Janet had a lovely home to take care of Lobo in. She was relaxed and friendly and Lobo who can be nervous when we leave her, was happy to be there. Janet took her plenty walks and took good care of her. Would definitely use Janet again.

I would definitely recommend Naomi, she has been absolutely amazing with macie sent us updates the whole time we were away and macie looked like she was having an amazing time. She seemed so happy almost like she didn’t want to leave to come home. Macie will definitely be back to visit again in the future for her little holiday stay. Thanks very much Naomi x

About: I first became a "dog Mum" 15 years ago to our Westie, Elland, who sadly we lost recently. I sadly was that annoying "Dog Mum" who had pictures of her on my desk and booked holiday for her birthday each year. I took voluntary redundancy nearly 6 years ago so have been fortunate to spend quality time at home with her and take her out and about on our own or with her other doggy friends. Unfortunately she lost her hearing about 3 years ago so learnt quickly how to communicate with her with some basic sign language. She also developed dry eye disease so I had to administer drops 5 times each day. Two of these were determined by time so I had to ensure I was available to give her these on time. The last 5 months of her life, her arthritis worsened so I bought a buggy to help her whilst out for daily walks/sniffs. I have also looked after family dogs whilst they have been on holiday and have accomodated raw feeding for one of family dogs. I live with my husband in a bungalow. He still works but is here in the evenings and at weekends. I work during examination periods at a local college but can accomodate pet sitting around this as dates are known well in advance. My contract with the college is ona casual basis so dog sitting will be my priority. We have used a local dog sitter who stayed in our home when we went on holiday. I therefore understand the importance of providing important information to the pet sitter when leaving the pet. When I first stopped working I volunteered for a local hospice helping support a family who used their services, by walking their dog on a weekly basis to give them some respite and also encourage the dog to socilise. I did this for 12 months. I also volunteered at Wood Green Animal Charity during Covid restrictions. Although I was there to help in the fundraising office, we often had dogs who weren't settling in kennels, come and sit with us in the office for the day. Some were quite withdrawn so I learnt how to slowly gain their trust. I am retired so home all day. My husband works full time but is home in the evenings and at weekends. I do some casual exam invigilating but I know dates for this in advance so will not take on any work if pet sitting is booked. I am happy to be led by the owners on when and what activity their dog (s) are used to so am pretty flexible. I have acess to my own car so can take the dog to any appointments if required. I have a fully fenced in garden (6ft) I live in a village with lots of access to quiet walks in the countryside if required, as well as walks within the village itself. I am happy to book out local secure dog fields if agreed with the owner but this will involve driving to nearby fields. As previously mentioned we live in a bungalow so no stairs. We are based in a quiet cul-de-sac so if your dog is reactive to traffic, should not be a problm here. I have space for a medium size crate if required.

Aimee was a great sitter for our dog! She played with her and took her on walks in the day and the evening. She sent us photos of our dog throughout the day. Aimee was flexible with our pickup time which was so helpful.

About: I've had pets since I was a small girl. I grew up with labradors, cats, rabbits and gerbils. It was only once i'd turned 30 I realised I wanted to be a veterinary nurse. I obtained my qualification December 2024 and was put on the RCVS register 2025. If you need help on an ad hoc basis and my availability fits with what you need, I'd love to be able to help you and your fur baby. I have Wednesdays off most weeks and have two days off either side of a weekend when I work them. The days I am off I am able to be home the whole time I have a fenced garden and a 10 and a half year old cavalier king charles spaniel that loves making new friends. He goes out for small walks but I am more than happy to go for long walks if thats what your fur baby needs

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and can’t imagine a home without them. Over the years, I’ve cared for everything from high energy pups to older dogs who just need a slow stroll and gentle attention. While I’m new to offering pet care through Rover, I bring decades of hands-on experience from raising and looking after dogs within my own family. I take pride in being reliable, patient, and detail-oriented, the kind of person both pets and people can depend on. I occasionally get help from my husband and nephew, who are also lifelong dog owners, but I personally handle all Rover bookings and communication to make sure you always know who’s caring for your pet. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the time, attention, and consistency they need throughout the day. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening playtime, I plan my day around your pet’s routine to keep things as familiar and stress-free as possible. I’m available on both weekdays and weekends, and I can adjust my availability for drop-ins, walks, or overnight stays based on your needs. If your pet has a specific schedule for feeding, walks, or medication, I’m happy to follow it closely. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. At my home, pets are cared for in a secure, structured, and loving environment. I have two friendly resident dogs who are well-socialized and enjoy the company of other dogs. Introductions are always done slowly and safely to ensure everyone feels comfortable. Depending on your pet’s needs, they can either relax indoors as part of the family or enjoy their own space in a clean, secure kennel with a run. I also have a large, fully fenced garden where dogs can play, explore, or just enjoy some fresh air in a safe, enclosed space. I always follow your instructions closely and provide consistent routines, positive reinforcement, and gentle care. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away.

I’ll treat your dog like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages for peace of mind. I work Monday to Thursday mornings, so your pet may be home alone for a few hours during that time. I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and love. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a secure, fully fenced garden where dogs can play safely. I provide a clean, calm, and loving environment and will follow your pet’s routine to help them feel at home. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages during their stay.

Jan & Bruce are brilliant, very caring and made sure my dog Ted was happy and safe. He had a lovely time with them, lots of walks and games in their garden, and snoozing on the sofa. Great communication and updates on how Ted was - we will definitely be back to see them again soon! Thanks J&B!

We decided on a last minute trip out of the country. Anna worked with us every step of the way and made sure we were always in the know with our girl. She would send daily updates and photos. It was a peace of mind while we were away to know our dog was being loved and cared for by such a lovely family. Will use Anna again for boarding in the future.

I can highly recommend Kim and her family as the best dog friendly people to leave your pet with. Buddy is 16 in a month, deaf and a bit slow but he had a wonderful overnight stay with Kim and her beautiful golden retriever girls. Kim sent us a picture to show how settled he was and we enjoyed our concert knowing he was loved and settled.. Thank you very much.

Maisie, our 5yr old Cocker Spaniel stayed with Jodie & James for a week. She appeared comprotable.right from the meet & greet. The updates and photos they sent were lovely & very reassuring to us while we were away. Maisie had only stayed in kennels before and didn't really eat whereas at Jodie's she ate well and loved all the fuss & attention from them both. When we picked her up, she still went back to them for fuss while we were there which says so much to us. We would definitely recommend them & will be more than happy for Maisie to stay with them again.

We left our lab, Indi with Dominic in July '25 and we couldn't be happier with the experience. We received daily updates and knew our Indi was well looked after and loving his time away. Dominic loves dogs and looks after yours as if they were his own. We will be using Dom again and would highly recommend!
