“Another great doggie day for our Olly with Ryan. We tried our first house sit today and Olly showed no signs or worry and there were plenty of photos to look at all of his adventures. So pleased we have found Ryan”

“Maggie was so lovely - she came to meet the dogs before looking after them! Great communication and the doggies loved her!! Thank you so much for taking care of them xx”

“Jake came to stay overnight for us when we were away. He turned up on time and I felt really confident that the house and Zeus world be in excellent hands while we are away. He kept in regular contact with us and when we returned it was clear that he had taken really good care of Zeus and the house. Would recommend and look forward to Jake coming back to help us again.”

“Harry was excellent! He was extremely responsible, great with my dogs and an excellent communicator. I felt very safe with him being there, and my dogs loved it too. He left everything very tidy and was very patient with my many checkins (it was my first time leaving the dogs so I was nervous!). I’d highly recommend Harry to anyone looking for a responsible pet sitter, and I will definitely be using him again!”
“Jess C. Was an excellent sitter for Clyde. A very nice and pleasant young lady. She sent us regular reports and photographs. She left the house and a very clean and tidy state. I would not hesitate to book Jess C. In the future. And I can highly recommend her to any one else who wants a pet sitter in the future. Thank you Jess C. ?”

I’m currently doing an online uni course dog training and behaviour (stsk9). I have had my own business in 2020. Working with dogs is my full time job. I provide lots of love and care for your beloved pets. I am able to provide a tailored experience that meets your dogs / pets needs and follow their normal daily routine. Working with dogs is my full time job so your dog will have my full company. I will meet their needs based on their breed and age. I live in a quiet and pet friendly area with a spacious and fenced back yard. I live local to a field and river which are both perfect for walks. I also drive so can go to different places (if your dog is happy to travel in a car) If your dog uses a crate please bring it along as I will stick to their routine of when they use it (eg overnight, during the day at certain times etc) I do have a spare XL crate here for larger breeds.

About: I have worked at a doggy day care for 4 years, and cared for family and friends dogs for longer. I am DBS checked and insured. Caring for pets is part of my everyday life and something I genuinely enjoy. Alongside my experience working in doggy day care, I make time in my routine for walks, play, feeding, and giving pets plenty of attention and companionship. I understand how important consistency is, so I do my best to keep pets comfortable and happy while sticking to their usual routine. I love getting outdoors and playing with the dogs, as well as curling up on the sofa for a calm evening in. I believe dogs are happiest when their routine stays consistent, so I follow owners’ instructions carefully and provide reliable, attentive care in their home. From walks and feeding to playtime and companionship, I aim to make dogs feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while treating both their home and routine with respect. I also love sending cute updates to owners showing what we have been up too.

“Oscar looked after our frenchie Benny this weekend and he had an amazing time. Oscar arrived on time, listened to benny’s needs and kept me updated throughout. Thanks again Oscar!”

“Maria was a first class house/pet sitter. My two boys seemed to take to her straight away and were perfectly relaxed around her as the regular photo updates she forwarded to me were testament to. Maria understood my requirements regarding their feeding regime which is quite complex and she kept my home in good order - I would recommend Maria to anyone needing a reliable pet sitter.”

“Imran is a gentle and caring dog sitter, who was very respectful of my home. Boris my cockerpoo was extremely well cared for and spoilt with walks and cuddles. I received many updates of their time together which gave me reassurance that all was well at home. I will definitely be booking him for my next trip away. Julia Brown”

About: I’m not just a pet lover; I’m trained in professional animal care. I run my own pet photography business (which includes a hybrid sitting/photography service) called The Dog Frame. Maria did a fantastic job house sitting for us while caring for our dogs, cats, chickens, and parrot. She looked after all the animals wonderfully and kept us updated, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. We came home to a spotless, tidy house and very happy pets. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Maria - she was reliable, caring, and incredibly helpful throughout. We would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and conscientious house sitter.

Shannon did great with Monty. Really attentive and made sure he stuck with his routine. Took him out for walks and was able yo update us throughout the night whilst we were away. Left our home clean and tidy, which is a relief with such a manic 4 weel old! Can't fault her so full 5 stars. Have recommended her to our neighbour who needs a committed walker.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Boston walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Boston choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
