“We have left Barney with Laura 3-4 times. He is always excited to go to her and seems to have great time. As long as Laura is happy to have him, we will be very happy to keep using her.”

“Reggie had a wonderful few days with Mat & his family, Mats communication was excellent, I received daily photos of what Reg was up to. I would highly recommend this accommodating family to anyone. Thanks again to Mat & his family for looking after our fur baby, I will keep hold of your details for the next time I need a dog sitter”

“We left our lab, Indi with Dominic in July '25 and we couldn't be happier with the experience. We received daily updates and knew our Indi was well looked after and loving his time away. Dominic loves dogs and looks after yours as if they were his own. We will be using Dom again and would highly recommend!”

“I can't thank Ly enough for taking such wonderful care of my dog during a one-night stay. Jacko was unfortunately feeling poorly with a bad stomach at the time, but she went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and well looked after. She kept me updated throughout the night with regular messages and lots of photos, which really reassured me and put my mind at ease. It was clear how much she genuinely cared, and it felt more like leaving my dog with family than with a sitter. Her son also helped care for my dog when she wasn’t there, and it was lovely to see that same level of care and kindness from him too. The whole experience had a very homely and warm feel, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them both to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and attentive sitter. Thank you again for everything!”

About: I first became a "dog Mum" 15 years ago to our Westie, Elland, who sadly we lost recently. I sadly was that annoying "Dog Mum" who had pictures of her on my desk and booked holiday for her birthday each year. I took voluntary redundancy nearly 6 years ago so have been fortunate to spend quality time at home with her and take her out and about on our own or with her other doggy friends. Unfortunately she lost her hearing about 3 years ago so learnt quickly how to communicate with her with some basic sign language. She also developed dry eye disease so I had to administer drops 5 times each day. Two of these were determined by time so I had to ensure I was available to give her these on time. The last 5 months of her life, her arthritis worsened so I bought a buggy to help her whilst out for daily walks/sniffs. I have also looked after family dogs whilst they have been on holiday and have accomodated raw feeding for one of family dogs. I live with my husband in a bungalow. He still works but is here in the evenings and at weekends. I work during examination periods at a local college but can accomodate pet sitting around this as dates are known well in advance. My contract with the college is ona casual basis so dog sitting will be my priority. We have used a local dog sitter who stayed in our home when we went on holiday. I therefore understand the importance of providing important information to the pet sitter when leaving the pet. When I first stopped working I volunteered for a local hospice helping support a family who used their services, by walking their dog on a weekly basis to give them some respite and also encourage the dog to socilise. I did this for 12 months. I also volunteered at Wood Green Animal Charity during Covid restrictions. Although I was there to help in the fundraising office, we often had dogs who weren't settling in kennels, come and sit with us in the office for the day. Some were quite withdrawn so I learnt how to slowly gain their trust. I am retired so home all day. My husband works full time but is home in the evenings and at weekends. I do some casual exam invigilating but I know dates for this in advance so will not take on any work if pet sitting is booked. I am happy to be led by the owners on when and what activity their dog (s) are used to so am pretty flexible. I have acess to my own car so can take the dog to any appointments if required. I have a fully fenced in garden (6ft) I live in a village with lots of access to quiet walks in the countryside if required, as well as walks within the village itself. I am happy to book out local secure dog fields if agreed with the owner but this will involve driving to nearby fields. As previously mentioned we live in a bungalow so no stairs. We are based in a quiet cul-de-sac so if your dog is reactive to traffic, should not be a problm here. I have space for a medium size crate if required.

About: I’ve grown up with pets and have dog / house sat for many families and have walked family and friends pets as jobs over the past 25 years . I don’t have my own so am free to help with yours! My husband currently still travels for work so I have plenty of flexible time. I have just moved home to honington, suffolk from Bermuda and am looking to pet sit, dog walk any time as am currently not working so am very flexible with hours and time! I will happily look after your pet in your own home, I can also have a dog in my home as we live in a quiet village and have a big enclosed garden that is very safe and secure. I love to walk and would take care to walk your dog in the beautiful countryside.
“Tatyana was very flexible and took in our dogs at short notice and had great communication throughout their stay. They were cared for well and we were very satisfied with her service.”

“Aimee was a great sitter for our dog! She played with her and took her on walks in the day and the evening. She sent us photos of our dog throughout the day. Aimee was flexible with our pickup time which was so helpful.”

“Lina was great with our dog, home from home and regularly updated on what he was up to, with photos and messages. I Would recommend Lina and her partner to anyone in need of dog care and will book again for Ronnie”

“I picked Rummy up from his most recent stay with Kane. As per usual, Rummy had the best time. I don't think he wanted to leave just yet! Kane and Stephen treat Rummy as their own and I recieve daily updates when i'm away. The relief knowing my boy is safe and sound is priceless when i'm on holiday. For me, Kane is the only option outside of family that I would consider when I need someone to have Rummy.”

About: I have been around dogs my entire life quite literally, my first present as a newborn straight out of hospital was a gorgeous black ball of fur aka Tyson a German shepherd puppy and from that day on we were inseparable…. Needless to say now gsd’s are my favorite breed and will always be my favorite butttt and that’s a very big but all dogs of all shapes and sizes hold a special place in my heart. I get on with dogs better then I do humans forming special bonds and an instant attachment to any dog I lay eyes on. I can’t go anywhere without stopping whoever has a dog and asking them if I can make a fuss of them so I thought I would put this love or obsession whatever you like to call it to good use and help others and welcome your dogs into my home where they will be loved like my own and part of our pack… food bowls washed throughly after every use and water bowls washed every time it’s refilled. Long walks every day or even 2 times a day and no I’m not talking a hour at a time I’m talking 3-4 hours I believe dogs should be outside exploring not inside all day… mental stimulation is a must… I’m not saying I’m perfect I’m just saying I know what I’m doing 🥰🥰 I am currently a stay at home mum who is looking for an extra income to contribute more to my household and my family? So I have availability pretty much all day every day from 10 AM up until 2 o’clock I am free and from 4:30 till whenever you need I am free. I will have my children with me if you are happy with that I have a baby and a toddler that don’t go to school yet if it’s at the weekend, then I will be Child free. This does not affect my ability to do my job as I have pets myself and I look after them with my children. If your dogs are other dog friendly, I’m happy for your dogs to join us, if not that’s ok too I can take them separately. I have two dogs myself who are more than happy to keep your dogs company. I can crate your dog for safety, If it is needed I have a garden and children that would love to play with your dogs if your dogs are at my home or you are happy for my children to play with your dogs then my toddler is more than happy to if my other two are at school. I have plenty of fans in my house for this hot weather and they are on all the time. If your dog is at my home, there is freshwater everywhere in my home. I have no rules in my house for dogs, being toilet trained is preferred but if your dog is old incontinent or still a puppy, it is absolutely fine. I have hardwood floors and dogs have accidents happen. It’s easily cleaned up. Your dog will be more than at home here they’ll be allowed up on the sofas in our garden.

“Holly had a wonderful stay with Sasha this week! Sasha was lovely, and came to meet us in advance so we would all know who we were trusting with Holly. During her stay, Sasha sent photos of Holly nearly every day - these reassured us that Holly had settled in and was having a good time. I'd give Sasha more than 5 stars if I could, and we will definitely look to book her again next time we need a dog sitter.”

“Wade and Michelle took amazing care of our very nervous and quite high maintenance dog, Cookie. They very kindly met Cookie in advance, and during the stay sent regular updates and photos of them on walks and snuggling on the sofa. They are a lovely family and we will be using them again.”

“Lloyd was so communicative and Rory had a great time with him and Hudson! Lots of walks to open fields and she came home happy and tuckered out! So so happy with Rory’s care during her time with Lloyd.”

“Papaya loved her time with Sarah. I was updated regularly with photos and messages. Sarah and her family are absolutely great and I am so happy I found d an absolutely great sitter for my dog.”

“I can highly recommend Kim and her family as the best dog friendly people to leave your pet with. Buddy is 16 in a month, deaf and a bit slow but he had a wonderful overnight stay with Kim and her beautiful golden retriever girls. Kim sent us a picture to show how settled he was and we enjoyed our concert knowing he was loved and settled.. Thank you very much.”

“Jan & Bruce are brilliant, very caring and made sure my dog Ted was happy and safe. He had a lovely time with them, lots of walks and games in their garden, and snoozing on the sofa. Great communication and updates on how Ted was - we will definitely be back to see them again soon! Thanks J&B!”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Northwold
On 21st February, 2026 Alfy had a ‘day care’ session with Tracey. This was remarkably successful and prompted an immediate booking for June 2026. The June 2026 booking was to cover a 48-hour period that we were some 120 miles distant from Norfolk that required Alfy being separated from us. The service given to us by Tracey was as expected, namely a period of diligent care for our pet knowing that Alfy would be well looked after. In particular, the service included numerous photographs and videos of Alfy in various situations, putting our minds at rest that all was well. We suspect that Alfy had a wonderful time mixing with other dogs, not unnecessary needing anything out-of-the-ordinary, and hopefully not missing us too much. On collecting Alfy from Tracey, he seemed pleased to see us, giving us the confidence that he had been very well looked after. A comment made by us to Tracey on our departure was made with true sincerity concerning using Tracey’s services again “Tracey is on our list …. of one”. Thank-you Tracey.
