About: I have 20 years of hands-on animal care experience, and I actually love being around them, and putting my skills to good use. They bring me great joy, and I try to reciprocate that. I would love to work locally so I am able to work my own hours around my grandsons educational needs, while providing income by doing what I love. I have my Veterinary Assistant certificate, and have experience in applying some medications. I am aware of the drastic New England temperatures, as I've lived her all my life, and I take that into great consideration when caring for the animals entrusted in my care. I appreciate your consideration. Thank you for your time. I am available seven days a week, 24/7 I can work a schedule with you, or be on call. I will send you pictures and updates, you can call to check in at anytime at all. I have always practiced safety first when working with animals. I truly love them all, and will take necessary precautions to prevent anything negative happening. I make them feel at home while in my care, they are allowed free range of my home. I know some dogs can go unleashed, but I do NOT let them off leash while in my care. I apologize for this, but I will walk them on a leash as many times as they like!

We look forward to meeting you and your fur family! We follow a weekly pet care work schedule to make sure your pets are taken care of based on our agreed commitment. We prioritize the schedule, and operate on a first come, first serve basis. At an initial meet and greet, we come prepared with questions. We use a written questionnaire covering your pet’s routine, personality, health, and quirks, along with home access, expectations, and emergency plans. We want to understand your pet holistically, so they get the seamless care and love they need. We then use this as our guide when they are in our care. We carry professional pet care liability insurance covering pet sitting, dog walking, and house sitting. That includes animal bailee (pet protection) coverage, which goes beyond what a standard liability policy usually covers. It’s there to protect you and your pet if the unexpected happens while they’re in our care. Our policy also includes veterinary reimbursement, so if your pet needs urgent care during a visit, we can get them to the vet right away. We’re covered for lost keys too, so your home access is protected. Proof of insurance is available on request. We’ll keep you in the loop with updates that fit your schedule, and we’ll always treat your home and your pet with the care we’d want for our own.

With 5+ years of pet-sitting experience and professional experience at Bear Brook Kennels, I’ve had the opportunity to care for a wide variety of animals and gain hands-on experience with pets of many different breeds, personalities, temperaments, and needs. At Bear Brook Kennels, I cared for dogs, cats, and exotic animals, learning how important it is to understand each pet’s individual routine and personality. I’ve also had experience caring for police K9s while they were boarded, which gave me the opportunity to work around highly trained working dogs and taught me the importance of following specific care instructions, routines, and handling requirements. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets who needed everything from daily walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship to extra patience, attention, medication administration and individualized care. I’m comfortable working with energetic pups, senior pets, shy or nervous animals, and pets who need a little extra time to feel comfortable with someone new. My goal is simple: to make your pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. My schedule is already fairly flexible, and starting in mid-October, my availability will open up significantly.
