About: Calm, experienced, loving, empathic and conscientious - I am your dog’s next best friend 🩷 I’ve trained Australian Shepherd’s since I was 13, reaching amateur level junior competitions throughout high school. Today I have two rescue dogs of my own - a border collie mix and a beagle /chihuahua/pit mix (lots of energy). Because of my two dogs, I hike everyday. I love spending time outside in nature with animals, and will be sure to keep your pup happy and healthy! I am an organic vegetable farmer during the growing season (April-November) and work seasonal odd jobs and non profit work when I am in the off season. I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule and love to walk/hike/swim/adventure at all times of day and during any weather. In my house, pets rule. We have done agility, obedience and scent training with both dogs so I have a lot of tools in my toolbox to keep a dog busy and occupied.

Going outside playing time etc. we have two seniors who you have to be extra gentle with and one very active very large puppy. He is extremely professional and attentive to the very specific needs of our dogs Sent pictures throughout and checked in with us. We told him he could leave because we were running a bit late but he insisted on staying with the dogs until we arrived home which was super thoughtful of him. Highly recommended.”

She takes the time out of her day to make sure they get plenty of attention and time outside to play. She also stays at our house when she watches the dogs and the house is always in great shape afterwards too. Her attention to detail, her ability to tune into our particular needs and willingness to take care of chickens as well as our dog, plus a LOL sense of humor made us feel at ease leaving our home and loved ones in her care. Dana kept in contact with us just the right amount the whole week we were gone. When we came home it was if we had never left, happy dog and chickens and tidy home. “River is my go-to person for cat care! They have a lovely and gentle presence, are a joy to be around, and are attentive and caring with my two cats, Ripley and Boycat. Because of medical issues, my cats eat separate food with a somewhat involved preparation process. River has been amazing at working with their/my needs and keeping them healthy while I'm away. The cats are often suspicious of newcomers, but they took to River immediately! It means so much to be able to leave town and trust that my kitties are being well-taken care of. Can't recommend River enough!”

We like that he is available in the evening if we want to go out and see a show or have a nice dinner. Josh will come by to take care of the dog and we don't have to worry.
