Lynn is a great communicator in making sure my pups are content and happy. I needed a new dog sitter last minute and she was up for it! I am thankful for her care and shared love with my doggies.

Rusty has been great with my dog, Kota! Since Kota can be nervous around new people, we scheduled a meet-and-greet prior to any visits. Rusty took the time to get to know his quirks, and allowed for a slow introduction. He has been very reliable and flexible, and always provides detailed updates. I highly recommended booking with Rusty!

About: I will give your dog my full attention as well as my children. We all love animals. My children are super gentle and loving and love to take walks so finding time to take your dog for a walk will be no problem! I am home all day so your dog will get lots of attention! I am choosing to do this because the kids want a dog but I am not fully committed to buying one of our own quite yet, so dog sitting will please everyone. I have a huge yard with the option of fenced in and unfenced areas. We have very few neighbors so if your pup is a barker it will be not a problem. Lots of space to take dogs for walks without running into other people or animals.

About: What sets me apart is my experience as a veterinary technician and the genuine love and care I have for every animal I meet. 🐾 I’m comfortable caring for dogs and cats of all ages, personalities, and needs, including puppies, seniors, and pets who require medications or extra attention. I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and comfort level. My veterinary experience has taught me how to recognize changes in behavior, handle pets calmly and patiently, and make sure they feel safe and cared for while their family is away. Whether your pet needs a long walk, extra cuddles, medication, or simply someone to keep them company, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. ❤️ Pet care is already a big part of my daily life!🐾 As a veterinary technician, I spend my workdays caring for animals, so I’m very comfortable with different personalities, routines, and care needs. Outside of work, I love spending time with animals and would be happy to dedicate my free time to giving your pets the same love and attention I give my own. I’m available for pet care around my work schedule and will always communicate clearly about my availability. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine, whether they need a quick check in, feeding and playtime, medication, or some extra company while you’re away. ❤️ I care for every pet based on their individual needs, personality, and routine.🐾 When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. This includes feeding, fresh water, walks or playtime, litter box cleaning, medication administration when needed, and plenty of attention and companionship. As a veterinary technician, I’m comfortable caring for pets with different ages, personalities, and care requirements. I’m also attentive to changes in behavior or health and will communicate with you throughout your pet’s stay.My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while giving you peace of mind. ❤️

It was our first time using Rover so we're a little nervous, but we're so happy that we went with Mariah. She was amazing and good with communication. We also appreciated the pictures she sent of our little Tank, it gave us peace of mind while we're out. Will definitely book with her again in the future. Thanks again Mariah! ?❣️

She arrived a little early so we could go over Ollie’s routine and instructions, which I really appreciated. She was also very friendly, polite, and easy to talk to. She followed instructions, such as giving Ollie his enrichment toy and taking him outside. During the visit, there was an accident in the playpen that was not communicated to me and wasn’t fully cleaned up, and I also noticed Ollie’s water dish was empty. I appreciated her kindness and willingness to help, but I would have liked clearer communication about how the visit went. That said, she was good with Ollie and he really liked her.

About: With having a profession in animal care and living with dogs and cats my entire life, I have lots of experience taking care of pets. I, regularly, handle very friendly and very unfriendly/anti-social dogs and cats, which is very fun for me! I work full-time taking care of animals, but will be available after hours for at least a few hours most days and have most of Friday and Saturday available. I do not offer services in my own home, but I am able to offer every service in yours. I can walk, play with, and just interact with your animals in whatever way you need and if they do not socialize in those types of ways, that's alright too!

About: Hi! I’m a pet sitter with a soft spot for all creatures—furry, scaly, or spidery. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, geckos, bearded dragons, fish, guinea pigs, bunnies, chickens, and tarantulas, and I know how to handle both the basics and the more unique needs. Tattoos and piercings aside, I’m reliable, responsible, and genuinely love animals. I’m here to make sure your pets feel safe, seen, and well cared for while you’re away—whether that means a walk, tank check, or just some love and attention. I’m a local college student home for summer break so I am flexible and free to meet your needs, from long-term to daily check-ins to hours of play! I am very specific with my interaction with your pets— any instructions, no matter how weird or detailed, I will follow to ensure great care for your pet.

About: I have been housesitting and pet sitting for about 6 years now. I love dogs and I have one of my own! I am a very active person so I enjoy going on walks and playing with dogs. When I was about 12 I started to train CCI dogs and I love it so much! I have trained 4 dogs already. I am very familiar with giving pets medication if needed. I love being able to care for others pets because of how much I love my own. I want to provide you with the most thoughtful and loving care to your pets! I am currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to care for your pups! I do have some school obligations but those are also only two days a week for minimal hours. Unfortunately I am not able to host pups in my own home but I will gladly ensure the upmost safety and trust in your own home!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tyrone. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 88% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
