I have cared for tortoises, goldfish, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, cats, and dogs of all ages and temperaments. I have also successfully bred and raised dogs, overseeing a mother through three litters of puppies and providing comprehensive care for all puppies until they were eight weeks old. This included monitoring their health, socialization, nutrition, and early training, ensuring each puppy developed strong foundations for lifelong well-being. My approach to pet care is attentive, compassionate, and tailored to each individual animal’s needs, whether it’s maintaining specialized enclosures for reptiles, ensuring proper nutrition and enrichment for small mammals, or providing exercise, stimulation, and medical support for dogs and cats. I provide feeding, fresh water, exercise, enrichment, grooming where needed, and regular health monitoring each day. I also ensure living areas are kept clean and that each animal receives plenty of love, attention, and positive interaction. My flexible schedule means I am able to adapt to the individual needs of each pet, whether that involves walks, playtime, administering medication if required, or simply providing companionship. “Paulina had Buster for the weekend for the first time. Communication prior to the weekend was 100% On arrival Paulina took note of Busters routine with his medication etc and carried this out perfectly. During the weekend we got lots of pics reassuring us how happy he was, Paulina enquired prior to our departure how much communication (pics, updates) we wished for and we got plenty which was reassuring for us. Paulina ensured Busters walks were at the appropriate times if the day as it was very hot when she had him (you may be reading this in the winter, but it was hot). As Buster is great on car journeys he was taken on a lovely day out/walk too. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the whole experience and will 1000% use Paulina again.”
“Sonny & Luna our sproker spaniels had a lovely 1 night stay with William and his wife. From arrival Sonny & Luna were able to go searching and sniffing freely in the large garden and house. Sonny quickly found the toy box and played one of his favourite games of emptying it one toy at a time and hiding them around the garden. They were taken on walks and we had videos and photos sent to us regularly over the 24 hours. Thank you William, I would definately recommend and confidently use you again to care for my spaniels”

Paulo and Francisco were amazing with my dog Purdey- she’s scared of everything and can be grumpy with other dogs but they put me at ease on the meet and greet and then when I dropped Purdey off for her stay. They kept me updated throughout the sit with photos and information about how she was getting on, eating, sleeping and I enjoyed receiving pictures of her. Purdey seems to have enjoyed her stay and I will certainly be going back to Paulo and Francisco in the future- thank you so much to you both!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
