About: I have extensive hands-on experience working with dogs through my previous professional dog handling background, which has given me confidence in caring for a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I am comfortable looking after energetic puppies, larger breeds, and older dogs who may need a gentler pace and extra patience. What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give to every dog, I treat each one as if they were my own, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well looked after while in my care. I pride myself on being reliable, calm, and attentive to every pet’s individual needs. Due to Army commitments, my standard availability is weekends. However, with sufficient notice, I can often accommodate weekday bookings. My day typically starts early with a morning walk from 6:00am, followed by regular care and supervision throughout the day. Dogs in my care receive a lunchtime walk, an evening walk, and plenty of attention in between, with additional toilet breaks, garden time, and play sessions provided whenever needed. I tailor each dog’s routine to suit their individual needs, ensuring they feel comfortable, well-exercised, and cared for throughout their stay. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my priority. I live in an enclosed area with a small fenced garden for safe outdoor time and toilet breaks, and I also have easy access to the nearby old airfield for longer walks and exercise. Every dog in my care is treated like family and looked after in a safe, loving environment.
“Our Retriever enjoyed a very happy stay with Sally, photos were sent every day. They looked after him with love and care and we couldn’t have asked for more. Excellent dog sitters and would highly recommend.”

“Danuta and her family were so accommodating and kind, making sure Floki’s first night away from us was comfortable and reassuring. They went above and beyond to help him settle in and have fun. We’d be delighted for him to stay with them again — their location and flexibility made everything easy and stress-free for us.”

“Another enjoyable week for Hank. He loves to stay with Alanna and her family. He and Dill are big pals. It is so reassuring to go away and leave Hank with full confidence that he is being looked after and spoiled. They go for fun walks, foraging in the fields or just chill in the sun. Thanks!”

“Thank you Jemma for making Marley feel so at home - my kids thought he genuinely looked sad when we took he home! I am sure he cannot wait to stay again. Knowing he was so well looked after and that you enjoyed it also, gives me so much relief and reassurance. Jemma was very accommodating at having an initial meeting, and kept me updated with pictures over the weekend. As this was the first time I have left him with someone that wasn't family, I am so pleased to have found Jemma and really look forward to the next time!”

About: I’ve been looking after dogs since I was around 14 when I would house and dog sit for a neighbour’s beautiful English Setter! I also spent a summer looking after a neighbour’s horses and goats (best summer of my life!). I have a family dog, Pepper, who lives in my family home. I trained her as a puppy and walk her regularly. I miss having animals in my daily life so can’t wait to meet some lovely dogs in my area! I work full time at a hospital, which equates to 3 shifts a week, 12 hours long each shift. This gives me 4 days off a week. Unfortunately, I don’t work set shifts so my schedule changes week by week but I get my rota through 2 months in advance so can plan around it easily! I can also request days off if far enough in advance if needed! My days off are generally spent going on walks (when I’m not doing house work!) or reading. I am happy to follow any and all safety requirements for your dog, including crating and walking them on a lead. I am happy to send regular photos and updates and any other requests. I know it is hard to trust someone with your pet so want to make you as comfortable as possible!

“Jo is wonderful, Inky & Luna aren’t the bravest but Jo quietly persisted and after a week they were looking to her for a fuss. The photos and updates twice a day were really reassuring and lovely to get. Thank you for looking after them like they are your own 🥰”

About: I’ve been around cats my entire life, so caring for them comes naturally. Growing up with cats has given me experience with a wide range of personalities, from confident and affectionate lap cats to nervous and senior cats with more complex needs. I understand that every cat is different and can adapt to different temperaments. Alongside my life long experience with cats, my policing background has shaped me into a dependable, observant and trustworthy person. As a cat sitter, this means you can rely on me to follow your instructions carefully and fully, to respect your home, notice any changes in your cats behaviour and keep you informed with clear updates. Trusting someone with your pet and home is a huge decision, and I take that responsibility seriously.
About: Hey! I am a 21 year old student veterinary nurse, completing my apprenticeship at a local practice. I have been dog walking and sitting for people locally for around 5 years, caring for them before or after work. I studied A levels in Animal Management and have worked since then at a doggy day care centre caring for over 20 dogs at once, whilst also at a farm. I also have two cheeky terriers. Therefore, I am used to a lot of mischief! I also own a lovely cat and have done numerous cat sittings too, staying at the clients house :) it’s fair to say, my life revolves around these four legged creatures- including rabbits and guinea pigs too! I am working full time at the moment, however I work both early and late shifts. Therefore I am happy to visit/ walk your pet before work, or if I’m on a late shift; in the evening afterwards. I am also available some weekends to stay over if needed!:) I currently am not looking after animals in my house due to my naughty terriers being enough to handle by themselves! They aren’t the biggest fan of new friends! However, I am more than happy to visit or stay at your house when needed!

“Ailie has been brilliant - she was communicative and friendly, left the house clean and tidy and most importantly, Geno has been well-cared for and beautifully brushed. We would be happy to use her again.”

About: Hi there! My name is Lyall and I am based in Saffron Walden. I have owned a half Persian half tabby cat for nearly 14 years called Tiger. We had her from a kitten right through to her old age and nursed her through cancer which resulted in having to amputate a leg, so I am fully aware of how to care for a cat / administer medication and injections. Since April 2020 my wife and I have fostered 6 cats/kittens which required nursing back to health before going on to their forever homes - each one taking a piece of our hearts away with them!! We've since had another kitten named Teddy who has grown up with our daughter and is such a ginger cat! Loving but also independent! I am a hard-working, trustworthy, business professional working remotely and would love to help out cat-sitting when you are away. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Best regards, Lyall

About: I’ve always loved dogs and have had my own for four years now (but they would stay at home during any sits!) I groom them myself and am clued up on medical care, also feed them raw so am comfortable with special diets. I can fit pet care around my own dogs, and I work from home mostly so can work from anywhere. I love running and would happily take your dogs out with me! About: Welcome to my Rover profile 🐶🐾 If you're looking for a reliable, experienced pet sitter who genuinely loves animals, I’d be delighted to help take care of your pets and home while you're away. Below is more information on my experience. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me directly. With 25 years' experience caring for animals, including 4 years' volunteering in a rescue shelter, I've developed a deep passion for animals of all kinds. In rescue, I had the pleasure of walking multiple dogs on each visit and caring for a variety of animals. I regularly look after the pets of my neighbours and friends which has given me the opportunity to build trusting relationships with many furry companions. I've been a house sitter for 5 years and had the privilege of working with wonderful clients through Rover. I’ve built lasting connections with pet owners who trust me to look after their homes and pets, as if they were my own. I recently lost my own dog of 15 years, who was an adorable rescue staffy called Teddy from Battersea. I have experience with most breeds and comfortable with dogs of different sizes, ages and temperaments, including anxious or reactive dogs. I always recommend a meet and greet before booking, especially for dogs with specific needs or triggers, to make sure it’s a good fit and your dog feels safe and settled. Please do let me know in advance about any reactivity, routines, medical needs or behavioural quirks, the more I know, the better care I can provide. Thank you :) I am currently working from home (Mon-Fri), and flexible with work and meetings. For requests over 12 miles, a small fee will be charged to cover my petrol costs. Please don’t hesitate to drop me a message if you have any questions and would like to know more. I live in Saffron Walden and have a long garden in the countryside, with plenty of nearby fields, which I love to walk in. I ensure safety of pets by: • using secure leads • walking in safe areas • communicating with owners regularly • learning the commands your dog responds to • understanding your dog’s temperament • if there are any issues (I.e. not good around other dogs, people etc) • understanding what your dog enjoys (swimming in a lake) and finally, by building a great relationship with the pets and owners.
