“While I was away, Sade had excellent communication with me the entire time. She sent pictures and updates regularly, which I really appreciated. She also followed the meal plan I provided perfectly and took great care of Peanut. I would definitely highly recommend Sade to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter, and I will absolutely be using her again in the very near future!”

“Jackie is a very caring dog sitter, who worked with my dog Rosie to make her feel comfortable in her home. Jackie kept me informed about how Rosie was doing through commentary, photos & a funny video illustrating how Rosie had relaxed and enjoyed playing with Jackie’s family. I will contact her next time I need dog care.”

“Cedric & his family are so wonderful with my high energy girl & make her feel at home! He was able to help me out after I had someone cancel last minute & he’s always so communicative & helpful. I always know my Mila is in great, safe hands while under his care.”

“With our permission, mine took knomi to the beach, as usual, she had a blast, he kept us up to date and laughing with great photos and storyline. Some times I wish I was being taken care of by Mike because I think my dog leads a more exciting life that I do while we are away, thank you again Mike!”

“Jennifer and family were great!! I think they went above and beyond to care for our dog Chewie while we were out of town for Thanksgiving. I would highly recommend her and will book her again when needed!! Thanks Jennifer💕”

“Jen and her husband are the best! Top three reasons we liked them so much: 1. They were so sweet to our pup and seemed to really enjoy her company. 2. They asked great questions before we dropped off, worked with us to plan a meet up beforehand, and kept us updated on how our pup was doing. 3. Their home is peaceful, clean, and I felt confident our pup would be safe.”

“Highly recommend Marya! She was sweet and professional and sent me more pictures than I can ask for. Our dog is also epileptic and had a few seizures while with her. She remained calm and followed the directions as exactly as we asked her too and Mochi seemed happy. Her house was also clean which is oddly not the case for lots of sitters we've used. We will be using her again!”

“Amazingly kind people with a great setup for taking care of dogs. I was very impressed with everything and loved the photos I received while I was traveling. Highly recommend.”

“Thank you so much for taking such wonderful and loving care of our Noah 😃🙏🏻 he’s not the easiest puppy to care for, but they did a fantastic job caring for him and made sure he was happy and healthy throughout his stay. They sent thorough updates and pictures throughout his stay, which was greatly appreciated. I would love to book them again in the future and would highly recommend them. Thank you so much for making Noah’s experience a wonderful one!”

“Ann was very kind and thoughtful, making our kitty feel at home and putting us at ease while we were away. She sent daily updates including some follow-up questions to provide the best care for our kitty. Thank you, Ann!”

“Thank you so much for such wonderful care for our Miss Appa! It was so nice to relax at our out-of-town event and see the pics/videos of her getting walks and play times. And that was so nice of you to sleep down on the couch with her. She is a lucky dog!”

“Nancy took amazing care of my senior dog Abbey for a week while we were out of town. She took her on frequent walks, and gave her lots of attention. We got photo and video updates of how Abbey was doing. We felt like Abbey was in great hands while we were gone. Would definitely have Nancy take care of our dog again.”

About: I’ve been working with dogs for 7 years now but to be honest it doesn’t feel like a job, I love animals and spend as much time I can with them, I grew up with all Kinds of pets but my all time favorite are dogs currently I have 7 dogs (they live in my mom house), I used to volunteer in a shelter. I consider myself a very outgoing and active person who love to go to the park or the beach and take long walks, I don’t mind to bath your dog or clean as much as it needs. I’m available Monday to Saturday an occasional Sunday mornings, I can also do occasional overnight sitting just let me know at least one week in advanced
“Cali loved her stay at Tonya’s! She enjoyed lounging on the sofa with the family, getting plenty of sunshine in her lovely backyard, and good walks for exercise. I knew that Cali was in the best of hands while we were away, and that she was getting lots of love and attention, so I didn’t worry about her at all. Tonya is wonderful and my hope is that we can always have her watch Cali when we go away!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Trowbridge home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Trowbridge.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Trowbridge sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
