“Kirsty was really quick to respond for a last minute sitting. She was amazing in keeping me up to date with how Harris was adjusting. He clearly seemed to have a great time as there was no energy left in him when he got back home. Kirsty is very reliable, professional, and accomodating. Could not recommend her more!!!”

“Absolutely brilliant! I'm confident that my dog had a great stay with Claire. My dog is quite a sensitive soul and Claire was clearly attuned to her and kept me updated with honest feedback about how she was doing. My dog also got on really well with Claire's dog and made a new pal. I'll definitely be making more bookings in the future. Thank you Claire!”

“Danielle and Dougie were the absolute best. I knew my dog Carmen was in good hands the moment I met them. Everything was great and Carmen had the best time with them - going on gorgeous walks, plenty of exercise and lots of cuddles! Thanks again guys ❤️”

“John has provided a second home for our dog Harley . From the introduction meeting right through, John was friendly and ensured Harley’s needs, particularly being an older dog, would be catered for. John provided regular updates and photo’s throughout the stay which was reassuring and it was clear Harley was having a great time staying with John. John has been very professional but what ultimately shines through is his love for dogs and on our return we could see the bond he had created with Harley. We have have already booked Harley in for the next stay with John.”

“Clara looked after my dog Chispa very well. Chispa is a rescue dog and can become anxious when left alone. Clara sent photos of Chispa at home and out for a walk where she looked very happy.”

“Matthew was great with Marty. We know he can be a bit barky with new people and situations, but Matthew was unphased and knew how to keep him calm. From the photos it looked like Marty made himself very much at home and he was a happy boy when I collected him in the morning.”

“Jemma and Keira welcomed our dogs into their home and made it a home from home while we were away. They took them on doggy adventures above and beyond expectations. They were both well looked after.”

“Katie and Lorimer were excellent with Alfie. He is quite nervous when meeting new people but they gave him space until he felt comfortable with them. They took him for lots of lovely walks and gave him lots of play time in the garden. They kept us updated with plenty of photos of him which kept our minds at ease as this was the first time we had ever left him with a pet sitter. Would highly recommend them and will be using them again.”

“Ginevra and Nic were absolutely fabulous from start to finish! Originally, we had booked Bella in for daycare with Ginevra for a few days while we were on holiday (our family members were going to watch Bella overnight), but due to a very last minute change in circumstances, we needed to board her for 5 nights. Ginevra not only accommodated our late change of plans, but she also went out of her way to help us make sure we were able to switch our booking on Rover without incurring any additional fees. Ginevra provided a very helpful checklist to help us pack Bella's overnight bag, and thoughout Bella's stay, she and Nic kept us up to date with plenty of pictures and videos of Bella's adventures with. Bella had such a lovely time with them! When we picked her up at the end of her stay, Ginevra and Nic even gave us an adorable report card with details about Bella's time with them. We are honestly so impressed with the level of love, care, and detail they have shown towards Bella and to us. They really gave us such a peace of mind, and we have no doubt we will be using their boarding service again soon!”

“Great family, thank you! 🥰 I was constantly receiving videos and photos. 🥰 My doggy is very timid, but it was clear that he was feeling very comfortable. 🥰 Everything was perfect. 🥰 If we come to visit again, I will definitely look for them. 🥰 Wishing you all the best! 🥰”

April’s communication was excellent and she is very friendly and kind. April was kind enough to water some plants during her visits which was lovely. I would happily recommend April to anyone needing a cat sitter and will definitely be booking her again. Thank you April 😊”

“Susan is so kind, gentle, and patient with out little cat. This was a longer sit we needed (8 nights away from home) which was very anxiety-provoking for me as it is hard to be away from Nugget and this was the longest we have been away ever. Our cat was so well cared for with regular drop-in visits from Susan and I received happy updates after each visit. Susan understands cats so well. I would highly recommend Susan.”

“Liam was so fantastic! He left us a message every trip of how Tom was doing with pictures, and was great at giving him his daily medicine. We would definitely like to use Liam again! ”

About: I have five cats of my own, so caring for pets is a big part of my everyday life. They’re all boys and all very different, so I’m used to different personalities, routines, and giving each pet the care and attention they need. I’m comfortable with automatic litter boxes, pet feeders, and water fountains, and I know how important it is to keep everything clean, topped up, and running properly. Looking after my own cats has made me patient, reliable, and very aware of the little things that help pets feel safe, settled, and cared for while you’re away.

“Lucy was fantastic taking care of Burrito, she is so accomodating and went the extra mile for us and him. She sent regular updates and we could see Burrito loved her company and was super happy and cared for whilst we were away. Everything was straightforward, communication was easy and I will definitely be booking Lucy again in the future 😸💕 ”

“Allie was great looking after Catrick. She took a lots of photos and left such detailed reports after her visit which gave me real peace of mind whilst I was away. The result was coming home to a cat who was happy, settled and just happy to see me. It’s clear to see that Allie is a natural with animals and my cat trusted her instantly. Would 100% recommend Allie!”

About: I’ve been around pets my whole life and grew up with a family dog from the time I was 8 into adulthood. I developed a love for caring for his needs, which lead to becoming passionate and taking initiative about his training. The more involved I was, the more I wanted to learn and deepen my understanding and care for animals, from bathing, training, different breeds and their behaviours, and overall care. Over the years, I’ve looked after a wide variety of pets for friends and family, from playful puppies to senior companions. In 2019, my husband and I welcomed an elderly dog with high anxiety and specific dietary needs, and we were able to give him lots of love, comfort, patience, and stability during his final years. I know every pet has their own personality and needs, and I truly enjoy giving them the love and attention that helps them feel safe and happy while their people are away. If that means long walks, playtime, sticking to special routines, or simply offering quiet companionship, I adapt my care to what each pet needs most. I’m reliable, detail oriented, and will always treat your pets like members of my own family. I also know how important peace of mind is when you’re away, so I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos to keep you connected. My goal is to make sure both you and your pets feel comfortable, supported, and cared for. As a full-time homemaker, I have the flexibility to give your pet plenty of love, attention, and care throughout the week and weekends. Your pet won’t be left alone for long periods, so you can feel confident they’ll have company and comfort while you’re away. I have a secure, fully fenced back garden where dogs can safely play and relax. Our home is calm, comfortable, and family orientated. We have a gentle 6 year old child who has grown up learning how to be kind and respectful to animals. We’re lucky to have beautiful walking paths, forest trails, and safe ‘off-lead’ areas nearby, perfect for exercise and adventure, depending on your dog’s comfort and recall. I also have a car and am happy to drive for walks or home visits, so your pet can enjoy a change of scenery or a favourite spot. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and routine, making sure they feel settled, safe, and loved whether they’re staying with me or I’m visiting them in their own home.

“Thank you so much Nicky what a lifesaver - she was willing to take a booking quite last minute to help when I needed some doggy day care for Sunny. Got updates through the day, Nicky made sure to ask all the right questions and I felt totally comfortable leaving him with her knowing he’d be well looked after. Will definitely use again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: Ive had 2 dogs for the last 17yrs . Of which we had 2 litters from . I adored the whole journey from puppy to seniors all come with different challenges and demands but Sooo rewarding to have relationships and experiences together. Since my 2 dogs have passed find myself caring for friends and family's pets .. so it seems the natural order to board for those who dont have that facility. I love having the company of dogs in my home. Gets me out exploring our beautiful walks . I am at home most days although I have an art workshop close by so can often be found there. In which case the dogs come with me and have space to raom there securely too. So I am around for enjoying each other's company and there for treats cuddles and toilet breaks . I live in a home with both front and back garden both fully enclosed . Although I do like to make use of our many gorgeous walks locally so aren't stuck in one place all day. I can offer a crate for your dog to sleep in if required although happily have them loose if they prefer.
“We would give Ginevra and her partner 10 stars if we could!! Bella had such a brilliant time with them. They are so experienced and knowledgeable, and really went above and beyond to make both Bella and us feel comfortable. The girls are super friendly, and kept us updated regularly throughout Bella’s stay with some of the most adorable photos that we now have of her! Thank you so much for taking such great care of Bella, and also for all the amazing tips and advice too!”

“Charles spent the whole day with Naomi and her adorable furry family yesterday. Her calm nature put me at ease as soon as we arrived in the morning, I knew straight away Charles would be in great hands. You can tell she is a dog person and really knows their needs. I highly recommend Naomi’s services. 😊”

About: I’ve been around dogs most of my life starting from watching neighbours furry friends to now enjoying life with my Cocker Spaniel - Rollo. I always try to give every dog a home boarding experience that makes them feel comfortable and like they are in a home away home. Our daily and weekly routine is as follows. 7am - I complete breakfast time and morning walks allowing the doggies to enjoy waking up, enjoying locating sticks, sniffing spots and exploring till 9am. 9am-12 - Working from home I ensure the dogs have constant supervision with the doggies free to enjoy the garden and partioned part of the house until 12. 12-3pm - After the afternoon walk (12-1.30pm) we have rest time where the doggies can enjoy relaxing in the house, watching Bluey or dog TV and the most important things (doggy yoghurt ice lolly and cuddles). If everyone has been good we stop at Starbucks for a well deserved Puppacino. 3-5pm - I usually finish work by 5pm where I organise dinner time and evening adventures (Roslin Glen, Musselburgh Lagoons & Holyrood Park are my favourite evening walks). 8-10pm - Winding down time is where we begin to get settled in for the night with relaxing in the garden and movie night with popcorn. Each dog is different and we make sure to make them feel comfortable and make their stay with us as much as like being at home as possible. For dogs boarding with us my non negotiable is that every dog upon arrival will be checked in and issued with a GPS collar with our contact details
“Monika was great with our anxious labradoodle. Photos of the day's activities were sent which was reassuring. Ivy had a good day with a big walk and plenty running around, then some relaxation time on the sofa. Looking forward to more stays at Monika's”

“Kirsty was so accommodating and looked after my dog so well, she kept me up to date and sent me lots of photos of my dog having such a lovely time, which was so reassuring.”

“Katie was absolutely amazing with our dog. She maintained great communication and was super flexible. Our dog clearly loved spending the day with her as on the second day she ran straight in without a second glance!”

“Great. Lots of walks and Jacqueline was so flexible about pick up and drop off timer. Really friendly and Charlie seemed to be very happy staying at her house too. Definitely will use Jacqueline again.”

“My dog is always excited to see Alisha which is the highest review I can give! Alisha is super friendly and calm which is exactly what Cairo needs. Her communication is excellent I get regular photos during my daycare booking and she keeps me updated on timings.thank you!”

“Using Rover for the first time was daunting, but I trust our Knuffel’s instinct — and he walked straight into Kirsty and David’s house and immediately flopped over for a belly rub. Communication with Kirsty was easy, and she was wonderfully flexible with pick‑up time, which made the whole experience even smoother. Getting pictures throughout the day of him in his usual happy pose — paws in the air, fast asleep — was reassuring and meant we could enjoy our day without worrying. We’ll definitely rebook with Kirsty and David again.”

“Giulia was absolutely amazing! I was nervous leaving a very excitable pup with someone for the first time but she soon put me at ease. Her house was a lovely environment for Lochie and he really seemed to have the best time!”

“Absolutely fantastic sitter. My pup has been so well looked after. Would not hesitate to use again and great to have the option for a day out in Edinburgh with my very happy pup nearby.”

“Hunter was nervous about his visit but was soon put at ease by you guys. He’s a loud dog and challenging at times but you both do a wonderful job caring for him and he looked like he had so much fun on his walks and getting cuddles! You’re both saints and we would definitely use you again!”

About: I was a dog walker for around 2 years pre covid. I love all breeds and sizes of dogs! My partner and son who I live with share my love for dogs.. thankfully! I am a self employed cleaner in houses around my street, I will always be close to home. We are an outdoor loving family (son goes to outdoor nursery) and are always going on walks in the fields behind us/woods around our town. *please note, we are located in the EH22 postcode area* I have a fenced back garden and I have space for a dog crate if need be. Pets can be fed inside or outside, whichever is preferred. My partner Michael, who can be seen in my profile picture, will be home with myself when caring for your pet. He's also a pet lover who is brilliant at giving ear and belly rubs. If your pet is up to it, they can have a go in his work van!
“Mabel had the best day ever with Matilda! If you're looking for a friendly, kind and responsible dog sitter who communicates really well then I can highly recommend Matilda. Thank you Matilda for looking after her so well, and giving her a very fun and interesting day (with nice updates for us along the way). Your genuine love and care for dogs shines through, and meant we could have peace of mind for a special day out.”

“Edley had a wonderful day with Louisa and the family. He was immediately at home, had some lovely adventures and whilst happy to see us on collection it was clear that he had had a great day. Louisa was great from first contact with clear information and guidance. I would recommend without reservation”

“Daisy absolutely thrived with Clara. She is usually a bit shut down the first time she stays at someone new, and I never expect her to eat her food on the first day nor have a poop but she did both! Clara sent me a lot of photos of a very happy Daisy, which, once again, was unusual because Daisy doesn't like her photo taken. I could tell that she felt straight at home and she didn't even want to leave when I came to pick her up, she took a toy and put it in another room to show me she loved it here! She managed a nap in the sun in the garden during the day and Clara updated me on everything exciting that happened that day. We are definitely going to book again!”

About: Myself and my partner Lorimer have both owned and cared for animals for most of our lives. Whilst we do not have any furry friends of our own right now, we would love to spend time with yours! We are both comfortable with cats and dogs of any size. I work full time from home Monday to Friday with a very flexible working pattern. My partner splits his time between home and the office, so there is always someone at home to take care of your pet. We have no children or pets of our own, and a house with a fenced garden. We live nearby some great parks and walking routes!

About: I’ve always grown up with dogs since I was around 9 years old. Myself and my partner are not in a current position to buy a dog so happy to help out other families where we can! We love dogs of all ages and sizes and we are super outdoorsy so can do long walks and adventures if required 😄 We are available every weekend for plenty of dog play and we work from home Mon/fri so can account for long weekends and long walks on lunch breaks and pottering around :) our priority is the safety and wellbeing of a pet! We have a fenced garden with no other pets. The home is set up to be safe and friendly for any pet coming and want them to be comfortable! We currently have no other pets so attention is all on them :)
About: Hello! I’d love to care for your cats while you’re away on holiday! I have two cats of my own and have owned cats for more then 15 years! I own a small stationery business and work from home so I have plenty of time to pet sit! I normally will do 1 or 2 visits a day! I came from CatInAFlat so I’ll be only looking after cats for now! I own two lovely cats so I will not be boarding pets in my own home. I will come to the owners home and feed and play with the pets and of course scoop or change the litter box! I’ll always make sure I’ll leave the home clean and tidy when I leave!
“It was our very first experience with a dog sitter, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better. From the very first meeting, Anna felt like part of the family – warm, trustworthy, and clearly very experienced. She was understanding and attentive to all our and our dog’s needs, and it was amazing to see how quickly he connected with her – already on their first walk together, they seemed perfectly in sync. It’s rare to find someone you can trust so naturally. We feel very lucky to have found her and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone. Since she also offers dog boarding, we feel completely at ease leaving both our dog and our home in her care, knowing everything will be safe, well looked after, and filled with kindness.”

“Lily has been having so much fun with Katherine. Katherine is punctual polite and such a lovely person. Lily always comes back having had a good walk and then she has a good old snooze”

About: Hello, I'm Ewa I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by them, and in Poland I have three dogs of my own – two small and one medium-sized. Since moving to the UK, I miss them very much, so spending time with dogs here brings me real happiness. Looking after dogs has always been a natural part of my life. I've cared for my own dogs as well as dogs belonging to family and friends. I enjoy long walks, playtime and quiet moments too. Every dog is different, so I always take the time to understand their routine and make them feel safe and comfortable. I offer dog walking, home visits, daycare and care in my own home. I live in a quiet flat with access to a large shared garden. To make sure every dog gets plenty of attention, I only welcome one dog at a time (or two from the same household). I have very flexible working hours, so I can easily find time for walks with your pet. Sometimes I have to go away for a few weeks on business, but I think that everything can be arranged and adjusted. I make sure every pet is safe, comfortable and well cared for. I always follow the owner’s instructions, including feeding and walking routines. I live in a tenement with access to a large garden, where dogs can enjoy fresh air under supervision. I also provide regular walks, attention and a calm, pet-friendly environment. I treat every pet with care and make sure they feel relaxed and secure.

I work part-time from home and study Law full-time at Edinburgh Napier, so I’m used to managing my time well and have a fairly flexible schedule. I also have my own car, which means I can be flexible with travel and visit times. I have five cats of my own, so caring for pets is part of my everyday routine. At home, I use fully automatic litter trays and clean them daily, including emptying waste, topping up litter, checking the app, and cleaning the sensors to make sure everything is running properly. I also use automatic water fountains and feeders, so I’m used to topping up water regularly (especially with five boys who drink a lot), keeping everything clean, and making sure food is given on a set schedule with the right portion sizes—not too much and not too little. In a pet owner’s home, I’d follow the same level of care and attention, keeping everything clean, consistent, and comfortable for your pet.

“Derek is an amazing dog sitter with lots of varied walks. Photos and videos are regular so you know your fur baby is doing well in your absence. Only one complaint, Derek is always booked up!! He’s so fab hard to pin him down, we need more Derek’s, thank you again lol 😂”

“Clara looked after my dog Chispa very well. Chispa is a rescue dog and can become anxious when left alone. Clara sent photos of Chispa at home and out for a walk where she looked very happy.”

“Jemma and Keira welcomed our dogs into their home and made it a home from home while we were away. They took them on doggy adventures above and beyond expectations. They were both well looked after.”

“Kim is great seater and pet lover, treating your pet like her own. She provides updates with pictures and videos for peace of mind. Shanti looked happy and relaxed and I can tell she been spoilt. I definitely will use Kim again.”

“Joanna is a Really nice person she took great care of my two yorkies she provided photos of them for the 2 days we were away would definitely ask if she would watch them again”

“This has been our dobermans second stay with Agata and Steven and we couldn’t fathom that they could give her much more love, attention and adoration than her first stay but Agata and Steven did! From home cooked treats to new toys, games at home, we could see our pup loved every moment in their home. The consistent updates made us tear up as our rescue pup started exhibiting more confidence, obedience and most of all a beautiful happy temperament. Our pup has extremely high levels of energy and Agata matched this with the walks and parks they explored together. Agata is extremely insightful about all breeds especially dobermans and has been so helpful and supportive in aiding us to find a suitable trainer for our pup too. We cannot be more thankful that we have found such a safe, loving home away from home for our pup and we know our dog dreams about her next holiday with them! Thank you!!”

“Nicole was absolutely welcoming and adorable with Frida. You can feel how much she loves dogs! We first met her in the parks and she knew how to approach Frida from the start. Then we walked together to her home, which was very reassuring for us. Frida's a rescued dog and she knew how to deal with her from the beginning: with patience and love. She sent us lots of photos and a daily update every day. She was also very kind to us and gave us tips about the city. We definitely recommend Nicole. Frida is going to miss her couch and all her cuddles so much!”

About: I love animals, and they seem to love me too. As my children have grown and become more independent, I've been able to spend more time with dogs -walking and caring for family and neighbours' dogs, many of them larger breeds. What I enjoy most is getting to know each dog as an individual. Every dog has its own personality, preferences and way of communicating, and I naturally adapt my approach to suit them. Whether your dog enjoys energetic adventures through woods and parks, playful games, or a slower, gentler walk with plenty of reassurance, I'm happy to meet them where they are. I'm an active person who loves being outdoors, especially in nature around Blackford Hill and the Grange, so long walks are something I genuinely enjoy rather than a chore. I'm reliable, calm and attentive, and I understand that trusting someone with your dog is a big decision. My aim is to build lasting relationships with a small number of local dogs and their owners, giving each dog the time, consistency and care they deserve. I'm also planning to undertake training in working with young dogs in the near future to continue building my knowledge and skills. I'm currently building my advisory business, so have good flexibility to walk your dog or look after it when you need it. I typically walk in the mornings 8-9am and can rake your dog - or walk during the day as well. My early evenings are a bit busier. I live in a spacious lower villa with two unfenced gardens in a quiet crescent in the Grange near the cricket field. I am 10 walking minutes from Blackford and braids nature reserve and 10 min from Grange or Ainslie hospital grounds. I have an MPV car that allows me to transport your dog, even if it's bigger. I have a cat that grew up with dogs in her earlier life and will just hide when another pet is around. I am well integrated in my neighbourhood which is very safe and with little traffic.
“Avril was extremely attentive and quick to respond. She also sent a lot of photos and it seemed like Ozzy had a lot of fun. I would certainly recommend Avril to another pet owner!”

“Cookie absolutely loved staying with Rachael. In fact I don’t think she wanted to leave! Cookie settled in with Rachael very quickly and was soon playing and snoozing and just having the best time. Rachael sent us updates and photos and we felt very comfortable that Cookie was having a great time in safe hands. Would have no hesitation in booking Cookie in with Rachael again and also recommending her to anyone.”

“Samuel took perfect care of our dog Pepe, a rescue and a bit shy and anxious at times. His dog Phoebe is a wonderful companion and Samuel kept us informed daily with updates, photos and videos. We quickly felt at ease Pepe was in a loving and caring home. We’d highly recommend Samuel and would not hesitate to book again.”

“Eve was fantastic with my dog Mabel! Mabel was immediately comfortable with Eve and we received lots of updates and pictures showing what they were getting up to, and it was clear that Mabel was having a great time and was well looked after. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing someone to look after their pup!”
