We were very apprehensive about leaving Max as this was the first time , Mat put us at ease straight away. Whilst we were away we had regular updates and pictures which was fantastic and put us straight as ease, and meant we could enjoy our holiday knowing max was being well taken care of. Max had a lovely week with Mat and his family, it was hot in the uk whilst we were away and all efforts where made to keep max nice and comfortable. I would highly recommend Mat and we will definitely be using his services again.

I’m so grateful to have found Monique! From the start, she was friendly and welcoming. I don’t usually leave Dexter with anyone outside of family, but Monique completely put my mind at ease - both before and during his stay. Her communication was fantastic; I received regular updates without having to ask. I was also able to visit beforehand for a meet and greet, which was really reassuring. When I came to pick Dexter up, he was having such a great time that it took him a moment to even notice I was there! It was clear he’d been treated like part of the family. I can’t thank Monique and her family enough for looking after my boy so well, and I’ll definitely be using her services again! 😊

Alex and her family looked after Sonny for three days while we were away, and we couldn't have asked for better care. We received daily updates and photos, which gave us complete peace of mind. Sonny was clearly very happy, well looked after, and treated as part of the family. He enjoyed regular walks, including lovely walks in the forest, and it was wonderful to see him having such a great time. Alex was caring, reliable, and attentive to all of Sonny's needs. We are incredibly grateful for the love and care Sonny received and would highly recommend Alex and her family to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and trustworthy home for their pet.

About: Hello! We are Paulo and Francisco, a couple offering home boarding and pet care from our spacious home with a large, fully fenced and secure garden. We have shared our lives with pets for many years and currently care for Juno, our friendly 5-year-old Chow Chow, and Misha, our beloved 17-year-old cat. We have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, including senior pets and those requiring daily medication. Because we both work from home, visiting pets receive plenty of attention, companionship, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. Misha is very accustomed to dogs and gets along well with them. However, if your dog is not comfortable around cats, our house is large enough for Misha to have her own separate spaces away from visiting pets, ensuring everyone feels safe, relaxed, and comfortable. We understand that every pet is unique and will do our best to follow their usual routine, making sure they feel happy, secure, and loved while you’re away. We both work from home and are lifelong animal lovers, so your pet will enjoy plenty of company, attention, and care throughout the day. Our home is already shared with Juno, our friendly Chow Chow, and Misha, our 17-year-old cat, and we understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. Whether they love long walks, garden playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or a quiet place to relax, we’ll do our best to make them feel completely at home. Your pet will stay in our spacious, pet-friendly home with access to a large, fully fenced and secure garden. We have experience caring for both dogs and cats, including senior pets and those requiring medication. We always take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and individual needs. We share our home with Juno, our friendly 5-year-old Chow Chow, who enjoys the company of other dogs, and Misha, our much-loved 17-year-old cat. Misha is accustomed to dogs and generally gets along well with them. However, if your dog is not comfortable around cats, Misha has plenty of separate areas within the house where she can relax undisturbed, ensuring everyone feels safe and comfortable. Our home is a calm adult-only environment with no children, making it particularly suitable for pets who prefer a quieter setting. We carefully supervise introductions and make every effort to create a safe, happy, and stress-free experience for all pets in our care.

Kaylee and her family took wonderful care of my dog Mango. I think Mango might have happily stayed there indefinitely! Mango has a few issues and was awaiting surgery when Kaylee looked after her. All of the advice was followed, Kaylee was happy to give medication, and made sure that Mango was as comfortable as possible during her stay with plenty of love and attention. Thanks Kaylee!

I wish I could leave more than 5 stars for Hayley and Lee! Lovely couple with a gorgeous, clean and comfortable house where our boy Aslan felt comfortable immediately. Their little Frenchie, Bonnie, was also such a sweet girl and accommodating to our boy. We got regular updates and pictures of the walks and adventures our boy went on during our holiday away. So glad we've found someone we can trust our boy with. We missed him loads while we were away but we're happy to know that he was happy and well cared for. We look forward to becoming regulars with Hayley and Lee as they made our holiday that much easier for us!

Such a kind and thoughtful woman. Our dog is allergic to Christmas trees, and Andrea was so accommodating, that she moved her tree away from any areas our dog had access too. We got the feeling that nothing was too much trouble for her, and we're very grateful that she could take in our dog at such short notice. We would definitely recommend Andrea and her beautiful dog.

Charlotte and her partner have been great with Chilli our German Pinscher. Anyone who knows the breed will know they can be highly strung and it is a credit to Charlotte that whenever we have picked up Chilli from a stay he has seemed comfortable and relaxed. We will continue using their services as long as they are happy to have Chilli back with them.

We left our border terrier with Tracey over Easter weekend at quite short notice, while visiting family in Norwich. Tracey was recommended by a family friend, and absolutely lived up to the recommendation! She was very accommodating of our dog's little quirks, very quick to respond to messages and kept us updated with lots of photos and videos while he was with her. The dogs have a very large and secure garden to play in, plus walks, and our dog came home happy. We'd recommend without hesitation, and Tracey will be our first port of call for future Norfolk visits.

FAQs for Dog Boarding - Breckland

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Breckland on Rover is £34.5 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
