“Imogen took such great care of my doggies whilst I was at my graduation with my family. They were so happy to see her and she gave them lovely walks and lots of cuddles. We even got photo updates of the boys. I would definitely recommend Imogen to care for your pooch.”

“Maya was great, she took good care of Bae and offered him plenty of walks. He was happy to stay with her. Maya was very diligent in sending me pictures of their walks or Bae’s chill down time, and that was very reassuring for us. We definitely recommend Maya and we will surely use her services on future occasions.”

“Nora was quite simply excellent! We were visiting Cromer to attend a funeral and needed an understanding dog-sitter to care for our dog at the Airbnb (with the host's prior consent). Nora was punctual for both the initial meet-and-greet with our dog on the previous day and for the actual dog sitting. She totally understood the handling requirements of our potentially nervous ex-rescue dog and she quickly won our dog over. Nora was understanding of our situation and communication with her was pleasant and easy. I would wholeheartedly recommend her as a dog sitter. Thank you so very much Nora for being so understanding and helpful on what was a difficult day for us.”

“Lisa was great with Juno, straight down to her level with lots of fuss. really good communicator and overall just a very reassuring person to leave with the care of your beloved pet. Totally recommend.”

“Elizabeth was absolutely fantastic, lots of updates including photos and she was so kind, she even got us some sandwiches for when we got home as we got back so late! Highly recommend her and we will definitely be using her again xxx”

“Jess and Alex were lovely and looked after our three doggies while we went out for a meal. They kept our dogs company and sent a message and photos to let us know our dogs had all settled and were snoozing happily.”

“Imogen is an excellent house sitter. She is conscientious and clearly passionate about animals. She took the time to fully understand what was required to care for our three pets and kept me informed throughout. Imogen is self sufficient, tidy and reliable. I’d have no hesitation recommending Imogen to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life from Dachshunds and terriers through to rescues and Labradors. I’ve recently retired and lost my companion Charlie so I’m hoping to invest my love in your precious one now. I’m recently retired so expect to spend all day with your pet, making them part of my life while they are with me. I live in a city centre maisonette and have a small secure outside space for fresh air, but there are also parks near me and all the smells and excitement of the city. I follow whatever exercise routine and rules you have at home. Pets can come on the sofa for cuddles if you allow that, and can either sleep downstairs or upstairs on the bed with me.
“Zoe came and looked after our Labrador and cat on New Year’s Eve at our house. She was incredible. Was very professional with everything that she did, we had no problems and would 100% use Zoe again. We can’t recommend her highly enough.”

“Jez was a fantastic dog sitter. We had him stay for a few days at our flat with our two pups. Both are big dogs with lots of quirks and Jez handled them in stride, including giving them both their medicine (not always an easy task!). We felt at ease knowing he was with them, and would definitely book again/recommend to others! Thanks Jez!”
“Abigail looked after our dog for us while we were on holiday and he had the best staycation with her and her dog. We felt reassured he was having the comforts of a home away from home and were kept up updated with photos during his time there. Would definitely recommend Abigail she has a passion for dogs and our dog Reggie settled very quickly with her in her home! Abigail was brilliant and accommodating particularly as Reggie needed some extra care whilst he was recovering from a recent operation.”

Megan was a brilliant and trustworthy pet and house sitter, looking after our dog and guinea pigs for our weekend away. Our dog, Paco, can be a handful sometimes but she handled him with confidence and understanding. It was nice to come home to some happy and pets and a clean and tidy house. Thank you x

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred North Norfolk walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Norfolk choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
