but they were able to keep them separate. Eddie was happy and healthy when I picked her up. Thanks Chi and Gloria for looking after my precious dog!”

“Matthew was just brilliant with our 2 cats. He seemed to strike a real bond with them and puts a lot of care into what he does. That shone through in the pictures and detailed updates he sent us. We’re delighted and so relieved our cats were in safe hands and will absolutely go straight to Matthew again in the hope he’s available to look after our girls when we go a trip away next. 5*+!”

“Our cat was very well looked after by Liam. He communicated clearly, is very reliable, conscientious and bonded instantly with our moggy. He sent us regular updates with great photos so we could see how well she was eating and playing. We came home to a relaxed and happy cat and have already booked to use Liam's services again.”

About: I have five cats of my own, so caring for pets is a big part of my everyday life. They’re all boys and all very different, so I’m used to different personalities, routines, and giving each pet the care and attention they need. I’m comfortable with automatic litter boxes, pet feeders, and water fountains, and I know how important it is to keep everything clean, topped up, and running properly. Looking after my own cats has made me patient, reliable, and very aware of the little things that help pets feel safe, settled, and cared for while you’re away.

About: I’ve been around pets my whole life and grew up with a family dog from the time I was 8 into adulthood. I developed a love for caring for his needs, which lead to becoming passionate and taking initiative about his training. The more involved I was, the more I wanted to learn and deepen my understanding and care for animals, from bathing, training, different breeds and their behaviours, and overall care. Over the years, I’ve looked after a wide variety of pets for friends and family, from playful puppies to senior companions. In 2019, my husband and I welcomed an elderly dog with high anxiety and specific dietary needs, and we were able to give him lots of love, comfort, patience, and stability during his final years. I know every pet has their own personality and needs, and I truly enjoy giving them the love and attention that helps them feel safe and happy while their people are away. If that means long walks, playtime, sticking to special routines, or simply offering quiet companionship, I adapt my care to what each pet needs most. I’m reliable, detail oriented, and will always treat your pets like members of my own family. I also know how important peace of mind is when you’re away, so I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos to keep you connected. My goal is to make sure both you and your pets feel comfortable, supported, and cared for. As a full-time homemaker, I have the flexibility to give your pet plenty of love, attention, and care throughout the week and weekends. Your pet won’t be left alone for long periods, so you can feel confident they’ll have company and comfort while you’re away. I have a secure, fully fenced back garden where dogs can safely play and relax. Our home is calm, comfortable, and family orientated. We have a gentle 6 year old child who has grown up learning how to be kind and respectful to animals. We’re lucky to have beautiful walking paths, forest trails, and safe ‘off-lead’ areas nearby, perfect for exercise and adventure, depending on your dog’s comfort and recall. I also have a car and am happy to drive for walks or home visits, so your pet can enjoy a change of scenery or a favourite spot. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and routine, making sure they feel settled, safe, and loved whether they’re staying with me or I’m visiting them in their own home.

Our young child is especially excited to have a furry friend to play with and shower with attention. Rest assured, your dog will feel like part of the family during their time with us. “Thank you so much Nicky what a lifesaver - she was willing to take a booking quite last minute to help when I needed some doggy day care for Sunny. Got updates through the day, Nicky made sure to ask all the right questions and I felt totally comfortable leaving him with her knowing he’d be well looked after. Will definitely use again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
About: Hi, I’m Gavin. I’m a caring and responsible pet sitter based in Bonnyrigg. I work part-time from home, which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to give your pet the attention they deserve. I live in a detached house with my own secure, fenced garden – perfect for playtime and safe outdoor breaks. I share my home with my friendly 2-year-old German Shepherd, who loves company and enjoys making new dog friends. My love for animals started early – as a teenager, I raised two cats and cared for them throughout their lives. That experience taught me patience, responsibility, and how to understand different pet personalities. Now, I’m confident caring for both dogs and cats, from playful pups and kittens to seniors who need gentler care. I’ll treat them like family. About: Ive had 2 dogs for the last 17yrs . Of which we had 2 litters from . I adored the whole journey from puppy to seniors all come with different challenges and demands but Sooo rewarding to have relationships and experiences together. Since my 2 dogs have passed find myself caring for friends and family's pets .. so it seems the natural order to board for those who dont have that facility. I love having the company of dogs in my home. Gets me out exploring our beautiful walks . I am at home most days although I have an art workshop close by so can often be found there. In which case the dogs come with me and have space to raom there securely too. So I am around for enjoying each other's company and there for treats cuddles and toilet breaks . I live in a home with both front and back garden both fully enclosed . Although I do like to make use of our many gorgeous walks locally so aren't stuck in one place all day. I can offer a crate for your dog to sleep in if required although happily have them loose if they prefer.
“Naomi has been life saver and really great. She knows what she's doing, and was very accomodating for a first time and last minute booking. Caoimhe had a great day and I had peace of mind. Would 100% call for her services again. Thanks again Naomi !”

“Monika was great with our anxious labradoodle. Photos of the day's activities were sent which was reassuring. Ivy had a good day with a big walk and plenty running around, then some relaxation time on the sofa. Looking forward to more stays at Monika's”

About: I’ve been around dogs most of my life starting from watching neighbours furry friends to now enjoying life with my Cocker Spaniel - Rollo. I always try to give every dog a home boarding experience that makes them feel comfortable and like they are in a home away home. Our daily and weekly routine is as follows. 7am - I complete breakfast time and morning walks allowing the doggies to enjoy waking up, enjoying locating sticks, sniffing spots and exploring till 9am. 9am-12 - Working from home I ensure the dogs have constant supervision with the doggies free to enjoy the garden and partioned part of the house until 12. 12-3pm - After the afternoon walk (12-1.30pm) we have rest time where the doggies can enjoy relaxing in the house, watching Bluey or dog TV and the most important things (doggy yoghurt ice lolly and cuddles). If everyone has been good we stop at Starbucks for a well deserved Puppacino. 3-5pm - I usually finish work by 5pm where I organise dinner time and evening adventures (Roslin Glen, Musselburgh Lagoons & Holyrood Park are my favourite evening walks). 8-10pm - Winding down time is where we begin to get settled in for the night with relaxing in the garden and movie night with popcorn. Each dog is different and we make sure to make them feel comfortable and make their stay with us as much as like being at home as possible. For dogs boarding with us my non negotiable is that every dog upon arrival will be checked in and issued with a GPS collar with our contact details
About: I was a dog walker for around 2 years pre covid. I love all breeds and sizes of dogs! My partner and son who I live with share my love for dogs.. thankfully! I am a self employed cleaner in houses around my street, I will always be close to home. We are an outdoor loving family (son goes to outdoor nursery) and are always going on walks in the fields behind us/woods around our town. *please note, we are located in the EH22 postcode area* I have a fenced back garden and I have space for a dog crate if need be. Pets can be fed inside or outside, whichever is preferred. My partner Michael, who can be seen in my profile picture, will be home with myself when caring for your pet. He's also a pet lover who is brilliant at giving ear and belly rubs. If your pet is up to it, they can have a go in his work van!
“Using Rover for the first time was daunting, but I trust our Knuffel’s instinct — and he walked straight into Kirsty and David’s house and immediately flopped over for a belly rub. Communication with Kirsty was easy, and she was wonderfully flexible with pick‑up time, which made the whole experience even smoother. Getting pictures throughout the day of him in his usual happy pose — paws in the air, fast asleep — was reassuring and meant we could enjoy our day without worrying. We’ll definitely rebook with Kirsty and David again.”

“Giulia looked after Orla for the first time this weekend. Orla tends to be quite a nervous pup so we were amazed when she went in to the house happily! Giulia and family were very welcoming, and we felt really happy to leave a Orla in their care. We will definitely be booking in again!”

About: Hello, I'm Ewa I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by them, and in Poland I have three dogs of my own – two small and one medium-sized. Since moving to the UK, I miss them very much, so spending time with dogs here brings me real happiness. Looking after dogs has always been a natural part of my life. I've cared for my own dogs as well as dogs belonging to family and friends. I enjoy long walks, playtime and quiet moments too. Every dog is different, so I always take the time to understand their routine and make them feel safe and comfortable. I offer dog walking, home visits, daycare and care in my own home. I live in a quiet flat with access to a large shared garden. To make sure every dog gets plenty of attention, I only welcome one dog at a time (or two from the same household). I have very flexible working hours, so I can easily find time for walks with your pet. Sometimes I have to go away for a few weeks on business, but I think that everything can be arranged and adjusted. I make sure every pet is safe, comfortable and well cared for. I always follow the owner’s instructions, including feeding and walking routines. I live in a tenement with access to a large garden, where dogs can enjoy fresh air under supervision. I also provide regular walks, attention and a calm, pet-friendly environment. I treat every pet with care and make sure they feel relaxed and secure.

“I got stuck in traffic and was going to be late for a meeting if I had travelled to Derek's place. He very kindly drove to my meeting place. Saved me the stress. Thanks Derek.”

“Siyi was good at communicating and on time. She gave us a couple of home made dog cookies which was thoughtful. She seemed knowledgeable about dogs and got the measure of Phoebe. Phoebe came back happy and tired so I think she had a good time.”

“Daisy absolutely thrived with Clara. She is usually a bit shut down the first time she stays at someone new, and I never expect her to eat her food on the first day nor have a poop but she did both! Clara sent me a lot of photos of a very happy Daisy, which, once again, was unusual because Daisy doesn't like her photo taken. I could tell that she felt straight at home and she didn't even want to leave when I came to pick her up, she took a toy and put it in another room to show me she loved it here! She managed a nap in the sun in the garden during the day and Clara updated me on everything exciting that happened that day. We are definitely going to book again!”

About: Hello! I’d love to care for your cats while you’re away on holiday! I have two cats of my own and have owned cats for more then 15 years! I own a small stationery business and work from home so I have plenty of time to pet sit! I normally will do 1 or 2 visits a day! I came from CatInAFlat so I’ll be only looking after cats for now! I own two lovely cats so I will not be boarding pets in my own home. I will come to the owners home and feed and play with the pets and of course scoop or change the litter box! I’ll always make sure I’ll leave the home clean and tidy when I leave!

Looking after my own cats has made me patient, reliable, and very aware of the little things that help pets feel safe, settled, and cared for while you’re away. I work part-time from home and study Law full-time at Edinburgh Napier, so I’m used to managing my time well and have a fairly flexible schedule. I also have my own car, which means I can be flexible with travel and visit times. I have five cats of my own, so caring for pets is part of my everyday routine. At home, I use fully automatic litter trays and clean them daily, including emptying waste, topping up litter, checking the app, and cleaning the sensors to make sure everything is running properly. I also use automatic water fountains and feeders, so I’m used to topping up water regularly (especially with five boys who drink a lot), keeping everything clean, and making sure food is given on a set schedule with the right portion sizes—not too much and not too little. In a pet owner’s home, I’d follow the same level of care and attention, keeping everything clean, consistent, and comfortable for your pet.

“Katherine has been absolutely brilliant with my dog. He’s taken time to adjust to a new dog walker, but she’s been so patient and encouraging with him. He definitely has that classic “Westie-tude,” and again, she approaches the walks with understanding and care. She always fills out a detailed report card after walks and sends photos, which is really reassuring and means a lot. I can’t recommend her enough!”

Myself and my partner care for pets in our home by providing a safe and comfortable environment where they can feel at ease. Our house is all on one level with no stairs, making it easy for pets to move around freely. We have a large, secure enclosed back garden with high fences, allowing for safe outdoor time. Pets have free roaming access to the entire house, ensuring they feel like part of the family. We're also happy to follow any specific instructions or unique requirements your pet may have. Additionally, we offer plenty of local on-lead walks to keep your pet active and happy.
“Kimberley has been great with our young border collie, Jax. He gets so excited every time they’re due to go on a walk and refuses to come inside after! Kimberley has been very patient with him being young and a bit anxious around cars. Also having had a collie herself Kimberley is well equipped to handled the breed and their quirks! She is very caring of all dogs and it’s clearly seen in how she handles Jax and how much she enjoys being around and caring for dogs. I would 100% recommend Kimberley”

“Nicky and Craig were brilliant with our dog Durham while we were away for a couple of days. They were great to deal with, friendly, and being local made everything so easy. We'd happily recommend them! Durham says he enjoyed his stay! 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾”

“Oh my goodness, I cannot praise Kim highly enough, she was absolutely brilliant with my very sensitive poodle from start to finish - plus I received regular reassuring updates throughout his stay - I shall definitely be booking with Kim again, Kipper loved her!!”

“Jemma and Keira welcomed our dogs into their home and made it a home from home while we were away. They took them on doggy adventures above and beyond expectations. They were both well looked after.”

“Great people. Very good with Eddie and clearly understand dogs. Sadly Eddie didn’t get along with their young Alsatian but they were able to keep them separate. Eddie was happy and healthy when I picked her up. Thanks Chi and Gloria for looking after my precious dog!”

“We recently left our cocker spaniel, Poppy, with Caity for her first overnight stay, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Caity was warm, friendly and welcoming from the outset, and it was clear she has a great deal of experience with dogs. Poppy settled in really well and seemed to thoroughly enjoy her time there. When we picked her up, she was relaxed, happy and completely at ease, which is always the best indication that she has been well cared for. It gave us real peace of mind knowing that Poppy was in such capable and caring hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Caity to anyone looking for a trustworthy and experienced dog sitter, and we will definitely be booking with her again in the future. 🐾❤️”

About: I’ve always grown up with dogs since I was around 9 years old. Myself and my partner are not in a current position to buy a dog so happy to help out other families where we can! We love dogs of all ages and sizes and we are super outdoorsy so can do long walks and adventures if required 😄 We are available every weekend for plenty of dog play and we work from home Mon/fri so can account for long weekends and long walks on lunch breaks and pottering around :) our priority is the safety and wellbeing of a pet! We have a fenced garden with no other pets. The home is set up to be safe and friendly for any pet coming and want them to be comfortable! We currently have no other pets so attention is all on them :)
“Judit and her family were amazing with Dolly - my dog is lovely, but gets anxious easily. They knew exactly how to calm her down, and were in touch with clear communications to let me know how she was getting on and the steps they were taking to relax her and get her comfortable. These steps worked and Dolly was able to relax and enjoy her stay, which was a big relief. It takes real skill to be able to read and adjust to the behaviour of a dog you do not know, but they handled it brilliantly. I was really impressed by this. The environment feels safe, calm and very structured - Dolly couldn't have asked for a better sitter.”

“Joanna looked after our 1 year old GSP pup Otis for New Years and she was really great with him, and so kind. She shared pictures with us and ensured that Otis was comfortable with her dog. Would definitely book Joanna again! Thanks for your help Joanna.”

“Clara was a very enthusiastic and caring dog-sitter for Patch. She followed my instructions for Patch's daily routine and she communicated regularly to let us know how he was getting on. Patch seemed very happy staying with her.”

About: I have spent most of my life around dogs. I love looking after animals as they provide so much joy for me. I especially enjoy spending time outdoors with dogs come rain, snow or sun! Happy to go out in all weathers to make the most of the fresh air :) I have experienced hosting dogs at home and having the company is a wonderful experience. I'm currently working part time at the weekends so I will have plenty of time to spend with your furry friends! They can be dropped on from 9am onwards and picked up at 6pm (earlier or later is also fine!) I would take the dog out for at least 3 walks per day and regular bathroom breaks. I have a spacious living room for the pets to enjoy at their own leisure. I have a residential garden where animal would be safe to be out in. I'm more than happy to use a crate if requested by the owner.
“Amazing! Jennifer was great at communicating from start to finish, which made everything really easy and reassuring. I felt completely comfortable leaving Beau overnight, and he was safe, well looked after and happy to gets lots of cuddles. I'd definitely book again and highly recommend Jennifer!”

Our dog was relaxed, well cared for, and clearly happy, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Communication was excellent, with regular updates and photos, and we truly felt our dog was treated like part of the family. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter. Thank you so much!”
