About: Your dog will stay in a calm, family home — not a kennel. I have gentle, respectful children who are very comfortable around dogs, creating a warm, home-style environment with plenty of natural companionship. For safety reasons, all dogs must be friendly with children. I want every dog to stay happy and healthy! Please make sure your pup is up-to-date on RABIES VACCINATION and PROTECTED AGAINST FLEAS. You’ll receive daily updates with at least 4 photos (and often videos as well), so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, safe, and well cared for. I have extensive experience with dogs of various breeds and temperaments and focus on individualized, high-quality care — from medications and senior support to extra playtime and affection. In good weather, dogs enjoy several hours outside for fresh air, play, and enrichment. I’m a stay-at-home mom, so I have plenty of time to provide attentive, hands-on care throughout the day. Our day usually starts around 7:00 am. The last potty break is typically around 9:00 pm, unless a dog needs or asks to go out later. Dogs are fed according to their usual routine. After meals, they always go outside, followed by backyard playtime. I try to keep each dog’s normal schedule as consistent as possible to help them feel comfortable and settled. I’m home most of the day, so dogs are never left alone for too long (no longer than 2 hours) Potty breaks are provided every 2–3 hours (or more often if needed). All dogs must be fully potty trained! Accidents happen and it's ok. BUT if a dog marks excessively, has repeated accidents, there's a $100 fee. We live in a quiet neighborhood with a non-fenced yard. When weather allows, we spend a lot of time outdoors. The yard is set up for dogs to enjoy safely — we have plenty of toys, a wading pool in warm weather, and a long tie-out cable for dogs. Dogs are never left alone outside. If your dog is crate trained and if you want to, you dog can sleep in a crate- you may bring your own. If your dog is not crate trained or if you don't want your dog to sleep in a crate and instead sleep in its own bed/couch/floor- they are more than welcome to do so! But you will be responsible for damages if any occur!(dogs may act differently in a new environment). A minimum damage fee is $100 Again, because this is not a kennel, this is a family home!

“Being new in the area and protective about my babies, Annakate was super helpful! She is pleasant, and as first impression are important, reliable. She showed care and interest in my pups, very important. I will definitely be asking for Annakate's helps again!”
“Jennifer was amazing! She did a great job communicating with us. Our last night away, a tree fell across our street knocking down power lines and blocking her way. She went above and beyond making it through to care for our animals!”

“Michele was absolutely wonderful! She was able to come walk our dog on very short notice. She took a lot of care to make sure our puppy had what she needed and was on time. She was a great communicator and we would gladly hire her again :)”

I’m attentive to details like feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions you provide. I work part time at dunks which makes my schedule flexible so that allows me to provide dependable care throughout the week. I am typically available mornings, evenings, and weekends, with additional availability on select weekdays depending on prior bookings. I plan my schedule to ensure each pet receives consistent attention, timely feedings, walks, and companionship. For pets requiring multiple visits per day, I can accommodate early morning, midday, and evening check-ins when arranged in advance. Because I work part-time, I am able to dedicate focused, unrushed time to each visit, making sure pets feel comfortable, cared for, and well looked after. I always communicate availability clearly and provide updates to ensure smooth scheduling and peace of mind for pet owners. My grandfather, Sid Lovett, was instrumental in my decision to make a career out of caring for animals. Safety and well-being are my top priorities. I monitor pets for any changes in behavior or health and communicate updates regularly, including photos and messages for peace of mind. I also ensure the home remains secure and follow any specific instructions provided by the owner. My goal is to make each pet feel comfortable and cared for, just as they would with their family.

On weekends, I take them on adventures around our land. Pet care brings joy and structure to my life! I care for pets in both my home and my clients' homes by providing a safe and loving environment. “Ashley is so caring and thoughtful! She wants me and my dog to be comfortable, and really understands animals and thier needs. I feel very safe having my dog be taken care of by her! Thank you Ashley!”

About: I am a lover of animals who prioritizes their, safety, health & happiness. I have years of experiencing sitting for and walking dogs and taking care of cats. I've worked with dogs with health-related medication needs, including insulin shots, rescues who take a little time to get used to someone new, and excitable puppies. I enjoy my time with animals -- they make me feel peaceful and energized, so, taking care of them is a win-win! I am always careful to follow any instructions provided around details of care -- feeding, walking, preferences around behavior or routine, let me know -- I'm here to help put you at ease while you're away from your pet. I work full-time during on weekdays in Boston starting in the afternoons, so while I am available weekday mornings, it would be more for jobs before 10am to leave time for my commute. Weekends I usually have a lot of flexibility & I'll do my best to get back to you quickly.
About: I have been caring for animals basically my entire life. It's not unusual for me to spend two weeks at a clients home to watch their dogs while they are on the road, vacation etc. I have experience with my own animals as well. I've raised many types of animals including but not limited to dogs, cats, reptiles, farm animals, etc. I was the person that fed them, walked them, provided comfort and performed any other necessary tasks needed in order to make sure the animals needs are met. Currently I have a very open schedule. My schedule is open to play, watch, feed, walk or whatever you need me to do. Occasionally I have a meeting or appointment other than that I am free. I will make sure your pet is safe while in my care whether it be on a walk or playing outside and I will supervise your pet around any other animals.
About: My name is Maggie and I am a registered nurse who likes spending time with animals. I have had lots of experience caring for dogs and cats alike. I have had pets my whole life and I started sitting my cousin’s dog and another dog while I was babysitting for a family. Then I got a job as an assistant for a woman who has 2 cats, so I care for them as well. I also had my own cat. I have been professionally dog walking for about 6 years and I love it. It's a very fun job and I am responsible caring for anyone's pets and only have had good reviews. I currently work 3 nights a week, and other than that I’m available at least until July 12 2025. Message me for more details :) I don’t care for pets in my own home because it’s a rental but I can go to client’s homes without a problem at all.
About: Had a deep soul connection with my cat Marbles for 15 years 🖤🐈⬛🌹 I enjoy showing animals comfort and care. Not afraid to get down on the ground and play either :) I’m an intuitive and allow animals their space and time to enjoy nature. I prefer not to rush them but can stay on schedule if need be. Please book a drop-in visit if you’d like an in-person meet and greet. I prefer not to be around cigarettes, vape, artificial scents and harsh chemicals (detergents, dryer sheets, perfumes, candles, air fresheners, harsh chemicals, etc.) These are not healthy for us or our beloved animals ✌️🐾♥️). *Important* my house is temporarily limited at the moment, so for daycare services, I’d prefer to entertain your dog (or cat on a leash) around town, hang out at the lodge or go for a long walk or hike rather than back to my place. If this is an issue, please message me before booking. When messaging please include a “💚” so I know you read this. Thank you! Additionally, please message me if you would like to discuss rates. Thank you 🥰♥️🤗 I’m pretty flexible at the moment; albeit a tad busy also. I do have one other dog that I walk morning and night but we can work around that. If it is an emergency I could probably work something out for home care but right now I’m primarily caring for animals around their own home and neighborhood.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
