Nora was quite simply excellent! We were visiting Cromer to attend a funeral and needed an understanding dog-sitter to care for our dog at the Airbnb (with the host's prior consent). Nora was punctual for both the initial meet-and-greet with our dog on the previous day and for the actual dog sitting. She totally understood the handling requirements of our potentially nervous ex-rescue dog and she quickly won our dog over. Nora was understanding of our situation and communication with her was pleasant and easy. I would wholeheartedly recommend her as a dog sitter. Thank you so very much Nora for being so understanding and helpful on what was a difficult day for us.

Trouble free support from Imogen, far far easier than shuffling our furry friend to a cattery. As for Mau, he just wants to know when Imogen will return, seems he was chuffed with the “new friend” and extra attention 🙂. Highly recommended

Imogen looked after my cats for the first time recently, and I could not recommend her more highly. I have seven cats, all with very different personalities and needs. Some are extremely high-maintenance, some are incredibly friendly, others are very shy, and three of them have epilepsy and require close monitoring. It can definitely be a bit overwhelming for someone who isn’t used to a busy multi-cat household, but Imogen handled everything amazingly. From the moment she came for a meet-and-greet, it was obvious how naturally good she is with animals. Two of my cats immediately gravitated towards her, which I think says everything, as cats are usually very good judges of character! All of the cats absolutely loved her, and I felt completely reassured knowing they were in such caring and capable hands. She was calm, attentive, and clearly very experienced and comfortable around cats with different temperaments and medical needs. I’m so grateful for the care she gave my babies, and I’ll definitely be using her services again in the future. I’m very happy with the service Imogen provided and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring cat sitter.

Delighted to have found Sally & Kevin. Our first meeting made us feel so at ease and confident our dog would be with the right sitter leaving him for the first time in our home. They kept to his routine plus updated us and upon return our dog was so happy we knew he had been in great hands. Thoroughly recommend them cannot thank them enough.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life - currently I have two collies and a pug. Due to this I have extensive knowledge and looking after dogs comes naturally to me such as adequate water top ups, toilet breaks, cuddle sessions, walks, etc. One of my now passed collies was blind and diabetic, so I have experience with special needs animals. I am also skilled in administering medication - she was on injectable insulin so I can administer medication through injections with no problem. My other collie has arthritis so I’m also capable to giving tablet form also even if they’re fussy! I currently have a 3month old collie too, so i am experience when it comes to high energy puppies that need mental stimulation and naps too. I also have experience house-sitting - having house sat for a family friend with French bulldogs. This included feeding, adequate water top ups, walks, playing with, cuddling, cleaning up behind them, and much more! Additionally I’ve puppy sat and been a live in sitter for four weeks from newborn to older stages. This also included a puppy that needed hand feeding. During this I changed the pads, kept the puppies clean and safe, helped mum have free time and feed the pups, giving mum toilet breaks and food and water etc when needed. At the end of my stay as a perk for the family I made sure to clean their house to the highest standard - I always make sure to leave a place spotless after staying there so you can be sure you’ll come home to happy pets and a clean and tidy home! I am currently a studying at the University of Derby three days a week for a few hours on a mon, wed, and fri. Other than this for the most part i have full availability. I will follow an exact routine should you like to give one. You may make any requests for your animal including how many times they need feeding, walking, cleaning or washing. I’l always ensure a clean and topped up water bowl with fresh cold water and make sure to mop up any spillages, as well as cleaning food bowls after every meal. If you don’t wish to give a routine that’s absolutely fine I will follow your basics and provide fun filled days for your animals based on their energy levels. Food will always be given correctly based on the food manufacturers suggestion for your pet and/or how you like them to be fed. I like to keep dogs leashed during walks as I believe this keeps them safe - however if I find somewhere safe for them to be let off or you can provide evidence of fantastic recall I am happy to take them off leash.

David looked after our spaniel and elderly cat for 10 days. He did exactly that! Doug (spaniel) bonded well with David, he was even allowed to sleep with him (as he does us). Our elderly cat Millie is a rather solitary and shy soul however seemed perfectly herself when we returned home. I would recommend David to look after your pets, he even watered the plants for us. Thanks David and we hope you enjoyed your stay with our pets. June & Mark 🐾🐾🐾🐾

Abigail looked after our dog for us while we were on holiday and he had the best staycation with her and her dog. We felt reassured he was having the comforts of a home away from home and were kept up updated with photos during his time there. Would definitely recommend Abigail she has a passion for dogs and our dog Reggie settled very quickly with her in her home! Abigail was brilliant and accommodating particularly as Reggie needed some extra care whilst he was recovering from a recent operation.

About: I’ve had my own dog for five wonderful years, and he truly opened my heart to all living creatures. We trained him ourselves from a puppy, and he has amazing recall and lovely manners. That experience taught me patience, consistency, and how important trust is with dogs. I regularly look after friends’ dogs of all sizes, small, medium, and large and I’m confident handling different temperaments and energy levels. I provide daily walks once or twice a day, sometimes including a run for more active dogs, and longer walks at the weekend for extra adventure and stimulation. Your dog would be cared for as if they were my own, with attention, affection, and plenty of exercise. 🐾 As I work from home, dogs in my care are rarely left alone and always have company throughout the day. I tailor walks to each dog’s needs, offering one or two walks daily depending on their routine and energy levels. There are always plenty of cuddles, attention and gentle supervision.. 🐾 Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are always my top priority. In my home, I provide a calm, secure and loving environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. I take time to understand each dog’s routine, preferences and any special requirements so they feel settled and comfortable. I maintain consistent boundaries, supervise interactions, and ensure doors and outdoor spaces are secure at all times. Walks are carried out safely, with close attention to surroundings and other dogs. I only allow off-lead time where recall is reliable and agreed with the owner.🐾

Jon and Jennifer were wonderful from our initial chat. We arranged a meet and greet before they came to look after Angus. It's obvious from the moment you meet them both that they have a love and passion for dogs. During their stay with Angus he went everywhere with them, for lunch, to a dog park and even to bed! Cannot express how happy we were. We will definitely rebook and would recommend to anyone looking for a sitter in your own home.

About: I enjoy walking and often socialise with my mum's little dog. I always cuddle on the sofa but appreciate if you bring toys to keep them occupied. Semi retired and have more time for the best kind of company! I don't sleep in late or feed pets our human food. We can use WhatsApp to send pet photoshoots! I give them lots of extra attention if they are pining after being left. My garden has a patio and is enclosed. Pets are treated like a member of the family! I live near lots of nature reserves and follow owners instructions regarding care, feeding and walking.

About: I've been a pet owner my entire life and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, particularly large, high-energy breeds that require plenty of exercise and attention. I'm very active and enjoy long walks, outdoor adventures, and keeping dogs engaged and happy. I provide a high standard of care, treating every pet as if they were my own. I have recently moved back from South Korea where I have been an international school teacher for many years. I currently tutor online and am looking for ways to enjoy time in different cities/ have a change in pace of life! I have lots of time to care for pets during my daily schedule. I currently have no pets so want to use my energy and love to care for others. Due to a adventurous pet dog as a child, I am aware of the challenges that can be faced with energetic, big dogs so I will use this experience to keep your pets safe.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in North Norfolk on Rover is £47.15 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 271 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across North Norfolk. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred North Norfolk walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Norfolk choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
