About: "I've taken care of dog's and cats of every kind i have fostered through the city of Albuquerque for years and have my own dog's and cats. Animals are truly my passion and this wouldn't be just a "job" for me. I have a flexible a schedule and you can always talk to me if you need different days or hours we can go from there. I was very reassured when I dropped Buttercup off and was very happy when I picked her up and saw how happy she was. About: For more than 30 years, I have cared for my own as well as my children's pets and loved every minute of it. I am retired and I try not to take dogs from more than one family at a time. In addition, I do not currently have any pets of my own. This allows me to provide individualized and specialized care, love and attention to your pet, rather than sharing my time and attention with many pets. Your pet will be a part of the family, in a home away from home, rather than being in a small confined space while you are gone. This is one unique aspect of my pet care services that differs from many pet sitters, boarders and kennels. I own a good size ranch style home with a large fenced in yard for dogs to run and play. Before retiring, I worked as a licensed nurse for 43 years and raised two amazing successful children, during which we welcomed dogs, cats, birds, hamsters and fish into our home. I have experience caring for senior pets (administering medication, extra calm time and snuggles, etc.), lots of experience with small dogs (I have a senior Chihuahua), large dogs, cats, horses and even snakes! I'm incredibly nurturing and have a lot of experience identifying what dogs and cats need to feel comfortable & know what it takes for them to thrive. I have experience working with shy dogs & earning their trust, as well as experience with high energy dogs that need a lot of mental & physical stimulation. I've been trained on deciphering dog body language and always remain aware so that if anything were to come up, I'd be able to take action immediately. Your pets will not be disappointed with the careful care and love I will give them while you are away. Please let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to answer! I work from home Monday-Friday so your pet won’t be without company! If I leave my home it’s usually only for a couple hours at a time. I provide pet sitting in my home and will ensure your dog is comfortable and happy. I know sticking to your dog’s routine is important to keep stress at a minimum. I have a nice backyard and a cozy home and I think your pup will feel right at home.
