“I was very hesitant to book again on Rover because my first house sitting experience wasn't the best. So I was very pleasantly surprised with our experience with Melanie. She was extremely attentive to both our cat and dog and made them both feel loved. She would send me photos and videos of playing with the pets and getting right on the floor with them. She spent a lot of time playing with them and giving them lots of love and attention. She followed all of my directions and went above and beyond. She was very communicative and asked anything she wasn't sure about. Our cat wasn't eating well when we first left so she let me know right away and then we worked together to get him eating more. Our dog has some medical issues and needs to take medications 4 times daily, which Melanie did a great job of. He never missed a dose! She shoveled (a lot!), took the garbage out, did all the laundry that she used while she was here and kept the house looking great. We felt very comfortable knowing that both of our fur babies were in great hands with her and could thus enjoy our vacation. I would highly recommend her and will be booking with her again very soon :)”

About: For future reference; will not be accepting non neutered or spayed cats/dogs unless accompanied by a crate, especially if their not trained please. I do have one myself, so not that you need to have one per se but allow use if necessary! This is partially for Henrys experience too, so please keep that in mind when reading this; its not to be snarky. I have trained two dogs growing up who have above average listening and response times. Positive reinforcement was key to my success, psychology paid off. One was a rescue dog; she was such a sweet heart but it took some time getting her to open up based off her traumatic experiences prior to entering the adoption location she luckily found her way too. Henry on the other hand, was purchased from a breeder, so fortunately for him less baggage, and unfortunately for her given the circumstances. I've done dog sitting/pet care for family dogs when family members would go on vacation for anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks. Medication administration is a non issue, as well as grooming is another area I take great pride in doing myself, as it's a good trait to have being a pet owner. Have cared for puppies, adult or senior dogs; we were a dog first family growing up so I've grown to love them more than you can realize just through descriptions; with my active daily lifestyle it allows for the animals to gain as much out of exercise as I do and working from home helps as well. I treat animals as if their my family or children, so they'd receive the same treatment one would expect from a friend baby sitting their children. Seamlessly; he wakes up when I do and is let out accordingly at 4 AM we go for multiple walks a day most notably 430 AM and 530 PM. I work from home so it makes it very manageable to get him outside for bathroom breaks within 2-2.5 hour interval periods. I'd like to think we both operate at a high level through one another. We feed off one another, so when he's upbeat I am too, but when I'm down he has his tricks that ensure a great therapeutic touch. I treat them as if their my children; I speak to them in a way they understand with words or phrases we've practiced or has practiced to ensure optimal success in regards to understanding one another. Henry and I like to play often with his toys or just horsing around with Belly rubs and chasing him around the house. He sleeps with me too, so no furniture is off limits as I usually have blankets or other covers in place to manage hair loss.

About: I have lived with animals my entire life! Currently I have a dog and a cat. My dog is a 2.5 year old beagle and my cat is about 5 years old and he's a grey long haired cat. They both get along great (at times) and I love having them in my life. I have had experience with administering medications to dogs and cats, administering insulin to dogs, bottle feeding puppies, taking care of litters of puppies, teaching commands, mentally stimulating both dogs and cats and making sure they are physically stimulated as well. I do it daily with my own but I am a full time student at the moment. I have classes both online and in person but I only go in person a few days a week so I have lots of time to take care of your animals. I do not offer in home but when I am in a clients home I treat it and their animals as if they are my own. I go and do the job that I am there to do without causing any problems.

About: I love dogs! I have experience taking care of big and small, well and not so well behaved dogs : ). I have a private property for ball throwing and running around. I work at home so I have the time to care for your dog. My main reason to do this is because I love pets but I am not ready for my own again just yet. I work from home full time! I would be able to give your dog walks before work, lunch, and after work. I’m open to special needs. I have 10 acres. It’s not fenced but has a treed border. I would have your pet at my home. I don’t have any other pets or children in the home.

About: I've been caring for a variety of animals my whole life and have owned cats and dogs my whole adult life. I've recently been given the honour and opportunity to raise my Rottweiler puppy. I have spent countless hours researching best practices and would love to help with exercising your puppy pal. I hike, walk, beach and do whatever you need for your four legged family. I've had experience administering medication and providing special needs. I am currently working part time and crafting but would love to be caring for animals full time eventually. About: I grew up with intelligent dog breeds. When I was little we had Huskies, and German Shepards. Then In high school I got two Australian Shepards within the span of 2 years, and trained them both. I have since adopted an elderly Australian Shepard, so now I have three dogs. I am a winter sports fan, and an avid hiker, I love the outdoors, and like the cold. I have dog friendly transportation. I am currently a volunteer and the Potsdam Humane Society, and I am in training there to handle reactive dogs. I am a full time student at St. Lawrence University. My schedule is typically very consistent, with exception to around holiday times. I am available from 3:00p.m.-5:00p.m. M and W, 10:30a.m.-5:00p.m. T and Th, 1:00p.m. F, 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. Sat-Sun for dog walking/hiking. I have grown up handling dogs my entire life. I promise to make your dog feel safe and relaxed, to allow them to get their energy out, and to give your dog the ability to get the exercise they desperately need, while you're away at work.

She listened very carefully to feeding regimen and was the first to say whatever OUR training was would be continued knowing how important continuity is with young dogs. She is very knowledgeable with animal behavior but loves animals. Sami is a pandemic puppy so she never got a lot of socialization and gets excited meeting people. Sami got to do sooo much with Lessi that she never would have gotten to do with us. Lessi took her to the field house practice - girls and balls everywhere! I know Sami never missed us!!”

About: I’ve had dogs cats and currently have a bearded dragon, and have had no problems. My sister has used this app for a while and I have helped her. I work Monday to Thursday with weekends off. I will be able to care for the animal at anytime during the weekend or after 4:30 on weekdays. I’ve never had any problems with animals in my house. All of my animals are healthy and I always respect other peoples houses and properties.
