We have shared our lives with pets for many years and currently care for Juno, our friendly 5-year-old Chow Chow, and Misha, our beloved 17-year-old cat. However, if your dog is not comfortable around cats, our house is large enough for Misha to have her own separate spaces away from visiting pets, ensuring everyone feels safe, relaxed, and comfortable. We both work from home and are lifelong animal lovers, so your pet will enjoy plenty of company, attention, and care throughout the day. Our home is already shared with Juno, our friendly Chow Chow, and Misha, our 17-year-old cat, and we understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. Whether they love long walks, garden playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or a quiet place to relax, we’ll do our best to make them feel completely at home. We have experience caring for both dogs and cats, including senior pets and those requiring medication. We always take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and individual needs. We share our home with Juno, our friendly 5-year-old Chow Chow, who enjoys the company of other dogs, and Misha, our much-loved 17-year-old cat. Misha is accustomed to dogs and generally gets along well with them. However, if your dog is not comfortable around cats, Misha has plenty of separate areas within the house where she can relax undisturbed, ensuring everyone feels safe and comfortable. Our home is a calm adult-only environment with no children, making it particularly suitable for pets who prefer a quieter setting. We carefully supervise introductions and make every effort to create a safe, happy, and stress-free experience for all pets in our care.
“Kaylee and her family took wonderful care of my dog Mango. I think Mango might have happily stayed there indefinitely! Mango has a few issues and was awaiting surgery when Kaylee looked after her. Tracey was recommended by a family friend, and absolutely lived up to the recommendation! She was very accommodating of our dog's little quirks, very quick to respond to messages and kept us updated with lots of photos and videos while he was with her. The dogs have a very large and secure garden to play in, plus walks, and our dog came home happy. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
